Thornhill Community Centre

A quiet community centre for different kinds of activities for children and adults. A real community setting that’s always welcoming to everyone. Located at the intersections of Bayview Avenue and John Street

Fantastic centre for families and seniors. Markham provides a lot of classes / clubs here. Skating rink, fitness center, activities rooms, Library and friendly people. This is what "community" is.
It is an older facility and it would be nice for some upgrades here but it's well maintained, so overall it's a good place to be.

It includes two ice rinks, gym, running track, therapeutic pool, dancing studio, basketball & squash coures, library, and a few other amenities in the facility

Very nice and clean community centre. It has plenty of time slots for badminton programs. However, you need to pre-register and prepay for the whole season.

A great and amazing community center that would suit any community member, services from A to Z. From Gym, library, skating rings for many available activities to cat adoption and senior services. Been using this place for a decade by now, a solid A+ from me

Love the Adult Intro to Hockey Program offered by the City of Markham and been coming every Saturday for the last year

If you are a healthy and active retiree, the Senior Club i side TCC has enough/all kinds of activities to keep you busy for the whole day.

Parking spaces are in high demand, should go early!

Fantastic Community library and rec sports / camps for the community. Been a member for decades.

This community centre has many things that others don't: ice arena, cat adoption, seniors center and squash courts. It's also next to a shopping center.
Only problem: the arena has a strange smell.

Nice big community center with library and ice arena. Friendly and helpful stuff, lots of programs for kids.

This is a lovely place to come spend some time relaxing if you want to get away from the busy world

This CC has upgraded so much since my childhood. New gym! Library, the activity rooms are in use, and a permanent cat adoption center!

Nice facility and huge parking lot but traffic van get busy so you might want to use side streets to get there.

A big community centre covers a lot of sport and leisure activities; from toddlers to senior. Plenty of parking and swinming and skate available

Always good to visit this place. I ref here quite often and it is always clean and well kept. They do a great job helping anyone out who needs it

Its near to my house and its convinient in terms on books you needed and they allow you to bring it home and retuned it within long length of time.

Conveniently located next to the library. There's no shortage of seats or a quiet place to sit usually. I've used the Therapeutic Pool for my son when he was under 3, sent him to the March Break camp and also used one of the party rooms for a family event. In general, this is not the biggest or best equipped of the Markham community centres but it is clean and centrally located for me.
