How a business deals with a problem says so much more than when everything runs smoothly. The staff at Thornhill Toyota went above my expectations to make something right.
We bought a used Honda from Nash at Thornhill Toyota. The vehicle had just arrived and was still “in the back” (safety and detailing not finished). But with a simple call, they were able to have it ready on the lot for us to test drive. We picked it up a week later and brought it home (about an hour drive).
The next day the vehicle didn’t start. It was probably a bad/old battery but to be sure, we called the manager to let him know. Without being asked, he offered to make everything right. We were given door-to-door service to get our van back to the dealership. They replaced the battery and double checked other components.
Not once in the process did anyone make me feel like they were “doing us a favour” or that we were an inconvenience. I was able to go on with my day without having to worry about how we would fit it into out schedules (with two young kids) to bring the van back to Thornhill. This is the epitome of excellent customer service.

I’d recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy new or used because of our experience.

Aug 11,2018 - edit. Very disappointed that the highlander needed an alignment after only 1.5 years of ownership. Have and had several other Toyota's where even after 10yrs FJ, 4runner, Yaris, Corolla have never once needed an alignment. Ok I understand things happen but for the service advisor to not do this at no charge and not acknowledge that this is not right is disappointing. To bad it's the little things a dealership should know when to sweep under the mat when a client keeps coming back to purchase cars over and over. Who knows maybe Maple Toyota will be my next stop for my next vehicle.
It's not the $99.00 it's the principle.

Mr. Saru was my salesperson. It was only because of his friendly approach, extensive product knowledge, listening to what the customer wants, I bought my 2021 Camry XSE Hybrid at this showroom. He used to be very responsive and accurate to the details. Really had a great experience at the dealership. Special mention to Maryam for her impeccable expertise in the field. Delivery of the car was lightning fast. I would definitely recommend Saru to everyone to get their dream car fast and hassle free.

Bought car from here. But want to share my last service experience.
Booked appointment for 4: 30 pm for oil change and other check up. I was having few issues with some retelling sound coming from multiple spots and battery. I arrived at 4: 30 pm and they collected my keys at 4: 35 pm. After that the representative who was assigned to me for quotation left his desk and came back at 4: 50pm. He said only oil change can be done at this time as they will be closing at 6pm. He told me to book another appointment. Oil change done in 30 min and my car was standing out at 5: 20 pm.
Concerns: 1. What is the point of confirming an appointment if you are not prepared to give requested service. Not concern for customer time.
2. If the customer is arriving on requested time then why they are kept on waiting and representative absent from desk.
3. Fells like no basic checkup was done.as no feel of brake adjustment, tyre pressure change.
4. Rude representative: His takes: In this time only oil change can be done/ said this is not enough time for other check up and asked why am I late without knowing I waited there for him for 20 min.
5. On phone the representative said 4: 30 pm will be right time to get everything done but then on arrival no body listened.

Probably looking for another nearby service centre next time.

At first we only visited this location to check out the cars, but we ended up buying a car in the next 2 following days. Mr. Sergiy Zavtur, the gentleman who helped us, was so extremely professional and informative about all of my questions. Thanks to him I now own an amazing vehicle. I would’ve love to give him 10 stars but I can only do 5… Thank you Mr. Sergiy for all your time, patience, and great guidance!

Thornhill Toyota can at best be described as an unethical dealership, that employs deceitful sales tactics and does not deliver. Honesty, Integrity, and Doing the Right Thing, are never characteristics that you should have to be concerned about as a consumer. Let me share the details of the experience below:

1: In mid - August, we test drove a 2021 Sienna with Jeff Wong, and agreed to purchase a build that was inbound for dealership and due to land in early September. We brought our existing Prius for Jeff to evaluate and agreed on a 3% discount due to the model year-end and accepting the build as-is

2: When we returned to sign the paperwork, Jeff lied to the management team saying he had never seen our trade before, and they offered 25% less than what was agreed. Further, Jeff reneged on the 3% discount, and when I spoke with the sales manager, Milan Novakovic, he said 'Jeff can say whatever he want's, but I make the decisions'. How is it reasonable for sales people to make agreements with customers if they cant not honour? After several painful hours we agreed to take the Sienna once they restored the original offer for the trade. They continued to reneg on the MSRP discount.

3. Fast forward to Sept 11th, anticipated delivery week. Jeff Wong calls me back and says that 'your vehicle is no longer available, it was pulled from our system'. How is it possible that a specific car that I engaged in a contract for, that Thornhill Toyota accepted a $3k deposit on, and was set for delivery 3 weeks after signing suddenly disappears? Was the car allocated to another customer? Were they lying about availability when I originally signed? Is there some other explanation?

4. Following the phone call from Jeff Wong where he communicated that they would not be delivering on the contract, he tried to convince me to take a lower trim that would supposedly arrive in two weeks, explaining that that some of the features we purchased were not really worth it and this would be cheaper. Huh? He then tried to pressure me and said if I didn't accept the lower trim, I would probably end up with nothing. I don't even know how to process these type of bait and switch, and pressure tactics.

5. I asked for Jeff to have Milan Novakovic call me back so that I could further understand He said 'he'll call you back in an hour, Saturday is our sales day so he is tied up with other deals. ' This was in the morning, I waited until 5: 23pm to follow up with Jeff because I have no other contact information, and he simply said again 'he'll call you when he's free'. He never called.

6. I am not in the precarious position of having a contract that Thornhill Toyota has indicated that they have no intention of fulfilling, and uncertainty on what has happened and how to move forward. What type of business people behave like this? How is this acceptable conduct?

I cannot condemn Toyota overall, as we have had good experiences with previous vehicles, however, if this is a brand you are interested in, I strongly recommend that you avoid Thronhill Toyota and work with one of the many other Toyota dealerships in the GTA.

Jeff Wong is super nice and helped me a lot when I got the Corolla. 5/5 stars for him. If you need an assistance, it's better to deal with Jeff. For Ellaeh the financing manager wasn't great when she assisted us. She was late when we about to get the car and signing the deal. She was also not following up if there's any progress and giving an attitude whenever I asked for an update. Waited the whole day just to get the vehicle and advised to get back after 3 hours but ended up waiting for 6 hours. At the time of getting the car, she didn't assisted us right away. Better ask for another financing manager who cares about their customers not how much commission they're getting

Had a salesman by the name of Jason Dai and he was amazing. He made us feel so comfortable and really listened and took our needs into consideration. He was very friendly and took his time with explaining everything perfectly. He helped me find and buy an amazing car.

I want to thank Daniel Lee for helping me purchase a new RAV4. He provided me with all the information of cars and the process of purchase. During the process I was comfortable and didn't feel pressure. And he handled all the steps quickly and thoroughly. If you do your own research and make reasonable offer to the dealer, they will listen. Also thanks to Peter Kim (sales manager) who settled the deal.

I want to express my profound thanks to the amazing guys/gals at Wietzes Toyota, especially Assad Mahmood, and the automobile technician Paul Savage for saving me from a predicament that I was in.

I own a Toyota Camry Hybrid with push button start, and had my last of the key fobs stolen during a burglary. I towed my car to the nearest Toyota dealer in Ancaster, and over a period 3 days and evolving stories - wait for it - they wanted me to cough up a whopping 2600 dollars to replace a key fob! They explained that I will have to replace the immobilizer unit, and the "Junction Block", just to get the car started so the new key can be programmed. This turned out to be absolute nonsense, as events would prove. Read on.

In desperation, I called a friend of mine, Joe at RPM Auto Service in North York, and he recommended that I contact Wietzes Toyota, which I did right away and got on phone with Assad. When I explained my problem, Assad said they can certainly take care of it, and asked me to tow my car to Wietzes.

With the fresh trauma of dealing with the other dealer and their evolving stories, I was at first quite skeptical - so I persisted in questioning him saying "Are you sure you guys can start and program the key even though I have zero keys left? ". Assad answered "This is technology, and anything possible with technology! ". Then he went on to explain the technical details with confidence. His knowledgeable explanation, and confidence and pride in their work evaporated any skepticism I had, and I took the decision to tow my car over there - roughly 2 hours away (thank you CAA). I reached there around 3: 00 pm.

Having heard my story about the burglary, and sympathizing with my predicament, Assad immediately took it up on himself to make sure I leave with my car the same day. Assad called in Paul, and Paul despite his busy schedule, volunteered to squeak me in - and got my car sorted out by closing time. No parts other than the key fob needed replacement. Same immobilizer and same Junction block stayed.

And the bill? Around 800 dollars! Compare that to the 2600 dollar fortune that the pirates (*) of Ancaster were trying to plunder! (*: I mean this in a jovial way - in defense of the Ancaster guys, I am not impugning their motive, it could just have been a knowledge/training issue with them, with no intention of defrauding me. Those guys also came across as honest and sincere)

I remain profoundly thankful, and in admiration of the technical competence, dedication, and professionalism of Assad and Paul.

Called in service department to schedule an appointment to do recall on my Toyota Tacoma Xrunner: frame recall as well as gas pedal and passenger seat belt. Came to a dealership and person told me that my car is not registered with Toyota Canada (it is a US car). They said they will send request to register it and then they will be able to do recall on it. I was ok let me know when it will be registered. 2-3 passed I called them they said come in for recall we will do it. Came there and person told me they won't do recall on frame because title of a car is salvage and as of other two recalls they cannot do it because car is yet not registered with Toyota Canada (car has Ontario ownership and was here for 5 years already). After that I believe I went one more time after phone conversation where they said they will do recall and still the same bs answer. Service person told me that he will call me back personally. Today is July 12 and I am still waiting for call back since March. If this is how you conduct business I m surprised you are still selling cars not hot dogs. If I get into accident and cause will be due to recall not being completed I will be coming after you. Side note, love the car but your service ultimately sucks!

I have an appointment today at 5: 00pm to get winter tire change. When they looked my car and complete my paper work for me to sign, I asked them how long does it take. He told me 60 to 90 minutes. After 95mins, I have not received any call regarding to my service. I asked him how long more, he replied to me that " We did not even started my car yet". I was so mad with his response. He should have told me that rather than let me wait for entire 90 mins. I have been here so many times before I was always happy with them. Except service today was horrible and I have to leave with my car without winter changes for more than 90 mins waiting: (

This is a good place to look for a suitable car. They helped me get what I was looking for. Ask for Mark if you need a used car. He will make sure you get what you need.
