Thuan Kieu Vietnamese Restaurant

Exceptional food, my go to for Viet-Thai fusion. I drive from Strathroy just to have this. Staff is always friendly and food is always consistent.

The food was really good, the staff were friendly and nice. Our big issue was that our food came late (30mins late), from the time they took our order (3 dishes). So, late that we ordered before a couple, and they ate half of their meals before we got ours.

I used to like this restaurant when they first opened but took a break for a few years after I was served a pork ball with a piece of plastic wrapper in it. I decided a few months ago to try them again, after being seated we waited over half an hour and no server came so I left. Today, I thought that I would give them one more opportunity. Again we were seated and after 20 min of no service we left again. I'm not trying again.

Ordered pad thai and beef pho rice noodles soup, pad thai was the worst i ever had it was like ketchup mixed overcooked noodles and the beef pho rice noodle soup was ok not so good. Wont order again

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years and we are always pleased with the food and service! All the meals taste authentic, the quality of the ingredients are amazing, the meals are always consistent and the portion sizes are large! Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone! There is something on the menu for all! Would definitely recommend their fried rice (regular and pad thai), vermicelli bowls, pad thai, curry Singapore noodles, vermicelli chicken curry stew, black bean noodles, fresh spring rolls (also known as summer rolls), and their beef and rice dish!

Nice little restaurant on Highbury Ave in London, Ont.
I had a delicious meal and the prices of the menu items was quite reasonable.
We didn't have to wait long for our order.

Absolutely phenomenal very tasty food, huge portions. Although I got my meal a good 15 minutes before my partner did. It was an amazing dining experience. The menus though are hard to read, low lighting and shiny.

Awesome. Was in town and thought I would give it a try. Food was so fresh and service was excellent. If I could give it more stars I would.

If you want to taste diluted soups lacking hearty flavour, and the essence of Vietnamese sweet, sour, and salty flavours, you can come here. Tried their fried spring rolls, special beef pho, and spicy beef tomato soup, and lychee drink. All very disappointing. The spicy tomato soup didn't taste spicy at all, and was quite sweet.who wants sweet beef tomato soup? I tried to rescue the soup with Sriracha sauce that is available at each table and even that didn't help. The lychee drink tasted like the leftover juice from canned lychee but diluted. And it came with green jellies that were definitely one of the lowest quality jellies. The texture of the jelly was so gross. The spring rolls are just okay. Nothing special about them. The dipping sauce that came with the spring rolls were again, so disappointing (lacking flavour, tastes diluted).

Also, there's no social distancing! No dividers! I felt so uncomfortable and unsafe about how close I was with other people especially because the greeter didn't even properly check for the vaccine status of those dining in. Unbelievable.

Servers need more training as well. They rarely pay any attention to your needs.

This place is disappointing in every aspect. If you love Vietnamese food and want good and SAFE dining experience, this is not the place.

Have ordered from this place nemerous times.
Wong tong soup with egg noodle is delicious.

There customer service is great.
They allways seem to be understaffed so go easy on them.
So If you're ordering on wknds bear in mind they are crazy busy.
This place when they do wrongs there good at fixing there issues. They made a mistake on my order which I kept that food as I was home and got a free order next time I came in.

Everything on the menu looks so good and if you ask for a modification with the food they get it right!:) yoooo I asked y’all for chicken pad Thai and all they literally gave me was noodles peanuts and chicken but still tasty AF

Today when i call to book reservation for a table, the frontdesk is extremely RUDE! She put me on hold for TWICE and distrub me once I told her I WANT TO MAKE A RESERVATION. I m feeling thwy are arrogant and not care about customer. DONT GO THIS PLACE!

I am amazed at how incompetent the waiters and waitresses are here. They serve food but don’t provide any chopsticks. My wife ordered pork chop, but doesn’t bring a fork or knife. Also, they completely forget my order and when I asked, the girl said she would check, but doesn’t come back to let me know what is going on. I had to ask again if she checked and that is when she says they are making the food. After waiting a little while longer, I was feeling quite full from eating appetizer and sharing my wife’s food so I decided to cancel my dish. Somehow, not a single apology was given for completely forgetting my dish. Overall, one of the worst I have experienced at a restaurant so far.

Food was par for the course for Vietnamese fair. Not the worst pho place I've been to but not the best either. Service is excruciatingly slow.

Very mediocre. Some of the dishes we ordered were down right terrible. Beef was so dry and over cooked. Cantonese chow mein was nothing special and had like 5 tiny pieces of chicken in the whole dish. Pad Thai fried rice could have used more seafood. I was very disappointed with the quality and looks like they are cheaping out with some of the ingredients and lacking lots of flavour (definitely not reflected in the price $$$). That being said I’ve always been satisfied with the pho from this place. I don’t think I’d order anything other than pho and maybe the vermicelli.

Was really disappointed by the pad Thai. It tasted like ketchup and only had noodles and the protein in it. Would not order again and would not recommend

Great pad Thai and the pork on shrimp chips was a highlight. The marinade and the dipping sauce were on point. The deluxe pad Thai had shrimp, tofu, chicken and squid, all cooked perfection. We didn't have it but the Pho on the table next to us looked amazing too!
We ordered the large pad Thai which was a lot for 2 people but we almost finished it. We asked for the regular level of spice which was no problem for us. Had a bit a kick but nothing intense. We also had the pork and shrimp fresh rolls with a peanut sauce which were fine. I'm not a fan of fresh rolls so I'm not a good judge, my partner said she enjoyed them.
One thing for certain, we look forward to going back and trying other things!

First time in London as my nephew is going in to first year at Western. Great food, friendly staff, and was quick! Will definitely be back.

If you don't like ketchup, don't get their pad thai. It's ketchup based and tastes very strongly of it. Their food is amazing though. Their fried rice dishes are all scrumptious and the spring rolls are big and delicious. Fresh rolls were super fresh. And you honestly can't beat their customer service. Shout out to the manager, Min, for running a top notch establishment. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family.

Doordash cancelled order after food was already made. The owner himself stayed an hour after closing to ensure I received my food, even offered me a discount! Thuan Kieu not only delivered amazing customer service, but a delicious meal as well. Definitely going to be dining in once restaurants reopen!

TK used to be a favorite spot. However, their portion composition has dramatic changed for the worse. Pad Thai has barely anything in it but noodles. I had a large deluxe with only a couple small pieces of chicken and 2 shrimp. Not a single piece of any squid. Very disappointing, especially for the price.

Pretty authentic Asian foods. Lots of selections. They give extra stuff for pho noodles. Vermicelli is refreshing. Vietnamese coffee is delicious. And different kinds of smoothies are must try!

Ordered a vegetarian meal and got pieces of meat in my dish. They never apologized and it took so long to get my meal fixed.

All time favourite Vietnamese restaurant. Best pad Thai I’ve ever had - and I’ve tried numerous places. I’ve been eating at this restaurant for 13 years. The owner is so courteous and friendly. The prices are surprisingly low with massive portions. The pho is the best comfort when you’re sick.

Please support this local restaurant. It's doing a wonderful job serving the public and as always great food, excellent service, good prices and they have great covid protocols.

Some of the best pho I've ever had. In fact, it's so good that I've ordered almost nothing else from their menu in the 5 years I've been going there. That being said said, their shrimp and pork rolls and peanut sauce are amazing. But for real, if you want pho, this is the place to go; it's fresh, fragrant, and delicious.

Been going to Thuan Kieu for YEARS (since they were located at Sandford and Huron St), had the worst experience just this past week: tried to sell me a bubble tea, wasn't a bubble tea, I took it back into the store and asked if that was actually a bubble tea as there wasn't any tapioca? I got laughed at, no refund, nothing. They assured me that it was a bubble tea, and that they ran out of tapioca. After attempting to contact them via email (with a copy of the receipt) they apologized for the customer service but didn't seem to care that they're selling "bubble tea" without tapioca and offered nothing in return (said that customers weren't ordering it and it was a waste, but they'll continue to sell the product anyway - and not inform customers). Wouldn't recommend; I will take my business elsewhere (especially since they knew we were driving in from out of town to pick up).

Great food at a very affordable price my family and I go to eat here every time we are in London and the staff is very friendly

The food is superb. The staff is great. The atmosphere is most welcoming. The owners and family couldnt be nicer. A must est at restaurant!

I've been eating Pho from all over Vietnam and throughout Ontario. At least one bowl a week for 41 years. I have to say avoid Pho from this place. I order a large, and the broth is tasteless. The beef is hard and chewy, and worst is not generous servings. This place is trying to pulled a quick one on Pho. Very expensive for a simple dish like Pho. I don't recommend Pho here.

The best pad thai I've ever had. Get the shrimp and chicken, large or extra large and have for two or three meals. So good.

Best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. I’ll never order Chinese or Vietnamese food from anywhere else. Life changing food, Ill be recommending it to everyone.

The absolute best restaurant in London! The delivery driver is awesome, very outgoing and professional! But now for the food! The pad Thai is amazing, spring rolls are valued for the great price they offer them, and most importantly their soups! I’ve had nothing but great experiences and I must admit ordering online makes it simple, thank you for your business and look forward to more great times

1 star for now. My gf swears by this place. But. My first time going it wasn't too busy, we were seated quickly order taken fairly fast.then the wait. Aprox 30 mins got our one dish. It did taste amazing! Beef vermicilli in black bean sauce I believe. Ate about half then stopped a server to enquire about our apps and other dish. Or spring rolls arrived few minutes later. They were good. Go back to eating our one plate when BAM bit into something big and hard. Spit it out looked like a rock piece. Now I was done. We grabbed a server told her what happened she said ok they will see where our other dish is and asked if I wanted a new dish. We said no thank you we just want to leave (been there Aprox 45-50 mins now) she said o.k but we have to pay for the spring rolls first. My gf being a very repeat customer over the years recognised a manager so we spoke with him. He was great said the sauce come prepackaged and unfortunately this has happened before. He assured us to come back he will take care of us. We will go back and I will update my review pending that experience.

Son and I stopped in for take out. I ordered pad thai rice and he got some beef noodle soup thing. While mine was about 5 cups worth the taste was nasty. His was nothing more than a bowl of ramen with broth over it. 2 pcs of beef and lettuce tomato on top? Side salad on top? Wont be back

Took a very long time for the food to come out, almost an hour wait after we ordered. The Vietnamese coffee was very good! But the dishes other then the Pho was very bland and the portions are small for the cost. Would not recommend going

Clean, big portions, fast service even when busy. Good for families, and dates. Vegan/vegetarian friendly. I ordered the vegetarian pad Thai, and they asked me if I wanted egg or not, which I found considerate. The vegetarian fresh rolls we're also good. And if you like tofu, it was pretty great My friend also like the beef vermicelli. Definitely planning on coming back.

One of my favorite restaurants in London. I've been eating at thuan Kieu since their original location which was a tiny hole in the wall with amazing food. They've come a long way and haven't sacrificed flavour. Id recommend an order of spring rolls each and the special vermacelli with added Sriracha and soy sauce.

I won’t give them a low star because I didn’t like my food. I should have stuck with Vietnamese cuisine at a Vietnamese restaurant.duh! I ordered the pad Thai and it wasn’t to my standards.being a pad Thai fanatic (way too much tofu not enough chicken.way too much noodle not enough veg) yes I ordered both style pad thai’s! I am very sure that their Vietnamese dishes will be enjoyable and delicious! Better luck next time?

What kind of customer do you need?
Few weeks ago I had a conversation with one of your worker, she told that she bled when she was cutting shrimp for whatever dishes. I told her to be more careful, and I would ever never not eat that dish in Thuan Kieu. She replied me that “Thuan Kieu restaurant DOES NOT NEED CUSTOMER LIKE YOU! ”.
Oh well, so what kind of customer do you serve? The one who is willing to eat your worker’s blood hiding somewhere in the food?
By the way, do you really hire some people that despise customers like her to work for the restaurant?

Staff are very friendly. Food is delicious and the portions are generous. Atmosphere is great and I need to say this, the bathrooms are very clean and smell good. Great experience. Definitely coming again!

Always have good friendly service and good food. However as a paying customer ordering food, dont plan on socializing at your table with your group of friends. They will ask you to leave so they can have that table for other customers waiting in line.

Fast friendly service. Loved the rice wrapped shrimp with noodles. The shrimp soup was delishes & a big serving even for a small bowl. Light & nutritious meal was served with flavorful green tea. A must visit in London. (pronounce than kju).

If I could give this place zero stars I would! Ordered take out on three dishes, one of them was the wrong order. The other two were the most flavourless noodle dishes I've ever tasted (chow mein with only two shrimp? And beef rice noodles). Straight up just grease and noodles. Better off getting a meal at McDonalds.

Veggie Pad Thai.had no veggies accept peas and mushrooms? And tasted like Frank's Red Hot Sauce instead of the traditional spice that comes from a crushed chili n oil sauce.

I thought the broth tasted a little bit like soap but my Japanese friend said that's just what Vietnamese food tastes like, I don't have a good pallet for Vietnamese food though so I guess my opinion doesn't matter too much, keep that in mind.

Since my first stop in, I've been hooked on their expedient, fast friendly service and well priced, consistently satisfying foods. You'll crave their generously portioned Pho (especially the 101) as it is simply fantastic! Anytime I'm in the area, I can't help but stop in for a quick bowl.

Also recommended: Their Durian Slush/Smoothie for those who already love durian, or even for those who have not yet tried this wonderful King of Fruits

Love this place so much. The owner is always so nice and checking up on all the customers. Portions are huge and food is delicious. It's a little out of our way but worth the drive.

My favourite place to get Vietnamese dishes. Service is always great in restaurant — get our food quickly and have never had a wrong order or a missed item. Staff is always pleasant. Just love it here!
