Absolutely terrible family law experience. Theodora acts on impulse and has a temper that - instead of owning, correcting & apologizing for her mistakes - blames the client. She is unprofessional, lacks experience &, for reasons unknown, was unkind to us from the time the retainer was signed (even small talk & smiles were met with hostile glares). She berated the victim of domestic abuse, telling the victim that she came into her office "complaining" about being abused, complaining about this & that" in an angry rant at the client when she (Theodora) was feeling frustrated that she had given us bad advice & was feeling the heat of her mistake from the opposing party, who contacted her. She talks about sensitive case information with opposing parties & other clients. She gives contradicting advice & has even stated that her role is NOT to give legal advice but to "fill out forms". I have a strong suspicion that her intention is to collect easy legal aid money & that she is not prepared to handle anything more than filling out standard forms. In nearly 30 days not a single document was submitted to the court - & with the victim of abuse shaking like a leaf in fear for her child's safety, something needed to be done. We dismissed Theodora, went to the court house the next day and had an emergency ex parte motion filed with court to protect the child's safety & got the application filed & served as well. All in a day. Theodora repeatedly told us she had other clients & to expect it to take over a year like another client (who's details I won't share - the details should've been confidential in the first place!). We repeatedly were told that she had other priorities, other clients ahead of us. Don't bother wasting your time with this one for family law. I was shocked by all the 5 star reviews but then I realized that those people were just looking to get something notorized (a form filled out). Obviously attempting family court is out of her depth.

Theodora has helped me with my family law matters. Expedited motion to have my concerns addressed. She's a no nonsense type of person which I appreciate, I wasn't looking for someone to sugarcoat things, I needed someone to be direct and say things how they are, which she did and she left no room for misinterpretation or misunderstandings. My experience with her has been pleasant, she has been patient with me and my busy work schedule. As a single mother of a young child she has been super accomodating to my chaotic schedule, from seeing me late in the evening after my son has gone to bed (well after shes closed) to even allowing me to bring him to some appointments. She will definitely be someone I will contact should I need someone to represent me in my family law matters in the future. Thank you Theodora for all your help and guidance.
