Tipsy Toesy Nails

I had a great experience getting my nails done for the first time in years. Clean salon, friendly staff and good prices. I am a simple, modest woman. I don't like long nails and bright colors. Another salon I went to the tech kept making annoying jokes about the length I wanted and that my nails were too simple. But not at this salon the tech was happy to try to give me exactly what I asked for, she was gentle and friendly. The only thing missing was a hand massage.

First timer, and I am thoroughly happy with Tipsy Toesy nails and their service!

I must say that I felt comfortable the entire time - comfortable in scheduling the appointment (which they were able to do for me same day), comfortable in their physical handling of my toes and fingernails, comfortable in expressing/changing what I wanted through words and photographs without threat of impatience or ridicule, and comfortable watching “Master of None” on their tv as they worked away on me *LOL*.

I did not catch the name of the lovely girl who did my nails for me, but she was so gentle and accommodating of my needs. She took her time, (and I had time to take) listened to my preferences and gave me pearly, galactic nails that have been shaped into the neatest coffin style * see photos! They aren’t in the least bulky, and that’s important to me because I have small and skinny fingers! They could be taken for my natural nails! She also gave me respectful input on what color combinations would create the effect that I was going for.

I will definitely be back here! Today, I booked a bio gel refill and shellac painted fingernails + shellac painted toenails, and $90 for my particular service is a pretty decent price point comparatively for that!

Horrible customer service.
They using Chinese language and discuss a customer right in front there face and giggle.
The women in a braces acts like she is out of her mind.
Her behaviour and jokes absolutely unappropriated.
As soon as the clients leaves the salon, they begin to discuss about them.
They discuss my makeup in front of my face on Chinese but i understand it.
Its such an impression that its not a Canada but somewhere in a Asia.
They must speak English only in front of client.
I got a pedicure on Sunday from a lady i believe her name is Sam. Horrible quality.
She was in rush not to do a pedicure but charge me.
Wasting of money

I love Helen, always does a beautiful job, my nails last and gives them a beautiful shape. Shes amazing.

Newer again. They speak Chinese language. They’re noEnglish except honey money. No customer service. The manicure was a joke. They are in rush. Go somewhere else

I have been going to tipsy for over a year and they never fail to do a perfect job! The staff is so welcoming and wonderful. I will always come back here:)

I got a refill here, it's terrible. I asked for coffin shape, I got all different shapes, coffin, square, you name the shape, it's on my nails (none of them look the same.) I asked for them to keep my nails long. They are short, they don't even pass my finger tips and none of them are the same in length. They were so harsh with their filing and drilling, I got cut multiple times to the point where I was bleeding. When I asked them to fix my nails, they said "I just did what was do what you asked for. " All together horrible experience and not worth the money.

This is by far the best salon in Thornhill! I always get compliments on my nails and refer people to Tipsy Toesy. The staff are super sweet and Hari does such an amazing job.

Hari is amazing! I used to go to a different salon and they would charge me $80-100 for design + fill and they would always lift. Since going to Hari, I've had nothing but amazing nails <3 and the prices are super affordable.

This place is incredible! I have never had such a great experience with a nail salon. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and Hannah did such a great job with my nails! I loved every second being here, and I will be coming back for sure!

I made an appointment for two acrylic manicures and they only written down one so I had to get
Some type of gel dip which I’ve never gotten before I was told that it would be the exact same as acrylic nails but unfortunately it wasn’t and two weeks later two of my nails have broken off and I mean completely to the point where my finger nail underneath has completely ripped off and is in a lot of pain. Every employee was very nice and very kind and the manicure was well done I just think the quality of the nails wasnt very good at all as a manicure has never caused me so much physical pain

Used to go here religiously every 3 weeks with my mom and sister to see Hannah until she started doing the dipping powder incorrectly and using the cheap chemical they use to harden acrylic nails as an activator liquid for Nugenisis dipping powder when it should really be the activator liquid that’s made FOR DIPPING POWDER. I started noticing my nails were becoming weaker and weaker and that’s when I realized they sneak in that chemical because it’s cheaper to use then the proper dipping powder kit steps 2 and 3! Haven’t gone back since!

They file with the most rough file. They use the drill for everything so your nails are guaranteed to be ruined and they don’t even manicure your nail beds. They barely even slim them. Will never return here.

This is very awkward to described since they do a good job often. The staff there kept calling me "hun" and "honey" even when I asked them to stop, called staff by name, gave my name as well. They argued that they should call me "honey" and "hun" if they feel like it and if they don't know a customer but did use my name before going back to "hun" again. They appeared also to assume that I am elderly. I had to explain that I still work, and just had a day off, and that I am able to speak and think like anyone else. I asked them to treat me as an equal person and explained that I consider us equal. They were rude, cruel and condescending like they were talking to a baby or someone with dementia; and they made me feel ashamed. I must admit that I started talking back to them exactly the way they were talking to me! I believe they treated me differently than other customers because of my age (53). The staff said "I know you don't like being called hun, honey, Mommy.hun" then called me "hun" again. She verified her age as 33 and I explained that while I'm old enough to be her Mommy, I actually am not her Mommy and to stop calling me these things. I ended up leaving without finishing my pedicure, dried my feet off myself, paid and left. I believe the staff should be trained not to assume that its okay to treat an older woman badly or call her Babynames just because of her age.

I love how they stick to their appointments, have different options on nail styles, and very friendly.

The ladies here are all very friendly and professional. I always have a experience when I go. It’s clean and there is a plethora of colors to pick from no matter if you do dip or shellac or reg nail polish. They have it all.

I use to go there but stopped the staff has a terrible attitude and talk and laugh about you in their native language. I go to GOLDEN NAILS a little further down the street on Centre St.where the service is superior and much cleaner.

One star is even too much for this salon. I used to go to this place for three years, until my toe nail got fungus after a pedicure at their salon. When i brought it to their attention they were rude and they didn't care.

I specifically spoke to Helen about it who holds herself as the manager. She accused me of going to a different salon and getting the fungus place else. I honestly never get pedicures and the only time i got it done it was at their salon and i got fungus. She just wouldn't accept that. I could've sued them or gave them trouble because clearly the salon is not clean and they are not following the health safety procedures.

I just wanted them to acknowledge that i suffered and it would've been nice if they apologized at least. I wanted them to understand that they should properly sanitize their tools so that in future other people don't have to go through what i did.

I had to purchase all kinds of medication to make it go away. My toe nail got infection it had gross yellow water coming out from underneath. It was so painful, i could not have anything touch my toe or i would've screamed. My nail started to get separated from the meat, looking at it was horrifying. It was the worst thing i ever experienced happen to my nail.

Finally my nail ended up falling off and i didn't have a toe nail for 8 months. I was so depressed cause i couldn't wear shoes for the first few months and later i had to only wear shoes that were covered in front because my i had no toe nail and it was embarrassing and disgusting.

These people know nothing about customer service and god forbidden if something happens to you at their salon, they won't hold themselves accountable and they won't try to resolve the issue.

Thank you very much Tipsy Toesy Nails, your nail salon should be called Oopsy Doopsy Nails.

I liked this place. It's clean and has good working time even in weekend. The staff is nice and professional.

My favourite place to get my nails done. Everyone always asks me about me nails and I always send them here. Clean and cosy place with amazing staff. My daughter loves it too. It’s been a few years and the staff always treats you like family. Hari is the one to go to for the best nail art. Thank you!
