I had my Lasik procedure last week and it has been life changing. All of the staff were lovely and I am especially grateful to the nurse who rubbed my shoulder to help calm my nerves. I wish I had done it sooner!

I had LASIK done here earlier in the week and had a lovely experience. The staff are helpful and friendly, and answered all my questions whenever I had them. They were calming throughout the procedure itself, and the nurses were helped me understand the rationale behind certain post procedure activities (like why we don’t stare at screens) that are helping with my recovery. I highly recommend TLC if you’re interested in eye surgery!

Amazing experience with Lasik here. If I could score higher than 5 stars I would. Very professional and friendly (and witnessed many of them still being so while dealing with difficult clients!) and made the experience as calming and comfortable as it could possibly be.

The surgery itself is discomforting, but that’s just how it is… it’s surgery after all! It’s so quick there’s only a short amount of discomfort to put up with before it’s over. The surgeon informed me what he’d be doing each step of the way and what I might feel/see. One of the nurses/techs also had her hand on my shoulder during the surgery to help me relax, and spoke gently to me throughout—that was something I wanted to note, as that seemed above and beyond to me. I didn’t get her name, but I want to thank her for that?

All brochures and paperwork had all the information needed to know, including side effects and possible complications, so anyone saying they had no idea of complications or surgery procedure etc clearly didn’t pay attention to what they were given or do any research themselves (which, in my opinion, is what a responsible person should do). Never once did I feel wanting for information, they answered any and all questions before I even needed to ask them.

11/10 would recommend (and have!)

They understood how anxious I was and were very accommodating. Efficient and quick with the actual surgery, and was told what to expect afterwards.

I had an excellent experience at TLC for my laser eye surgery. I recommend taking Tylenol before the surgery, after the surgery and before you go to bed on the first night to help with the pain and to also do the drops every single hour the first day! I can finally see after wearing glasses and contacts for the last 7 years. All of the staff at TLC make the experience very relaxing and I felt very comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get rid of their glasses!

Small cramped waiting room, ruthlessly efficient, good staff but they're worked to the bone on metrics and KPIs. Compared to other similar clinics they've fallen behind a bit in amenities and comfort (Oakville location).

Had lasik done in both eyes and have only good things to say about the entire experience! The receptionists were amazing to speak to and so friendly. There were very minimal wait times. As for the procedure process itself, Megan was so friendly and helpful to get me ready. Dr McCuaig kept things light, was very informative of what he was doing and what was going on. Every one in the room during the procedure was lovely and very reassuring. By the next morning, I felt 0 symptoms and had 20/20 vision according to my optometrist. I would recommend TLC Eye Centres and Dr McCuaig to anyone considering getting Lasik done!

I had a wonderful experience getting LASIK performed on both of my eyes at TLC Waterloo. All of the doctors, nurses and professionals were wonderful and made me very comfortable getting the procedure done. As for the procedure itself, it was pain and stress free, I just took it easy and slept/relaxed the day of and the day after I had less than normal swelling and 20/20 vision. Overall the experience was completely seamless and worth it. For those who are considering getting treatment, these are the things you can expect. You start with a free consultation which involves a few scans (very non-invasive and quick) to see if you are a suitable candidate and which procedure (LASIK or PRK) best fits your needs. For the day of the procedure, I found that if you hype it up in your mind, it will seem scarier than it really is. The entire procedure only took about 15 mins. During the process, there was little to no pain. Only mild discomfort. Post op, there was some stinging and more discomfort which I can only describe as cutting up a bunch of raw onions. Once you put in your prescribed eye drops, the discomfort subsides fairly quickly. Personally I found the entire experience efficient and the team at TLC Waterloo were amazing throughout with their communication being open and reassuring about what to expect. I couldn't be more satisfied!

Super comfortable atmosphere and incredible staff. Optometrists/Doctors extremely diligent throughout the process. The operation went smooth, needless to say, it was a weird experience but no pain whatsoever (just a little pressure on the eye). Could see instantly following the eye surgery. Really enjoyed the music the Doctor had playing in the background quietly. 100% would do it again. Nice to not need corrective lenses. Thank you TLC.

My daughter has severe dry eyes after lasik and no body mention this complication before procedure not even during examination when she asked them about dry eyes they said no you are good candidate.good candidate for what ami

My wife had done her eyes here at TLC a few years ago, and being present for the procedure, I was confident in going ahead and undergoing the same procedure. I have to say, the staff here is quite remarkable. Every member of their team truly made me feel comfortable and confident about the decision to have laser eye surgery. TLC Laser Eye Centre Waterloo had a profound impact on my life. My Dec '21 procedure was professional and painless. My initial online consultation fully explained the entire process, and answered any other questions I had (shout-out Audrine). All of the documentation they provided beforehand was very thorough and helpful. For the procedure itself, I'm still amazed at how fast and unobtrusive it was, and how quickly I began recovering. An evening of badly-watering eyes and some serious light sensitivity was well worth it when I woke up the next morning and literally saw the world in a different way. I can watch TV without looking for glasses, drive at night without headlight auras, and never fall asleep without taking out my contacts. I'm really, really glad I decided to finally get Lasik. I recently have done my lasik surgery from TLC. My experience was good. It was very quick and I had no issues after the surgery. I would always recommend TLC for lasik.

Finally deciding to write a review after a year plus. Got Lasik at this location in the summer of 2020. The staff were incredible throughout the entire process and helped ease any anxiety I had before and during the surgery. I currently have perfect vision 1 year after the surgery and my optometrist also said my eyes are perfectly healthy. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Tired of waiting, my optometrist recommended TLC Waterloo. Couldn’t be happier, From the initial assessment to the surgery and final follow- up appointment took less than 4 weeks. The surgery was quick and painless. We went to TLC for my mother's Cataract surgery. Dr Mccuaig and Dr Stephanie provided the best possible care. They explained all the options and answered all my questions and helped us to be comfortable. All the staff members were caring, helpful and professional.

My experience was EXCEPTIONAL! All staff members took pride in their job and were very knowledgable and friendly. Due to dry eyes, I had to have 3 consultations, but at each consultation, the staff was reassuring, positive, and honest. There was no shortage of help, drops, or advice. Dr. Britton was real, friendly, and so supportive (even at 8am on a Saturday morning!). During surgery you could tell that the staff was confident and caring. Thank you so much for taking a minus 9 to better than 20/20! 29 years of glasses and 23 year of contacts over in minutes! I recommend TLC Waterloo to anyone considering laser eye surgery.

I am very happy with TLC. I went in on a Thursday and could see right off the table, I went home and stayed in bed pretty much all day with my eyes closed. Friday was honestly perfectly fine, I didn't have any side effects of feeling gritty eyes or anything like other people had mentioned. Maybe it was my conditioning of wearing contacts for so many years and how uncomfortable they feel but no complaints.

My vision was very bad, and I went for consultations in 2010,2013 and 2016 and their lasers weren't strong enough to correct my vision, they have a new laser as of 2018 and were able to correct me. I wish I had followed up sooner! -6 near sighted with -5.75 astigmatism and I have 20/15 in my left and 20/25 in my right. I have a 20% chance of regression but they said they have enough tissue left to do an enhancement to fix it all.

The money was already worth it, waking up and seeing was my dream and it has come true.

I waited a full year to leave to share my full experience. I had PRK done at this location in July 2020 and it was one of the best decisions that I ever made.

The procedure was extremely quick and painless and I noticed a massive improvement in my vision right away. For several days after the surgery I was in a lot of pain, sand under the eyelids kind of pain. I basically just slept or stayed in bed for a few days. After a few days the pain began to subside and I noticed over the next 8 months or so a very gradual improvement in my vision on top of the initial major improvement.

I just had my one year check up and am sitting at 20/15 vision. Im very happy with the procedure. If you need PRK, prepare for some initial discomfort and an ongoing improvement to your vision. I read a lot of worrying info in the early days after the procedure but if my experience is any help, it will continue to improve over the next 6-8 months. Still using eye drops in the mornings and nights but I see this as a small price to pay for hopefully a lifetime without glasses.

Very quick and professional staff. Just got my eyes done last week. Very clean and impressive place. They have promotional financing deals and discounts throughout the year. Would highly recommend and they have partnerships with a number of trusted optometrist offices for check ups later.

I just had lasik surgery on both my eyes yesterday. I chose the Waterloo location due to its great reviews from friends and online. My eye doctor also recommended this facility. The whole process from the first consult to the surgery day was so easy. The coordinator answered all my questions promptly before the surgery day. I got I meet with Dr Jellie before the surgery and ask any final questions. The staff and Dr Jellie were so awesome at talking me through the whole process which helped keep me calm. We had to drive about 1.5hrs to get home after the sugery. My eyes were quite sore and uncomfortable.a lot more than I expected I would recommend to anyone driving a longer distance to bring some Advil or Tylenol to take before driving home. My eyes are much better today and I can see so clearly! Thank you Dr Jellie and TLC staff!

Safety protocols for COVID-19 were in place and I felt very safe. Staff was friendly, efficient and made me feel like I was their most important client.

It's only been a day since my custom LASIK surgery but I can confidently say I am very happy with my results and how professional and efficient the staff have been. They take good care of you through the whole process and ensure you are happy and comfortable at all times.
