I ordered sands and gravels online from looking their photographs. Justin promptly emailed and patiently answered my many questions. The driver was very courteous. I received all my materials with good quality, similar to the photographs

5 STARS just isn't enough to rate my first encounter with these folks. From the initial contact with Justin, who was immediate with a response to all my questions and concerns to the ease of the entire process of ordering 2x Overseeding Bundle for my residence.
The delivery instructions were easy to follow (must be read though.lol)!
The driver (sorry didn't get his name) was professional and very accomondating to the location of the drop off. He was extremely friendly and helpful!
In addition, they sent me helpful instructions on how to apply the products ordered. Definitely a company who care about their customers.
The promotion offered is fantastic and whatever was promised was delivered! My compliments to all! WILL DEFINATELY USE AGAIN! Much appreciated!

Delivery and ordering was easy and smooth but the premium veg soil was full of weeds (crabgrass, purslane, lambs quarters and some others). We were weeding all throughout the growing season last year. Soil was heavier than black earth, top soil or triple mix from other sources due to a higher clay (soil was more gray than dark black) content and so was more compact and not as fast drainage. Root vegetables did not grow. Had to amend with more compost and cococoir.

You cannot trust these guys. They will say one thing today and something different next day. I was told that they will take back the unused concrete rectangles with restocking fee but at the last moment I was told that we don't take back these products. They will promise everything at the time of sales but afterwards it will be a completely opposite response. No more business with Toemar. Go with SW Stoneworks in Bolton. They have better prices and clear business practices.

It was a pleasant experience until I purchased the samples. The associate stacked them in the trunk of my car without any separators / protectors. After I tried them at home, I stacked them back the same way and returned them to the store. Only, they decided that stones were scratched and would not take back half of the samples. I explained what happened, and they still charged me for the samples and showed zero empathy.

The cost of the samples was negligible - $20 or so. They could have absorbed the $20 to gain around $3,000 that I would have paid them for the stone I selected, but, they opted to lose my business and any future recommendations for the meagre $20.

That’s what a poorly managed customer experience costs.

The worst customer service agent I have ever spoken with, rude, turse and generally has a lack of awareness on how to deal with customers.

This place is awesome and the people there are just great. Got sod and river rocks today, easy in and out, they helped me from ordering to loading my SUV. Five stars!

The Toemar rep who delivered our Best Way pavers on July 20 in Brampton was very courteous, asked where we wanted everything placed, took great care to ensure everything was delivered in an organized way that caused no damage while keeping everything to the most contained area possible. Would recommend as this is the opposite of all our other comparable experiences recently!

The place is amazing, the supporting team has lot patience to answer, but the manager is rude (I requested for discount and the manager responded with no first time and I asked second time, but he responded rudely saying the supporting people are helping from 2 hours that's your discount. If he don't want to give discount he should say no, no need to point out the time spent on selection.).

Friendly and knowledgable staff. Love helping out a family run business compared to the big box stores that have less knowledge and less selection. Toemar is the way to go its a gem and Mississauga legend since the 1970s!

I have removed my earlier comments where I faced issue reference to exchanging the patio stones. I know, they had a difficult time during those days, so considering that I have removed the feedback and provided this new feedback considering my earlier experiences with Toemer where I have always found them very professional.

On time delivery, great customer service, the river rocks I received are really beautiful. Highly recommended business.

Not very friendly. I bought some stones. Loaded it myself. They were reluctant to take back some unused stones. Charged me 25% restocking fee, even though I unloaded the stones myself.

We just had 2 bags of soil dropped off. I had specific location for the bags away from the driveway. The driver was polite, accurate and professional. Moving forward, we will only use Toemar for our gardening needs. Thank you for having such a great team!

We dealt with Dave at Toemar to purchase all of the materials for our new interlocking driveway this September. Dave was phenomenal in providing top notch advice, excellent customer service and was extremely patient and willing to provide all that was required within a very short window. Delivery was timely and efficient. We recommend Dave to all of our family friends. Keep up the great work!

Strongly not recommend. Will sell you too much interlock and won’t refund. It’s a legal scam they are doing

They have good prices and products. They are getting more and more busy because of these two good things. Their customer service is also professional. However it is not as friendly as it used to be. When you ask them a question, they do explain what to do, but in a great hurry, and if you want more guidance they get impatient with you to the point of you feeling embarrassed and buying whatever they suggest with out really understanding the project fully. So bottom line.still a good garden store to go to.but I'd rather do all my research before hand before going in. Dont expect friendly hand holding if you are a newbie (which used to be the case before). I loved that time, o can understand why they have to rush you now.its more business they have to handle and sorry no time for guiding you.

I would give it zero stars if available. I purchased a bag of soil, used most of it. My yard is now destroyed by weeds. The leftover bag is full of weeds. I asked them to pick up the bag. They are charging me $150 to pick it up (15 minutes away). The soil cost $140 to get, so a pick up of $150 is highway robbery.

Make sure to pay everything in cash! I made the order and they said yaya we have in stock, and I paid with credit card and they cannot deliver and asked me if I am okay with different colour. I rejected and I wanted to make refund because it's not even delivered yet. But they charged me 5% off for refund without telling me ahead! Like really!? !?

I ordered bag of soil, and then a week later a bag of mulch, there were more than happy to deliver both on the same trip and the friendly delivery driver put it exactly where I wanted to. Look forward to using you guys again in the future!

Spent well over a thousand dollars and bought a few too many wall blocks, went to try and return it or exchange for something else and was told no refunds. I whish i was told that when i bought the product. I don't think i will be back to Toemar for anything in the future.

Purchased my first home and landscaping was new to me, thank you for the amazing service and recommendations. Product quality was great and tons of selection, I will be sure to come back each season.

I purchased a Christmas tree and I started buying garden supplies from Toemar, they are amazing! Moses is so knowledgeable, he provided great advice-really knows his stuff. David, Justin and the rest of them are great.

Great customer service and pricing and a variety of products for gardening needs in the summer and quality ice melting salt for those tough winter cleaning days.

I've been buying firewood and topsoil from Toemar for the past 28 years now - back when they were in the middle of nowhere.
This family based company is top notch in both customer service and product quality. They have been expanding more into the decorative stone and brick business over the past few years and now have a great selection of products available.
Without a doubt the best burning hardwood available in the GTA.
If you're not dealing with them already, you should be!

Been buying my firewood there for over a decade. Great service, great prices, and always a helping hand by the able gentlemen in the yard.

Some of these negative reviews below are little questionable. I don’t work here. I m a happy customer with some common sense. Regarding some soil to fill a pool. You can easily find a calculator online instead of guess work. Also when you have loose dirt it will pack down. The reviewer did not provide correct measurements.

Regarding the restocking fee. I actually think it should be 15-20%, Not 25%. It’s bad taste. I know 25% is suppose deter customers from returning items. Definitely there should be restocking fee. All that work to repack and hand bombing bricks or mortar. It’s costly for a company.

As per my experience, the project turned out good. Only have to put the grout down now. I will post some photos on the weekend hopefully. Jessica helped out through out the whole process. Although she sent the stones to the wrong address because I m in a different city. Lol. There was a boo boo on the invoice. This isn’t a big deal as the skids arrived 1hr later. The driver was very professional and set the skids exactly where I wanted them to be. I got a really good deal with the stones. I actually shopped around for weeks until I found this contractor friendly supplier. I was saving few dollars at Zara Stones in Woodbridge but given their bad practices and unprofessional staff. That extra 150$ I spent at Toemar is very well spent. I rather pay more to get the customer service, professionalism, well trained staff and after service that we all deserve. I m a critic when I review a business as you can see from my other reviews. I m 100% satisfied. Thank you so much.

They wont tell you but they charge restocking fee of 25% when you return items. At the time of buying the products the lady at the counter mentioned that non-concrete items can be returned but didn't mention anything about the restocking fees. When I went to return the products, the person at the counter pointed me towards a board about return policies which was way high up and normally if you don't raise your head up you wont notice it. Also I found that the prices here are higher compared to places like Sid's Pond near Britannia and Ninth Line. Hope this feedback will be useful to somebody.

1) There is no mention of restocking fee on the receipt. If you want I can share a photo of the receipt.
2) When I asked for price match, the person on the counter right away denied it.

I can't say enough about the staff at Toemar and their willingness to help. They have been nothing but courteous and professional. If they make a mistake they own up to it. This is a far cry from the big box stores where the staff knowledge is minimal at best especially when it comes to landscaping products. Keep up the good work!

Quick delivery of mulch within a few hours of my call-in order. Delivery driver was skilled and courteous.

I'm very happy with this company. I ordered 4 yards of pea gravel and it was delivered promptly, the price was the best of all quotes, and the gravel was high quality. I highly recommend.

Fantastic place, fastest loading services in mississauga! When I had ordered 3 cubic yards of veggie soil to my home, they had it delivered to me within the next day! Really impressed with the quality and service.

108 for a yard and a half cubed of top soil. Sounds good right? But when I call and tell them I have a pool to fill in that's ten feet long and four feet deep they tell me that would be enough to fill it half way, so I'm thinking that's great. I don't do a lot of yard work and certainly don't fill in a lot of pools so I'm thinking I'm good. Turns out this is barely enough to cover the bottom a few inches. Yea, the prices I'm sure are good and they certainly delivery on time, but when they sell you a product that is not what was promised. Thumbs down.

I went to Toemar last week to get a consultation for my DIY project and Justin was very helpful in suggesting ideas and guiding me step by step on how to fix my interlock patio. Their prices are good and their delivery is on time. I highly recommend Toemar when it comes to gardening and landscaping supplies.
