You know what this is.the best soft surve icecream in the city.like littlelry the best. Worth the trip to it. Taking of a star because they are cash only. And another of atmosphere because there is no inside seating
Drove all the way from Oakville to Tom’s Dairy Freeze only for the girl up front to say that they only accept cash. We went to their ATM and they had a huge error sign on it saying the machine is down and not working. I went back and politely explained to the girl that we drove over 30 minutes to come down here and she was not able to help us at all! Told us to go to look for another ATM machine. We got frustrated and so disappointed and left. It’s 2023 what kind of place only accepts cash? It was so inconvenient and the fact that we drove all this way just for you to not help or accommodate was extremely disappointing. You have definitely lost some customers
Ice cream parlor with ice creams in a variety of flavors, hail in a variety of flavors. American ice cream with a large variety of toppings. Definitely a reasonable price. Parking adjacent to the place.
Very disappointing. I took my partner here for his very first banana split and there was nothing interesting about it. Very scant toppings, little flavour. Maybe we chose the wrong menu item but I wasn’t impressed.
Bon rapport qualité prix. Nous avons pris le produit signature le banana split, mais aussi des slushs et des cônes. Tout était conforme à nos attentes. Une belle atmosphère.
A neighbourhood classic! Definitely recommend stopping by. Just be prepared to wait a bit - lines can be long. Also parking is difficult here, consider parking on a side street or at a Green P across the street.
Really wish they would just get a debit machine. I would come here a lot more if I didn't have to pay to withdraw money or plan this trip days in advance.
Awesome ice cream, amazing staff! I love coming here, I usually switch between hard scoops and soft serves and the take home ice cream tubs are the best!
Cash only but there's an atm onsite. Solid soft serve. Extra parking on the side street. And there's a haunted house across the street (coming Oct 2021).
Cash only and no hot food, which is not communicated anywhere online. Total waste of time and gas. For somewhere with so much hype I thought there may be a slim possibility they give a darn about their customers but apparently not.
OMG! This place is the best. I just bought two scoops of the Pistachios/Almond ice cream. I didn’t want it to finish. It’s the best ice cream I’ve ever eaten. The sales person was so pleasant too. I’ll be back.
Fantastic Ice-cream.the good stuff not the chain or store bought sugary milk. Very popular with locals so there is always a bit of a queue all season however it moves real fast so you the wait is pretty short. This single family owned dairy outlet offers homemade ice cream in every flavour you can imagine. Milkshakes are also offered. Tom's is worth every bit of the hype and I recommend to any quality ice-cream lover! Easy to spot but not enough parking. Also note, they only accept Cash
Hidden gem. Expect a line at any time, even late at night! But usually service runs through it quickly and the ice cream sundaes with the syrup toppings are great! Highly recommend a peanut butter and hot caramel sundae.
Tom's Dairy Freeze usually has very long lineups, so when we saw only a couple of people waiting one day, we decided to try them out.
I got their infamous Flavour Burst Cone, and my brother got a classic French Vanilla scoop in a Waffle Cone. Both were good, and reminded me of the icecream you get from an icecream truck (ah, memories.). They definitely are a little on the less-sweeter side, but make for VERY insta-worthy pictures!
Make sure you have cash, otherwise there is an ATM located on the property. Also, try out their "Birthday Cake Dip" from their secret menu— you won't be disappointed!
The soft serve ice cream was decent but it certainly didn't live up to the hype of the reviews. This place wouldn't be in my top 10 ice cream spots in the city.
Stands up to it's reputation and beyond. A cash-only nostalgic ice cream place. The portion size is amazing for the prices and taste as we know it is incredible.
Always, always a great place for soft serve ice cream. Cool iconic building with that awesome 50's vibe. THEY USE REAL CREAM in their ice cream. Provides great mouth feel. Other places have too much air in their mix while Tom's is old school, just like what I remember as a kid. You got to make this a stop if you like authentic.
First time trying and it certainly stands out. Nostalgic ice cream parlor (soft serve). Menu reminds me of ice cream trucks and more. It is definitely ice cream, not ice milk as they have a stated on their menu. To describe, it’s like an in between Dairy Queen ice milk and and ice cream truck soft serve. Creamier than ice milk but feels less like an oil product of an ice cream truck. Very dense, COLD and satisfying. I had the strawberry shortcake sundae. I missed that from DQ. At first did not see the cake but was buried at the bottom. I was more consumed enjoying the ice cream which the pile high. I opted for the regular size and they have a large. The regular size is more than enough. Took me long enough to finally go to Tom’s Dairy but well worth the drive. Parking is limited and make sure you wear a mask as it is mandatory when ordering by the window. BTW, the picture enclosed is a blueberry sundae with bananas. Where do you get a combo like that? ! The Strawberry Shortcake looks very similar but with strawberries.
They serve a decent soft serve, but I wasn't quite able to understand why the 15 min long lines, to be honest. Perhaps it's the price point? Is it the nostalgia? Determined to find out what I'm missing, so may come back.
