Toothworks Pine Ridge Dental Centre

Had a great visit with Pam. She is very thorough and it’s easy to relax while she does her thing. I do hope she is my hygienist on my next visit.

Up until recently, I have been a completely satisfied patient for many years. However, my daughter (a patient since she was born) had her $6800 braces removed a couple of years ago (not at Pineridge). We would have expected a problem with her permanent retainer to be noted from her regular dental cleanings and checks. It was only about 6 weeks ago that a hygienist asked her if her bar was bothering her and she was told to monitor (also nothing communicated to me as her mother whose appointments are booked at the same time.) My daughter couldn't feel a problem and didn't know why she was told that. Long story short after realizing that her teeth had shifted we went back to ortho to have her teeth looked at and indeed they had shifted as the bar was broken.she requires repeat treatment on her top teeth (another $3000) to fix the movement due to the broken bar that was lying flat and not sticking out. In the very least I would have expected any dental professional whose job involves promoting oral health and hygiene to be able to recognize that type of a problem right away and clearly communicate that there IS a problem and recommend a trip to ortho asap to ensure teeth don't move. While I can't believe that we are having to retreat her teeth AGAIN, my real disappointment was that I did not receive one phone call back from Pineridge after sharing my concern with reception who assured me she would pass the concern along. Not any response from them whatsoever! I ended up cancelling an upcoming dental cleaning while reiterating my disappointment again with the situation, and still no follow up to discuss, etc.after over 18 years of trust. Disappointing to say the least. I never thought I would be writing a review like this but patient be aware that if there is a problem, it doesn't seem to get recognized or addressed. Easier to lose two patients then address a problem and take any form of accountability.

Dr. Babak Soleymani and hygienist Andrea are SUPERB! I have been a patient for 10 plus years and I have no fears or anxiety knowing I am going into see them. They are both knowledgeable, funny and gentle.

An almost sterile environment. Caring hygienists, who do a fantastic job on cleaning my teeth. They are squeaky clean!

First visit at this clinic which I decided to try because it was within a short walk. Great service, Dorothy was a great hygienist and service was cheerful and professional. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is the panorama x-ray did not work properly the first few times due to some kind of technical issue. It did work eventually. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Will be back again.

My hygienist Brenda (I think) was great, she was covering someone’s shift so she’s not there often I guess! Had a good time while she cleaned my teeth. Would recommend Pine Ridge Dental as a whole though, been coming here around 10 years I think

This has been my & my family’s sole dentist’s office for years and we’ve never had anything but a positive experience! The staff are always so friendly, personable, and knowledgeable, and I always feel well taken care of when I go. I even moved further away and would rather the longer commute to here than switch to a closer dental practice! The facility itself is also beautiful and modern. This place makes you not dread the dentist haha.

I have been going to Pine Ridge Dental for nearly 10 years and never once had less than premium service from the staff, they make you feel at home. The receptionists are kind and I am always greeted by name, very comfortable environment to walk into. The facility is clean and new, the hygienists are always careful and attentive, literally 0 complaints to be made. Could not recommend this place more.

I had a very pleasant experience and while the dentist was very kind and professional, I must say that Ruby the dental hygienist is an amazing worker with a great sense of humour.

I’ve been coming here for over ten years, and have consistently had wonderful service. The staff are very personable and easy to talk to, and the building is gorgeous inside and a calming place to spend time. Reasonable prices for the work done - would recommend it to anyone.

Dr Ponte and Dr Adam are both amazing, caring and so professional. I can’t say enough good about the care and treatment I received.

Very clean and great smelling office. Lovely calming waiting room. Great selection of music. All the staff are lovely and pleasant. I've had one dentist, I cannot recall his name and the orthodontist, Dr. Ponte. I was very satisfied with both doctors.

Everyone was so wonderful making my children's first visit at Toothworks Pine Ridge Dental a great experience! Dentist was very good as well especially explaining and dealing with my youngest child with autism. Will be patients for life:)

Had a very good visit. I am a very nervous person at the dentist, normally but Ruby my dental hygienist was an absolute delight, she was kind, understanding and kept checking with me to make sure I was ok. My dentist Dr. Soleymani is also very understanding and didn’t do anything without explaining first.

Horrible custom service and rude receptionists.
When Dr. Black owned Pineridge it was amazing! Staff were polite and the experience was great. Dr. Black prided himself on making an experience that was positive for clients. Now that ownership has changed so has the atmosphere and attitude.

On my last appointment I specifically checked prior to my appointment the price and then confirmed again once I checked in. Fast forward to having to pay… the receptionist tells me a total almost $100 over what I had been previously told. When I question it, she gets very rude and says I should of known better, I do not work in the dental industry how would I know? She proceeded to be rude, I actually had to ask to speak to someone else to resolve the issue.

Today I was suppose to have a dentist appointment. I called on Friday to try and reschedule the appointment. I left a voicemail stating that I was wanting to reschedule and my number to call me back at. I never heard anything from them. I called earlier today, the phone went straight to voicemail. I reworked my day to go to the appointment as I know you can be charged for a no show. I arrive and call in to say I am here. They can not find my appointment. They have a note saying I cancelled. I proceed to ask why they never called me back and that I wanted to reschedule not cancel. The receptionist again becomes rude and tells me that, that is what I requested and that I had cancelled. She then proceeds to tell me that they gave my appointment slot away but could “fit me in” in 30 minutes. I couldn’t wait 30 minutes as I took my work lunch to make the appointment. When I express my frustration the receptionist again with a tone tells me it was what I said on my voicemail and that they are having problems with their phone systems.

Safe to say after 15 years I will now be looking for a new dentist.

The entire ToothWorks Pine Ridge Dental family are fantastic. The front office staff are easily reached by phone and also utilize a CRM texting service to notify you of updates on your mobile phone. The front office team are so wonderful in working through last minute appointments or helping squeeze in emergencies, they also are well versed in the requirements and typical coverage of the insurance companies.

The hygienists and assistants are amazing, they are very skilled in each task they do and seem almost connected to front office and the dentist (s), there is obviously good communication and trust in the practice.

Dr. Soleymani is the best dentist I have ever met and due to my extensive work travel over the last 20 years, I've had to visit dentists in multiple countries depending on where I was living. Dr. Soleymani is very skilled, well organized and articulate in explaining a diagnosis and course of action, and is understanding in what can and can't be done. He obviously has a wealth of experience and applies it.

The office itself is a nice environment, super clean, well laid out with a circular front desk so multiple people can interact at the same time. Plenty of parking and modern equipment in the exam rooms. Covid precautions are right in line with current guidelines while also thinking outside the box to still stay efficient with text to patient status updates when your exam room is cleaned and ready while you stay in your car.

Toothworks Pine Ridge is a great dental practice and I absolutely appreciate all the help they have given me over the last 2 years.

Thank you Ms. Pam for all being so kind and always making me feel comfortable every time I come for my cleaning. I had a pain jaw but she took her time by massaging my jaw a bit and it feels great. What a great experience. She’s the best, it’s not often that you go to the dentist or hygienist and do like this to massage your jaw a bit to lessen the discomfort but Pam is one of a kind. My family and I will surely come back again. Thanks Pam!

This is a wonderful dental office. The staff is very friendly. My hygienist Pam is amazing. I haven’t been for a cleaning in a very long time and it was painless. Dr. Ponte is a terrific dentist. Very professional and thorough.

Everything was great, from the receptionist, nurse, dentist, equipment and services. Its becoming my family’s dentist definitely.

I have a new set of special needs as a dental patient as I’m now in a wheelchair and my usual dentist has offices too small to accommodate it but Pine ridge was great and the staff worked hard to figure out good ways to deal with the unusual needs, particularly having to do a cleaning and X rays with me in the chair because I can’t stay for long in the usual couch that most exam rooms are built around. That’s due to muscle spasms in my left leg. A special note: one staff member, Cindy, went way beyond the call of duty: when I went to the office on Friday 1/29 I left an iPad in the waiting room and she dropped it off at my residence on Saturday, safe and sound. Thanks again Cindy!

Dorothy my Dental Hygienist was very gentle with the cleaning and polishing of my teeth. She ensured that I was very comfortable and was very professional. Thank you Cindy fir making my appointment so pleasant and also to Dr Solymani for his gentle manner.

I have always had a positive experience at Toothworks Pine Ridge Dental. All my kids go there and always come out happy (the treasure chest toy box is always a fun ending to their visit). The staff have always been super friendly and welcoming on the phone when they call and in person.

I have been going to Pine Ridge Dental for over 15 years. I have had many procedures done at Pine Ridge Dental over the years from fillings, to a retainer, to routine cleaning, all completed without any issues or discomfort. The office has a beautiful atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. My favourite dental hygienist is Pam and I always request to have her do my routine cleaning. She takes her time, is very gentle, and is extremely friendly. I would recommend anyone to Pine Ridge Dental.

Bioclear - what a fantastic innovation! I'm usually sceptical to new products/innovations until they have been around for a long time. I'm totally impressed with Dr Ponte and his assistant Jane.although it was a long time in the chair (4 hours), they made me comfortable and relaxed. I now have a smile with awesome looking teeth. What a confidence boost for me - not that I needed that but it sure feels good! ;)

Pam the dental hygenist is friendly, polite, informative and fantastic as is Dr. Sulemani. A painless experience. I always ask for this combination as they are the best.

Due to COVID, I’ve been afraid to go to the dentist since January 2020. Well, I could not have been more relieved or set at ease yesterday. Thorough safety protocols, protective equipment, coverings, sterilization, spacing, barriers, and more, show the professional and calm manner in which every staff member has adopted a new workplace culture of life with COVID. It was high functioning, but low stress.

My hygienist was determinedly meticulous, yet kept my discomfort to a minimum, pain non-existent, and still finished on time. My dentist was thorough with a quick check-up, and then willing to discuss my dental concerns, and shared a remarkable amount of knowledge about related health issues and making a plan with me for the best path for future care. He even encouraged me to forward results from some other health tests I’ll be having done, for him to review and decide how it may change my long term dental plan. Wow!

Setting COVID issues aside, the experience was professional and even pleasant, as always. I would, and have, recommended this practice to friends and family.

Dr. Ponte and his staff were incredible!

Here is my backstory before Dr. Ponte:
I had a very bad experience with another company called Smile Direct Club This company has a huge media campaign claiming to straighten teeth with the clear aligners in just a few short months. No braces and no waiting for a year or 2 to see the final results. It seemed idea for me so I did it. Unfortunately their aligners caused several gaps and black triangles that were not there before I started the treatment. Smile Direct Club tried to fix the gaps with an additional 3 months of aligners but it was not successful. My teeth ended up looking worst than before I started the whole process.

I knew I could not leave my teeth in the state they were in so I started searching the internet for a non invasive way to fix the gaps and black triangles. That is when I read about BioClear and how well it works for people who have unsightly gaps and black triangles. The BioClear system can be used to fill unwanted spaces leaving absolutely no damage to your teeth. I live between Ottawa and Toronto. There is no one around my area that deals with BioClear so I went on BioClear's website and looked up a list of Dentists that offered the service. That is where I found Dr. Ponte.

This is why I think Dr. Ponte is incredible:
Dr. Ponte's office is located over 2 hours away from where I live but I could not have made a better decision to go with him - regardless of the distance I truly believe I would not have found another Dentist that would be at the same professional level as Dr. Ponte and his team. They were so knowledgeable and accommodating to me. Dr. Ponte and his staff made me feel like a priority and seemed to really care about the situation I was in. Dr. Ponte was very thorough explaining what BioClear was all about and how it could help me. His team had my procedure set up in no time. I didn't have to wait months to repair my smile. Dr. Ponte was so gentle throughout the entire procedure and always made sure my comfort was priority #1. The outcome was phenomenal. He is a master at what he does. I feel like I can smile again and I only have Dr. Ponte and his professional staff to thank for that. I also want to point out that through COVID, I have been extremely reluctant to go anywhere. I felt very safe at Dr. Ponte's office. The safety measures they have in place are first class. I only wish their office was not so far away. If they were closer to the city I live in, I would switch dentists permanently in a heartbeat. Thank you for the great experience!

My first time at a dentist in 5 years and it was an amazing experience. My attendant, Laurie, was extremely friendly and patient in explaining details to me. Also, she did a very professional job. The office is also designed very artistically and the staff members are very helpful. Would definitely recommend to try this place out.

I've gone to Pine Ridge Dental with Dr. Black for 30 years now. I've always enjoyed going - the staff is always friendly, courteous, and professional. I've never had a bad visit! Pam, my hygienist, is great! We always have a good laugh about things and I come out of there, with the cleanest teeth.

The staff all do their best to ensure you're comfortable from start to finish. Doctors provide you with all the info you need and treatment is always efficient.

I’ve been visiting Pine Ridge for around 7 years, and I always have a great experience. Pam is an excellent hygienist and perhaps the best I’ve ever had to date. She is very thorough, knowledgeable, communicative and most of all very gentle when it comes to my teeth. I would highly recommend Pine Ridge, and especially Pam as a dental hygienist!

My husband was a patient here. They bill for services that they do not perform (charged for periodontal work when all he had was a regular cleaning). Also, they did a filling that broke several times and asked him to wait for the original dentist to have an appointment to fix it, as if he should tolerate the pain when there are other people there that can help. We ended up reporting them to our insurance company and they were forced to reverse the billing for the overcharges.

Very professional, very understanding team of doctors and hygienists. Also, a very welcoming place as you wait for your appointment. Been going there for 20 years and Dr Black always sees me in the end. Highly recommended.pS I have no cavities still haha.
