Best dentists! Such a warm and inviting environment. They are really supportive for students and will carefully spend time discussing insurance. They are also extremely fast. I've never waited over 10 minutes and visits are always efficient. Overall, can't overemphasize how great the experience is here, and certainly recommend to friends and family!

I recently visited Toothworks for a check-up and cleaning. It had been quite some time since my last dental visit and I was apprehensive as my last encounter at the dentist (at a different practice) was not great. Krista my hygienist was kind, compassionate and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. She listened attentively, asked wonderful questions and provided helpful recommendations to improve my health. Not to mention my teeth feel amazing today! Thanks so much for your care and attention.

UPDATE: I recently had to visit Toothworks at The Boardwalk to have a cavity filled and an old filling repaired.

For context, I have severe anxiety around needles and typically faint when I get them. Because of this I always inform any new dentists I’m engaging with so that they aren’t surprised if/when this happens. Over the course of my life (I’m 42) and in response to this information I have had various dentists tell me to “toughen up that needles are nothing”, I had one dentist refuse to apply the numbing gel in advance of the needle because I was “being a suck” and one dentist force me to watch with a mirror as they worked on my teeth. As a result of all of this I am always very nervous before a dental appointment that I know will require a needle.

Well those days are over all because of Dr. Noah! WOW! What an AMAZING dentist! I have never felt so supported and cared for in a dental appointment. She offered me different options that included not having a needle (which has NEVER been offered to me before). She listened to all of my concerns and provided thoughtful advice and explanation so I could make the best decision for myself! She was efficient and precise while working on my teeth and made sure everything in my mouth felt great before she finished. I was so overwhelmed with gratitude at the end of the appointment I was brought to tears.

Dr. Noha you are truly a gift! I am so thankful that our paths crossed and I’m grateful to be in your care!

Had a lovely first visit here. The hygienist was pleasant and thorough. The dentist explained things well to me and was very personable.

Tooth works: DONT EVER GO THERE.

My son went there for a checkup and cleaning. Only his second time there. Secretaries are ridiculous. The receptions lies, send incorrect invoices to insurance company. When you dispute the onformation, they hang up on you. They lie to insurance company. They claim manager will call you an never do.

Don't Trust Them - two of my family members went to this dentist and they told them both that they had multiple cavities (7+) that needed filled. When they went to anothr dentist for a second opinion (as well as a third opinion) the other dentists said they didn't have ANY cavities. It was clearly a way to just make money. Unfortunately they're willing to drill people's teeth unnecessary to make an extra buck. If you go, suggest you get an extra opinion.

This place has the worse customer service. The front desk staff are rude, being the first patient of the day be prepared to wait at leat 30 minutes after your appointment to see the dentist as he is late to work daily. Also be prepared to receive a bill a year later and NEVER ever be notified that you owe any money. New dentist all the time and office staff they can't seem to keep employees. Stay far away from his place.

These people are amazing they took the anxiety I told then I have and helped me to feel very much at ease and comfortable, they showed me what was wrong, and gave me great care and honest understanding. So Amazing for my first visit, im now not so scared as I was to go back and get all the work I need, done!

Dr Mark is Fantastic! ~ I put off getting a crown done on my front tooth for years. I was so worried it would ruin my smile. Finally I got the courage to get it done. Am I ever glad I did, the temporary looks great! I can’t wait to see the permanent tooth! Thanks Dr Mark & Toothworks The Boardwalk! My smile looks as good as ever!

I was pleased with the treatment that I received today but upset to find that after 5 years of dental visits at this office that were always covered by our insurance- my husband’s last cleaning was inexplicably longer than any previous one and cost us an extra $55 out of pocket. I questioned this with two different women at the front desk and am still unhappy. I will speak directly to a dentist tomorrow to see if I can get more satisfaction on this issue.

Everyone was very patient and accommodating with me with my wheelchair needs. People I can trust.

I regret so much going to this office. They sent me the bill after more than one year from the date of service saying that the insurance company didn’t cover it. We had a different insurance provider by that time. We called the previous manulife to get the details and they said that it has been paid. It was so much stressful and such waste of time. I am never going back to them again. Worst experience so far.

The staff was very knowledgeable and caring. My results were good besides some broken fillings and an appointment is in place to start those repairs.

Hygienist my daughter has was absolutely lovely. The man I had was so rough, never been in so much pain after the dentist in my life. Suggesting me things I don’t need and so much more expensive than anyone else in the area.

I think toothworks does a great job. They are taking lots of covid precautions and keeping the place clean. The employees are friendly and tell you lots of information and answer your questions. I will definitely be telling my family and friend to go to toothworks if they are looking for a new dentist.

These folks are A1 top of the heap in terms of customer service and care! Friendly, helpful, flexible and really seem to care about the folks young and older who come thru their door! HIGHLY recommend them!

Receptionist was condescending and rude. Hygienist and dentist were okay. I ended up having to pay out of pocket for something because my benefits didn’t cover everything … weren’t very transparent. My suggestion is to ask lots of questions and be aware of what treatment and services you are receiving beforehand!

Overall I am happy with the treatment I receive at Toothworks at the Boardwalk. They have been my go-to dentist for the past few years, I started going here to remove my wisdom teeth when I was a student, they offered to perform the procedure while I was awake, which saved me a lot of money before I had my benefits.

I have only had a few issues, about a year and a half ago I went in for some severe pain in my right side upper jaw, the dentist (Dr. El-Masri) told me I needed a root canal, which was unfortunate, but I went ahead and booked. When I attended my appointment for the root canal, I saw a different dentist (Dr. Benjameen), who took a look and told me that I definitely did NOT need a root canal, the tooth was fine. I appreciated the honestly, but it made me suspicious of the first dentist - I have not seen Dr. El-Masri since.

I now see Dr. Al-Attar and she is fantastic! I see her for my cleanings & periodic exams. I recently visited her again regarding the ongoing pain mentioned above, and she determined that it is likely not related to the tooth at all, and advised me to check with my physician! She is very honest and kind.

Had to deal with insurance issues for a while, but once everything was completed I was told and guaranteed - on multiple occasions - I only needed to pay around $600 for my procedure, including being told the day before. I showed up, got my crown removed and a temporary crown put in, and was then told I needed to pay $1200 out of pocket. I had already began the procedure, I couldn't just stop it and not pay. I paid but I complained and brought the issue up and was told I would receive a call back but nothing happened. Always make sure you write what staff you talk to, and what they say. Besides that, the procedure and dentist were great, but really difficult for me financially as I am a college student and was not prepared for this

I have been going to Toothworks for a while now, I would recommend them to anyone. The staff, the hygienist and the dentists. All professional and a very well rounded team!

After not having gone to the dentist for a few years I found myself having some issues and book at Toothworks as they were just around the corner from me. The service I recieved was lovely- the dental assistant was bright and bubbly, and Dr. Man was so thorough in looking through my x-rays and explaining exactly what was happening with my teeth and what a reasonable treatment plan for me is.

Dr. Man also ended up performing my root canal and it was about as painless and easy as a root canal can be, and again she was amazing ay explaining the process and asking any questions I had.

Even the receptionist (Rachel) was lovely in helping me interpret my insurance coverage and helping me to figure out what would and wouldn't be covered so I could make my treatments fit in my budget and schedule.

Finding a dentist that is upfront and honest about costs, benefits, and drawbacks of various services and treatments really was a breath of fresh air. Being treated like a human being instead of just a paycheque really made the difference and I look forward to coming back here to take care of my dental health

Toothworks the Boardwalk is amazing, receptionists are excellent they are so kind and helpful. The hygienists and the dentists oh my goodness they are so helpful, genuine and really care. It’s not in and out thanks for your money, it’s a truly nice service, if you don’t like the dentist try here it will change your mind.

This is a ridiculous place. Front line short girl was irresponsible for her job and she messed all our appointments. She had moved my appointment without my consent at all. And she never apologized for it. Worst customer service. Would never recommend to anyone

As a new patient, I felt very welcomed and comfortable at Toothworks. The hygienist was excellent and I am very happy with my experience.

I had an emergency checkup here as I was not in my city. While taking my X Ray they scratched the floor of my mouth and now I have multiple cuts to the point where I can’t even eat. Absolutely unprofessional. When I asked to send the X Ray to my email and to my actual dentist they didn’t on time. So I had to pay for an X Ray again although that could have been avoided. Staff is helpful and kind but came out more bruised than I went in.

Genuinely good people and my mom goes back here for her regular cleanings time and again, always satisfied!

This clinic meets all patient's expectations. The staff is attentive and caring. Dr. Benjamin is very professional and neat. I felt great after the operation and recovered very quickly.

Comfortable experience.a couple of fillings in a relaxed environment. I need to come back because of a bit of roughness along edge for flossing but no worries.

I had a bad experience with this clinic. My insurance company was charged nearly $300 for the services I did not authorize. On the day of my appointment they had a power cut and my dentist was unable to analyze and discuss the results of my x-rays. However, they still filed a claim as if I received the full service. How can you charge for something that did not happen? This is outrageous!

Glad that I bumped into my friend (Maureen) from college who works here! She works at the front and will bend over backwards to help you with your dental needs, as well as, getting a clear breakdown of your coverage so you don’t get screwed over in the end! I was in the process of looking into a good dentist and luckily came across this spot. The people here are friendly and they know exactly what they are doing. I highly recommend coming here!:)

So helpful and kind! Have been in a lot recently and been treated really well by so many different staff!

First off I would like to say how extremely happy I went there when I had a dental emergency, the staff was so caring and understanding. Dr. Marc and his assistant Hilda were absolutely amazing with me. Dr. Marc does amazing work along side with his assistant Hilda. They both made me feel relaxed and well looked after. They both are a huge asset to Toothworks and I would be lost without them. Thank you both for your continued support, you have had a huge impact on my life and thank you doesn't seem enough for what you have done for me. Toothworks would not be the same without them.

My husband and I transfered to Toothworks several weeks ago. I had my wisdom teeth extracted today. I never thought I would say this, but that was one of the most pleasant dentist appointments I've ever had! Dr Mark and all the staff, including the assistants and front desk, are simply wonderful. The dr was very gentle and friendly and the assistant (whose name, unfortunately, I didn't remember probably because I was a bit nervous when she introduced herself) is amazing! My husband also had a filling done by Dr Mark and I don't think we are ever seeing another dentist in Waterloo! Thank you all for being so lovely!

This is definitely the best dentist I have ever been too. Dr. Al-Attar is amazing. She’s fast, accurate, professional, and I’m always amazed with how quickly and perfectly I recover from her work! The only thing I see wrong is that they open (and start appointments) at 10, and you often see the hygienists and dentists walking in at or after 10 while sitting waiting for your appointment. This means you typically start a few minutes late. Otherwise, appointment reminders via email and text, excellent treatment, and direct billing!
