The coordination of this Lab is commendable and everything here is clean. The staff members and receptionists are professional and helpful even on the phone. Highly recommend this place. Also they are very fast, my doctor received my report very next day and it helps to expedite the process.

The staff here is unprofessional. There's a high probability you will be mistreated when you come here. I suggest you go to another center for imaging. When giving courteous feedback to the team, instead of equipping themselves with open ears, they are readied with indignant replies and denial.

The receptionist was very professional. However, I had a very bad experience with the coordinator (don’t know the name) and the technician (Grace).

The coordinator did not mention the correct time of appointment on my file and hence I was delayed at the location by 45 minutes.

The technician had no experience in making me comfortable throughout the ultrasound. I was in so much pain and discomfort/tears and yet she continued without pausing for a second.
I had to force stop my ultrasound towards the end because of the pain.

I saw a lot of positive reviews on this place/technicians before booking but I don’t recommend Grace to anyone!

Diane (and John at the end too) did a wonderful job taking my x-rays and impressively handled a situation where 2 requisitions overlapped somewhat so that I didn’t have to get double-radiated. Appreciate the expertise and kind manner.

I was really impressed with this centre. Booking was incredibly easy, the admin staff were accommodating and friendly, and the facility is beautiful. Most importantly, the ultrasonographers I had were wonderful. Silvy was absolutely expert at getting me set up, and kept me feeling comfortable with warm banter throughout, and Margaret was kind, efficient, and informative. I am very happy my doctor referred me here for my imaging!

I’ve accessed the services of The Toronto Centre for Medical Imaging a couple of times recently, and I have to say the staff there are really professional and efficient. From the front office staff, who are courteous and welcoming, to the professionals who are there for you when we need them. It is clear to me how hard they work.
Dr. Ismail made me feel comfortable, explained everything about the procedure he was doing and was very professional. Cameo, who helped guide Dr. Ismail through the procedure was just as professional.
I hear of so many people who are frustrated and unhappy with our healthcare system, but they fail to understand the pressure these professionals are faced with on a daily bases.
I’ve had nothing but good experiences and feel these hardworking professionals deserve our thanks and appreciation. Where would we be without them? Thanks to all who work so hard to keeping us healthy.

Staff are efficient, friendly, knowledgeable. The technicians (Imran and John) who helped me with the x-ray are diligent. As the handwriting of the doctor requisition is illegible, they asked relevant questions to ensure the procedures are performed correctly. The office is clean, which make their patients feel safe.

I visited here for taking x-ray for PR. It didn’t take long even I didn’t make an appointment. All of the staff are nice. Specially, John and imran were super friendly!

I usually have a positive experience at TCMI but today was awful. I waited 45 minutes for my appointments and their cash machine wasn't working so they made us pay cash for services. What business that charges for services doesn't have the ability to invoice me? !? The two Technicians I eventually saw were great.

I had a very smooth and pleasant experience at this clinic. The front desk staff are so friendly and welcoming and my technologist was very professional and thorough. The clinic is so clean and well organized, and everything was done efficiently. This is my go-to clinic in the city!

The receptionists are incredibly rude here. You will come up to the counter and say hello and they will ignore you and continue onto their computer. No people skills especially the woman with the black hair and glasses.

Having an ultrasound is never a joy but they do what they can to make you as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. Everyone is friendly and professional. Kudos to Margaret for ensuring I was in and out as quickly as possible.

Really unhelpful/not friendly. Had a referral from a doctor that I was confused about & they were unhelpful, condescending and rude. Seems to be the default state for most of Toronto’s healthcare providers.

Staff and technologist were polite, calm and professional. It was a great experience.
However, I am not sure what happened just now with another patient. It was a bit crowded and people were lining up considering it was a workday afternoon and this is a dt office, I could surely understand. However, She started to talk loudly about her having an appointment and still needed to wait, and then in the waiting area started to talk about other patients behind their back about being “rude” to her standards and etc, and then problems with Toronto being “diverse” I guess with people not of her skin color? If she has a problem with someone, it might be a good idea to go talk to that person directly, either it is another patient or a staff member. Talking trash behind ones back shows great character.

Let me preface this by saying that everyone working here has been kind and I haven’t encountered any rudeness. However the place seems to always be overbooked and people are rushing and unorganized. The first time I came I had to do a pelvic ultrasound and midway someone knocked, didn’t wait for a response and just came in! She started chatting with the technician about something. It was very unprofessional and invasive since I was literally undressed from the bottom down. The second time I came I did an abdomen ultrasound and developed some folluculitis.basically a mild bacterial infection on my abdomen. This wasn’t just a rash. I have eczema and have had allergic reactions in the past. I knew this was bacterial because it was burning and itching and there was was some slight crusting/blistering. Used some antibiotic cream and luckily it’s gone down since then. Pretty sure they’re not following the most hygienic practices. I only came back because I wanted to get my ultrasound done asap and they were able to book me in quickly. I will not be returning in the future after these incidents.

Had a great experience with your x-ray technician Sylvie. She was kind patient and caring. The intake and reception staff were warm and welcoming and the facility was very clean especially the bathrooms. Would highly recommend TCFMI.

Appointment time is +/- like a 20 minutes at least. So be prepared to wait even after you've made and confirmed a time.
Front desk is actually a little rude. (Not to me, but i witnessed at least 2-3 customers get treated poorly in my opinion). They acted dismissive to patient concerns and seemed to constantly have a tone of annoyance. It wasn't a very pleasant experience to wait in line and witness 3 different exchanges between patients and reception go so poorly.
Lastly, technicians honestly didn't seem very skilled/knowledgable. They struggled with my doctor's request which might not be super usual, but it also wasn't crazy. E.g. Please ensure to also scan X. But it seems it wasn't a standard at the clinic so it was skipped.
Honestly for a medical clinic I'd expect a little better. Things might get complicated or hectic but defaulting to a dismissive or checked out manner is far from the attitude you want out of medical professionals and support staff.

I had to go to this facility three times in the last week due to health concerns. Everyone I interacted with there was lovely and very professional, and they made sure to schedule my appointments as quickly as possible. Diane was especially amazing. I had my first mammogram ever and she made sure to make me feel comfortable and at ease during the whole process. I would recommend this facility to others and would go back there should I ever need their services again.

I can't say enough about how I was treated at this facility in particular by Diane. She made sure that I got the various images and services that I needed to obtain a clear diagnosis. She was super busy but I felt that my care really mattered here.

I am writing this as I sit in the waiting room. I booked my appointment over the phone around two weeks ago, I was told my appointment was at 3: 15 and to arrive at 3: 00. I arrived and they couldn't find my appointment, only to discover that the appointment did exist they had just horribly mispelled my name. I then proceeded to sit and wait for another hour with a full bladder because turns out they scheduled it wrong as well. Overall it was a horribly unprofessional experience and I would be hesitant to visit again.

Extremely professional and very caring staff. First time at their office with health concerns and was treated with the upmost of caring and respect by explaining the procedure and what to expect. Did not feel like a patient but part of a team to determine what’s going on and best way forward. Highly recommend them.

Never have I ever had to wait in an imaging center, wearing a robe, in a waiting room with a bunch of people who were also in robes. It's a very uncomfortable and vulnerable position to be in. Patients who are asked to put on the robes deserve to have a private place to wait. I have good patience when it comes to healthcare centers, but this was absolutely absurd. Not to mention the robes felt filthy and unwashed. It all felt all too risky. I saw other women looking just as uncomfortable as I was, trying to cover up more. Please have better practices in place.

Called to make an appointment, was put on hold several times mid-sentence. Once I finally was able to get someone on the line I felt super rushed to communicate what I wanted, the receptionist provided little to no detail when I asked questions and I felt forced to make an appointment without the adequate info on when to arrive/process/payment etc.

I decided to cancel my appointment and take my medical exam elsewhere. With so many other options out there, poor customer service just doesn't cut it these days!

Overall, not a good experience. I don't even think they deserve a star!

I don't even know where to begin.receptionist who took my info on the phone to schedule an appointment was rude and kept putting me on hold. When I finally decided to go in for my appointment, there was no greeting from the reception area, they made me wait for 20 minutes before they finally took my info and OHIP card.

By the time they finally asked me to change for my ultrasound, the technician rudely stated I was late (I arrived 15mins prior to my appointment). I thought this was absolutely inappropriate: 1.blamed for their lack of coordination and organization and 2.to accuse a customer rudely for arriving late when I wasn't.

Just to think my bladder was extremely full at this point, they were already late checking me in to see the technician, and when I finally made it in the ultrasound room, the technician that ended up doing my ultrasound was under training. There were two technicians trying to perform my ultrasound, both speaking in Russian, not even speaking to me at this point. Because the baby was sleeping and they needed the baby to turn, they continued performing the ultrasound by poking my belly around!

As they were performing the ultrasound, meanwhile, my husband was in the waiting room waiting for me and he observed just how uncoordinated and rude the staff were to clients - he was not impressed at this place and was confident we will not be coming back here.

Since I had them perform the NT Sonogram ultrasound, I had to get the bloodwork completed that same day at LifeLabs. The imaging technician had to complete a form and they completed the form for Mount Sinai and by the time I arrived at LifeLabs, they would not perform my bloodwork because the imaging form completed was wrong (they should have been using the North York General)! At this point I was furious! Not only did I have a stressful experience at the imaging clinic but now I have to get these appointments rebooked all over again!

Before I forget, I also asked for a copy of my ultrasound image at which point they charged me $25 for a copy in a CD (we waited another 20 minutes after the appointment to get the CD). Just for your information, most places give you at least two printed images for FREE!

For the people reading my review, this experience should not be stressful instead you should feel relaxed and excited but deciding to go here due to convenience was not a good choice and I would not recommend.

Went for my first baby ultrasound. My husband and I were excited. The technician took longest time to get me in, she was rude and inefficient. She din let us take the picture of the baby and din let us hear the first heartbeat. Would not recommend anyone visit this place.

I’m giving two stars because I do like the clinic itself, however it’s quite annoying to book an appointment. One of the receptionists keep putting me on hold for EVERY single word I say. When you call them, you will probably be put on hold too. You can’t barely answer or ask anything and you’re on hold again and need to repeat the whole thing, many and many times. This is extremely annoying and definitely needs to me improved.

Updating my review to one star because I just learned that the clinic charges non-permanent residents more than double with they bill OHIP for some of their services

This is discriminatory no doubt. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES IF YOU ARE NOT COVERED BY OHIP.

The technician was nice but their administrative practices are bad and they refuse to bill private insurance like the University Health Insurance Plan through Sunlife. They make anyone who isn't a Canadian citizen or permanent resident sign a waiver which came across as discriminatory in my experience. UHIP rejected my claim because the clinic won't give properly itemized invoices. They were also unable to actually provide the imaging requested by my doctor because of the age of their machines. I do no recommend anyone not covered by OHIP to use their services. You're better off going somewhere that bills private insurance directly.

The facility is nice but service is terrible. I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time before being seen. And while I can excuse that, my real strife is with the technician, who was curt and stoic the entire time. She asked me to open up my robe and proceeded to remove my clothing to tuck a towel in without seeking any kind of consent or giving me warning. She didn't say anything to me during the entire 30 minute procedure except to grunt that I should turn to the left or right. At one point I was on my side and she knocked the towel out of place and did not bother to fix it, leaving me feeling exposed and uncomfortable. When the procedure was finished, I began wiping the gel off with the towel. She grabbed it and used it to wipe the ultrasound wand and then tossed it back at me. She then busied herself with paperwork and did not even say goodbye. I will not be returning.

I'm a visible minority Canadian, and the front desk kept insisting I needed to complete a form for non-Canadian / non-resident services. I was confused as to why this was needed, and pointed out that my address is in Toronto. I was bizarrely told, "You may live here, but you're not a citizen yet". Besides the fact that this is inaccurate and painful, it makes me doubt the competency of the clinic to deliver healthcare without prejudice. I understand that everyone is exhausted, but please train your staff to do better.

Terrible service - all your single stars paint a picture and tell the story of how patients and their caregivers are treated. I have been in healthcare for close to 30 years and thankfully my patients have never nor will they ever be treated with such disregard. A message to the “manager” who hung up one me while I was trying to help a patient who could not speak - one day you will need compassion - karma will make sure you get what you’ve given! To the patients - there are many imaging clinics out there. Read the reviews and choose the right one for you!

Olena is the most professional technician that I have ever seen. She is so knowledgeable, detail oriented and patient and in addition to all these, her calm manner and beautiful smile help me to overcome my fear of ultrasound every time I come for ultrasound. Thanks to her, I am so comfortable with my annual and follow up ultrasounds. I pray she always be healthy with great sight, so she can help patients with the diagnosis of their health issues.

What a disaster this place is to try and book something. Can't understand anyone that answers the phone here. They put you on hold 10 times and make it seem like an inconvenience for them to book an appointment. Will not be going here again. Save your frustrations and go elsewhere.

What a great experience from start to finish. The staff are so empathetic and accommodating. They clearly communicated everything and have a lovely office and lounge type waiting area. I felt like I was in a private hospital. Cannot say enough good things.

The reception lady is very cold and put on many holds. It took 20 minutes to get an appointment, and she hung up on me in the end when I was confirming the time. Her lack of customer care is so frustrating!

Came in twice to do xrays. Catharine in imaging was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable and clear and concise with her instructions. Came in without an appointment and was accommodated without issues. Staff in front very friendly. Would come back.

Was getting a scan here and a male member of cleaning staff entered the room without knocking. I cover my body for religious reasons and felt completely violated as I was undressed from the waist down. The nurse was incredibly unfriendly and just said ‘He works here. ’ Absolutely disgusting.

I was also left holding the internal probe as she left the room at one point. This is not normal medical procedure. Please do not come here. I switched to St Michael’s after this and all my scans have been comfortable experiences.

Edit. I’ve just seen that this has been responded to. The man was not clarifying anything, he looked surprised to see me lying there and backed out of the room. He did not knock or apologize. He was not acting in any way to assist my ultrasound nurse or to give any form of medical advice.

Went to this clinic on a recommendation from my family doctor. Walked-in without an appointment for an x-ray and I was in and out in less than an hour. They’ve also promised to get the results to my doctor in the next couple of hours. Everyone was very friendly and nice and the clinic space is very clean and well-maintained.

Amazing, fast, with the atmosphere of a spa. My whole experience here was lovely - from the front desk team, to the fancy robes, to the lighting (it’s not that depressing blue fluorescent that most clinics have). I came for a walk-in X-ray (didn’t have an appointment) and was done in less than 30 mins. And my tech, Kathryn (same spelling - what are the chances?), was incredibly thorough and friendly. I live in the west end but will definitely trek across the city for any future diagnostic imaging.

I don’t understand some of the negative reviews here. I have been coming here for years and my experience has always been exceptional.
I’ve suffered about a dozen serious injuries over the past few years doing martial arts. I have had a range of xrays and ultrasounds done here to diagnose the problems and had them sent to my sports doctor. My knees, shoulders, hamstrings, fingers etc have all been imaged here.
The receptionists have always been pleasant and the technicians doing the procedures have always been thorough and professional. I know the technicians are not allowed to discuss my results by law, so that’s never been a problem even if I’m anxious to know what’s going on. However, they’ve always given the results to my doctor very quickly.
When I’ve had appointments, the wait times were extremely short and they’ve even been able to squeeze me in on an emergency basis a couple of times. Anytime I’ve had imaging at a hospital the wait has been excruciatingly long. Usually hours. Here, it’s always quick.
I remember waiting with my wife at other clinics for her pregnancy ultrasounds for 3 hours, it was brutal. Those places were dirty, noisy and crowded. I’ve never experienced that here.
I think maybe some of the negative reviewers don’t have perspective on how great this place is compared to other OHIP clinics out there. They also don’t seem to understand that the technicians are not allowed by law to discuss your results with you, only your doctor can.
So for me this place has always been clean, fast and professional.
Hopefully I won’t get injured again soon, but if I do, I’ll be back.

Got referred to here for a x-ray. The place was so crowded that we couldn't find a seat to sit down in the waiting area. The waiting time was an hour and half. The x-ray itself took less than 5 mins. Wouldn't recommend.

DO NOT GET AN ULTRASOUND HERE. I went here for a hip ultrasound. They sent the results to my sports medicine doctor who was surprised. The clinic only reported mild-to-moderate swelling in my hip, but I was experiencing serious chronic pain in the area. My doctor asked me to re-do the imaging at Bluewater Imaging (150 Eglinton location). The tech was much, much more thorough and the results showed that I had a large muscle tear and severe deep tissue swelling. Full disclosure - the 2nd ultrasound hurt. The tech who did it was incredibly polite & let me know as he was spotting areas of concern that to get a PROPER image of deep tissue injury he'd have to put pressure on the ultrasound wand. Totally worth it because now we know what's wrong & exactly how to fix it. If my sports medicine doctor hadn't (gently) pushed me to get another ultrasound my injury would have gone undiagnosed.

Got a call asking me not to bring my kids to the ultrasound appointment.i don’t have any children.ive been there three times before.so concerned were they they called me twice before the appt not to bring any kids.its disgusting
