The students are great, The students are wearing to much gear and makes it extremely difficult for them to do there work. As the shield they use over the mask they wear gets foggy, which in results makes it hard to see. So the process is much slower when working on the patients. I feel bad for the students The parking is also terrible. You have no choice but to park in the road and possibly get a ticket.

Ms. T. Skilros is one of the worse teachers at that school. She was constantly unprofessional and unprepared for clinic. She didn't know the rules half the time, and never kept up with emails. That being said there are some wonderful instructors at this school: Ms. Mary Gow, Ms. Annu and many others. The teachers do the best with the resources that are given to them. Just understand that this school is extremely disorganized and you will be punished for this on almost a daily basis. Just understand that any positive reviews posted on here are all fake. They have teachers posting 5 star reviews. They get a bonus to do this. The negative reviews are accurate.

I wish i could give this a 0.0 rating. I already come here 5x they can’t even provide a proper parking, just like the picture below, people been doubled park by the entrance what if there’s a fire? How can the fire trucks can get in? , i am just saying that they are not aware of the safety for the people in the building. Plus the front desk lady especially the asian one she even told us they don’t care about they’re parking or doubling park and I showed it to her incase of emergency how can the fire trucks can get in? I CAN’T EVEN GET OUT!

They have a great Front desk team, Courtney the Student success coordinator and lots of really great RDH instructors!

Amazing experience. The student the worked with me was absolutely brilliant. Felt comfortable and had a cheep clean and sports guard.
Needs better parking tho.

UPDATE: It turns out that the incompetent DENTAL INSTRUCTORS don't know how to read dental XRAYS!

Dear Patients if you're looking to have your Teeth Cleaned PLEASE do not go to the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries Inc.

I paid to have a dental cleaning. I did not receive a proper dental cleaning.

The student did not complete the scaling, the scaling that she did do was not done properly nor did she finish it, and I did not get a polish.

Instead I basically sat in the chair doing nothing while the student was on the computer.

She had me fill out a Diet Plan, which I did not require one nor did I request for one. So why are you wasting my time? I'm an adult. Why does this Dental Hygienist think she is in a position to provide patients with a Diet Plan?

Why is the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries Inc.forcing their Dental Hygienist to fill out a diet plan? They are not Doctors or Dieticians. It's completely ridiculous to make the patients par take in this.

When I filed a complaint with the School I requested to speak to the Head Supervisor. I was ignored.

What really shocked me about this student hygienist is that her hands where constantly shaking.

How can you be a Dental Hygienist if you do not have steady hands? She kept hitting the inside of my teeth with the various dental tools she held in her hand because of the constant shaking. And on several occasions stabbed the inside of my mouth with the scaling instrument because her hands wouldn't stop shaking.

At one point I had to tell her 'ok stop' I was afraid she was going to knock out a tooth with the constantly shaking & hitting the teeth.

Her resting hand, apparently she had nails that kept digging into my lip.

A few times the student paused to adjust her chair and while she was adjusting the chair she had the scaling instrument close to my face. Coming very close to scratching me. Which I had to push her hand away from my face, and tell her that she should put the instruments down then adjust the chair, not dangly the instrument in front of the patients face like that. That's how injuries occur.

With the student hygienist attempted to do some scaling she kept grinding and grinding, then started yanking away at this one tooth, until I had to tell her TO STOP THAT'S ENOUGH!

I was afraid she was going to yank out the filing.

That's not how you're suppose to perform scaling procedures in order to remove plague etc.

The students are not well trained. The school is cutting corners and you will not get a proper cleaning.

Even though the cost of getting your teeth cleaned at the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries Inc.is less than your average dentist appointment, however you're better off spending $150-$300 bucks and getting it done by a skilled & qualified Dental Hygienist at a reputable Dental Office.

My experience at the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries Inc.was horrendous. The Dental Hygienist did a horrible job at scaling and didn't even bother to polish my teeth afterwards. Even thought that's what I paid for.

Don't even get me started on the XRAY fiasco. The dental hygienist didn't even know how to work the panoramic x-ray machine then denied she ever called out 'xray' twice which would imply that she pushed the button mechanism, that would start the machine.

Just stay clear away from this facility at all cost.

If you want your teeth cleaned and done properly please visit your local Dentist Office.

All the Licensed Dentists Offices in the GTA ensure that their Dental Hygienist are well trained and have the proper skill set to do a proper scaling and a proper polishing of the teeth.

Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries Inc.students are not properly trained to be seeing patients. They lack the proper skill, technique and finesse in order to attempt any dental procedure, such as scaling.

FYI. Unsteady hands and long finger nails does not make for a very good Dental Hygienist.

STAY CLEAR. Go and visit a REAL DENTIST OFFICE if you want your teeth cleaned.

I graduated from this school in 2019 and seems as though things haven’t changed at all and maybe even got worse. Save your money and go somewhere else this school is not where you want to be. They only care for money they don’t help student at ALL. A lot of people I know personally who went here ended up having to start taking anti depressants/ anxiety medications to get through the program due to the decline of mental health due to extreme stress brought on from the program. When I attended the program was about $40k now I’m seeing it’s almost or is around $50-60k PLEASE invest in yourself at another hygiene school the bad reviews are all true. I don’t know how this place is still up and running
02 July 2023 21:30
I got the admission after taking a couple of exam, but I feel very nervous about my future going to the school, because they asked me $8000 upfront payment right before OSAP. It looks like a scam or Kinda weird policy, business related education in health care system. Let me tell you guys in one word, your future will sucks. Do not waste your time, I changed my mind to go to the school after deep investigation about this college.

The school TOOK AWAY online lectures, and INCREASED tuition by 10K. So approx 62K to have to commute to 2 different buildings, in Toronto traffic.while delivering LESS then the bare minimum. There "in person" lecture classes, that you have to commute to you are still just watching a teacher on A SCREEN. They lied and said the government "mandated" the return to in person classes, that is NO WHERE to be found on the government website. Other dental hygiene programs are STILL hybrid and cost 20K LESS. This school DESERVES to lose there accreditation, and I can see that happening in the future. They cut corners to save them selves money, which will cost YOU. Your education will suffer, so they can pocket more money. I beg you to go somewhere else. STOP giving these people your money. You will highly regret your decision to come here.
12 February 2023 5:21
Was a student here and was lucky enough to be fully prepared for a fulfilling career in dental hygiene. Great facility and faculty. Best decision ever:)
10 February 2023 2:02
So I had written a review putting this school on blast and they deleted it.lol. That says more than my words can. I'm not finished though, to summarize - these great amazing reviews are all FAKE because students had been asked and declined because theres nothing good to say. I am a former student who dropped out to go to another school - a PROPER school, and quite frankly, was the best decision I have ever made. This school prioritizes money over support, they literally want ur money for EVERYTHING. Like I said in my review that got deleted.this schools a joke and is embarrassing. Student care, cleanliness in student areas, technology (completely outdated by the way), organization, accomodation, accountability and proper protocol is all rated a solid 1/10 with no exaggeration. All I'm saying is, literally ANYWHERE is better than this school, save ur money and time. Idk how this place is even still up and running.
09 February 2023 9:21
I’ve been working closely along side the school and faculty as a sales vendor for 3 1/2 years now and they’ve always bee a pleasure to work with. I enjoy coming to the school and spending time with the students, who all seem very eager to learn and succeed in their hygiene careers. I would recommend the school to anyone considering going here for their hygiene education.
08 February 2023 4:30
I was the Program Director at the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries (TCDHA), for 16 years. When I read some of the reviews posted here I felt that I had to respond and share my experiences with this program.

TCDHA is fully accredited and offers a comprehensive dental hygiene education. The accreditation process is extremely intensive and thorough. It is the exact same process that any dental hygiene school in Canada, public or private, must follow. The program has high standards and expectations of their students and rightfully so. As a prospective student you shouldn't expect anything less.

It is important to understand that Dental Hygiene is a self-regulated profession in Ontario and TCDHA is responsible for producing entry level dental hygienists. They have a responsibility to both the students and to the public. The school works hard to follow all provincial and regulatory guidelines. Methods of evaluation are in place to ensure that students meet the expected clinical and theory requirements. The requirements and expectations are clearly detailed in program outlines and manuals.

When evaluating the program itself one must consider the national board results, the feedback from our clinical clients and of course the employers who have hired our grads. All of which have always been very good. Students and faculty also have the opportunity to provide feedback into the program.

Speaking of faculty: they go out of their way to deliver the curriculum while providing a supportive environment. They are hard working, passionate, and truly care about their students. They participate in faculty development sessions and continually work to stay current in their field.

There is no doubt that the dental hygiene program is a challenging one and at times stressful. The program will demand hard work and dedication no matter which school you choose. No school is perfect and having taught in both the private and public system for many years I can assure you that that is the truth.

I can also assure you that TCDHA will provide you with an excellent education and will support you in your learning journey. You can do this! I have never regretted my decision to become a dental hygienist. I wish you all the best in both your studies and in your future profession!

I am a graduate of Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries from way back. Never regraded one second, I spent there.
Absolute professionalism, high level of dental education, amazing staff, friendly atmosphere… and much more to find out!
I really liked the attitude of the faculty and administrative staff to the students -a warm partnership, as well as conductive and very motivating atmosphere to take on ambitious tasks.
I came from a totally different background and it was a huge change for me. The teachers and the rest of the staff were amazing, helping me and other students to assimilate with the new facility and the program. Their enthusiasm and encouragement helped me to overcome the challenges and obstacles I met on my way. Never felt alone with my questions and uncertainty because all of my concerns were addressed efficiently and appropriately.
Theory and clinical parts of the course was very well organized. The theory classes were thought in a clear format and the variety of teaching tools and methods used by teachers and instructors make the process of learning enjoyable.
I was really privileged to meet so many experienced and knowledgeable educators and professionals there.
It was an amazing experience to work on real patients and get your hands on training with instructors during clinical classes. Their experience and advice on how to deal with real patients and their needs was priceless. Their effort and time we spent together helped me and other students to improve their skills and played a huge role gaining a true sense of confidence! That also prepared us to work as a team and helped us to build strong and effective communication skills that play a huge role while dealing with patients.
I really valued the amount of clinical time offered during this course as well the fact the classes were fully equipped with high quality up to dated equipment. I knew as a student that being well educated and trained was a big asset while looking for a future employment. The clinic was there I learned all my skills to start my carrier.
Soon after graduation from TCDHA, thanks to the college’s reputation I began my journey as Dental Hygienist.
Choosing to go into TCDHA was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. The program was very demanding but is also a very rewarding one. Words cannot express how thankful I am for giving me the opportunity to become Dental Hygienist. I would strongly recommend this program to anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in dental field. For those who are struggling to make their decision about their future, a little bit of advice: “You never know what you’re capable of until you try it”.
28 January 2023 20:59
My family and I have all been ongoing patients of the college for years. I had a cleaning done in the last week and it was a great experience! The students have all been very kind and accommodating. They have assisted my grandmother who is hard of hearing with her dental care very patiently. I really appreciate how the students do such thorough work when cleaning, the hygienists and doctors in the clinic are professional and efficient every time we interact. The atmosphere is clean and very modern, Cleaning and X-rays are affordable and keep our pockets happy! $32 for a teeth cleaning … Definitely will be returning in the future!
26 January 2023 5:18
I went in here for a cleaning and was pleasantly surprised by the students care and attitude, they seemed knowledgeable and very respectful. I did however notice that some of the teachers lacked when it came to supporting the students and mentoring them. Also after speaking with the students I noticed that many of them are struggling to find vitally important clients in order for them to complete the course and graduate and the school seems to offer little to no help.
22 January 2023 8:37
I graduated from the TCDHA program in 2009, a C2/D2 class.

When I joined the program, I was quite new to Canada and my English was not that great back then either. I was obviously a bit apprehensive about joining but also very determined to do well since I knew that graduating from this prestigious school will be my ultimate ticket to a great life in Canada.

Everything was new to me as I didn't have any previous dental experience. The program was certainly not easy, but I studied hard and my dental hygiene dexterity skills were coming along really well too. The faculty was amazing as well as the management was very supportive and the friendships I made.still going strong with many of my classmates even after a decade plus.

After I graduated I worked in the field for about 6 years. Made incredible income that enable me to start travelling the world and real financial independence. Pretty good for a 23-something immigrant from Slovakia.

These days, I'm not working as a hygienist anymore. I currently work in tech on the talent acquisition side of things. Very different from dental hygiene for sure but without becoming the hygienist first, my career wouldn't have progressed in this way.

I highly recommend joining this program! It will be the best decision you ever made for your future:)

The staff are always a pleasure to work with. They are understanding and easy to communicate with.
29 December 2022 14:38
One of the reasons I chose Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries was because of the high success rate of graduates on the National Dental Hygiene Certification Examination. The ongoing and endless support of my didactic and clinical instructors during the program, led to my successful outcome on my first attempt of the board exam. If you are looking for quality dental hygiene education, this is the school to attend!
27 December 2022 20:55
TCDHA was an amazing experience, that provided me with the skills required to enter the profession as an entry to practice dental hygienist - (TCDHA '08 alumnus).

**UPDATE**
I want everyone reading the reviews of this school to know that all of the new 5-star reviews are all from school staff/friends of the owners. I know this for a fact because I had them as instructors myself (I recognize the names) and for the rest, this school had barely ever received 5-star reviews until recently. The ratings of this school were so low that the school had instructed it's staff and friends to leave 5-star reviews to boost their pathetic overall rating of 2 stars to a whooping 3 stars. If that doesn't speak volumes of this school, then I don't know what will. The real reviews come from students who have actually experienced what it's like to be a student, and were NOT PAID, or acquainted, unlike the employees/friends leaving reviews. Shame on the instructors for even promoting this depressing institution for future students to attend. Please see my review below.

As a High Honours graduate of this school, I am warning you that this school will break you down in a way no other educational institute will. From the quality of education to your clinical experience, you will find it hard to say it was enjoyable. Your clinical experience will be the hardest, as you will have zero help in finding clients, and because your education was such low quality, you will be penalized by the clinical instructors while learning how to actually complete the assessment/forms in clinic. The clinic is out-dated, many units are broken, and the school is too cheap to upgrade the computers. There have been numerous occasions the computers have crashed during client assessments and all of your hard work will go to waste. You will regret ever stepping foot into this facility. There are a select few instructors that make your experience slightly more bearable, but most instructors are all on separate pages when it comes to clinical guidance, leaving you confused and lost when each instructor makes you complete forms/assessments according to their own standards. Overall, I wish I would have taken the 3 year route. This school does not care about the students in anyway possible. You are literally just viewed as another incoming cheque to them, but I guess that’s why the owners Boris and Lidia are multi-millionaires. They take as much as they can from you without offering next to nothing back.

Fun Fact: There is a Toronto star article about how spectacular their mansion is. Just remember this fact when you’re in clinic using their 2007 Windows Vista constantly crashing, super slow software/computer and their broken dental chairs.

I seriously wish all future students good luck, but more importantly I would advise to not even bother with this school if you value your mental health.
03 October 2022 19:47
Despite reading all the bad reviews, I had a good experience. First, you have to pay $32 for the cleaning. Then they will require you to pay $35 for the xray because I've had mine few years ago. The reason why some students don't clean patients' teeth at their first appointment is because they need to examine your mouth thoroughly and study your case. It took me a whole day and on my 2nd session I was satisfied. They will deep clean your teeth. In addition, you will also be educated if you also listen to the dentists/professors who will check their work. The dental student who worked with me was 'Mich Sese'. She was really good and fast. She is also quick to update and very kind. I can't wait to finish my 3rd session/last session.
28 June 2022 11:23
Do a good job cleaning. BUT! It takes a long time so be prepared for multiple trips if you are to go there for a cleaning and x-rays. Exclent price tho. AND if you go there, they WILL KEEP CALLING YOU TO GO BACK EVEN THO i HAVE ALREADY SAID THAT WE ARE NOT GOING BACK! These front desk ladies don't know how to do their job cause they're never trained for it.
06 May 2022 21:22
The students here are excellent and provide great dental services! I know that the reviews are very negative here but Breanna was very upfront with me about the time engagement and the steps that the students need to take to complete the cleaning. She provided excellent, thorough examinations including X-rays and more, all for free!
It is a major time commitment but the students are grateful for the patients and I was grateful for the discounted rate!
25 February 2022 21:38
If I could give it no stars I would. That school is the worst. They do not care about your well being or even your success. They only care about how much money they can milk out of you. Unless you want your life to be hell and stressful to that point you would think of committing suicide then that school isn't for you. Trust me you will regret going to that school just like I did and everyone else in my year.
21 October 2021 21:41
Front staff are not inviting, they ask your name and then ignore everything asked. It was not just me who encountered this experience. I watched two other people check in and ask questions which were all ignored. Do you accept cash? Its a yes or no question right? I also called the front desk before I arrived to ask this same question and I was hung up on several times going through the automated loop. Thankfully the hygienist I had did her job well which is probably the most important comment. 32$ for a thorough clean and check up. $30 for x-rays!
10 October 2021 9:10
This school has been open for almost 2 decades and is still so extremely unorganized and unprofessional, not to mention all the broken equipment we are supposed to use. They expect us, as students to be forgiving and understanding when it comes to areas in our education that they fall short, (even though we pay $50k to be here) but do not extend that same energy when the roles are reversed.

As a customer, when you go into a business, you can always get a feel if they have your/ and their staff members best interest at heart, or if they are just in it for the money. Unfortunately here it is apparent, to me, that we are all just a number and money is the main concern.

I think they are more than capable of providing an excellent education/experience/environment and it is very disheartening that they choose not to do so.

My 1 star is for Ms. Annu in Lab.
24 September 2021 2:40
THE WORST SCHOOL U CAN GO TO.all the teachers are narcissist's and will waste your class time bragging about themselves.they don't allow you to view your tests to know what answers you got wrong. Half of the hygiene teachers have their own way of doing things that doesn't align with the school and this causes you to fail evaluations. They are all so stuck up.they will judge you and talk behind your back.they decide the students they are going to fail as they have a quota of people that need to be gone before semester 2.all the tests are done online and they will not let you see the questions you got wrong and the teachers refuse to go over questions we remember from the tests, so theres no way they dont just fail random people. I am lucky to make it to semester 3 but i wish i did the three year route.since being here a teacher has physically shoved me in to a OR.the executives of the school are the worst they dont care about you or your 50 000 dollars. They cut corners in sterilization.reusing DISPOSABLE products.there is one good teacher in this school who truly cares about everyone and genuinely helps you, Ms Annu.the rest of the teachers will walk past you and say good job to anything (I havee purposly used the wrong tools and done wrong techniques to see if a teacher will tell me im wrong and they just say good job and fail you on the eval) DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL
05 September 2021 3:31
Worst place ever.do not dare go here
the student's are learning nothing
can't do a proper cleaning
please save your time and do not go here
16 August 2021 16:54
Front desk ladies are extremely rude and unprofessional. I believe the entire staff at this college need some education in humanity and behavior with public. Moreover, they must learn some ethics and manners as well.
I am feeling sorry for the students who are enrolled at this college, to me it felt like they are being abused and tortured.
27 July 2021 1:58
Upon first visit you are required to answer a lot of questions, which is fine until it crosses a line. I was forced to talk about traumatic events in my life that I haven't even been able to talk to a therapist about, being told that it's mandatory despite showing obvious distress and asking if I had to give so much detail. I had to disclose what medication I was on, which should have been none, but because I had recently taken something, now I'm on at least 2 medications and using an inhaler, which was all exaggerated.
The dental student was polite enough, but over all it was a humiliating experience. Most of the dental work was adequate except feeling pressured to remove a tooth that didn't need removing. I still have my tooth because I answered honestly about there being no pain, but it's like she didn't believe me and wanted to remove it anyway.
23 July 2021 8:41
They don’t help you with anything! They are just about to get your money! If you don’t qualify with the money they don’t even call you back to try to help you with other sources. They change the personal very often, everything is a mess! RUN AWAY from this school!
28 June 2021 8:34

They will threaten you with suspension immediately if you are unable to bring in tuition at a date and time they set up without even confirming with you. They will take money every chance they can from the students, with offering next to nothing back.

However, my favourite part of this entire experience with TCDHA, was when I went to go pick up my diploma (by the way they will never prepare any document on time for you, whether it be a refund or diploma)

Lucy had brought out my diploma to me. How great! Something I worked long and hard for after almost 2 years. You would assume you would receive a warm congratulations for earning your diploma and spending almost $50,000 in tuition! But no. It was more important for the school to want me to re-sign a contract I already signed 2 months prior because it had an error of stating "78 hours" instead of "75 hours". A mistake they had made. I refused to re-sign the document because. I'm already graduated. So there you go. That is the school in a nutshell. They give zero f***s about you. Even till the very last second you are under their roof, they will find a way to disrespect you and offer zero sincerity. Only TCDHA will be the school in the world to hand you your diploma and not even think about uttering the words "Congratulations".
25 May 2021 1:28
For one year I have been calling to admissions, trying to get my admission sorted out yet nobody is ever to take the call, and the person Emily is never ever calling back despite promises. Kinda tells me a lot already about the school and I’ve lost all intention to deal with them in future.
02 May 2021 1:57
No Star For Them its was my first time there.with student, I never been with student hygiene, I didnt even finish my cleaning teeth.its the worst place and worst liar people including student, they wasting ur time, 7 hours a day, at least 5 time appointments, each time u go, u wasting ur day 7 hours, no food, no drink, u dont get paid, they treat u like animal, the student they lie from beginning they dont tell u.will take longtime to clean ur teeth.i went there 2 time I cant take it anymore, they will take advantage of u.they will damage ur teeth, they are protect by signing their contract, u are not protect at all, wasting ur time 7 hours a day, 5 time appointments then u got nothing, they have 2 faces, pls it's better to pay $150 cash clean ur teeth outside, for just 20 minute u done, dont be cheap.befor u go to student college then u have to thing 10 time befor u regretting.no body will appreciate ur help.
28 March 2021 11:43
4th yr going and absolute best care taken re check up, teeth cleaning etc! Students are wonderful, caring extremely thorough then faculty a
nd dentists supervising, I have never seen as much care given even when I had my own dentist! Facilty is spotless, I would highly recommend!
20 November 2020 6:10
Most instructors here are WONDERFUL and they will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart. I love my career, but if I can give one piece of advice, if you are considering dental hygiene as a profession, go literally anywhere else.
It’s not a thing of credibility once you’re in the field. No employer will care what your credentials are (diploma vs degree) as long as you know your stuff and are passionate about what you do.
But my god is this school mighty unprofessional. The owners, pulec and Lydia are unbelievably cruel and rude, and have expelled students on their LAST DAY. Like this school MILKS money and mental stability out of you, spits you out and doesn’t look back. I had to write a 2500 word essay twice because I came to school after hours to grab my depression medication (that I only needed due to this school) out of uniform. They didn’t like my first essay and threatened to expel me due to the “unprofessionalism” I showed from showing up at school out of uniform. They told me I should consider another profession because I don’t have the professionalism to be a hygienist. (Funny that my current employer LOVES me and thinks I’m a wonderful addition to her team, hasn’t mentioned my “in professionalism” once). I was suspended for 3 days, I missed 3 tests, which ended up dropping my grades in those classes from high 90s to a 70%, taking away my high honours, and shorting me $450 ($150 to write a missed exam, and no matter what you get it ends up as a 70). I missed 3 clinics which made me lose 2 clients, and had to pay for 3 remedial clinics to graduate (another $600).
If you have a family member sick or dying, good luck because they won’t let you take a med leave to visit them.
The program they run in the clinics was designed by an idiot I swear, it crashes and erases all data gathered and renders your 3 hour clinical useless.
There was a girl in our school who was 1 credit short from graduating and she wasn’t granted the ability to come back and complete the ONE CREDIT REQUIRED TO GRADUATE. None of her classes were transferable and she had to attend dental hygiene school somewhere else in Ontario. From SCRATCH.
There was a clinical instructor who came to cover shifts from the sister school in Vancouver who mentioned to me that the Toronto school was way worse than the van school, so If its an option, attend there instead.

Long story short, if you’ve got money burning a hole in your pocket and mental stability to give away, this is the school for you.
If you WANT to do hygiene And have any energy to start a career post-graduation, go literally anywhere else. I wish I listened to the person who gave me these exact warnings. I LOVE being a hygienist but it took a lot of time to rebuild my mental health after that school.

When anyone asks me how dental school was I laugh. I NEVER recommend this school. I didn’t even attend graduation because I wanted out so bad.
They know what they can get away with and have been for quite some time. I think my entire graduating class had some beef with them and was gathering data for a class action lawsuit against this school. They do not care that you are uprooting your life, spending more money than necessary, lining their pockets. They only see you as a dollar sign.

I can't review it as a student, but as a patient I've been thrilled with it. 2 years in a row I've been a patient of a dental hygienist who took care of me. This isn't going to be for everyone. You have to go to 4–5 sessions, and it takes until the 3rd session for actual cleaning to take place. But the exchange is that you're getting this for basically free (I believe there's a $30ish onboarding/administrative fee). And you get the BEST cleaning because you're A: getting it from a student who cares about doing a good job, is young, enthusiastic, and needs you so they can graduate, and B: they have teachers making sure all their work is top-notch.
My teeth come out way cleaner, and I get far more attention and care, than a regular cleaning. If the time commitment isn't an issue for you, I couldn't recommend this more.

They invited me to job interview, a few hours later they canceled it without an explanation. I called school to confirm, the lady on the phone just told me my schedule is cancelled for no reason and she mentioned that i should not come to the interview. Unorganized staff!

A review from a graduate of TCDHA with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene (with honours).

I highly encourage any person considering Dental Hygiene as a profession to attend a public college or university to obtain their education NOT a privately owned facility.
There was a significant lack of support for students when issues arose (academically/administrative) while attending this school.
Additionally, the on site dental clinic takes advantage of the students’ work to gain business. Students are required to find almost all their clients on their own. On numerous occasions, students reported their patients getting a call from the clinic asking if they’d want a faster appointment (1 hr rather than 2.5) with the dentist at the clinic rather then a student.
Yes attending here is a fast option to get your diploma, and yes it’s accredited on paper; but do your own research before signing up. This “school” is too much of a business to truly care about its students.
