The Bar has a nice view and good food however the marina just gets worse each passing year what a garbage dump managment should be ashamed. Tons of abandonded rotting boats now they are running out of room and are piling old docks and more dilapedated boats along the beautiful view of the north end of the Island? Has potential to be a signature Marina on Lake Ontario with its location but has all the class of a broken down trailer park.
We used to love this place but not so much in recent years. So much junk lying around everywhere and the docks feel and look like they are falling apart. The store is still good for basic provisions.
Gorgeous. Very clean with great amenities.including water taxis. We loved our Pirate Taxi ride out to the Yankee Lady III so that we did not miss our Harbour cruise.
Great place, Chloe and staff are super helpful, all the boaters are friendly and fun to be around. It’s a real community of people who help each other and those that pass the through. I should also mention there’s a bar onsite! Last nights oysters, pints and whiskies made the last leg of our trip home today, hung over in bad weather truly unforgettable. Don’t worry guys! We’ll be back.
Decent marina. Open late when you’re in need for gas, but you’ll pay a premium compared to other marinas. The shop could have more snack selection for a day on the water.
In 1984 I hadn’t had a bath in three months, I had leather plates on my knees and elbows. I pulled the boat in for the winter, (back then services were very limited off season) there were only a few live aboards around. There, I took the longest shower of my life. I sat there four hours in the shower. Never ran out of hot water. After months on a 1938 45’ Chris Craft with 1938 technology…. That was a -life changing- shower. So. Even after all these years, I remember this place and this little chain of islands. Back then, there was a little amusement park and when it was closed- they had a horse they would let run loose on the island until the park reopened. Cool place, neat islands. And a very appreciative man and his marina shower…….
The ideal escape for the city of Toronto! Get there early, or the wall will be full! Free parking is available in the Marina while you visit the Marina Bar. It's worth the visit for the best view and snacks available!
Don't forget to visit the naked beach around the corner
We visited Centre Island and Ward Island, amazed to see the picturesque location, staff was really helpful and washrooms were clean too! Must visit in Toronto
This place is fantastic. In summers, this is my go-to place where I can spend the whole day just by cycling, lying in the grass and fun with friends. Because of Covid, only a few things are open, but it is still worth visiting.
This is the best place I have ever visited. There is a Ferry that takes us to the Island. I made amazing memories with my friends and my mom. We clicked fantastic pictures. The only concern is; there are only two ports and it needs more landing place where the Ferries can be there. The washrooms were clean. The food courts were expensive; henceforth we got our own food.
Nice place with a restaurant, bar, and store near the marina, plus more food further into the park. You definitely get a bit of a trailer park vibe from it, but still a cozy place with people all enjoying the island life. The bar has live music at night time and you get a tremendous view of the Toronto skyline lit up in all it's splendour. Enjoy it's sights and sounds without all the unpleasant smells.
Toronto Islands is a good day out, away from the busy city and only a short ferry ride. The marina is a nice place to walk around on a sunny day anda picinic spotis right next to the marina.
I live on my boat there all summer, and I can't believe how nice it is. My boat is surrounded by trees and the only view I get of Toronto is the tops of the tallest buildings.
Yet if I want to go to the city I just walk 300 metres to the ferry dock for a short ride to the foot of University Ave. We even have our own shuttle service from the marina to the city dock. I actually go every day for groceries and a newspaper.
We have a little yacht club (Harbour City Yacht Club) and live entertainment 2 or 3 times a week.
Warm, friendly staff, and good bar food.
Toronto Island Marina is the best kept secret in the city. Don't tell anyone.
