Although their website states walk-in services there are none here, and it seems that the hours of walk in at their Thornhill location are quite arbitrary. Fancy looking website with inaccurate / misleading info.

I am so grateful for this clinic, especially for Dr. Dao. I came with the worst back pain and I lost all hope that I would ever feel better. Dr. Dao is a very friendly and helpful doctor, he has helped me with my physical pains and has helped me feel better mentally. He is very supportive and considerate of my complaints. He sent me to many specialist who he thought can help me with my problems. I still go to this clinic and highly recommend it to everyone. I wish all the best to Dr. Dao and all the staff in this clinic.

If you are planning to go to this pain clinic to get some kind of pain relief, you are going to waste your time. Dr. Rod & all the other doctors here are completely useless. They are only concerned with making sure that they look “good” in-front of their college of physicians. They also do not listen to their patients when their patient is telling them what they are looking for in terms of treatment and INSTEAD are telling the PATIENT what THEY think will work for them? They are also giving senior patients an abundance of medication whenever they want it. These seniors are ADDICTS that are also handing out this medication to their family & friends. This clinic needs to get investigated & evaluated. Hopefully the college of physicians reviews them.

I suffer from chronic pain.
I have been doing doctor searching for many years. No doctor has ever
examine my painful body part, not bother to touch my skin, staying 3 feet away from me, took a few seconds to make a diagnosis such as suck up the pain, buy yourself a cane or walker, the pain is all in my head. I came with many diagnostic clinic reports of X ray, MRI CT scan,
Not bother to take a quick look.
I am delighted to write my true feed back about my visit to Dr. Rod.
I first became acquainted with Dr. Rod on Jan 6 2023 and I am thoroughly impressed by his commitment to his role. Without
a doubt, his greatest qualities is that, Dr. Rod is dependable.
Dr. Rod monitors my progress closely, adjusting dosage, prescribed the drug of choice. I learned from him that to alleviate chronic pain, put an emphasis on using an extended release formulation of the pain meds. Meds like dosage one pill every 4 to 6 hours is not appropriate, need hundreds of pills to fulfill the 24/7 pain control. Dr. Rod carefully selected an add-on immediate release form of the same medication, Dr. Rod showed me his capabilities to stay focus in bringing my level of daily pain down from the scale of 10 to an acceptable level, and I can once again enjoy my life and go to work with a smile.
Dr. Rod is very intelligent.
Dr. Rod has a genuine compassion for me.
Dr. Rod is an exceptionally driven physician and very goal oriented.

I am amazed by your intensive care: the " drug titration " You prescribed to me the best combination of a very few drug of choice, which works best for my injured spinal pain caused by the most inferior well-formed disc space@ L5-S1.
You made my well-being your primary focus. My helplessness is now a thing of the past.

Total waste of time a pain clinic who won't help with pain, " there is nothing I can do for you" Dr Sandhu.
Can you give me a cortisone shot under xray?
"No I can't do anything for your herniated disc" really,
Don't believe the 5 star reviews this doctor hears what he wants to hear and when you repeat what he says he says your putting words in my mouth and shuts the conversation down.

Great doctor, always willing to listen to your problem. Uses multiple approaches, good location, easy booking/staff support is great with appointment reminders and follow up.

My profound gratitude to Dr. Ta and Dr. Dao at Toronto Poly Clinic! I have searched far and wide in the GTA for highly qualified professionals to ease my aches and pains brought about by my fibromyalgia, arthritis, and degenerative disks. It was not until I found Dr. Ta and Dr. Dao that my search ended. They take their time to examine and identify where my pain is and how it affects my daily life. They address all of my concerns, including fear of needles! My anxiety from pain is relieved after my treatments and I always leave with a smile. Thank you so much Dr. Ta and Dr. Dao for your healing care!

I was waiting over 2 years for DR Lewis at RVH in Barrie for Radiofrequency Ablation treatment for my back. I was getting pain injections in Newmarket for over a year. The injections were no longer working and they recommended the Poly Clinic and Dr. Sandhu. An appointment was made and today I had my appointment, I got there 45 min early to do paperwork and only waited 5 min past my appointment time. The office staff was polite and professional. Dr. Sandhu and his assistant were not only professional but asked how I was doing during the procedure. I can't stress enough how pleased I am with the entire process. I was told the office will follow up in 2 months but if I have any questions to call the office. Both my wife and I read the negative reviews and were concerned but not once did we see anything that was negative during our visit. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

I never have to wait very long for my appointment but wait times are a bit longer thanks to Covid-19. The staff is great, very knowledgeable and friendly. My doctor is great which is why I've been coming here for almost 15 years.

I was referred to the Poly Clinic by my family doctor after suffering from chronic back pain for over a year. I had tried multiple physiotherapists, chiropractors and had also gotten an x-ray done to ensure there weren't any other issues. I saw Dr. Verma at the practice and after explaining my issues and the pain that I had been experiencing I was told to "Go for a walk. Relax. Take it easy. Take a bath". I was shocked and deeply hurt at his dismissive diagnosis. I would have understood if he had said that the treatments that they offered, the cortisone shots, would not be an effective treatment for my issue. But the way he brushed aside all of the suffering I had gone through for an entire year and the suggestion of "relaxing" was incredibly upsetting and insulting to all the pain I have been experiencing. To the doctor's credit he did thankfully write me a prescription for a muscle relaxant, probably in response to how upset I was. I left the Dr. 's office in tears and was stopped by the receptionist to go to the back and talk with their physiotherapist, with no explanation given as to why. I was clearly upset at my encounter, but yet they still wanted me to visit their clinic. I refused and left the office in tears and decided to finally write this review as it was the absolute worst "treatment" I've ever received in a medical setting and I feel that others should be aware.

This doctor rod distroyed my foot in 2006. I came in with back pain. I just happened to mention I had some foot pain from a recent injury. He told me he could fit it and stuck a needle in the bottom of my foot! Sharp pain ever since. He wouldn't even speak to me until I threatened to report it. Then suddenly the staff was calling me begging me to come in.

Be aware once you book with poli clinic u end up first with physio guys health max or something. All interested on your insurance. Don’t fall for it.

This was my first visit, office was professional and quick, my name was called after only waiting 5 minutes. Dr. Rod made me feel very comfortable and he is very professional, friendly (especially for a nervous patient like myself) and helpful. He gave me options and did a procedure right away (chatting with me to distract me) and I didn't have to rebook. Definitely would go back and see him again, anytime that I need to and I have great confidence in his abilities. Don't think you could find anyone better!

I had a refereal sent here. But was never seen due to "being in wheelchar and not being able to get up on bed which made it too risky" just wow

Wonder how many of these positive reviews are out of pressure since this place has a well known reputation for prescribing pain meds for years before cutting meds without notice, making patients suffer, and leaving them to seek meds on the streets because thanks to their doctors they are "hooked". If it could happen to me, for no reason other than "the college wants this", then I'm sure a truthful review would get their meds taken away just the same.

Pay close attention to the reviews here. Some people have been going to this pain clinic for 20+ years. You know what that means? They use bandaid "treatments" (temporary fix, heavy duty pain pills to use the rest of your life) and don't actually address the problem. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that the objective here is to keep the patient dependant on them, instead of addressing the problem. Do yourself a favor, see a real accredited specialist, surgeon, neurologist, anything but this place. Speaking from my own own horrendous experience, after getting a second opinion I learned these guys aren't even considered specialist the way they claim to be. There are solutions to chronic pain but they won't offer them because if everyone is cured what else do they have to charge for? Some people are AWAKE and will realize this. Others are happy to schedule a life around a weekly visit to this office and settle for 3 days of pain "relief " for 30 years. To each their own I guess.

Overall, my experience here was great the staff especially the new receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Even though there was a long wait time it was worth it as Dr. Rod is a extremely compassionate doctor.

Would definitely recommend to anyone with chronic pain.

Dr Mulla David Northyork is excellent pain killer Doctor I have been visiting Toronto poly Clinic last five years and every two weeks getting lowers back injection and feeling very comfortable well done Dr Mulla David

Dr. Sandhu's image guided procedures have allowed my mom to walk without a walker. She has been able to be more active and travel with the family. His nurses are very sweet as well.

I have seen a total of 3 doctors at this clinic over the last 4 years.
Great administrative and support staff! The ladies at the front desk are great and friendly and make me feel calmer. Their outward compassion is a must for me when I'm getting up to 30 injections weekly, and 10 are very deep and painful!
Dr. Rod is quiet and compassionate.
Dr. Ellenson is knowledgeable and effective, and can do different procedures as needed.
Dr. Sandhu uses the ultrasound guided method to do deep Cortisone injections.
My health and mobility has improved since my treatments started here. In some cases it has been slow, and personal setbacks have made it hard to mentally keep up with the injections I receive. Without them I cannot walk or do anything for myself or my family. I humbly thank this Office Team from the bottom of my heart for helping me get through this period. Without the positive coherence of this Team and of course my wife, I would have given up long ago.

I would highly recommend Dr. Sandhu and his staff. He thoroughly explains the procedures options and answers any questions you might have. They are extremely professional and made me feel very comfortable.

Messed up bookings for my mom (booked several months in advance for the earliest possible date) where at the time of the appointment, they double-booked her and prioritized other patients. This happened twice over the span of a year. Furthermore, a scheduled injection was booked and months after the booking, my mom called to double-check to ensure that the injection was safe with another medication she was on since the time of the booking. Turns out, the injections could have killed her if they had gone through with it - staff should have asked or checked her file about all of her medication before prescribing and booking another worthless appointment. Dr. V is fantastic, but the staff just screwed over someone who was in genuine need of help by stringing her along for over a year.

Great clinic, great staff. Dr. Ellenson is knowledgeable, EXCELLENT at treating chronic pain. Been to so many other poly clinic. This is my final stop.

I have been a pain patient of Dr Rod for almost 10 yrs and he has been absolutely incredible fair, supportive and compassionate. I highly recommend. Its sadly so hard to find half decent doctors out there, so glad and grateful to have found him.

It will take forever to get and see the doctor. Almost 2 hours if waiting to see the doctor, totally unsatisfied.

Dr Lei is a total quack! Makes you wait 20 min to tell you he can't see you. After he knows you drive 40 miles to see him. Horrible service from secretaries as well. Highly UNrecommend!
