Toronto Public Library - Northern Elms Branch

This library size may be small but I prefer to think of it as being cozy. If I need a certain library book, I just order it on the Toronto Public Library's website, place a hold and pick it up at Northern Elms when available. So, I don't really need a big location here.

Bert, the Head Librarian, is excellent and a friendly, considerate, helpful person. The rest of the staff are so very good, too. They are all so welcoming and are obviously highly trained and intelligent.

There have been some problems that I've encountered with my library card and books that had nothing to do with them but the issues were straightened out efficiently and kindly by them on the computer system. Excellent customer service.

I really like going there. I always feel good after the visits and am grateful that Toronto Public Library has given us this local branch that I've been going to for over nine years.

The employees are so so loud in the library. You cannot study here. Even after repeated requests they just keep talking loudly (very loud) within themselves. How do you work here and still manage to be so loud and irresponsible!

Closed Sunday and Monday and opens at 12: 30pm Tues and Wed. Hours are so limited. Compare this to other libraries in wealthier neighborhoods, wonder what the relationship is with low budget allocation and low literacy rates is in this area (rexdale).

Love the Northern Elms Library I have been coming here for years. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, runned by an amazing Librarian and supervisor, named Bert. Great events at this location. Recommend this library to anyone who wants an enjoyable experience. I would just put in a recommendation for more hours at this location. At times it opens late and is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Besides that, love it.

The manager in there is kind of creepy! And very rude. I try to avoid coming to this location because of him.

Not much study space. At least there are chargers.
