The world's most unreliable public servant. Services were suspended for a month and are expected to take another two months to return to normal. I have never experienced such a long services suspension in any private or public sector. Unfortunately, they absolutely don't care what you think. As it is non-life threatening but no interim solution. Our Mayor Olivia Chow doesn’t seem to know how to deal with this issue, or it might not even be on her to-do list.

This is by far the noisiest library I've been to in a while. You normally get kids who are loud and out of control but when the library staff who are loud, and the ones who do not honor the usual silence of a library you have to rethink coming back. I come here to get away from the construction noise in my building and focusing is a real challenge here. The staff have conversations in person and over the phone that everyone can clearly hear. This is not acceptable.

I love Eatonville Branch! It's so beautiful exterior and interior with hundreds of books in neatly maintained bookshelves, including categories and genres of all kinds! I receive and return books here every once in a while using holds, and it's a wonderful experience coming to this library. I am always overjoyed when I step into it. A lovely cosy feel with many people studying with laptops, reading books, or having a drink!

Lovely and wonderful staff. Functional library with books easily and readily available for borrow. Can use online portal to check the availability of the books and hold it.

I visit it because it's in the neighborhood Not much in variety when compared to other smaller libraries. The staff however, is always at hand ready to assist.

Signed up for a new library card and the lady was very quick, very polite, professional, thorough on providing information and answering questions! Couldn't have been smoother or faster. Very busy, lots of people, proof of a great branch.

Jesus christ can the employees be quieter this is literally a library I can't even think my own thoughts because of how loud they are here

One of the great branches of the library, it has a lot of seating area and features recent books. You would usually find a free computer and they have a printer as well. You need a library card though to use those, but do not worry because I am sure you can still use them if you don't have one but may have a process you need to follow (I have done it in the past when I did not have a library card). Parking is free and usually empty and there is a drop off box to return books outside to the east side of the building. It is across the street from a Loblaws so pretty convenient. Accessible by both Toronto and Mississauga public transit.

Nice and quiet library. Staff have always been exceptionally helpful and kind any time I've asked questions.

I called the library for information about opening library card and I was attended by Melony. She was extremely patient and helped to open it digitally and was not in a hurry at all to hang up the call until I got what I wanted.

Who doesn't love Libraries. This is not the biggest one in town but that staff are nice and the selection is fine

Was just there. As a lot of other reviews stated poor service, they asked questions multiple times like they didn't believe me and they have no idea what's going on. I was telling them my phone number and pin will not sync even though I updated it several times, they were not listening, then came home to a Voice mail that it didn't go through when I updated it there but they're not looking into it? Told me to use old #.

Website could improve by letting ppl know the hold Item Is at another location, when it's expected. The way its set up you have no idea if some are there or not. They only had 1 the rest was coming at some unknown time.
Terrible.

Overall Disappointing experience Will not go back there.

This is a library? Staff is below average of good customer service. Always attitude and sense of self entitlement but I guess for a city of Toronto worker what to expect?

Love this place. I have been going there since I was a child. Awesome place to spend the afternoon. The staff are very nice and super helpful. Right across the street from Loblaws in Etobicoke on the East Mall. I hope libraries such as this one will be able to withstand covid and the advent of the internet. Nothing like getting your hands on a real book. I strongly recommend this library.

To quote others: This library is a joke.

I only come here because my library in York Region doesn't have a book I was looking for - unless you have something like that, avoid this library at all costs!

I spent 10 minutes waiting in line at this library, only for a librarian to tell me that the Holds Area was self-serve (I was new to TPL), and for her to point out 3 different carts where my book was. The Holds Section is out of order (i.e. Not numerical), and I spent way too much time looking for my book.

The staff here are incredibly lazy and a joke. This library is also uncomfortably loud.

Eatonville Staff - if you genuinely hate your job and want to be paid more, work somewhere else. You're setting a horrible example for the many kids that visit this library.

Lots of programs for youth, with a great spot for independent study. The silent study spaces could be enforced a bit better, but altogether its a great library situated in a convenient location.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. My only request is that they post signage reminding visitors that this is a library and to try to respect that fact. The other day I was trying to find a book and was totally distracted by a child who was screaming and crying (in the open area) and his mother did nothing to control the kid. The staff should have stepped in.

OMG
Load voices: people talk as if they are in outdoor market place. They laugh, joke, talk and more in the so called "library"

It is very hard to study here.

There is a public events room with kids + teachers playing with very loud voices all over.

I hope that TORONTO PUBLIC LIBRARY take control and change it to make it more library as it should be!

Even staff at the desk talk loud t
(very nice helpful fun people, but the environment of NOISE**)

I will give them ONLY 1 due to quality of the environment

District library level collection and amenities. Modern architecture in a parkette. Can get noisy, but mitigated by bookshelf placement and carpeting.

We come mostly for the baby and toddler programs. Angela is wonderful. My sons always have a blast.

Staff is wonderful and the selection of children’s books in French and Spanish is great! We are very lucky
