Toronto Public Library - Port Union Branch

Definetly needs a redo, but that’s not in their hands. The workers have a lot of conversations and seem to be the only ones talking in the entire place. It is tough to get readings done here but if the workers didn’t talk as much that would probably be easier to do.

Excellent cozy place for people who enjoy quiet reading time alone. The place is neat and well maintained.

The girls at the reception were cheerful and super helpful

Making a library card at your first visit is super easy, all you need to have your valid photo ID and done! You get your card right away and you can start taking your favourite books

Amazing place but always flooded with pranksters who airdrop things and kids who are just roof but aamzing staff

Extremely rude staff. Especially the lady with dark hair.
They do not listen to costumers, don’t greet you, refuse to acknowledge you and treat you like it is bothering them that you are there. I would give this a 0 for costumer service because that is what the whole staff deserves.

Also, the library is small, dirty and smells bad?

Small library but has a good amount of collection of books, so that’s not an issue. The table settings are poor for doing your personal work or to read. There’s also a school near by which student usually fill up the space. The staff like a pervious reviewer said they seem a bit rude and judgmental, literally just want you to leave.

Quite well-endowed and well-equipped for a small neighborhood library. Inside community centre, with nice views on the southern side study spaces.
