Toronto Public Library - Parkdale Branch

Everyone that works here is always so nice and helpful. The Parkdale library is definitely a community hub and they have lots of great programming.

The Parkdale library is a popular place in our family. Living so close, it's been a destination of fun and learning for many years. The staff is friendly and helpful and it's always a place of energy but at the same time, quiet.

Bathrooms generally pretty filthy. I use the facilities at the gym across the street!
Great place to pass time on your way to something else.

I returned 5 dvds; 24 hours later they notified me online that 2 were still missing. (?). And now I'm getting charged.and they still cant find them 'on the shelves. '

I've been in Toronto for 47 years & the Library has been my weakness as always. Any place I have relocated I always saw there was Toronto Public Library within my reach. If you have aptitude there is a lot to learn in here. I value it more than a temple! I extend my gratitudes to the creator of the Library!

Probably not the most aesthetically pleasing library but it has everything you need and has one of the kindest and nicest staffs. I am biased because I live in the neighborhood but I love this place.

Very good! I learned lots of fun and awesome things here, and I got lots of good friendly help from the staff! I love doing my zoom meetings here in the closed off space!

This is one of my favorite Toronto libraries because of the location and the Music Instrument lending library. These are good quality Instruments, which can be borrowed for a couple weeks. They have good Guitars, small Percussion Instrument and a good Yamaha electric Piano.

I was sitting in the Bus Shelter @ Queen Street West & Brock Avenue. I was connected to their WiFi

Great staff; really helpful with setting up a new card. Can rent instruments, movies, and of course, books.

Staff was super helpful, just needed a few prints and it was quick and easy. It's a small library and not confusing like some of the others.

Good overall. Went in to print and it was a bit of a complicated process but everything worked out in the end.

The library is one of my favourite spots in the whole city. Staff at all of the libraries are always warm and friendly. The staff at this location is no different! I'm glad that you can still do pick up and drop off of booked items during this lockdown. Thank you to the kind of stuff who continues to work through this to support the local community!

Just got a Ukulele for 3 weeks! It is amazing that you can get instruments from Toronto Public library.

Small library but it seems full access to all facilities like scanner, printer, and copy.
If you are in a rush you can use the ”express system”.
Due to COVID-19, you must book the system if you want to use them.
You must have a library card to use the system. If you don't have a card you should ask the staff.
Scanning is free but still, you need a library card.
Located at Queen west.
No free parking lot.

The reopened Parkdale branch has computers, study space and hold pickup available now. Staff are patient, helpful and friendly. Thanks!

I really like the new disposition, pretty functional. If you're lucky you can admire the local Parkdale Fauna inside the library screaming for no apparent reason, lol. Crazy fun spot! Hahaha

I haven’t tried all the services that is offered here, but this library seems pretty decent to me.

Small community library in the center of Parkdale. Librarians are very friendly and helpful. First library branch in Toronto to have musical instruments availabe for borrowing.

Parkdale Public Library. Located at Queen Street West & Cowan or Brock. All depends from which direction you are coming from. Don't count on the Library being a Quiet Space. It is one massive room with vocal interaction everywhere. Their could be a High Emotional outburst any Second. Security on Duty. You can book your Computer time or Use one of the 3 Express Computer's. They have 3 Express for Quick email checks & a forth for Scanning. Scanning gets Priority. Laser printing at a cost. Must Add money to Library Card. Very Active & Busy Library. The space is well used by Parkdale's active Community. This Library is Seriously in need of a Major Reno.

Need to learn an Instrument, talk to the front desk & borrow for up to 3 Week's with renewal. You can Borrow keyboard, Acoustic Guitar, Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Ukulele, Violin & Alto Xylophone.

And finally the Parkdale Community Information Centre is here. What they do, I don't know. But they seem to serve diverse languages.

They have free tutor on Wednesday and student who volunteered to to help tutoring is very execellent. I am very happy with my math problem solved.thank you very much.

Best library branch to go to. For those who don’t know, they also provide musical instruments in addition to the regular library stuff. Staff is very friendly and cooperative.

A good library with friendly staff. However if you're trying to read or do work here, it is not a quiet place.
