Yes beautiful building but the opening hours makes no sense. 10 am or 12: 30 pm. Why all other libraries are already opened. I now have to go to another library when this one closer to me is sitting there closed. Fix it

Have been going there for several months and have found the staff, including the security guard, to be:
helpful
friendly and
patient

Additionally, the library is impeccably clean and the atmosphere is quiet in comparison to other libraries in the district

Amazing branch of TPL at the popular intersection of Dufferin and St Clair West, with pick up ans drop off service in COVID times. It's open on usual hours.

COVID safety protocols are there for the readers who want to pick up and drop off the books.

I am happy be able to pick up books, and the librarians are handle it with such care and precautions. Thanks very much

Covid precautions are limiting admission to the library so there may be a little wait outside. The holds pick up system is fast and efficient.
When the library reopens make sure to look for the murals painted by G. A. Reid and Doris McCarthy in 1925 and 1932.

I’ve had only fantastic experiences with this branch throughout the pandemic (and before that too!). They have excellent measures in place that make me feel safe while still being able to access great reads and other media, and are staffed by lovely and kind people. Thanks for all you do TPL!

Awful service.
I know we are in the middle of a pandemic but doesn’t mean Staff has to be so bad at what they do. I went today to this branch to use the computer and printing services and they had no idea what they were doing, they are more focused on making users to follow the rules than doing their job properly, no respect at all to everyone’s time.

I love the public library and the staff here are really nice and always there to help you. Right now you can just reserved books and go pick them up but the stuff is still there to assist if you need help!

This is my “home” library and I go here at least once a week.
The staff have always been kind and helpful to both me and my 4 year old (and 9 month old who is usually in tow).
The kids area is awesome- with beautiful murals and lots for the kids to do.
They run some great programs out of this library including an EarlyON program that is on Wednesdays 10: 30-12: 30.

The staff are very rude and are careless about their work. They can't answer your questions and seem too busy to help or quick to get you away from them. Good place to go to if you are bored but has very little selection and you feel like you're being attacked by the staff.

There is one terribly rude bully employee here. After having a nice time at baby lap time for the first time she verbally attacked me in the back parking lot as I was leaving. Said I was “looking at her and what was I looking at” I tried to deescalate her as I felt threatened and said I was sorry and that wasn’t my intention. She continued to attack me saying I was giving her dirty looks and that I wasn’t allowed to park where I was. She asked me if I worked there very sarcastically. I told her I didn’t and asked if she did. She said yes and so I took a picture of her plates to make a formal complaint. I felt threatened, bullied and offended. I literally had my baby in my arms and just walked out to my car. Later after speaking to someone I was told there is confusion regarding the parking out back and staff was getting frustrated. So clearly this employee took her frustration out on me. To add to her rudeness and assault she threw her door wide open as I tried backing out of the spot. I was shaken. Clearly you can’t make eye contact with anyone these days or risk being attacked. And by a city of Toronto Public Library to boot. Deplorable.

Local library in a brick structure with separate wings and a warm, modern interior. Several tables with charging stations. WiFi can be slow and prone to interruptions.

Just awful! Came with my baby to song circle. The first thing they asked was how old she is. She turned one last week. They asked us to leave because cut off is one. I said okay now we know, we’ll just stay for today as it took us a long time to get here. They insisted we had to leave. Can you imagine? ! An exhausted mother with arms full of diaper bag and baby told to leave the baby group because she is a few days too old. These people are obviously not parents and clearly have no soul. We sat outside listening to the songs. Is this an exclusive club or a public library?

Absolutely horrible branch. Not because of customer service, they are great/outstanding in assisting patrons but the wireless service is just the worst I've seen among branches.after certain spots in Toronto Reference Library.
The connection gets cut off, sometimes you can't even connect and when you ask the librarian if there's anything wrong with wireless they say to call some company. I mean, when there's two different devices that can't connect to the network at the same time it's the network that is messing up, and in that case as a librarian you need to be calling your ISP, not individual patrons because there's nothing wrong with their device. It's common sense and you don't need to be technically inclined to get it.
I have lost a lot of work due to the horrible connection there.
PLEASE GET A RELIABLE ISP.internet is a commodity not the printed books anymore.

One of the most conservative library I ever been to. Worst branch of all in my sincere opinion as a avid library-goer. Rude staff, treating everyone as low-end customers. Often fell dumbfounded at customer with special need. Computer are one of the worst as well. They are eager to kick you out and close early before closing time as well unlike other libraries which give everyone a warning but willing to go at great length to help customers with special needs such as printing and such. This library is one of the worst and most conservative - closed minded towards those with special needs.
