More of a small neighborhood library. There are very few desks, and most of the seating are sofas with small side tables.

Good: Lightning, atmosphere windows with a view! Places to eat close by and nice staff. Cool recording studio space as well.

Bad: Homeless and drug addicts always sleeping on first floor and using computer rooms. (It's close to a safe injection site) They've since closed off the computer room for months and less homless come now. I think they are pretending they have an IT problem just to keep the homeless out.

I'm so grateful for the people
at the counter who serve the community. They're so patient and helpful not to mention the extra work required currently given TPL being offline for a couple weeks now. I really appreciate them all. The overseeing manager hopefully recognizes how great they are.

I love how modern this library looks. It is always clean, and I like how much seating is available for working or reading. The books selection is also good

A great little library for various ages and interests. There is even a creative lab. The staff are kind, resourceful and helpful. I wish it was bigger.

Perhaps someone can explain to me why the DT Libraries in the GTA have such limiting hours. They should be open later on Saturdays as well as Sundays. Not all of us go to Church on Sunday. Hopefully this changes in the future.

During work hours you'll see a lot of adults remote working or studying at this location.

The wifi is strong, there's a roaming security guard on site, and the atmosphere encourages a great deal of focus.

If you're looking for a spot to get work done and need a little break for paying tribute to restaurants and cafes, then this is a good spot.

This is my favourite library in all of Toronto. Is it incredibly easy to access - great location and safe neighborhood. Inside, the space is spacious and lovely with a lot of natural lighting, floor to ceiling windows and a lot of work stations.

TPL at its best - it’s a modern building with many services besides books. Professional staff.

Very nice people working but there's bedbugs in the furniture from the people passing out from drug use

Two level library with great scenery of downtown Toronto with many nearby restaurants and attractions. Great tourist attraction for visitors.

Its a fine building and the people invariably helpful. I use the 3D printing facility often, -a fussy requirement and have never had a failed visit, ever.

Amazing location and people. Had a last-minute printing need for my early day the following day. The girl at the counter, Dominique, understood the urgency and helped me print quickly while the library was closing. Thank you.

The ambience will get you more focused than ever. Has good wifi and many charging points. Ideal place for focused work or study as long as you don't need to take any calls.

Small branch with two levels. There is a limited selection of children's books. Luckily, you can reserve books from other branches and have them available to check out here. There are many programs for younger children. While we were there, there was a program for babies. Currently, they have a Summer Reading Club for your child. This ensures they keep reading over the summer and do not fall behind. Overall, this is a good branch.

My child loves going to Circletime at the Fort York library. Some days it’s quite busy so go early to get a spot!

Love this library as it had a unique architecture with many windows. Located near Fort York, it is near many condos and you may have a difficult time finding a seat during peak times. There is free wifi and printing costs about 15 cents a sheet.

Beautiful library, staff is great and very helpful. Windows are massive with great views. Finding a spot is difficult with COVID, hopefully that will ease out.

Nice Toronto public library. Print, scan, copy, study, 3d printing, access computers. Nice place.

Great design and quite atmosphere. Good amount of plugs and sit for studying or work. Areas for group work is a plus. Finally, great view

Beautiful, bright, modern location and friendly staff. An inspiring space to work in. Most of the ground floor is dedicated to the children’s area, while the second floor holds all the other books and workspaces. Decent selection of non-fiction, fiction, and a shelves of graphic novels and comics as well as DVDs and CDs.

Good studying environment with nice chairs and tables. I think this library was built within 5 years and it looks brand new. Location is good.
But there are not many seats here and I recommend you don’t go to here in rush hours.

Very quiet place, clean, good place to study. I used their photocopier a lot. Also a lot of programs. Staff are nice.

Great, friendly and professional staff. Building design is very modern and contemporary.
But.three things;

1) Their computer room doesn't seem to be cleaned. A month and a half ago I point out to staff how someone wipe snot on a wall next to a PC terminal. It's still there.
2) One of their plugs short circuited my laptop, the repairs cost me the equivalent of a brand new laptop. I highly resent that.
3) Their WiFi is slow, compared to other branches. Heck, compared to any other free public WiFi tbh.

Fantastic location in the terrific Toronto Public Library system. Take advantage of their media lab and 3D printers, eBook collection and more!

Small qualms: there was a loud and distracting group of teens next to me and the wifi was spotty at times.

A modern and quiet place. Comfortable seats and chairs. Lots of light and helpful employees. On the other hand, they keep letting drug addicts sleeping there during the day. I complained about that and was told they couldn't do anything about that. Really?

I went to print a couple of PDF files through the printing service. However it kept shooting out blank sheets. I was told to print from the library computers, which wouldn't have been a problem had I been reimbursed for the blank sheets. Rather than refunding me, the librarian decided to keep the blank sheets and tell me that it was not a technical issue on the library's side - the least she could've done was give me the sheets I paid for. I later went to Staples and had no problem with printing files. Clearly, there was a technical error on their part. I'm highly disappointed.

Pros:
definitely modern.has a good vibe.
Couches are comfortable

Cons:
study seats are few, sometimes it is hard to find a place to sit
Chairs are uncomfortable
You can hear children's voice playing and librarians' talking to people in the first floor and, sometimes makes it harder to concentrate.

Pros:
- The library is spacious and fairly modern/open space.
- Good place for socializing with friends over a coffee

Cons:
- Mix of Child Care Center and Homeless Shelter. I saw at least 5-6 homeless lurking around /sleeping in the second floor.
- NOT appropriate for studying/quiet work as it is pretty loud (kids crying & screaming, etc.)

Very good facility with comfortable seats, free WiFi, lots of plugs and wide windows which provide nice views and descent amount of light.
I guess it’s one of the best locations of the Toronto Public Library.

Outstanding facility. I've used the Toronto Public Library system for much research - and it is amazing. This library is contemporary, and a community asset and hub. Staff have always been helpful. Good selection of books, and it takes little time to get any other resource you need delivered from other libraries. I'm enormously grateful for this place.
19 April 2019 10:26
Convenient, good activities but the space was designed with looks as a priority than function, could have more seats to work and study and less big couches that end up getting people to nap on, also the kid activists draw too much noise so the lack of partitioning to insulate noise is a must.

I love the seating, huge windows, open space, and location. The staff are super friendly and helpful. But this place is half day-care through the week. Downstairs is more often than not filled with screaming, crying kids and what seems like nobody doing anything about it. It can be terribly disruptive for people trying to read or get work done.
