Toronto Public Library - Brentwood Branch

Not as useful as I expected if it's for the purpose of "study". It's very noisy, not good books available if you don't put any "hold", which leads another issue.when most books can be borrowed digitally, what is the purpose of "physical" library? It more like a "community center" to me with rows bookshelves around

Beautiful library, but no parking for library users. Only paid parking, $3/hr! I Wish this location makes free parking available to be able to use this public library.

Nice local library. Good selection for a library of its size. Games, toys and activities in kids section. It has French children's books which is a pleasant surprise.

I needed to print some documents and I received some much help there.

Grew up on the Brentwood Library's books and VHS cassettes (later CDs/DVDs etc.). It was my go to resource for pleasure reading, school work/research, and other fun activities. You see, this was before the internet ;) Wonderful staff, great sessions for kids, warm and welcoming feel, a wonderful library and a staple of the community, truly.

I love it here. Sometimes if I want a book instantly I go on Libby the app and read a book. It is great.

I agree with the other writer about the noise. Earphone wearing staff member was putting the books away like he was tossing brinks.bang bang bang. Very distracting. LOUD ongoing text message notification every single time I come here. Every 10 min or so we all get to hear full volume text notification. Today there is a homeless guy sleeping on the bench at the top of the stairs. His multiple knapsacks etc sitting on the floor. No staff make a move to stop any of this.
On the positive side, they are open to 8: 30 5 days a week. It is large with lots of seating facing the windows. No one bothers you. I have been coming almost every weekday with my laptop to study and always feel comfortable and welcome.

Usualy internet is having problems and it is not that quite as library should be. The rest is okay. Still we cant complain because it is a public library.

Wonderful interior design, with comfortable spaces for a quiet study. Perfect temperature, maintenance and cleaning. Absolutely recommended.
