Awesome medical professionals. I had a victrectomy and it was carried out professionally and without an issuue. I bow my bald head to Dr. Berger and associates, especially the "younger" professional nurses. Thank you for your caring and professionalism.

There were some terrible staff at this office. In the first office near the stairs the ladys treated me like an illegal immigrant. There were far too many people there for two doctors. The doctor was great though. He was extremely patient and kind:)

I was referred to TRI for serious retinal issue. Booking was smooth and the kindly staff were able to fit me in their busy schedule. After checking my eyes by the technicians, I was told that Dr. Aboobaker will see me for eye examination (retinal examination).

Dr. Aboobaker entered the room and introduced himself and started the examination. He told me that I need an urgent laser operation for my retinal and in NO time it was done in the same day. The procedure went smooth with no issues. The care I received in the several followups I had with him after the operation were beyond any expectation.

He is Knowledgeable, smart, kind and thorough. Highly recommended.

I have been going to Dr. Berger for about 15 years. I have had 4 Retina surgeries with him and he is phenomenal. If it were not for him, I would be blind right now. He is extremely kind and passionate, hardworking, and one of the nicest people I have met. They have a number of patients there and have a very efficient process of having eye drops put in, scanning the eyes and seeing Dr. Berger. I am almost always in and out of there quickly, that being said all my questions are answered and I never feel rushed. The very odd time there is a delay, but that is only because there is a problem with a patient and requires more time with him. I would think that people would understand that as Retina trouble is something that sometimes has to be dealt with literally within a day. He needs to be thorough if he sees something of immediate concern.

Today I was referred to the Toronto Retina Institute by my ophthalmologist. The place is packed with patients for a good reason. The TRI is a good place to go for eyeball problems. They have an efficient assembly line for intake, medical history, back of eyeball examination, then review and recommendation by the doctor your are referred to. The doctor has the referral letter, what the referring doctor was concerned about, all your previous scanned records, plus the new imaging they take using very specialized images. It may take an hour or more to go through the process, but you are told at each step what will happen next. Once the collected data is analyzed, you are called into the final examination room where the doctor asks a few more questions, checks your eyes, confirms the analysis, and then discusses what the concern is and what they found. In my case I was presented with a number of surgical and non-surgical options. Everyone is different and your condition is probably different from mine. Anyways, we discussed the pros and cons of each treatment and left the final decision to me. I chose a a preventative option that minimizes the chance of my retina further tearing. So I booked for laser "stitching", (my words and understanding), to minimize the chance of further damage to my eyes.

Eventhough it was crowded, I believe I got best examinations and diagnosis. Staff are very friendly, efficient, fast and I always felt that I was not just one of the crowd, but a patient who needed and was receiving the best care possible.

I am grateful my doctor sent me there. As one of the leading eye doctors in the city, I knew I could trust his judgement sending me to TRI. I am glad he did. I felt i got the treatment i needed. Thanks to my doctor Dr. H.and thank you to Dr. S. AB. I feel safe in your hands.

My 86 year old grandmother went here by referral (dr, Aboobaker) and they further "referred" her to a low vision specialist to review best option for glasses. A month later we did not have an appointment. When we followed up with TRI (ofcourse nobody answered the phone as usual, we left a voicemail), we were given the details of the specialist. We immediately emailed them and they responded they following day that nobody has booked an appointment prior to that day and there was no referral. They literally did nothing they said they would. This is no way to treat the elderly that is suffering from vision loss.

They treat people horribly. Have no compassion towards the patiences. Dr Nancy Tucker is very unprofessional. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Impossible to make an appointment over the phone. Leave messages and never got any call backs. Been calling 3 days now during office hours and have been directed to a voice mail. Guess their receptionists don't' want to take appointments.

I am writing this review in order to prevent other people of seeing Dr. Nancy Tucker. Please read ir all before scheduling an appointment with this “Doctor”. Today my sister had an appointment at this facility. After a long wait of an hour she was asked to enter the consultation room. During the appointment The Dr. Tucker treated her with the upmost unprofessional and disrespectful way! My sister had a concern of a procedure and instead of taking the time to explain what is going to be done the Dr.said that “I do not have time for this” “Are you going to decide to do it or not? ” “I have an extremely busy day to be dealing with this”. My sister never denied the procedure, she was only asking all the necessary questions to the Dr. The doctor proceeded to exit the room and when she came back she told my sister that because of her behavior she is going to be referred to another doctor because Dr. Tucker does not have the “patience” to be dealing with my sister’s inquiries.
I would like this to be considered a formal complain and I hope the respective representative at the clinic reply to this review! I do not wish any patient to be treated like this!

Great institution for eye related treatment. Nice and clean waiting areas, good doctors. There is also free parking outside in the parking garage. The parking garage, however, can be packed at times.
