Love Toronto swim school for many reasons. Instructors are very professional, helpful and patient.when it comes to my son they gave him loads of encouragement. He is always excited for his next lesson and always learning alot and shows alot of improvement weeks after weeks. Highly recommended

What an amazing swim school! The instructors are very nice and helpful, and they are very professional! I got my Bronze Star, Medallion, Cross, and first aid here. They taught me very well and helped me with everything i needed

After reading all the good reviews, I've sign my young child up for swimming (10 classes) at a 2: 1 ratio. However, we had a BAD experience. I suspect the amazing reviews are coming from teens or adults in terms of getting their lifeguard certification. But I want to warn other parents here whom want to sign up their YOUNG kids to this school. I have an older child whom have done lessons at swim-time, and other professional swim schools, now in swim level 5 and never experience these issues before.

(1) every class a new teacher. Each time I "personally" had to explain to the new teacher about my child's progress. This does not make sense to me. The constant change of teachers means each class there is an introduction and the teacher have no clue how to help my child on progressing to the next step. The new teachers have barely any guidance from the owner.

(2) during the 10 week course, there was no program, no structure on what my child should be learning or obtained skills after the course. At the end of the 10 weeks, there was no next steps or comments whatsoever. Even a City class would give you a report on the next steps. With the high expensive cost of the swim class here, I expect more.

(3) The teacher seems to be unable to accommodate 2 kids with 2 different levels. Several instances another child maybe more comfortable with water, and the teacher would carry my child like a baggage walking back and forth. This is BIZZARE to me. I have never seen this in any of the previous schools. In my past experience usually the child would wait on the side for their turn. Never ever would they be carry around like this. I have raise my concerns and the teacher would brush me off and said she cannot handle 2 kids? And told me to talk to the owner.

Another instance with another teacher was she took my child closer to the slight deeper end, and my child wasn't tall enough, then of course choking in water and crying. This again gave me RED flags and tells me the teacher have no clue what she is doing.

I'm a swimmer myself and was completely shock by how these teachers are just thrown in without guidance on what they should be doing. Only rare instances I see the owner jumps in.

To other parents, I notice some of the reviews here are from the teachers themselves. Hence I wouldn't trust all the reviews posted here.

Overall, I would never go back to this swim school and would NOT RECOMMEND anyone with young children.

Toronto swim school is the best choice for taking lifeguard licenses also they have knowledgeable team for kids and adult to learn how to swim, I had great experience, highly recommended!

We tried other swim schools before finding Toronto swim school. Toronto swim school has been a much better experience for us and our 3 year old daughter.we can’t say enough about mike (owner) and his very qualified team of instructors.

I’ve learned so much in such short period! The classes have good friendly vibes and I’ve been very comfortable during them.

I had very good experience at toronto swimming school located at 20 Tangreen crt, North york.
The facility is so organized and the swimming coaches are very professional and kind with kids.

Its a great place and even though i was the only girl in the team for the lifeguard certifications, I had a great experience and all the teachers are nice and helpful.

My daugther has been taking swimming lesson with this swim school for her prelife guarding certification and it’s has been extremely positive experience. What sets them apart from most other private swim schools is that, they have a very small class size and each child is given attention to the smallest details. Mike the owner is extremely passionate and it’s always there to correct the small little detail. He is also very approachable and easy to talk to. They also run classes for the little kids and I have witness first hand how they handle small kids whom have phobia of water so gently and playfully they make them comfortable in the water. I can confidently say they are the golden standards of how a swim school should be. Every instructor is so joyful and skilful in teaching the program. For any parent look for a beginner class or advance certification, this is the right swim school to work with. A very happy parent and child

I loved swimming in this facility. I met my closest friends and coworkers here and learned how to be a better swim instructor here. The children that go here are also lovely and fun.

I recently got into this swimming pool and jointed this group. In fact, this pool has prominent coaches and friendly trainers.
I think the most absorption thing is entering to the pool without any stress.
Coaches always support their student step by step so that they can improve their swim.

I cannot say enough about how great my experience was. The facility is very clean, the pool is warm and the set up makes it so much easy for families with multiple kids to manage the process of getting kids ready for swim lessons.
