Toronto Truck Driving School - Cambridge

Just passed my road test yesterday, After two cancellations on the account of the weather! Just wanted to say thank you to everyone at the Cambridge Location for a great experience. I would recommend TTDS Cambridge to anyone.

Jag was very a Fantastic Teacher and Driver Trainer. He was thorough, thoughtful and incredibly easy to speak to when going through the Internal and external checks prior to driving. Great people, they really care about you and want you to pass. I had to have my drive test earlier for a job application and they worked so hard to make sure it was before and they didn’t have to do that. They really do care

Mike. Our current trainer in the classroom is also excellent. A guy who has been in the industry for decades. Knows his stuff and very importantly, knows how to teach it.

We spent the week working through the 10 chapters of the Essential Driving Skills book provided in the MELT program by TTDS.

TIP. Ask Mike what chapters you will be doing the next day and do the Quiz at the end of each chapter as homework in advance. The questions are easy and readily available in the chapter text.

I would advise the folks for whom English is their second language. That way you can spend more of your time concentrating on Mikes advice in real time. It will also save you a good deal of stress trying complete the quizzes in only 19-15 minutes. Stay ahead of the game and do it in advance.

All in all the week in the classroom is just the tip of the iceberg but it starts to come together by the time you do the 109 question test at the end of the week.

Week 2 Tue-Fri 6pm to 10pm
We continued with Mike as our instructor. This was our chance to get into some practical training. We covered all of the AZ inspection items in the paperwork TTDS will give you at the very beginning.

Cab, glass and mirrors, fuel system, exhaust, frame and cargo body.
Tires, wheel hubs and fasteners. Suspension. Coupler. Air brakes. In cab inspection. On various nights.

On the last night we started to do some backing with the trailer attached. With 4 people there wasn’t a huge amount of time in the truck but I am expecting that to all change next week with one on one training.

All in all after 2 weeks still very happy.

It's the best school the instructor was very clear on explaining everything and using everyday examples I learnt a lot, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to start a career in trucking.

I enjoyed the course very much. The instructors were easy to get along with, very knowledgeable and the 1on1 sessions were very helpful. I did the manual transmission course and passed on first try. Would definitely recommend.

I had a great experience with the Cambridge location! Great instructors, flexible hours for lessons, and they're easy to get in contact if I had any issues or any questions. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

Woow TTDS (Toronto Truck Driving School) at Cambridge is the best truck driving school. Everyone the teachers, the stuff all are very friendly and easy to talk. The course is short a lot to process but it’s rewarding. Thankyou everyone for the best time and success that I accomplished in this short time.
