Company is coming up as SUSPECTED SCAM when they call. I DO NOT answer these calls as they are automatically blocked. Harrass my work environment where I do try and call but no return calls. THEN no to emails for communication and for MY records and they refuse.can't work with em at all.and they are LUCKY to get 1 star as I would give a big 0. I still this it's FRAUD as the phone display says.

I didn’t even have an idea that my card was months behind? Seems interesting I didn’t hear anything till the credit recovery received my report. I’m still investigating my card while doing so - I’ve made payments however the credit recovery continues to add monthly interest so my payments are going now where and my debt is GROWING! I thought by LAW once a credit recovery has your debt they can not keeping adding Interest! I guess when I’m at $100,000 I’ll be able to afford to Pay that

Rude, don’t listen to what you’re telling them. Laurie and the other lady need some customer service skills because they bad at communicating. They’re rude and wonder why people talk to them like that. I was given an email to send my documents to the head leader but they still went a head and garnished my worker benefits. SMH bad service. They left thousands of voice-mails and sent text messages relentlessly. When I called back, the person could not speak English and had no idea why they were calling me. It felt like a scam. I waited on hold for 10 minutes after the lady tried to find out why I needed to call, all to be hung up on. If you want your collection agency to be successful, have someone who can communicate.

I just read these reviews and they reflect EXACTLY what I just experienced on the phone. They are nothing but bullies. Pushing me to pay a reduced rate by tomorrow by going to a loan company to get it. Seriously? If I could do that, I would have paid my debt long ago! This company needs to be looked into.

I would like to direct this review towards Mr. Manog at the extension of 5111 with Total Credit Recovery, LTD. Manog contacted me today in regards to my overdraft balance with Scotiabank. Upon speaking to him, he was EXTREMELY aggressive, rude, and beyond condescending. He screamed at me over the phone demanding why I have not paid my balance in full when he had only given me 2 weeks to settle it. The amount is $4,350 and of course anyone can sympathize that is a lot of money to fork out. Not once did I disagree to pay the amount, I was trying to make a payment arrangement. The entire conversation Manog yelled at me and interrupted me without even letting me get a word in. I strongly suggest that the head management of Total Credit Recovery LTD review Manogs phone logs and conversations with other clients as I believe this individual commits misconduct on a daily basis. Manog should be redirected back to his home country until he can learn how to properly treat Canadians. Shame on you Manog! Shame on you!

On the other hand I called back a few hours later to speak with someone else regarding the situation. I then had the great opportunity to speak with Mr. Mark Barmaker. He was extremely professional, kind, understanding and thoughtful. He was able to extend my deadline for a partial payment and even listened to my frustrations in detail and apologized on behalf of Manog for his behaviour. Individuals like Mark should be the one’s handling debt collections as he did his job with respect and fairness. I strongly suggest that Total Credit Recovery, LTD thank Mark for being such a great employee, then terminate Monag and individuals like him who have no common respect for humans.

*Original* Very unprofessional and instead of being understanding on such a sensitive matter, I was informed, this is not what we told you, etc. I hope they improve on their presentation skills and instead of calling several times a day, understand they should take more action than just removing the telephone number off their records and rectifying the credit issue at its root.

I seen someone say that they are entitled to call you til you pull your hair out, but they're not. Just tell them to stop harassing you and if they feel like you owe them money, to bring you to court, and that will be end of that.

It's against the law for them to continue to harass you after you tell them that.

If you owe like 10k+ though they might take you to court tho.

This company is a fraud and needs to be investigated. Don't fall for their extortion. There are a few indicators to tell that they are scammers. First of all they threaten to seize any bank accounts, and other things that standard collection agencies do not have access to. Secondly, they have been calling non stop. They are really only allowed to call you a few times. Third, they wouldn't properly identify themselves in a professional manner and claim to be uncomfortable when you ask too many questions. A real credit agency will identify their company name and purpose. They also attempt to collect payment from spouses as well. This company didn't make an attempt to collect payment from me on my spouses behalf. Another thing is the website. The website lacks detail, very vague information. They also don't provide the ability to sign in or to provide a company account number to make a payment, they just randomly ask for your credit card online with no website security whatsoever. Do not fall for this scam.

I got phone calls from the agents several times regarding my unpaid amount. I explained my situation to them several times. Today, one of the agents called me and started to ask me personal questions about my status in Canada. She shouted at me and disconnected the call. Disrespectful and horrible!

I have been receiving collection notices for the previous property owner off and on for the past 15 years. Yes, I have owned my property for 15 years. I tried calling the company as a courtesy, but there is no option to talk to someone unless you know an extension. By the grace of god and all that is holy, stop sending mail for M****** Khan to the address ending with a postal code of S2.

Ok so I believe everyone in these comments have something to complain about this company. I had a capital one card debt which this company were given the task to collect the money from me. I spoke to their representative Gloria. She first made a great payment plan for me, explained everything thoroughly and set up a pre authorization from my bank account. The plan was to pay off the debt in 12 months and for the first 6 months they collected the money according to the plan we made together and on the 7th month I paid off the debt in full. I mean this is a collection company and they are entitled to call you till you pull your hair out from being bothered too much. That’s the drill. I avoided the calls till the time I can face with the debt I made and I knew I had to take responsibility of my irresponsible actions in the past lol. So I don’t understand people complaining about the workers the company itself Etc. Gloria was professional from the get go. This is my first encounter with a credit recovery company and she informed me about every single detail. She was kind and patient with me. She also helped me paying off the full balance by writing a statement for me and helped me save 260 over dollars from the debt I should have paid. Special thanks to Gloria for being such a great support. I don’t wanna believe anyone else in that company would be so inexperienced than Gloria is and treat you like a piece of garbage. That’s not realistic to me. You’re just bunch of hicks who don't wanna put their hands under the stone [turkish saying meaning you don’t wanna take responsibility] so just get over it. You’re the only one to blame for your own actions. Lol

All I wanted to do was remove my address from the mailing list since the person the letter was addressed to no longer lives here. She insisted that she couldn't help me and that I should just "ignore the letters" in the future.

Debt collectors are not allowed to call you without you providing your phone number to them. I did not give this agency my number. They are not allowed to harrass you either by calling 20 times a day and filling up voicemail. This is criminal. A Company can be charged with Criminal Harassment. I warned this company to remove my number and stop harassing me or I will charge them. I will also apply to the Human Rights Board. Who will make them take human rights courses. As well as pain and suffering for effecting mental health. You must warn the company to first stop calling and harassing you. If they don't they can be charged criminally as well as go to the human rights Board and file against them. Know your Rights people. If you owe money deal only with equafax or Transunion.

Horrible company. I have debt from Roger's from 4 years ago (debt that was illegally built up) after they decided to cut my services but keep charging me the monthly fee for these services.then, 2-3 years later, these guys purchased the time barred debt, and are trying to come after me for it, and refuse to work with me in any way, just like Roger's when the issue first started. I lost my job 10 mins before my shift, because the owners decided to close the business down. I called rogers that day and explained what happened, asked to have my contract and services closed or suspended, permanently or temporarily, but that wasn't accepted. I offered to give the phone back and let them keep the $200 security deposit, but that wasn't acceptable either. They refused to work with me at every point, and continued to charge me for services I couldn't use even if I needed to. I even spoke to the president of Roger's. No one there cares about people, they just care about money. To the point the are breaking the law and getting this tcr company involved by selling time barred debt. And one of them is building up interest on it, which is not legal on either side.

This place is a joke. I called asked for a release letter. They put me ahold with the supervisor in Virgin. The supervisor hung up on me, I called back was transftered to his line and they kept me on hold for 10 minutes then hung up. ALL im asking for is a release letter. Why is this so difficult. I never EVER treated anyone like that when i worked collections.

Called this agency to pay an overdue balance from Fido that my wife had totally forgot to pay off. The agent on the phone instantly got mad and started yelling at me because he had a problem understanding my wife's name. After he finally figured out my wife's name, the agent still then got mad that there was nothing on her profile and told me to call back Fido. Very unprofessional, rude, and belligerently tried to get me off the phone when all I wanted to do was pay off my bill.

It’s November 4,2020. A female employee of this company called me around 10 am. She was harassing and bullying me. Asking me repeatedly why I can’t make the full payments to bring the balance to 0. I explained why but she kept me asking repeatedly why I can’t pay in full. She also gave false information that I must have to give her my bank account information so that total recovery can debit from my account. But I know there are other methods to pay. I had been carrying this Capital One Master card for last 4 yrs and have paid hundreds of $ in interest and is willing to clear the balance gradually but she was repeatedly telling me to provide her my bank information It’s a very small amount of balance of capital One but she was behaving as if I owe thousand of $. I asked for the payee name and account no to start paying but she hang up on me without providing me the information.

The woman should know that as a Canadian we have rights. We don’t want to be bullied by her in future. The owner of the company should take action against this type of employee.
However I spoke with the supervisor Mathew and filed a complain and is hope that that female employee change her attitude. Thanks.

I just got off the phone with an agent called Sumatra. I think that was her name. I have a capital one card that ended up here because I was off work sick for two and half years. I was reading the reviews I was terrified to call. I called and set up a fixed payment plan with ease. I didn't have any trouble at all. She wasn't rude to me and was nice to talk too. I think it's all in the approach. If you're nice to them, they'll be nice to you. Problem solved. I feel better now.

I had a student loan that was sent to TCR that I thought was paid with the federal portion. They were kind in explaining to me how a student loan breakdown works and gave me the right numbers to call to verify that I did in fact still owe a provincial portion. They clearly explained my options to pay and offered various options. When payment was made in full they enthusiastically congratulated me and gave clear insight as to when this would come off any credit reports etc. We can easily be frustrated with debt collectors however this company does work from a place of empathy and compassion. Explain your ability to pay, make the payment (s) and get out of debt! Thanks for your assistance in a quick resolution but it's my goal to not have future interactions.

Not surprised by all the 1 stars.
The employees here are rude, insulting and condescending.unprofessional to say the least.
I reached out to them about two months ago and have made 4 payments since, in attempts to try and fix my credit asap.
Yet still reveive RUDE calls at dinner time Easter Monday.
Talking to Andrea, the "manager" Ryan Metcalfe, as well as all switchboard staff this evening has been absolutely unpleasant. I suggested they change their approach to get different results, as just out of disgust this will be the LAST thing I look at when making any payments.
I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH A GROUP OF PEOPLE WITH SUCH BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. ITS JUST DECENCY.but they dont like to hold their clients hands as Ryan puts it LOL what a bunch!

They call me everyday at 3: 45 pm looking for someone named Tiffany Dyer for the past 4 years. I am now filing a complaint with the Ontario goverment. I will file a complaint as the calls keep coming in. I have I indicated to these people over 30 times that I am not Tiffany Dyer and that they have no legitimate business with me and to desist. They continue to call everyday at 3: 45 pm. I now feel harassed.

Well they are a collection company. All they want is the money as they have bought the debt from the company that it was originally owed. But keep in mind, it is Canadian law that if you request them to stop calling, they MUST do so and only contact you by mail. If they are calling outside of acceptable hours, also keep in mind that they are going by the time zone of your phone number so if your number is for A different province they can call at different hours. If they are calling for someone other than you, you can tell then to stop calling and/or confirm that it is your debt, not just someone else with your same name. Have them confirm your identity. Don't provide that info to them.

The worst company ever in Canada.they are not professional and they are racist against me. The supervisor that spoke to me was super racist and rude to me. I couldn't believe what happened to me when I was trying to resolve my issues with them. I am calling to resolve it but from their side it seems that they don't want to resolve my issues with them.it feels like someone there has a power and no one is able to fix his/her problem.they keep calling and sending emails without even fixing my problem. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. This company will say you own money that you don’t! I told them that I spoke with the company they were saying I owed money to and the company confirmed my account is paid in full, when I told the “customer service” agent this he proceeded to argue with me that I did not have this conversation with said company. I had to call the company back and get them to send me an email stating I owe nothing so I could send it to this guy to prove it and this was all after said company had already sent them an email stating my account was paid in full. This company is nothing but a bunch of unprofessional crooks.

These guys call me up and say they're recovering money from the Ontario Ministry of Finance. I call the ministry and they can't find me on file anywhere. These guys are a scam! Anyone who gives them a dime is a jabroni, and should contact me immediately in regards to the bridge I'm currently selling in Brooklyn.

They cannot seem to figure out what i owe them, we came to agreement, I paid the amount and 2 months later they still haven't cleared my account and are now demanding more money! I spoke to (Ryan) who is apparently a supervisor and I have never had a a worse customer service experience. He was rude, condescending, unhelpful and would not answer my questions. He even tried to limit me to 1 question.what a joke! I'm not sure where to turn now, the police, a lawyer?

We have repeatedly asked this company to send us a statement of payments (as they have decided to take our tax refunds even though NO payments were missed). My accountant has asked us to get this statement of payments as they are wrongfully taking tax returns and this company is REFUSING to send anything to us stating we have been making payments on time and not missed.
