TPH The Printing House

Despite the busy holiday season, TPH never fails to provide great customer service; responding with so much patience and care, ensuring that they deliver the project on time. I personally haven’t had any issues with any TPH branch I’ve gone to but this specific location is pretty great— Erin and the team handled my request with care and professionalism.

We use this location each year to print our holiday cards. It's always a quick and seamless experience and the quality is fantastic. This year, they dealt with a glitch very quickly. We'll continue to use this location for all our printing needs.

I always have a great experience with TPH. Andrew and his team are responsive and easy to work with. Their prints are always of the highest quality.

WOW! Just when you think the art of customer service at the retail level is a dinosaur, you call TPH Pickering and Erin picks up. She was happy to listen, immediately provide her email so I could send in my scope of work with a few details. Not too long after I received a call from Erin with some questions. Efficient, knowledgeable and above all helped me research the ideal frame. She went above and beyond to create the perfect image and pointed out the fine details that made the difference between great and excellence! The turnaround time was lightening fast also. I could not have asked for a better experience. My go to store in Durham for all my custom printing needs!

I'm incredibly impressed with the level of service, professionalism and kindness that TPH Pickering has provided for me regarding my (first) print job. Erin was the person I was corresponding with for most of my project, and she was very patient, understanding, quick and direct concerning my inquiries. She was able to kindly meet my requests as I had some minor technical difficulties during the entire process. The initial prototype I acquired looked great and beautiful in quality; I hardly had to change anything for the rest of the printed books!

While Erin was amazing in managing my project, I have to credit Andrew and the kind staff at the location for their friendly service and amiability! I'll definitely be returning for future print jobs and projects and have already recommended TPH to several colleagues.

I had some odd-sized photos I wanted printed on cardstock and decided to try out TPH on a friend's recommendation. I could not be happier with their service. Andrew was able to help me with some questions I had and they had my photos printed quickly and painlessly at a reasonable rate. I'll now use them for all my printing needs!

Amazing service, considering the fact that I had an emergency order and they had it done within an hour. Erin goes out of her way to ensure the best customer service! I will 100% be recommending this company, prices are unbeatable!

Super friendly staff, I had Erin help me out today. It was an urgent order, and she jumped on the phone to help me correct my design before printing. I put the order in at 11pm the night before and had already gotten a response from her by 8am. Great service, will definitely use them again.

I never write reviews but felt compelled for 2 opposite reasons.

#1 - An opportunity for growth and change

I initially sent some printing to the Whitby location and after 2 days of communication with their manager Brian via email and phone call, he was unable to problem solve my sizing issue. I bought prints off of Etsy that were able to be resized but it was proving to be too complicated a job for the manager there. He was unable to come up with any helpful suggestions and was short in his communication. He seemed frustarted by my order and very confused/overwhelemed. It was my first time using an Etsy file to be printed so I too was frustrated and thought maybe I was asking too much. What I knew for sure is that dealing with Brian was stressful and that wasn't going to happen any longer. Before I decided to take my business to Costco and just crop the photo myself I gave a call to the Pickering location and I'm so glad I did!

#2 - A Glowing Review!
The PICKERING location is above and beyond amazing! They really understand customer service - especially Erin! I called the Pickering location and explained the situation to her. She was apologetic for the experience I was having and was confident she could easily get it done. She has seen many Etsy files and knew exactly what to do (in case you're printing from Etsy I'd definitely go to this location). She was able to solve the problem within minutes. She resized them, sent me proofs to approve and away we went! She listened to my frustrations with professionalism and kindness. Erin is friendly, efficient and a superb problem solver. I picked up my prints the same day and am extremely happy with them. Although I had to drive over half an hour to get to her I would gladly do so to save myself the stress of dealing with Brian.

After all this I must also say I'm totally opposed to cancel culture and that's not the goal here. I'm sure tons of lovely and helpful people work at the whitby location. I'm also sure Brian has that potential in there somewhere too. It seems as though he's been quite helpful to others. I'm truly hoping this review helps other potential customers become aware of the challeges in whitby currently and go in prepared or make another choice. I also see that most of the reviews here are acknowledged by someone at the printing house so this should ensure this info gets into the right hands to encourge change. Everyone can learn from their mistakes and do better and I'm hoping that happens.

I was printing a custom 50 page book for my mom for her birthday and Erin was extremely helpful, and so considerate! She really went over and beyond to make sure the file was perfect. She also helped by making wonderful recommendations for anything I was concerned about and the final product turned out amazing! The whole process was completely stress-free, I highly recommend this location for all your printing needs!

Extremely Rude. The lady I dealt with names "Erin" was extremely rude on the phone. First call went okay but the second and so on, she would use a very rough tone and words. She sent me the actual print pics form phone to review and when I asked a question, she replied saying "blah blah my arms are not long enough" I am definitely not going back to them for any print jobs just because of her behavior.

Just moved to the area and I ran out of ink on the day of my flight out of the country. I needed a couple of copies printed ASAP. The young gentlemen out front with the baseball cap was such a great help! He explained to me that they usually do bigger projects but he still helped me through.not only once, but TWICE! So much respect for this guy. I really appreciated his customer service. I would totally recommend this place for all your printing needs.

I've worked with the Pickering branch of The Printing House for a number of jobs from business cards, posters and, most recently, Christmas cards. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on all things printing. Definitely my go-to spot when I need printing done right and quickly.

Called for a last minute same day business card printing. E was quick to assist me with all the changes I needed and the team had them ready within a few hours. Very impressed and reccomend them to anyone looking for a printer!

I had a print job that was too big to print at most of there locations except for one way out in Toronto. Despite this, they were able to take my order and provide me with a quote and send it over. The process was hassle-free and they took care of all of the details. They predicted it would be shipped to me in three days, and to my surprise it came in a day early! Very fast service, and the quality of the actual book was exactly as expected. This was my first time printing at a Printing House location, and I was very pleased! The manager, Tracy Ta, was very nice throughout the entire process and explained things very clearly. This is the place for all of your printing needs!

Our experience with TPH is really an answered prayer. We were tight on a deadline for our client so I ordered online and paid express and should have delivered within 3 business days. We didn't received anything and said wait for another three days. After another 3 days nothing and told us they can't track it and order has to be placed again. At this point, I am just really desperate in finding an alternative because our client need to send out the card before Christmas. We went to the other store and told us can be done within 24 hours. Following day after placing an order we were told its going to take 1-3 business days. It's just heaven sent I saw TPH. Spoke to Tracy, she will really make sure she knows what you want and everything is clear before proceeding. I called in at 11 am and she told me printing will be done by 3pm. We received an email that it's ready for pick up at 2 pm. JOB DONE! All within few hours! They are committed!
