Always quite a few good finds. We go for eggs, farm fresh, big batch. So much tastier than store bought. This time I visited the used book section and it was wonderful! Good deals on a large variety of books. And if you don't see it you can usually ask the gentleman and he may be able to get it for you!
I would give a negative star rating if I could. The market area was dirty and disgusting. The vegetables were drying out and wilting. I saw many displays with imported strawberries (that are in season locally) that were from out of the country and covered in mold. Behind the tented area as I went to go to the main building, was littered with rotten produce and flies. I could only stand being inside the building for five minutes before I decided to turn around and leave.
99% the farmers are gone, now it's mostly dirty rude hustlers selling grocery stores' old produce that's just about to rot. Nasty place to get produce. Also, Someone needs to stuff an old mango in the guy's mouth that screams "five dolla five dolla five dolla". This place went downhil. As for the inside flea market, way over priced.
I liked it, really. For 10+ years. However, with arrival of THE PRODUCE GUYZ only a few farmers continue to sell there. Everything else is occupied by Arabs kind market. This is not a FARMER market anymore. I understand that owners getting more profit from them compared with farmers as arabs sell during the whole year.too bad that greed killed it.
BEWARE! The other day I witness a giant male vendor (selling vegetables) yelling at a female shopper. He was super rude and very aggressive. I would advise caution or avoid this place all together as it isn't a very welcoming and safe place, for women especially. I AM NEVER GOING BACK THERE AS NO ONE TRY TO STOP THIS MAN FROM HARASSING THIS POOR WOMAN.
Our first time here but it certainly won’t be our last. Large assortment of fruits and vegetables all at very reasonable prices. The vibe is absolutely cheerful. Well worth a visit if you have never been!
Big market, lots of vendors selling fruit and vegetables. It gets super busy and you can only pay cash. You can get very good deals on fruit and veg but also check before buying cos some produce might not be the best quality.
Good experience at this market. They have got all fresh veggies and fruits. Some items are at very reasonable price whereas some are similar to what we buy at normal retail stores. I love to get my fruits from here.
