The is really Non sense, I called them to ask for podiatrist for my daughter when she was just 3 week Old. At the time they were not accepting new patients but i got listed in the wait list. I got call from them after 3 month and said we are accepting new patients but only less than 2 month old babies. I said my baby is 3 month old now still looking for podiatrist. They said, no they can not accept my baby because she is now 3 month old.what kind of system is this

Management answer all of your clients as to why you do not pick up your phones. I have the same issue on a continuous basis. I guess because there is a doctor shortage, accountability doesn't exist anymore.

I booked an appointment for my daughter, it happened to be on a really cold day. We get there and reception tells me my daughter doesn’t have an appointment but there is a child with the same first name who has an appointment. I booked the appointment! They picked the date.

They never answer calls or return calls. Forget this place.

Does anyone experience a problem with the reception when you are calling and calling so many times and you leave a message more than 3 times and no one gets back to you? I’ve been trying since last month to book an appointment for my son and no one has called me yet! This is very frustrating and unacceptable.

The receptionist here is Horrible! I always try to call from home to book an appointment and no one ever answers the phone. I showed up for the walk in clinic and decided to call the clinic while I was sitting in the waiting room to see if the reception who WAS sitting at the desk would pick up the phone… I called twice and witnessed her ignore both the calls I made and now I know they don’t care at all and intentionally ignore any calls.

I was just brought on as a new patient and I have never experienced what I have experienced with this doctors office. They never and I mean never answer the phone. Minimum 3 days before they return a call. And currently my new doctor who just brought on new patients has a 2 month waiting list for appointments.

I am a new patient here and they NEVER pick up there phones ever. Making an appointment is impossible. First doctor I have had to literally go into the office to make an appointment. Where is our health care system going? They know we need them more then they need us and this is the type of care were getting because of it

Don't be fooled by the term "walk-in clinic". It's for registered patients only who has a family doctor. It's not open for the general public.

I’ve called repeatedly over a large period of time to get a refill for my son’s medication no answer & no email address to email how are we supposed to get through? ! I understand that most businesses are understaffed (I also don’t understand why, people go back to work!) but the rest of us who are working and trying to run a household are left with no support and no way to get what we need for our kids. Angry and frustrated.

If I could give a 0 star I would. My daughter hasn't been seen since she was 6 months old (she was a preemie aswell) we have been calling, leaving messages, and getting nothing back. We had to have our pharmacy fax them to get a prescription because we could not get through (this has happen multiple times, with the pharmacist leaving a note for them) We just recently got through to them and they told us they were booking into January, keeping in mind my child is now behind in shot, her being preemie and RSV being so bad this year we thought that date was a bit ridiculous, but we took it. We received a phone called from them saying there was a cancelation for 230, we jumped on it. Headed down, when we stopped for gas we called to just remind them we were coming just to be told they apparently double booked and there was nothing they could do. After a very upsetting conversation they lady hung up on us before we could even rebook an appointment. I called back and spoke to someone a lot more kind was able to book for the following week, but she refused to give me the name of the woman that hung up on us. Regardless you work at a pediatrician office, it is EXTREMELY unprofessional to hung up on a concerned parent trying to make an appointment for their child that's over due for vaccines. The only reason my child is going here is because she wasn't allowed to be discharged without a family doctor AND a pediatrician, and Dr. Farhadi was one of the doctors for my daughter in the NICU, I wish I knew a number to report her. This place needs a new staff and some organization skills.

I called over 100 time to confirm my elderly mothers appointment and they never answer! Is there anyone who even works at the receptions desk? So unprofessional. I would give -00 stars if I could.

Ive been a patient at this clinic my whole life and yes while it is a pain to get someone to answer the phone and the wait times can be a bit excessive - you have to consider that it is an extremely busy location. If one person shows up late for their appointment or the appointment lasts a bit longer it can throw off the whole day.

Overall its a great location, the only bad thing I have to say is that some doctors have really odd availability and its hard to work around it but thats about it.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Unprofessional, incompetent, and lazy is what I have to give this clinic. They always tell you their walk in is not accepting new patients, then they tell you to come the next day and that they will be open for walk ins then. You try calling multiple times a day throughout the day, no body ever answers. You waste your time and gas going there constantly. No doctors are available for family doctors so you can’t even register with them. Also, I even called while standing in the call centre no phones even ring at all. Complete waste of time. I get people are stressed out because of Covid, but telling me 25 patients is all you can take for the day for walk ins when there wasn’t even 20 patients in the building is completely ridiculous.

Just went to the walkin clinic on Thursday at 4: 45pm (open until 7pm as per the online hours) and was told they aren't seeing walkin patients until Saturday. Not sure how this makes any sense when they're open on Thursday and Friday, and their website states, "trainyards medical centre welcomes all Ottawa walk-in clinic patients.our walk-in clinic is open to everyone".
I also asked to get set up with a family doctor, so I could book an appointment and the receptionist said the family doctors aren't taking on any new patients. Guess I have to go to the hospital now. Don't waste your time-avoid this clinic!

They post that during the week they are open until 20: 00 for walk-ins, this is a lie. You have to be a pre-registered patient with them to be seen in the evening.

Tried getting in here twice this week. How can you call it a walk-in clinic if you're only seeing patients who have drs at the clinic? Go on Wednesday told to come back Friday or Saturday. Go on Friday told not seeing external patients and to come back Saturday. To even have a chance you have to line up at 7: 30am (they don't even open till 9). Ontario's health care system is broken and this clinic is proof.

This is not a walk-in clinic! Don't bother trying. Although both their website and their front doors post 'walk-in clinic' times, I tried to visit on three different days over a two-week period, arriving at 9: 00 a.m. (posted as opening hours) and each time I was told the walk-in clinic was closed for the day. No notifications on the website, no reasons given.

In July 2021, I suddenly suffered from severe dizziness in the United States, and then I had frequent attacks, which tortured me for two months. After returning to Canada, Dr. MAALOUF quickly diagnosed me with otolithiasis 。Following his the instructions, I went home and did Epley rehab exercises, and I recovered quickly. So far, I have never suffered otolithiasis again.very appreciate to Dr. MAALOUF not only for his accurate diagnosis, but also for his very sympathetic to the patients.

Guys, never ever go this place. The receptionist was extremely rude. If the management wants to know who she was, she was the one on duty at 13: 30 PM on Friday, May 06. Company should fire her immediately because they are not offering this service for free to the citizens. Go anywhere else but not absolutely not here.

Short version: If you want to book appointments conveniently or within a reasonable time frame- go elsewhere.

Long version: I became a patient of Dr. Maalouf’s early this year, and have had a good experience with him as a doctor. He is efficient, but listens and has a good sense of humour. This review is not about him as a doctor.

However the clinic itself is very challenging to work with. No one answers the phone, and you cannot book online. Every time I need to schedule an appointment, I have to call 10-15 times over multiple days before I get through. Alternatively you can leave a message and you will get a call back around a week later - but if you are at work and miss the call then you are right back to square one. As someone with chronic health concerns, this is a nightmare to deal with and is not the kind of support patients deserve from a family doctors office. I will likely begin to look for a new doctor simply because of the clinic challenges.

Staff are not informed nor very helpful. Expect double the wait time than they tell you. This is based on two visits. Information provided over the phone will not match the information you will receive in person. Going to emergency and waiting is a better alternative to this establishment.

Dr. Farhadi can never see my son when he is sick. She is only available for routine shots scheduled months in advance. Even with a negative covid test, the best option I was offered was a phone appointment a MONTH away. When she is away, no other doctors of the clinic cover her patients. This pediatric clinic is the biggest sham of a doctor’s office, they should not be allowed to operate this way.

I was referred here by Telehealth Ontario for a suspected fracture. I checked the website, which said the walk-in clinic was open 9am-8pm. Showed up at 2: 30 and was told that the clinic only accepts walk-ins for their own patients on Thursdays. When I asked why it didn't say anything like that on their website, the receptionist told me it was the girl who runs the website's fault and that I should come back tomorrow, despite there being only a handful of patients waiting for care with 5 +hours left of "walk-in" hours. I wish I'd gone somewhere else, because I can't come back tomorrow and all other nearby clinics close at 4pm. Save yourself the trouble and find a better option the first time.

Went to the walk-in with my 5 year old and arrived at 3: 58, was told that walk-in doesn't open till 4. So here's my feedback: (1) Have that somewhere online that walk-in doesn't open till 4. Great I thought, we got here just at the right now. Receptionist told me that the wait would be "not to long". (2) Apparently you can "pre-sign up" before 4 to save your spot? So even though I arrived at 3: 58 I was? In line, but I didn't know that till we had waited an hour (not what I would call "not to long" when waiting with a 5 year old). After an hour I went and asked and was #7 in line and only 2 people had gone in in the hour we waited. We left at that time to try and find another spot to get in faster.

Suggestions, have a digital board that shows approx wait time upon entry, don't tell people that the wait will be short if it's going to be over an hour, and advertise either the 4pm start time for walk-in or that you can somehow access this unknown sign up system.

I understand our Canadian healthcare system is sub-par because we don't have enough family doctors so we are forced to settle for low quality care. But help families out a little.

I am a patient-to-be of Dr. Maaouf and today a had a very disappointing situation at the Trainyards Medical Center. I was waiting for this appointment for so long and for things that honestly went beyond my hands, I arrived 20 minutes late. When I arrived, I recognized the fact that I was late and begged to the receptionist to allow us keep the appointment and she was reluctant to do so. I totally understand that there are rules but we are HUMANS, and as a people who treat PEOPLE they should understand that when you ask for a medical assistance is because we need it not for fun. My son and I are new in Ottawa, I am desperately looking for a family doctor because there are some issues that we need to be treated. It's incredible how people can not listen to other needs.and can be extremely inflexible to understand human situations. I also asked that we could wait and be the last ones in the queue and the answer was always a BIG NO.
She offered me a new appointment for MAY! A month and a half away from today. If this were a cancer or a chronichal desease we will be death or in serious trouble. Terrible service, terrible ethical behaviour.

I have had the same wonderful family doctor for over 20 years who practices at the Trainyard Medical Centre. She is exceptional; that is if you can get to her after manoeuvering through the awful phone system and reception to get an appointment.
Last Thursday, I realized that I had an ear infection and continual blood pressure readings of 198/97. I needed to see my doctor. I called Trainyards in the morning around 9am. The phone rang over 25 times - no answer. This happens all the time. Finally around 10: 30am after many trials I was able to leave a detailed message. Trainyard's message said I should get a call back soon. No call back. At 3: 30pm I called again, was able to leave another message and indicated that I had been waiting all day. Immediately after I got a call back. I was advised that my doctor was away until later in March, earliest appointment would be mid-March and a option to come to the walk-in clinic and wait my turn. I explained that I am a senior with serious immuno-compromising conditions, and for me, a walk-in clinic, waiting with others in a crowded room, is an invitation to get COVID and die. At least if patients could get appointment times for the walk-in. This is not the first time this has happened, actually is seems to be the norm at Trainyards Medical Centre.
Upset, disappointed and needing medical attention sooner rather than later, I turned to virtual medicine and called Good Doctor Medical Clinic. I was treated well and with respect, and due to my age and symptoms was sent to a near by facility where a LIVE Registered Nurse examined me, was able to do a few tests, and send the results to a REAL doctor who was getting it simultaneously, and whom I then met virtually instantly. When in a bind and in need of medical attention, this virtual medicine is wonderful.
I will contact Good Doctor Medical Clinic again unless communications with patience improve at Trainyards.

My family doctor works in this office and I have been coming here for several years as my primary healthcare provider. Although the staff and doctors are helpful and professional, their phone system is horrendous. It is exceptionally confusing and, after having tried every possible extension, can confidently say no one actually answers the phone regardless of who you are trying to reach. My doctor is great, however, fixing the existing phone system or transitioning to an online system would be very beneficial for this clinic.

I love this clinic. I love dr asghar. She’s very patient, empathetic, and takes things seriously even when you don’t think something is a big deal. I find her to be thorough, and accommodating.
The front staff is ALWAYS pleasant and helpful and understanding. Have been going here for at least 6 years. I’m grateful to have a family doctor for my whole family who is as capable and professional as Dr. Asghar. I do hope she stays for decades to come because a family doctor- let alone a good one is very very hard to find in this VERY annoying city, that is lacking in proper health care.

Worst clinic ever, pediatrician office reception never answers phones, mailbox is not talking messages, always calling to cancel appointments the day before. My 5 month old had only been able to be seen once since birth, other appointments canceled and reschedule over and over a month apart. They dont do thorough checkups. Only decent pediatrician is the older male who unfortunately is retiring and could not take us.

** update. Had an appointment September 7th got a call the day before to reschedule.again. Still cannot get ahold of them

Been coming here for years to get my B12 injections. Always so nice to me. The nurses are amazing and the receptions is great aswell. The doctors take the time to explain everything for me to understand properly. Thank you for your hard work.:)

Lazy doctors are using Covid-19 as an excuse to not see children even-though your child was tested negative for Covid-19 yesterday, and doesn't have any Covid symptoms.

Went to get a diagnosis for my child runny nose. Said they could not do that cause of covid. When I asked why since runny nose is no longer a required symptom. Doctor started yelling at me, said he had no time to explain it to me. Then told me to leave. Rude and unprofessional

Like everyone else on here, worst clinic ever. They NEVER answer the phone and you're extremely lucky if you get a call back after leaving a voicemail. I needed some reports from my doctor in order to apply for life insurance and it took over 2 months with all of the back & forth. My financial advisor even had to pay them a visit because they'd never call him or myself back. Then the next day I get a phone call from Dr. Lo saying my financial advisor berated his staff and called them a bunch of names. Not true at all! Lies, lies and more lies! Instead of the receptionists taking responsibility for their inaptitude they decided to turn it on us so it wouldn't make them look bad. I get that everyone there is probably underpaid and overworked but that's no excuse for the awful customer service. Get your act together! Doctors included.

Terrible walking clinic, they never never pick up the phone. Some of the doctors only would hear one ailment per visit, even if is something simple such as request a blood test.

Health treatment generally good.

As many other reviews indicated, reception and communication are an issue. I was in a car accident and need to be seen and get a prescription to start physio. Left 2 voicemails on different extensions and only on the 5th time calling over the past few weeks did I get through to a person after an extremely lengthy ring. Flat out unacceptable.

Rather than take responsibility and note the need for improvement to be accessible to the patients that are paying the bills through OHIP/taxes, excuses are made. This makes this whole office unacceptable, as to receive good care, patients require good communication.

During Covid, I became infected with poison ivy; this is something I know very well and have gone through before. Once I was already infected, we found the plants that had invaded the property and eradicated them. Unfortunately, I had previously been working in that area for quite some time. Instead of driving for an hour and going to the clinic in person (during covid concerns), I called to see if I could get a prescription since I had several hundred Ivy lumps and that number was growing ever higher. I left a message and someone called me back an hour later only to transfer me to another answering machine. I left a msg with that nurse and never received a call back. Now, all other walk-ins close to me are closed. This clinic has failed me. *EDIT* Still no call back 4 days later. The poison ivy has since reached my left eye. Had I trusted this clinic and not gone elsewhere for a prescription, I would be in serious trouble.

Went there on Jan 2nd. The receptionist was very nice and offered my wife and I the option of seeing the doctor together.
We showed up at 9am and waited 1h15 mins.
Doctor Boyd listened to our problems and was very polite and helpful. We did not feel rushed.
Funny story the receptionist gave directions to a man that was lost.he was looking for some other building (who doesn’t use GPS nowadays?)

This place is brutal. Why have a walk in clinic with only one doctor? At 4pm they said there is 4 people in front of me. It's now 6pm and there are still 2 people in front of me? Unbelievable. Worst clinic ever! Save some time, visit another clinic.

I've been a patient of Dr. Dufresne for almost 10 years and love this clinic. All the negative reviews are clearly from people who have no clue how healthcare providers operate. Reagan is a fantastic admin and always greets you with a warm welcome either by phone or in person. I always feel well taken care of by the time I'm leaving the clinic. Keep up the good work guys!
