Absolutely atrocious!
My girlfriend (21/yo) and I (20/yo) were travelling to gravenhurst for the holidays on Christmas Eve. We got caught in the blizzard and were stranded on side of road outside this hotel for 3 hours. They refused to let us have a room without a $200 cash deposit while the power was out. Once power came back on they let us have a room at $160 a night! What a ripoff. On top of that I had to shovel my way into the driveway 30ft long of 2f deep snow. At 6: 30 am I was told to move my car because it was blocking the road for the plow. After 2 more hours of sitting on the road waiting for roads to clear I could checkout. Worst experience of my life, they just wanted to rip stranded people off on Christmas Eve.

Dated. Needs an upgrade. TV was super small and no Netflix. They did open and let me check in at 3 am. Which was awesome.

Just came back from our vacation. We have had a very bad experience at this hotel. In general, try to avoid this hotel if you are planning to have a nice time in Bracebridge. This hotel will just spoil your holidays. Non-smoke room has a terrible old tobacco smell from sofa and mattresses, basically there is a very strong tobacco odor in the non-smoking room (at least, the room we stayed is like that). Breakfast is miserable, food from food bank is better than that. For that price, you deserve a better hotel.
If you have no other choice but this hotel, please don't opt for breakfast. Tim Hortons is just around the corner which is 100 times better.

Other than the fact that there was a cockroach in my room and only a small bottle of crusty shampoo was provided, it was OK. Also blankets were too thin.

I did not get to stay. I was calling around for pricing. Their pricing on line does not match anywhere near what she wanted to charge me plus I was asking for two beds and two rooms for four nights, and I could not get an answer.she kept pushing one room at 180. It was very difficult. I ended up going elsewhere.

The hotel room we stayed at didn't smell good. You can't bring food or drinks in swimming pool area. Including canned pop, soda, and etc.personnally I would never come back.

Clean spacious room, good beds, patio faced trees for privacy. Very simply breakfast of granola bar, fruit, yogurt but tasty. Only negative was a very noisy bathroom fan on same switch as light.

Staff were really friendly and very helpful with find our way around and recommending great places to eat. It was clean and the pool was an added bonus for the kids to swim in. Rooms are what you’d expect in a regular hotel, nothing fancy, but everything we needed.

Excellent location for going to Santa’s Village.

Great motel but it has noticeably gone downhill since our last visit. Needs some serious maintenance

Best for the budget. No frills place but good for crashing. Make sure you book in advance especially if it's a long weekend. Location is 2 minutes from downtown bracebridge!

Brutal hotel! Poor customer service. Lots of work needed in the room (patch of drywall mud on the wall not sanded or anything), beds have seen better days and the pool (I bet hasn’t been vacuumed all summer) was only heated by the stairs the rest of the pool was cold and full of leaves, broken pool noodles and an unkept area around it. The rooms had a smell and the worst part we gave 24 hours notice we were leaving a day early so the charged us $80 more then the first night saying it was a three night stay deal (not told to us when we booked). Absolutely brutal hotel

Horrible staff and management. Complained of smell in room. Have environmental allergies was getting short of breath, management told me it was an excuse. Refused to give another room or refund because it was a busy weekend, limited housekeeping staff and rooms available. Told me I would have the same “excuse” with another room. Got very mad at me over my medical condition. Very bad customer service. I’ve never had hotel management get upset over a medical condition.

The staff was very friendly, efficient and welcoming. The office, rooms and grounds were clean and well kept. The pool was lovely. Very impressed that there recycling bins in the rooms. Kudos! The bed was very comfortable. We were in Bracebridge for celebration of life for a family member. We chose the Travelodge because of its close proximity to the venue. The online reviews weren't favourable, but we chose to stay, anyway. Ignore the reviews, and make up your own mind. We would definitely stay there again.

No locks on back doors / no hot breakfast food no place to sit n eat breakfast but your room / not all plugs worked in room / front door lock on inside was broken but lock would lock from outside / had to log in password for Wi-Fi every 30 minutes - my room was cut off WI-fi 8am when check out wasn't till 11am - wasn't able to set up all wi-fi I needed for my stay / rooms out of date / no hot water in shower/ not one room had one queen size bed - All queen size bedrooms had 2 beds / only one room with one king size bed / lawn was a mess found beer canns outside Grabage everywhere / kids play area unable to be used/ staff wasn't friendly at all/ rooms very small / only had 5 tv channels. I have always used the Travelodge when away from home n have never stayed at a Travelodge that was like this. This Travelodge needs pple that are trained right n that are friendly this Travelodge needs to been ran by other pple that know how to run a Travelodge

Do not work here. I was a loyal employee and getting paid regularly and biweekly until out of nowhere the owner Mr Patel decided not to pay me or staff for the month of March with no warning and completely out of the blue, but probably had something to do with how expensive it must be to build a gas station. March 25th you’ll be paid, he said, with vacation pay etc, it’ll be better for you. Working basically for free can be exceptionally difficult for a boss who has unrealistic and double standards and enjoys lecturing his staff and wife every single shift. Today, March 25th, the day I was expecting a beautiful paycheck to make up for the fact that I have had to push off bills, payments, rent and groceries for this month.and no paycheck. When asked why Mr Patel didn’t follow his word he yelled, lied and said he never said that and it’s his business he can run it how he wants and fired me. You’re only as good as your word and if you want your employees to respect you and enjoy working for you maybe try not treating them like garbage, a regular paycheck helps get over it for only so long until you have stand up for yourself and your rights as an employee. Good luck to future staff, you’re seriously going to need it

The room I had when I arrived had a heavy smell of smoke. I complained and asked for another room. The owner blamed the previous guest saying she could not control what people did in the room and argued that it couldn't be smoke that maybe it was a chemical smell. I went into another room and was only in there for a few seconds when it was obvious there was the smell of smoke in this room as well. I returned to the office to tell the owner who insisted it couldn't be smoke because it was a non-smoking room. The young girl at reception, who I later learned was Kelsey, was apogetic and quickly gave me another key card. The third room was very cold like the door had been opened for awhile. I was tired at this point and just unpacked. The TV in this room didn't work. I called reception and the owner came to fix it. By the next morning, the smell of smoke in the room was overbearing. I woke to what looked like a smudge of feces on the wall. I understand there being renovations taking place, but the room was filthy. I would never recommend this place. The only reason I gave any star at all is because of Kelsey. Having worked in customer service my whole life, I value excellent customer service. Kelsey responded to my complaint with respect and courtesy. If you read this Kelsey, work some place else. Your skill set should be utilized, not wasted.

Adequate. It's nothing special but the linens were clean and there was plenty of hot water. Decor is dated and the bathroom was dingy - but that said, we would return. It's a very sufficient place to stay if you need a warm bed for the night and your expectations aren't too high. Very good value and a pretty convenient location in an area that is otherwise extremely expensive for hotels or B&Bs.

The owners wife pretty unfriendly but happy to take our money. The owner was fine and room was clean and breakfast offerings also good.

I didn’t even have the chance to stay! I called several times to book a block of rooms for my wedding, was advised to email the manager to do it. Emailed several times heard nothing. Called back tonight and the lady tells me they are not booking blocks of rooms, that my guests will pay the same amount as everyone else she could maybe take $5 or $10 off, most unprofessional place I’ve ever dealt with. Worst customer service I have ever received!
