Very nice and peaceful establishment. Our dog got her treatments twice and loved it. Highly recommended.

I have been taking my pets here since I moved to town 8years ago. Finding them was a happy accident and staying in their happy, caring, supportive practice is the best decision I’ve made.
Over the years they have become like family going through both the exciting times and the times of grief.
The fact that they are a fear free clinic adds to the uniqueness of these special people. They have participated in upgrading courses to achieve this certification for the benefit of their patients.
I have experienced how they looked after my anxious dog, treated my dogs with dignity at the end of their life (no matter how long or short that life was), provided information and support for the various surgeries and illnesses that have occurred. They have listened to my concerns, made suggestions for care and followed up with me.
Their health plans are wonderful. By using them I know that health of my animals is monitored and any problems are hopefully caught early.
As long as I live here, they will be the only place I take my fur babies to!

Absolutely the nicest and friendliest vet hospital I've ever been too. The staff is absolutely amazing! I would recommend everyone to bring there fur babies here. They actually care about your animal and not your money. I would give you guys a 10 star rating if I could. Thank you so much for taking so good care of my babies!

I want to send a special thank you for the 5 stars service we received this morning.
My dog put his paw on the Halloween chocolate box and ate the whole thing.
We called at least 6 clinics and nobody could take us in.
Trenton Pet Hospital saw how desperate we were and made it happen for us.
Very nice staff and great vet who treated us with respect and care.
Thank you so very much for taking care of Simon.it meant the world to me.

We brought our sick dog to Dr. Beens, but she ignored his primary complaint and chose to work him up for a chronic condition. This resulted in over 1000$ of vet fees but yielded no treatment while the dog was sick. She relied almost solely on reports from her administrators and vet techs, and did no thorough assessment. The most charitable interpretation is that she is over booked and trying to get animals treated, but unfortunately makes costly mistakes from time to time. The least charitable interpretation is that she is an apathetic profit driven clinician who exploited our concern for the dog. Either way, we took our business elsewhere.

In response to the owner's comment, Aug 1:

There are no inconsistencies. Miscommunication with your staff or hasty chart review may be at fault on your end, again. The total bill was in fact 1097$. We refused no treatment for his primary complaint, and in fact WE were the ones who advocated for the appropriate testing to be expedited. Your own records attest to all this. It would be boorish for me to include screenshots here. When I came to the clinic yesterday I did not demand to speak to you immediatey. I was completely civil and accepted the suggestion to book a time to chat, but I declined when I was informed that I would have to pay 126$ to talk to you. You will received a detailed email with the play by play so as to assist your internal processes. You will also received my complaint via the CVO. Cheers

**Edit - I knew your office would try to brush it off lol the further diagnostics were to put her under anesthesia to have a better look at her teeth. Should I even bring up the fact that your same office gave my budgie full-strength ivermectin because someone didn't dilute it and almost killed him. You can't dispute that. So I've given you two chances and both failed.

Misdiagnosis! My dog's life was saved by another veterinary office.
For a few weeks my dogs breath was rotten, I called and set up an appointment.
Almost $300 to Trenton Pet Hospital for a 10 second view of her teeth, she was sedated by medication prescribed by their office, my dog was still too upset to have anyone look at her mouth. Given a quote for almost $3000 to have her teeth pulled.
A few days later I took her in for a second opinion to another vet, only $75 for the exam and they didn't charge for the stomach x-ray! They noticed she was bloated and odd smell wasn't that of periodontal issues it was much worse. Turns out she had an obstruction/blockage and infection from the inflammation of something she ate that wasn't digestible.
She would had died if she didn't have emergency surgery.
The bad smell is gone and she's doing much better. So the bad smell "suddenly" disappearing after surgery isn't coincidental it's FACTS!

I don't recommend this place unless you have deep pockets, seems everything is nickel and dimed to death. Any sort of explaining that your office might try to do on here to make it look like I'm wrong or was not the issue won't be accepted and won't change my mind.

I am so happy I found TPH and highly recommend them if you have an anxious or fearful pet.

My guy was experiencing some limping and I wasn’t sure if it was an injury, his hips or arthritis… as he is a senior. Our last Vet left the practice we were going to during COVID and while it wasn’t the best atmosphere there it was the best we could find. We have been without one since.

Very few are skilled at understanding dog behaviour and respecting the signs that dogs display. My guy will ignore people but he does not like to be handled by strangers. Not one vet I called would prescribe meds before seeing him … and many won’t sedate - but why put the dog (or any animal) through that fear!

Everything from my calls to this practice (TPH) to ask about seeing him to the brief examination and sedation for assessment and testing was kind, professional and respectful.

The staff truly understand and respond to pet “parents” and the animals with compassion and up to date knowledge on fear free practices. It is really difficult having a dog that is anxious. There is so much judgement and misunderstanding.

If you don’t have a fearful or anxious dog you are lucky. For those that do, I am so glad we have TPH in our community. The staff are making a profound difference in the lives of their clients.

Dr. Jinni and her team are absolutely amazing! They are a team of compassionate, patient, honest and supportive people. If you have an anxious pet, I highly recommend Trenton Pet. Their fear free and gentle approach has my dogs walking in the front door without being forced or carried. My pets and I really appreciate them!

Called the front desk for rough estimate of a neuter for a 11month old kitten, they said estimates cannot be provided over the telephone, however they offer a complimentary visit and will provide the estimate for the procedure at the visit. Told the booking staff that my kitten gets very scared easily, was offered medications for the drive down, i declined it, as my family member would stay with him during the drive down. Booked an appointment, arrived with my scared kitten, scanned the QR code to check in, was called promptly and was told the procedure would be XXX amount. Very expensive compared to my previous vet. Asked why this information was not given to me when I had phoned, she apologized, there were reasons why I was not made aware of the cost over the telephone. I don’t necessarily agree with the response I received.
I went back home without even entering the building.
2 star review is that, i don’t think they are transparent, and my kitten was brought on an unnecessary trip in the car. Hopefully dogs/cats in the future don’t have to experience unnecessary trips for nothing.

The only good thing is the friendly staff. Unfortunately, they couldn't help my cat. I'll start from the very beginning, my cat had 12 teeth removed at another clinic, after the removal of his teeth he got a runny nose, in connection with the move we turned to Trenton Pet Hospital, he was prescribed a test, the doctor said that my cat's immunity was simply weakened and he was prescribed an antibiotic and vaccination. A little more than a week passed, but there was no improvement, pus with blood began to go from his nose, I wrote to them by mail that the cat was worse, that the antibiotic did not help and perhaps this was due to the extraction of teeth. They said that they needed repeated test, in the end he was prescribed the same antibiotic, I only realized this later, when came home. And they prescribed eye drops, as a result, I paid $ 405 a second time, for something that did not work the first time. At the next meeting, I spoke with Dr. Jenne, to which she advised him to get vaccinated and again said that he simply had weakened immunity, I did not hear any specifics. That is, I paid for the test twice, an antibiotic that does not help and the cat was not helped in any way, he still has a runny nose and his eye is flowing. Unfortunately, they do not connect this in any way with the extraction of teeth, and therefore they could not help him, because they cannot correctly diagnose. As a result, I paid for unnecessary tests, antibiotics, vaccinations and my cat is still sick. Unfortunately I wasted my time

I couldn’t be happier with the care that is given to my pets.
Dr Jinnie and all the staff are absolutely brilliant.
09 November 2022 17:01
Was recommended to purchase a pet plan by the staff in order to 'save' money and steamline services, however after one visit to the facility I struggled to rebook a vaccine appoint. The clinic won't honor the plan and I will be either forced to pay for the vaccine series to be repeated while continuing to pay for the 'savings' plan or end up paying a ridiculous amount for a single vet visit. Approx $500. I feel like I've been sold snake oil.

Also to clarify, I did not decline a follow-up appointment, If such is documented it was done so in error. It is also interesting that the tech who made these notes you keep quoting no longer works at your facility. If your organization cannot meet its commitments and feels that shaming customers is a good strategy for business, you will find more negative reviews happening.

To also be refused service at the clinic on the basis of this review is childish and completely unprofessional. This 'plan' I pay for is not in default. Your organization continues to collect my money.

Trenton Pet Hospital took our dog when he had a semi emergency. They weren't our regular vet but still made time for him. The care he received was top notch.
02 October 2022 14:28
The best ever Vet and Staff we have dealt with. We totally recommend TPH.
Very knowledgeable, honest, caring and friendly Vet & Staff. Most importantly, Ryder is happy
24 September 2022 6:16
A lot of the negative reviews are based around the fees which I do agree are expensive but they are also comparable to other veterinary practices in the area and I don’t think it is fair to give a bad review on that basis. Dr. Jinny is extremely kind and has the best interest of our pets at heart. The receptionist, Lindsay, was able to get me in right away when I called very distressed about a sudden ailment that popped up in my senior cat. I am sure this wasn’t super easy after a long weekend when many clients are likely trying to get in all at once, but I described my cat’s symptoms and Lindsay took this information to the team and called me back two minutes later to instruct me to bring him down. Upon arrival I was seen promptly, and Dr. Jinny took excellent care of him and offered payment options if needed. She recommended other services and when I declined, she did not push about it at all. They are there to provide you with all of the information, I don’t feel that is pushing so much as it is spreading awareness to clients who may not know what all is available to them. All of the staff on site that I dealt with today were fantastic, everybody was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I am a believer in finding the right vet for your family, we have found ours in Trenton Pet Hospital.

Absolutely terrible place to do business with. Be cautious when dealing with them as they will save your credit card information and charge you for appointments and services not authorized.
06 June 2022 19:47
The staff is amazing I love how they have little rooms to let your cat or dog explore, they do a great job working with you on the price it ended up costing me a thousand dollars less than I was quoted for feline dental surgery because they had to do less work than they anticipated which is just amazing of them to do.
05 June 2022 13:13
Amazing clinic! Took little Oliver here and the vet and technicians were absolutely amazing and treated him with the utmost kindness and respect. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a vet who truly cares about their clients!
19 May 2022 7:22
I took my rescue cat for his annual checkup this April. He took his fear free meds the night before but wouldn't take them in the morning. Along with that I had to force him in his carrier.
By time I got there I was a stressed out kitty Mum. I was hoping I could go in because of covid. I was. All precautions were taken including masks.
Lizz must have the touch because Bob let her examine him and give him his needles. He was so calm with her and just sat there.
We discussed his weight which was a concern of mine. Plus the treatment for his teeth and the new Go Fetch Plan. I was no longer stressed out when I left. I highly recommend the care of Dr. Jinny and team.

My cat Persephone (Meow for short) is a 14 year old domestic Short-haired pastel Maliki, began suffering from severe tooth decay + an infection in her gums from the teeth. I called Quinte animal hospital first, but due to Covid-19, they are currently unaccepting of new patients, therefore my next logical call was to the Trenton Pet Hospital, and to my pleasure and relief, they were willing to take Persephone in as early as that day for an emergency exam and provided me with step-by-step results of how everything went. 30 days later and multiple extractions later, Meow is visibly more happy and energetic than when I originally adopted her 8 years ago. I admit that it was a bit pricey, maybe if I had considered insurance, I would have not seen it that way, but it was worth every penny (with a small refund because the vet works as best she can with your financial situation) as they not only took care of my cat but made her feel more than comfortable to where she now wants in her cat carrier to go out!

I'm eternally thankful to the entire team down at the Hospital. If you have a FAMILY MEMBER and your reluctant to take them anywhere close, don't be. Dr. Jinni and the team down at Trenton Pet Hospital have everything they need to promise a great stay for your animal & the only thing they seem to care about is the well being of each patient that comes and goes.
11 June 2021 16:51
I have been a client for the last two years. Highly proffesional staff that take the time to explain the diagnosis and treatments in terms that us as pet owners understand.
They never seem to be annoyed when we have more questions to ask. They even promote us to call back or email once we get home and have time to digest the appointment! I know my furbabies are well looked after while we are there! They are the best!
30 May 2021 16:24
I was very happy to hear about a fear free vet in my area. The staff was very friendly and my dog didn't seem nervous entering the the vet and was comfortable throughout the visit. Thank you.
26 May 2021 5:52
Our cat required emergency care and TPH provided the required services and explained all interventions and reasoning before proceeding. They provided a long term treatment plan and provided regular follow up communication and our cat is back to his normal self thanks to them!

Today was Cooper and Lucy’s first appointments with Trenton Pet Hospital for vaccines and Tchip. ️ Lucy, my fearless warrior, and Cooper, my sometimes nervous nelly, took all like champs, soooo proud of my pups. As for the staff: Cody: Thank you for taking good care of my babies and answering all of my questions, very much appriciate it. Ohhhh and just a heads up, Cooper has another appointment booked for May 5th so just remember not to turn your back on him or he will escape, again! Lol I guess i should have warned you that Cooper knows how to open doors. Heather: I know Cooper was a little nervous going in so i just want to say a huuuuge Thank you for sitting and talking with him for few minutes til he felt more comfortable and answering all of my questions when i called back. You guys are great, will be bringing my pups back and highly recommend!
12 May 2021 12:37
We have only been living in the area for about 10 weeks. And our dog came to Dr. Jinni and team with a myriad of pre-existing health conditions.
Not once did they make us feel like our questions, and calls and visits were a burden. They stopped at nothing to help us find answers for our boy in order to get him on the road to recovery.
I can't say enough about the professionalism, and kindness we received from the entire staff. Not just toward us to but to Lugo too.
As devoted Pet parents, we've been worried knowing something is wrong with our pup, and ultimately felt helpless trying to figure out what is wrong. But the team at Trenton Pet worked with us, and Lugo to get to the bottom of his issues.
He may have a long way to recover to get in tip top shape, but I couldn't have asked for a better more caring team to put our trust into to help him get better.
While we love you guys, we hope we don't have to make a trip back anytime soon.haha! But if we do, we know we're in good hands. Thank you for everything.
03 May 2021 20:47
Extremely rude, quote you one price to get you in the door, and then try charging you something completely different once you bring your pet in.

Left on hold for 20 minutes (was able to drive across town to get a coffee, and drive back in the time I was on hold), once they finally picked up, told me the vet forgot I was on the phone and just left. I brushed all this off, and booked an appointment to get my pet neutered. Once booked, I took time off work to bring him in. Trenton Pet Hospital called 2 days before his appointment and said I had to move my appointment because someone was going on vacation in April (his appointment was for 17 March), and they could no longer take my pet until 20 April. At this point, I canceled my whole account and will be taking my pet elsewhere. Save your time, money, and stress. Go somewhere else.

Yesterday, I had an emergency with my budgie. It's hard to find a vet that will take birds, let alone at the last minute, but this clinic does, and did their utmost to fit me in with such short notice. They did so in the friendliest, most considerate manner when it came to handling both Peeps and me. Contrary to what so many people unfortunately say about vets, TPH did absolutely nothing to make me feel as if all they wanted was my money. They explained everything to me, gave me options, and provided an estimate. But more than that, their kindness extended to calling twice the next day to check in on Peeps and see how she was doing. I am so grateful for how they provided their service and expertise and highly recommend them. I'm happy to say that what they did provided an answer we wouldn't have known otherwise, and that their treatment has Peeps perked up and feeling better.
19 April 2021 20:46
The staff seem to be good with the pets, but the pricing is astronomical. I have read other reviews and replies and ended up looking at the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Fee Guide for Small Animal Procedures (since this business claims to base their pricing off of it). I have had my canine in for an examination and was charged WAY more then the $96.80 examination fee that was recommended.
It's also unsettling that receipts are NOT automatically offered outling what they are billing you.you ALWAYS have to ask.
18 April 2021 12:06
The Trenton Pet Hospital is amazing. Their staff is so kind, caring and accommodating. We have been taking our pets here for the past few years and they always go above and beyond the call of duty. I love that they use techniques that most pet hospitals do not, o keep the animals calm and relaxed during their stay with them and appointments. You can see how each and everyone of their staff members are passionate about what they do, giving the best care and treatment possible for your animal. We highly recommend Trenton Pet Hospital!

Both Jack and Saul love Dr. Jinni and her staff. Thank you for taking such good care of them and their health over the last few years.
16 March 2021 15:13
Excellent and friendly service. Compassionate, caring, empathetic, lovely staff.
It was my blind rescue dog’s first visit and with the pandemic I was afraid of how she was going to handle the situation being separated, but everything was great. The staff did an excellent job. Very kind and caring staff. Dr. Jinni takes time to answer questions and explain diagnoses and procedures. She is simply great. All staff are very lovely caring and compassionate. All staff at the clinic are amazing, friendly and very helpful and very knowledgeable. They do follow up after surgery. Excellent care by an amazing team.
A small practice with a big heart! They are the only animal clinic that accepted us during the lockdown and l am extremely grateful. They offer health plans with monthly payments.
I strongly recommend them to anyone.

I decided to bring our pup to Trenton Pet Hospital from the raving reviews of a friend who is a long-time client of TPH.
I have nothing but great things to say! Our pup's first visit went smoothly, the staff made the process super easy (considering the COVID regulations), and were extremely helpful and ensured all my questions were answered. No surprise expenses, anything additional was discussed and I was not pressured on anything I did not agree to.
When it comes to rescheduling or booking appointments, it's extremely convenient via their app, and someone got back to me by the next day.
I'm happy to be a client and feel as though our girl is in great hands!

Great Veterinarian, caring and Knowledgeable staff. Clean, comfortable atmosphere. I would recommend Trenton Pet Hospital to anyone wanting 5 star care for their fur or feather baby.

The workers there are very nice and caring. I love it there and so does my dog (when he isn’t getting a needle). They always keep it clean there.
17 November 2019 8:19
Incredible location next to the river, staff are amazing and genuinely care about the well being of patients (animals), and interact very professionally with owners. The website/app for this location is a must-have. Our cat has his own little profile on the app, and we are able to order food & supplies, request medical charts, or ask questions to the staff. Highly recommend going here for your Pet needs!
28 September 2019 9:20
Trenton Pet Hospital has been my choice for pet care for many years (and we have quite a few pets). What I like about Dr. Jinni is that she always takes the time with your pet, does the necessary research and communicates in an open manner about your options if any health issues arise. The Health Plan the hospital offers is a great way to provide preventative care for your furry babies. Staff is always friendly and ready to help. One stop for all pet needs, from pet food and toys to 5 star health care.

I went to this animal hospital with my pet rats, Mia and Reily at Christmas time. It was very hard to find a vet that would take them, and was open a week before Christmas.
I recently went to a different vet that was closer, and there was a huge difference.
The vet that I saw took the time to talk to me about their care and things I could get to improve. Stuff for their teeth, as they never stop growing.
Gave me advice on draghts that was making my reily have a breathing problem. I love them to bits and I figured out how to help her at home. She examined both my rats, because I brought her sister for company. Was really amazing service, because they care. ️

Frist time there my dog got stung by a bee and they got us in right away love the feel of the place and everyone was very nice kinda on the pricey side but I didn't mind it I will definitely go there again
10 August 2019 18:36
This animal hospital responds lightning fast to any issues, with a smile and very inviting attitude. Also, my Chihuahua, Bruno, doesn't mind going either. If you have a choice, these are the guys to go to for your animals needs. One word, trust.

We have been clients of Trenton Pet Hospital for many many years. They always give us great service. We have 3 cats, and one is senior with many health challenges. When he walks into TPH, he is given a warm welcome and everyone knows him by name! They treat all of us, fur babies and myself with kindness and respect.

I have an exotic pet (a hedgehog), finding a vet that I thought would provide the best care for her was difficult at first. Once I contacted Trenton pet hospital & met the veterinarian for my hedgehog's first appointment I was sold!

Everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable, I was considered about my hedgehog's skin & they got me in ASAP and talked through all possibilities with me and made sure I was comfortable with the information given. I LOVE the atmosphere here and my hedgie loves the staff too:)

5 stars!

Amazing friendly staff who practice fear-free care. My dog has severe anxiety but loves going there. Literally - she gets excited to go to the vet!
25 May 2019 14:49
All of my dogs enjoy going to see Dr Jenni and her wonderful staff (Well except maybe Roscoe and Miro). Always a very pleasant visit. Staff are also very willing to answer any questions that you may have and take to time to ensure you understand. Recently I lost my Min Pin Hildi (she was 13 1/2) had diabetes and had gone blind. I was allowed to be with her when they started the IV lock, held and kissed her through the experience and then held my precious Hildi in my arms while Dr Jenni gave her the medication to help her across the Rainbow Bridge. I was then allowed to stay with her as long as I needed. I recommend the Trenton Pet Hospital to anyone who is looking for a pet hospital for their fur babies.
