One of the most amazing meals we’ve had, the food was so unique with ingredients we never thought could work together being phenomenal together. You can tell how experienced and talented they are because the dishes were truly art!

We had the Tuesday tasting menu. It was fabulous and a great value too. We loved the creativity, the local ingredients, and of course Benoit is awesome!

Beautiful atmosphere, amazing staff and some of the best food I've ever had. The tasting menu with the wine pairing was legitmately magical. Benoit is a wizard. If you want a special dining experience you should absolutely try Trio. Shout out to one of our waitresses, Jordyn, who took very good care of our table. Thank you Trio team for an amazing night!

I've been across most of Canada, and this is by far the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. It is upscale and pricey but so worth it. Everything other than the fish was heavenly, and the waiters were so kind. If you have the chance, try this restaurant

Had the tasting menu with my mother, the manager served us and it was the best food, service, and dining experience we’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone.

Dining at this restaurant is not just dinner, it's an experience.a journey that delights the senses. This is our second time visiting in a month and we will be back soon. The ingenuity and artistry that goes into creating these dishes is beyond my imagination. The dishes are so often flavours that I have never seen together before and the combinations just add an extra pop or zing that just dance in my mouth. The cocktails are next level and there seems to be a new one every time we go. I love the open kitchen and watching Mike and all the kitchen staff creating and plating the delectable dishes! The wagyu melts in your mouth and the duck is absolutely the best I have ever tasted! And Benoit, the Restaurant Manager, is beyond amazing right from his warm and welcoming greeting, his plate descriptions, his cheerful, perfectly timed and gracious service to the finishing touches and the Bonne Soirée. This is definitely "our go to place" for fine dining.

The food is delicious. The service is great. The restaurant is fine. They have these weird bars that serve an aesthetic purpose, I imagine, but they just look like a jail cell. But really, I could look past that if they'd just dim the lights. It's so bright! Get candles or something! So. Bright. Otherwise, great restaurant.

Absolutely amazing experience at the restaurant, Benoit and the rest of the staff were incredible and the food was unique and delicious.

Definitely a great experience that I would highly recommend everyone try for a special occasion.

The wagu beef was delicious and the personalized mock tails were a lot of fun and also delicious.

The restaurant has a really cool vibe.

My cousin and I frequent Trio for their ever changing tasting menu! They happily accommodated me being pescatarian & provide nothing but the best food & service wise. I dream about that focaccia bread with the shallot butter daily

I can’t not say enough about this place! Going to Trio has become our new anniversary tradition because we are always so pleasantly surprised by the food. Love the tasting menu! The food is always so flavourful and presented so beautifully. They do such a great job with the wine pairings! All of the staff are incredibly nice and Benoit is the absolute best! He’s so charismatic and does a really good job taking us on a journey with the food and wine.
Would definitely recommend for a quality fine dining experience and we sure will be going again!

This was the best dinner I've had in the Waterloo Region. We enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairings. Every single dish was meticulously prepared and presented. It was mouthwatering and perfection. I cannot say enough about the experience. The ambiance is so pleasant and relaxed yet the food is high end. Service is very important to us.and it was perfect. Thank you to Benoit whose passion and expertise in wine took our evening to another level. In fact every single server was pleasant and welcoming. I cannot wait to go back. Just.wow.

Great food made by amazing people. Staff and chefs were very friendly and inviting. Clear to see that they care about the work they put into what they do. Would recommend Trio Restaurant for anyone looking for a nice meal with a good atmosphere.

Absolutely fantastic meal! There were six of us and we all ordered different items and we all thought they were terrific. Service was friendly, polished, and efficient.
Be prepared to spend some time, as each meal is cooked to order and at peak times can mean a bit of a wait. Worth it though.
Seating is comfortable, plenty of room at and between tables. Can be noisy when busy.

OVERPRICED AND HORRIBLE SERVICE! Me and my wife waited for 2 and a half hours for our meal and our waiter seemed to forget we were dining in and didn’t seem apologetic in the slightest.good was pretty good but i’d never pay close to $300 for this experience again.

I saved for half a year to do the tasting menu at Trio, and I was not disappointed. This was by far the most expensive meal I have ever paid for. Dinner for 2 with drinks and tip came to $450. Do I regret spending it? Not at all.

The first thing they brought us was fresh made focaccia with shallot butter and white pepper. The outside was so crisp and inside was pillow soft. I was absolutely the best bread I have ever tasted in my life. It was a real wake up call for all my senses and got me ready for what was to come next.

The first course was a play on devilled eggs, but the filling was a smoked salmon mousse topped with fish row and dill. It was cute and flavourful and the smokiness really mellowed the dish after the initial first bite of fishiness and made the whole bite come together.

The second course was roasted squash with harissa (one of my favorite spice blends!) and yoghurt mousse, sesame, and pickled onions. The squash was lucious and roasted wonderfully and paired so well with the harissa and sesame. I only wish there was a bit more of the squash as it got a little lost under the powerful flavours of all that accompanied it.

My least favorite dish was the mackerel course. I find mackerel too strong in general, but here it was paired with kimchi and fresh cucumber which were bright and flavourful.

The second fish course was arctic char with roast endive, béchamel sauce, roast cauliflower and a potato fried somewhere between a hashbrown and coquette. I had never had arctic char before and loved it's milder flavour. The roast endive was a real revelation for me. It was so sweet and delicious and paired really well. The potato was very decadent and comforting.

The main course was 21 day aged duck breast with roast beets, pickled fig, puffed quinoa and hazel nuts in a port sauce. It was absolutely incredible. The skin of the duck was perfectly crisp, and the meat perfectly cooked. I have always hated beets, having had a bad experience with them as a youth, but these beets changed my mind. They were just the right amount of earthy and paired well with the goats cheese and port sauce. The puffed quinoa and hazelnuts added playful texture. The fig was pickled in apple vinegar and cardamon and reminded me of really good apple butter. It was the highlight of a dish where every element was absolute excellent.

The first dessert was a play on creamsicle with blood orange sorbet, coconut milk icecream with coconut tuile and micro basil leaves. Each element was tasty, but when they all came together it was playful and surprising hitting all the awesome childhood memories of creamsicle in a very adult and thoughtful dish.

Second dessert was gingerbread soaked in molasses, covered by a substantial chocolate mousse, a tempered dark chocolate disk, maple icecream and pickled apple. It was another fun dessert to explore and see how the different elements played together.

Throughout the meal the service was excellent and the atmosphere was the perfect balance of fancy and relaxed. I enjoyed myself immensely. This is a restaurant I will likely not be able to afford again any time soon, but will be thinking about and dreaming of for some time.

My boyfriend and I came to the Argentinian tasting night tonight. This was really exiting for me because as an Argentinian who hasn’t been back home for a couple years I don’t get to enjoy authentic food from my country without making it myself or going to my parents house. I came two week ago and had a fantastic time with Benoit as my server, who is also one of the managers at Trio. When I told him I was Argentinian and planning on coming to the Argentinian tasting night he made sure to put my reservation under his care and when I came again with my boyfriend he took care of us again! Not only he is a great server with an amazing and friendly personality but he is also very passionate and knowledgeable of his menu and about wines. He shared with me his thought process when crafting the Argentinian tasting night, explained all the dishes to me and how they paired with the wines and checked on us several times throughout the evening as he was curious to see how authentic his menu was. Now going to the food, in short everything was amazing. Benoit and his team managed to make the meals I had everyday as a child taste sophisticated and elegant without losing the authenticity, comfort and flavours that I think about when I think about Argentinian food. Each wine pairing was above and beyond and enhanced the experience. Benoit also selected the wines to pair the menu himself and you could tell he carried a lot of humble pride about it when I expressed my satisfaction with the selections. Best evening I’ve had at a restaurant in my life by far, nothing was short of perfect. I’m exited to come again once it’s possible for me again! I want to personally thank Benoit for everything, it felt life I got to go home again finally and I’ve been really homesick lately so it really means a lot!
