Trofí Restaurant

This is a semi Greek/shawerma place, with no attractive vibe, cheap tables, no towel wrap cutlery, and no proper plating. On top of all, the rice was under cooked, a cheap basmati rice, rather be a good parboiled rice as other Greek restaurants, and very pricey food. I was expecting to be treated as a gust eating at a higher end restaurant with that price. The beet salad contains chunky beets on a bed of feta cheese and a little green leafs and no taste for pomegranate vinaigrette dressing. The Hummus plate contains burnt meat pieces mostly likely they’re left over from their rotating grill. No tongue to serve fries, and we have to share it with our hand. All servings plates were picked up after our firth appetizer and we have to eat our fries off the bowel, four hands were going to one bowel of fries like we were in Saudi Arabia and eating a share plate by hand.
One time and last time visit to this place and we paid $272 for 4 people while we could have a prefect meal at KEGS for the same price with much better food, service and a better vibe. A best of luck to the operator.

Can't wait to go back. Food was amazing. Calamari is the best! So fresh! Lamb chops were to die for too! Staff was so wonderful and pleasant as well.

Our experience was disappointing! Maybe they were having an off night? I was surprised since the reviews are so high. We had amazing appetizers (calamari, cauliflower, tzatziki, pita), however there was no warmth or attentiveness from the server. There were several small details missed that accumulated then a miscommunication and issue with our main course, which was overall really off-putting and unappetizing, we did not want to stay or eat the main course after the food went back and forth from the kitchen, it was bizarre. The lack of attention to detail and lacklustre service is the reason we will not be back.

Phenomenal Greek cuisine for a celebration or a date night. Everything on the menu was stellar - we stuck with the most popular dishes: the calamari, kataifi shrimp, the souvlaki brochette, and baklava vanilla ice cream. Service was excellent as well, would definitely come back!

Great quality food, fresh flavors and exceptional service all in a very nice atmosphere. Leo was an awesome server and very helpful.

Calamari (5/5)
-the best calamari I've ever had
-very tender and tasty crispy batter
-nice BIG and thick calamari pieces, they buy the whole squid and butcher it on site
-grilled lemon takes it to a whole other level
-tziziki to dip is a flavor bomb

Halloumi (4.6/5)
-cheese with accompaniments goes great all together
- very flavorful without too much salt

Mary's fattoush salad (4/5)
- a little bit too much dressing
- nice flavor and fresh ingredients

Lamb and chicken souvlaki brochette (4.4/5)
-large portion
-very flavorful meats, lamb was slightly dry but had an incredibly enjoyable gamey flavor
-veggies were perfectly cooked and had a nice smokey flavor
-Rice was good but slightly overcooked

Vanilla creme Brule (4.7/5)
-thick, rich and not too sweet
-real vanilla bean added a nice smooth, light vanilla flavor, which went well with the custard

Wonderful food! Great espresso martinis, AMAZING calamari, great lamb/chicken souvlaki with delicious vegetables (and an enormous portion), and tasty dips. Some of the best food I’ve had in Ottawa.

Hands down our favorite restaurant in Ottawa! Also is halal which is a huge bonus! Highly recommend

Trofi is definitely a must in Ottawa! The food is amazing, the service is excellent and quick and our waitress was so sweet. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Came as a large group for a birthday party and the food was amazing! I highly recommend the steak, it was perfectly cooked to our liking, soft and flavourful. A few other dishes that were delicious was the halloumi salad, hummus royal and seafood boil. My only feedback would be to ask for the scallops not well done but besides that the ambience was great and service was friendly and assertive.

Food was super bad delicious. One of the best Greek cuisine ever tasted in Ottawa. Too bad that the Restaurant is too noisy n has to raise one's voice to be heard

Delicious! Love the atmosphere, the flavours were amazing and portion is well worth it. We got the grilled halloumi, hummus royale and lamb souvlaki brochette. For dessert we got the baklava ice cream which was delicious.

Really great atmosphere! We had the Greek fries (great portion) & halloumi to start, I had a chicken/shrimp souvlaki, but I heard the beef & lamb were also delicious! Portion size was good & the service was really great! Definitely recommend the baklava icecream!

Awesome experience at Trofi. Had the kofta and lamb souvlaki. Both were amazing but kofta was the better of the two. We had the hummus Royale as appetizers and it was very delicious. Large portions so the two plates were more than enough for my husband and I. The drinks were also very tasty. Would love to go back to try the lamb chops.

The service was fabulous. The food was amazing. Needless to say highly recommend this place to anyone. We highly appreciate the waitress going out her way to get us desert. Just awesome.

My second time here, this evening I had Pilard as a server, she was absolutely the best! Super amazing. Food was delicious. We had a bit of everything from the menu, lamb, chicken, falafel, beets and goat cheese salad, feta fries, seafood broil (wasn't worth the price honestly)

We loved this place! The decor and music are fun; the vibes were great. The food was delicious; truly some of the best we’ve had recently! We had the calamari to start which was super crispy, and also a great portion to share. We tried a few of the slouvaki options for the mains and it was also delicious. Great portion size, flavourful meats and veggies. The crispy Greek potatoes are also a must! Service was top notch. Attentive but not overbearing, and super friendly. Highly recommend this spot.

Nice concept of the typical greek takeout menus with a twist to be made for dine in experience instead. Food is made to be a little more upscale and presented well and its pretty good, service is okay- place is a little small so try to get a reservation. However considering the take out option is greek on wheels the price for this can make it a little overrated. I still enjoy it though when wanting to go out for greek food but still have a drink with friends!

It was a fantastic experience to dine here! The interior is beautifully designed and provides a cozy and relaxing atmosphere to dine in. The staff are knowledgeable, attentive, and are so genuinely nice. You can tell they love their jobs.
As for the food, I would give it six stars if I could. Presentation was beautiful and the healthy Mediterranean balance of food was perfect. The flavours were incredible from the appetizers to the mains to the dessert. Highly recommend!

We went today for the first time and I loved it, the food is delicious, they have a good variety of dishes, amazing service, our waiter was so nice and attentive, we are totally coming back! 100% recommended

Highly recommend trofi we went for my sister in laws early bday dinner we had Calamari best we all ever had my brother in law is a chef and said it was the best he ever had we had 3 dips the olive fig one and hummus and the chesse one it was so good.

We had sea food boil an sis in law had lamb chops she said it was soo good we will be going back for our staff Xmas party

My wife went to Trofi with a friend a few weeks ago and was very disappointed. They used to include Fries with your meal but now they are asking for $3 more. If you pay $30 for a Souvlaki dinner that Shawrama Prince or other Shawarma places charge $21 for and include fries. I will never return to this restaurant since it appears they are price gouging because they are busy. Their Liquor prices are crazy-$18 for a cocktail? Really -that is what you pay at a high end restaurant which Trofi is not.

Delicious food and great service. Started with an order of calamari, nicely fried, light and crispy. Ordered a couple of drinks and some chicken souvlakis, chicken was nice, tender, and juicy.

We called in for a same day reservation. Not only were the staff accommodating and clear about being able to squeeze us in for an hour (table was reserved after), but they also ensured we were good on time and openly communicated that we instead had 90 minutes as soon as they found out.

Besides accommodation, the service was outstanding; professional, attentive and prompt.

Now for the food. Probably the best fried calamari I have ever had. The chicken and shrimp souvlaki were amazing.

10/10 all around experience.
