My sister and I took some of our late father’s rings to be resized and cleaned to keep them in use rather than sitting in a box.
From the moment we walked in, Alex was an exceptional salesperson! We were given great sizing recommendations and a thorough explanation of the work that would be carried out. I was also given a quick turnaround for my pieces which I appreciated as I was flying back to the UK to continue my studies.
Alex also showed us some rings while we were waiting and let us try some on even though we were not there to purchase any new jewelry which was extremely nice!
Alex personally communicated with us via WhatsApp and sent us before and after photos that reflected the high quality work that was carried out on all of our pieces. I also felt that the prices were incredibly reasonable for the time and effort from everyone involved.
Coming to True Bijoux was unlike any purchasing experience I have ever had and you can tell the team are passionate and really love the work they do. Alex was an exceptionally bright light in a difficult time and I will be recommending True Bijoux to anyone who needs any kind of jewelry service until the end of time!

I had an awful experience two years ago with True Bijoux that left me disappointed and frustrated. I went into the store and requested to purchase a specific PAIR of earrings for my mother-in-law, as I had seen them online beforehand. However, when I arrived home I noticed the pair of earrings I'd purchased was actually just one sole earring. I went right back to the store where I was informed that the price I paid was for a single earring, not a complete pair. When I requested a refund, True Bijoux refused and tried to justify their actions by claiming that buying one earring was a style choice. Their refusal to rectify their mistake and their misleading behavior, coupled with their failure to properly adhere to COVID-19 safety measures, left a negative impression. If you choose to shop here watch out when dealing with the staff at True Bijoux.
Under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, True Bijoux's actions may be in violation of the implied warranty provisions and unfair practices regulations. Customers are entitled to remedies if goods do not meet the agreed-upon specifications or if unfair practices occur. It is advisable to review the Act's specific requirements and consult with a legal professional for further guidance in seeking redress.

An exceptional experience!
We walked into True Bijoux with some of our late Father's jewelry and a vintage diamond ring we found at the bottom of his sock drawer. We had learned of them and their vintage expertise through @amyin613 (instagram).
Alex spent considerable time with us and helped us decide what the plan was for my Father's pieces, and the diamond ring. He was extremely personable and truly genuine - I was in awe of his passion for jewelry and his customer service skills were beyond 5 stars.
Alex provided recommendations on resizing the pieces of my Father's, for my sister to now wear, and even offered to clean and detangle his gold chain at no cost. He had a watch that had considerable wear, and Alex was honest about the fact that True Bijoux does not specialize in watches and recommended their sister store, Howards.
Regarding the diamond ring, I chose to completely restore it and re-size so I could wear it. As it was likely a family heirloom piece whose origins were a bit of a mystery, Alex provided insight on how old he thought it was, how long it was worn, the metals, etc, and also noted that the ring had been resized at some point with gold mixed with a low-grade metal. His expertise was wonderful and you could tell he was so passionate about jewelry and the unique work True Bijoux does; they have a goldsmith, Heather, who trained in Europe, works with her hands on each piece using old world methods as opposed to mechanical/automated work. Alex brought her over and asked for her insights and we made a plan.
Weeks later, we picked up our pieces. My ring honestly looks brand new. The details they improved made a huge difference. I felt the pricing was very fair - I had the ring completely re-shanked, all of the pieces holding in the diamonds fixed (repointed), and the piece polished. It retained its vintage charm and authenticity, but with the integrity to now survive being on my finger without the band breaking or diamonds falling out.
Alex kept me in the loop the whole time - he let me know when the piece was complete, he sent me via text very cool before and after photos, and remembered me and my sister from over a month beforehand. Every staff member we encountered was lovely and friendly.
I got my engagement ring at People's years ago, and don't get me wrong I do love it, but the pieces - and the experience - at True Bijoux make me wish I had gone there and purchased something with them.
Do not hesitate to go there, even just to check them out. I felt zero pressure from any of the staff and they were welcoming and so helpful.

I had been calling around for quotes for ring restoration, and True Bijoux instantly stood out because of Alex's kindness over the phone. The pride flag on their Instagram page and on the door of the shop were also very meaningful to us.
We booked an appointment with Lindsay to discuss restoring my grandmother's engagement ring, which had been in storage for 2 decades. She gave a preliminary evaluation and then sent the ring to be properly restored and appraised by their Gemologist, Jennifer. Throughout the entire process Lindsay was incredibly communicative, honest with her recommendations, and happy to explain each step of the process. As someone who is very inexperienced with jewelry or luxury items, this was important! In the end we received a family heirloom in incredible condition, looking better than new and perfectly fitted to my fiancée.

I can’t say enough about the team atTrue Bijoux. I trusted them with a redesign of a ring. Alex helped me with a design and continued to communicate with me throughout the process. Alex and Heather created a beautiful piece that I love. I was reassured during the process with pictures of the new design and much to my surprise, I got to try on a wax version to confirm size and design. Such a pleasant experience. I love my ring. True Bijoux resized an estate art deco ring for me. It looks and fits great. The customer service was next level: Alex provided a very helpful initial consultation and I was pleasantly surprised to see he sent a personalized text message with ‘before’ photos, making me feel a lot better about leaving the ring with a stranger. He texted to let me know it was ready to pick-up early, and shared high quality ‘after’ photos. The price was reasonable for the amount of work, which their goldsmith Heather did an amazing job on. I will definitely return to them with future projects.
