True North Sports Camps

My son who is not from the area and very shy did 1 week of soccer camp at Forest Hill location. He let me know though he didn't know anyone the coaches never made him feel left out. He felt comfortable, learnt more about soccer and had fun.

My son has participated in indoor winter clinics, spring programs and summer camps - he always has a great time! The coaches are fantastic. They know how to make the programs so fun for the kids, while actually teaching new skills.

Our 5 year old son had a fabulous time at multi-sport camp! Enjoyed every minute, loved learning new sports and games and made fast friends. The coaches were very nice, helpful and really engaged with the kids. Would do it again!

My son had an amazing week at True North Sports Camp (flag football) and we are looking forward to returning later this summer. The coaches are well trained and make the environment fun, positive, and instructional! My son learned a lot about football. The support and encouragement of staff bolstered his confidence!

My son had a really positive experience at the flag football camp. He over his time there, learned great skills, had lots of camp and loved his counselors! I definitely recommend this camp to families who are looking for a fun-filled sporty experience.

Very unhappy with their ambiguous and unclear policies, and will definitely not send my kids there again. Their own policy states that if the camp is cancelled due to inclement weather 2 or more days (which happened), that they will offer credit for those 2 days. Nowhere does it state that the credit is NOT a refund, but a chance to use their camp another time. So if you never use it again, there's $150 down the drain. That's extremely frustrating. The wording of their policy would not stand up in court, but who has time for that, right? This is probably what they are banking on. Pretty sad and disappointing.

My kids absolutely loved this camp - they just finished 2 weeks there. The counsellors were amazing, so engaging and energetic. Kids made new friends and loved the activities and have already asked if they can attend True North for 4 weeks next summer. We will definitely be back.

Camp councillors at Tru North were great. Our son loved the multi sport camp and had an amazing experience and met great little friends!

My 9 year old daughter just completed her week long Baseball camp at Glenview. She had a great week and her councillors were very enthusiastic and positive. They kept the campers busy despite uncooperative weather conditions (heat warnings and lots of rain!). Overall she had a really fun time and I felt that she learned a lot in a short period of time.

The folks at True North Sports Camp are a pleasure to work with. I've been assisting them as supplier for their uniforms for quite a few years and I truly enjoy working with them every season. The staff are extremely professional and excellent to communicate with.

I would highly recommend The True North Camps. My son spent 3 weeks this summer and was very happy to be there. I am myself very satisfied with the coordinating stuff which helped me to resolve issues on the prompt and very friendly, professional manner!

My 4 year old daughter had her first True North Sports Camp experience this summer and she is loving it! The staff are so organized, friendly and professional. They were able to calm down her first day nerves and within seconds of arrival she went running off happily without looking back. She is having the best time and is so proud to show off her new skills at the end of every day. We cannot wait to return next summer! Highly recommend!

Not a great camp for a young camper. My 6 year old son did not feel overly welcome at this camp compared to other camps he attended this summer. I ended up staying for an hour and a half because he was latched onto me and the staff suggested I stay with him until he felt comfortable. We spent the first 15 minutes (after the camp started) sitting on the grass waiting for two more campers to arrive to his group.
The washroom is a fair distance away at the Avenue Road location and I accompanied my son, about 15 other campers and two counsellors on this journey which was across the field and on the second floor of an unlocked school. Once the campers used the facilities and met back in the hall the counsellors realized they had no idea how many campers they brought with them and was unsure if all the girls had returned from the washroom. I called to speak to a lady at head office and she was able to refund most of my money (after she spoke to her manager). I would definitely not recommend the multi-sport camp. The staff was not trained well to deal with young campers. The website also does not reflect what goes on at the camp.

What an amazing camp experience! Justin and coach Dave are absolutely amazing!
Aside from improved technique and skill, my son had so much fun! Water day Friday! Beach day! Even on rainy days, this camp is by far the best!

My children attended the True North Basketball camp at Glenview PS in Toronto this August.

This is an incredibly staffed and well-run program. The coaching staff facilitate activities and work with diligence, respect, care and enthusiasm with all children. Additionally, parents are put at-ease via the terrific leadership of the senior staff.

Over the two-week period that my children attended this program, I heard daily expressions of praise, fondness and respect for their instructors, with particular emphasis on Head Instructor Rico. Never have they been so effusive in their praise for a staff member, It was heartening to hear.

Competence, integrity and an enthusiastic professionalism are clearly put on display at True North Basketball Camp. Highly recommend.

My son loves True North Sports Camps! The staff are amazing and the program is phenomenal! This is our third summer and the staff always greet my son with wide open arms and remember him from year to year! He looks forward going to True North Sports Camps every summer (and loves the programs during the year)! The camp is very professionally run and the programming is always incredible. The staff are so well trained and educated in sports. It is such a well rounded sports program! We highly recommend this program!

After a great experience with the spring instructional league, our 9 year old grandson attended the full week of baseball camp at Memorial Park. It’s a truly holistic development camp based on healthy and constructive positive reinforcement ensuring the campers are engaged, learning and having fun! The coaches and staff are INCREDIBLE and it’s clear they love what they do! Very professionally run!

My son attended baseball camp for the first time this summer with True North Sports Camps (Week 4, Memorial Park). He LOVED it and asked to go back next year. The counsellors always greeted him by name and seemed to me to be very camper-centred. Every time I came to pick him up, he was engaged in some activity with a counsellor while waiting for pick up.
