I bought a nice Rega Elex r online from Trutone in December last year. Fast delivery! Upon no fault of their own and not the products fault, the left channel stopped working. I called and spoke to a nice gentleman who told me to bring it in and said they would send it out for repair. I decided to drive down and drop it off in person. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Jeff even took me for a tour of their store. Absolutely amazing!

I will let you know how the repair work and everything else invloved went. So far, so good!

Update:

My Rega amp was repaired quickly by the Rega repair dealer. It was covered under warranty and it was returned promptly. The Rega company and the staff members at Trutone offer a service that is second to none! I would highly recommend anyone and everyone deal with Trutone if you are looking to deal with an excellent company that offer excellent service and excellent products!

Another update:

The amp is acting up so I called Trutone and Robert was excellent to deal with. They are working on solving the issue promptly and though it's not his fault, he apologized for the inconvenience.

Jeff looks after all my analogue & digital needs. Jeff educated me and set me up with top of the line Arcam AVR, Blu-ray, Bryston Dac, headphone amp & Audioquest line conditioner. Samsung 65" SUHD HDR wth Audioquest cabling throughout and educated me on computer audio and created a network for me wth Pakedge switches, router, NAS & Wifi. Recently added a Sonos set-up as well. These guys are passionate professionals and pride themselves in great customer service. I highly recommend a visit to Trutone and speak with one of the team for all your audiophile needs.

We recently purchased a Victrola Stream turntable from Trutone. Their service was excellent and as this is a new, hard to get product and we live in Alberta, the unit had to be shipped. We dealt with Ahmet who looks after their online sales and he was fantastic. He kept us up to date on timing, answered all of our questions and actually cared that we received good service.

I highly recommend Trutone and would order from them again in a heartbeat!

I live in London and was referred to Trutone by a relative. The service has been outstanding. On my first visit I spoke with Will and he took all the time I needed to answer my initial questions. I later dealt with Robert and he could not have been more helpful. We dealt mostly over text and he was always prompt with his responses. I will definitely be going back.

Picture this, three salesmen, empty showroom, all chatting and laughing amongst themselves not even acknowledging customers walking through the door. After almost 15 mins. We walked up to ask a question. One of the pompous arrogant guys says “do you actually know what you’re looking for? Do you know what you’re doing? ”
We took our business elsewhere.

Good bunch of guys. You've gotta love Luis and Nick. I had a delivery issue which they were very good about rectifying in the end.

Nice group of guys, treated me like garbage. Bought a $4000 turntable from them a year ago. Realized after that year that they hadn’t set the table up properly and there was an issue with arm lifting mechanism. After trying to pawn it off on the manufacturer (which they’ve done a few times now) the reluctantly suggested I bring it in.
A few days after I called them, and learned it was done.the mechanism was fixed and the cartridge had been tightened (guess we forgot to tighten the screws) I went to pick it up.
Get it home and while the primary lifting mechanism issue was fixed, the whole thing now didn’t work. Drove back and dropped it off.
I called back again after a few days (seeing a theme here? They had my table for over 2 weeks and I only ever got one call) I phoned them, all done. Just about to leave get a call back.oh, not done we wanna talk to the manufacturer.we’ve sent them an email.
At no point did the manufacturer call them back or respond to them. I called the manufacturer and got the solution (By the way Bryston is great) which was to send the table to another service centre. They did that.and again I heard NOTHING. So I called the other service provider had a great experience with them (who complained to me about Trutone as well) and found out what was wrong, what had been fixed (one of the things I had told Trutone was never communicated.he found it himself) and that it was ready. Waited a few hours, called Trutone and they said they had no idea what was going on with it (the guy from the other service centre made it clear he had communicated with them) or when I would be able to get it.
So, I went and got it.
I haven’t heard a word from Trutone and won’t.
These guys make their money selling Tv’s and stuff.but all in all one of the most disappointing experiences ever. And it’s too bad.

Great service, took an old turntable in to get a new stylus but motor is old and not worth getting new stylus.

I wouldn't recommend Trutone for online ordering. I had placed an online order - fully paid for. After not hearing anything about it being shipped, I emailed them 2 weeks after the order was placed and did not receive a response. I then phoned only to find out the product was back-ordered and they had no knowledge of when they would receive it. They then promptly refunded my money.
I could have been waiting for that order for a very long time if I hadn't phoned them.
It may be a great store in person, but their customer support for online orders was nonexistent in my case.

These guys are not sales people true Audio enthusiasts. No pressure sales just great adviser. Bill worked with me to put together an amazing system high recommended.

Contacted Trutone through their website and spoke to Paul. One phone call and an hour drive later I've got one of the only models of this tv (LG 48CX) available in the country. Met Paul at the door and he helped load it into my truck. A + + +

I placed an online order for a product they didn't have in stock and they also didn't know when they would. It's bad practice to not update your inventory, as many of these issues can be avoided. I'm not giving a 1 start review because they seemed like a friendly group of guys and refunded my order right away.

I have been purchasing all my entertainment electronics from Trutone for the last 9 years. They have always met my expectations by providing in-depth product knowledge and providing insight to help me make right decisions on my purchases.

However this time they surpassed my expectations thru their exceptional service.

I bought a 75 inch Samsung QN75QDTAFXZC from Jeff Lacey (Sales Person) and when I opened the box at home, I found a slight damage in the back which is called as concealed damage as it was a brand new sealed box.

I immediately reported to Jeff. He asked me to follow picture guidelines and requested me to send those pictures to him via email. I did that immediately and he started the process with Samsung Canada Sales.

Due to COVID, there was a delay in response from Samsung and when I complained about it. Jeff involved his Store Manager (Robert, a manager extraordinaire). Robert took the matter in his hands and got the replacement TV available within 5 days and he also threw in a Bluetooth speaker as a gift for the delay (which was actually not at their fault, it was a delay from the TV company).

I cant thank enough Robert and Jeff for their exceptional service and rewarding my loyalty.

A big shout-out to Robert and Jeff:). Readers, these folks and Trutone are the best in business in GTA.

Walked into TruTone randomly one afternoon with an old record player I inherited. Truly an awesome group of dudes who are passionate about vinyl, sound and electronics; Robert, Jeff and Paul are cool to talk to. They looked over my turntable and determined what it would cost to repair, but it just wasn’t worth the investment. In good faith they offered me a great deal on a turntable that I couldn’t pass up.and now I’m part of the TruTone family and they’re a part of mine. Thanks guys!

Ordered an amplifier from them one week ago, still not shipped yet. No response either for online chat or email.

We bought our Sony TV here 4 years ago and the staff are still willing to help us whenever we call with questions, taking time on the phone to diagnose the issue and offer tips and advice. Jeff Lacy in particular is a TV savant - always willing to help. Unlike the big box stores, the staff are really knowledgeable and take the time to educate you. It's the way all retailers should do business! Treating customers like customers!

Visited them today to get some entry level B&W speakers.
I was met by a manager called Paul, friendly and knowledgeable guy. I don't like to go into details, but that person is true professional in his business and it was a pleasure to speak with him.

In addition, I was given a small extra discount for a showroom unit, which is also nice.

I purchased the Seura TV Mirror (and two matching mirrors) for our master ensuite bathroom from Trutone. I can't begin to express my overwhelming appreciation for the service level delivered from Robert Hoinkes who went to the moon and back for us in planning out this amazing project. Robert coordinated everything from initial consultation, supplier ordering, site visit and final installation. The installers Ronel and Blair made on site recommendations, and completed the job to perfection (including a spot less clean up). In this day and age, you would be hard pressed to find service levels of this calibre. Do yourself a favour and contact this team for all your electronic needs!

We've been familiar with Trutone Electronics for over 40 years. They have been excellent in their knowledge of the latest technology. A great experience compared to the big box stores and the online sites. Good price comparison as well.
