I gone for massage today the receptionist booked me for one massage therapist and confirm with me in mail but when I go there another massage therapist massage me which was not good

This place is amazing! The environment is so zen and tranquil. The staff there are very professional and respectful. I had a 45 minute therapeutic massage and it was so relaxing, will be returning!

So far been there 3 times, 2 for massage and once for acupuncture. Massages were effective in reducing stiffness and pain, the acupuncture was not effective for me.

I will preface this by saying that the RMT's at this 'spa' are all professional and excellent at their jobs

My wife and I have been coming to this place for a couple of years and in 2022 my wife and I had a combined spent $2,330 on RMT services here.of this, we have a portion covered through our benefits.

Each time we call to make a reservation, they tell us that an 18% gratuity will be added to the total and between the two of us. That amounts to nearly $40 of tip when we both go.

I made the decision that I would call and make another reservation but this time I would let them know that we will opt out of the "optional but strongly recommended" tip. The front desk let me know that they had no appointments available for our date and they would put us on a wait list if something opened up. I agreed but they never called me again. I have since tried to call this place a dozen times over the last 2 months from both my wife and my cell and they seem to have silently black listed us. They never answer the phone and have never called us back.

Previously, when we were paying our tips, they would call me back within an hour of a missed call. They would go above and beyond to book us in and I never had to wait more than an hour for them to return my call.

Looking at their reviews, I was surprised to see that there was another case of "silent blacklisting" after refusing a tip.and others have argued that you should not need to tip an RMT as you would not tip your chiropractor or dental hygienist or any other health related service. Should you choose to tip your RMT that's totally fine but this business makes it a requirement in order to access their services.whoever is responding to the negative reviews has a history of justifying their behaviour and making excuses for the poor business practices.

It is a real shame that they are operating in this manner and my wife and I are happy to take our massage coverage elsewhere. We have made a monthly visit to this place but fortunately there are many other RMT's to choose from in Markham and we will definitely be taking our business elsewhere.

Amazing place for relaxation! The reception staff is super friendly and accommodating! The masseuses are amazing at what they do as well! My boyfriend and I had an amazing couples massage. The spa is extremely clean and relaxing. Highly recommend this place!

It's a nice spa in North Markham - my RMT is really good at getting the pressure points and the rooms are nice and clean, but three things prevent it from being perfect:
- the foot massage area feels a bit too open, I feel like it's unavoidable making eye contact when you are at the counter paying, so it is hard to be fully relaxed there
- they add a tip by default, and the prices are over what my insurance provider deems as "standard", so I cannot claim the full amount
- the bed sheets used for the massage table seem to have a lot of static electricity

Massage was good along with the ambiance but
they added a gratuity charge to the recipient of a gift certificate package i purchased for.

After their massage, the receptionist insisted on a gratuity charge which forced us to pay an additional $30 on top of the gift certificate.

What’s the point of purchasing a gift certificate for someone just for them to pay after?

I do not mind paying for the gratuity along with the gift certificate, but please let your customers know.

I had a wonderful experience during my first visit. The place is so clean and neat! People are nice and friendly all the time! I feel so relax after the massage. A warm tea at the end of the service made my heart warm and full of happiness.

Love the professional skills they have and great atmosphere in that cozy place. Will definitely go again!

No one answer the call all the time. Poor communication and follow up service. Very disappointing.

I was booking a couple massage for Valentine's day celebration. However, there was no one answering the call, then I left a massage but it took a day to reply. At last, I talked to the staff and they said there was a empty spot, so I crossed check with my wife about our availability and reply as soon as possible. BUT NO ONE pick up the call, so I left the message that I wanted to reserve that spot right away.

However, they replied me a day after and said the spot were taken! What's the point of leaving a message if there was no one following up your message?

Very clean and elegant place. My massage was great! I asked for a general relaxation. My muscle tension was definitely addressed!

Definitely not worth the price point. It's the size of a broom closet with no amenities, no robes or change room and they actually pre-charge you a mandatory 15% service fee before your treatment even starts.

My partner and I went for a 75 minute couples hot stone massage. It was the most relaxing and incredible experience. We were able to be in the same room and have the session at the same time. The RMTs were amazing, peaceful and so knowledgeable. They asked questions before beginning and we left soothed and relaxed. We actually ended up sleeping for 12 hours that night!

Annie and Yan Jiao were an absolute delight! My wife and I received a hot stone massage from them, along with a head and scalp massage, followed by some reflexology.

Their techniques were soothing, yet firm. Some pain at times, as the pressure got deep into our tissue. Overall, a pleasant experience.

I have been to several spas all over Canada and know exactly what a Swedish massage is. What I asked for when booking was Swedish massage, but the lady (who was very nice though), probably had no idea how to do a Swedish massage and was just putting random pressures on my back and neck, shaking me here and there and was playing with my hands and fingers (at one point it was so painful when she was doing some wired kind of massage on my fingers). Or when she was massaging my legs, it was more like she was tickling me. So, to be fare, even if it was not a basic massage you that I could find somewhere else for a less price, it was definitely not a Swedish massage. There was really nothing special about it. The spa itself was a small cozy clean place though and the costumer service was nice too. So everyone was smiling at my face, but none of them, not even the place and costumer service, do not compensate for the massage itself. We don’t pay to receive smiles, we pay to receive good massage. Last thing to note here is that I booked for 45 minutes (10: 00 to 10: 45am). Right before laying down I checked my phone and it was 10: 02, and after the lady finished massaging me and left the room, I checked my phone again and it was 10: 41. So not only she did not finish at 10: 45, but she massaged me for only, let’s say, 40 minutes (5 minutes short). I am saying this, cause most other spas in Toronto charge the same price for 50 minutes. This spa charged me almost the same price (they charged me a mandatory tip which they call service charge) for 45 minutes, but then did not hold on to that duration either. All in all, it was a naive experience. I do not really recommend them, unless you book yourself for something else, not a Swedish massage, and if they do not cut the massage time.

Took my husband here for a massage for father's day. The place is clean and modern, love that they have water, candies, and clean cups for guest in the sitting area. I also appreciated that they gave a jasmine green tea to my husband after the massage. My husband enjoyed his relaxing and effective message by the RMT- Linda. He said she was really good. I didn't give it a 5 star because I thought that one of the receptionist (there were 2), can be more welcoming and smiley, I just didn't think she was that friendly.

This Wellness Spa is a hidden treasure, a very professional therapeutic massage. I had really bad lower back pain and hand pain from a bad accident and the professionals here helped provide comfort, relief and improve my flexibility. The staff are knowledgeable and can sense where the tension build up is and even help stretch out your muscles. Really nice deep tissue massage. At the end you get a nice tasty tea! I like it at least. Great value and worth the drive if not from this area. Highly recommend!

The frontdesk staff were nice, but I was pretty disappointed by everything else. I've been home for a few hours and I still feel tense and there are still knots in my neck. Also absolutely ridiculous how they do forced 15% gratuity and a 'service fee'. Definitely will not be going back and may happy with the treatment I received.

First time going here and I was very happy with the service. The quality of the message was great, the atmosphere was great, and the place is very clean. Highly recommend it!

What a great experience, will definitely be back! They offer many packages and I'm super excited to try them out. Came here to get a massage with my fiance for his birthday! We were both feeling so great afterwards, we just sat in the parking lot for a bit to relax, haha.

Place is clean, staff are very friendly and professional. Environment is very relaxing, good spa experience. The only thing that I am not sure is although they told you that they will add 15% tip on the bill but they add the 15% after tax which most restaurant will do it before tax (understand it's minor and that's why I still give 5 stars)

The massages were okay for me personally, but my boyfriend really enjoyed his. Absolutely love the fact that they have heated massage beds. It does indeed feel like a cloud! The place is also clean

RMT was good at what she was doing. But as others say, I was disappointed by their forced gratuity. The receptionist speaks fast just like a machine about this rule - but I did not miss when she said "20%" - I asked for clarification then she said, "then15% ok"? And said gratuity is mandatory. I was not informed when I made the appointment.

My husband and I have been coming to Tsingtao Spa for 4 years now and we love it here. We have been to both the Markham and Vaughan locations but more often we go to the Markham one as it's closer to us. Both locations are extremely clean and they take Covid-19 protocols very seriously which I think is great as it makes both the customers and workers feel safer. The new Markham facility is much larger and they did a great job with the design.

The RMTs are all professional and actual RMTs. They are a bit on the pricier side when you also factor in the 15% gratuity but we don't mind as we feel the experience and level of service received, reflects appropriately. They also always give you a tasty tea afterwards which is a nice touch. Getting an appointment is also much easier at Tsingtao because they have a policy where you can only book 2 appointments ahead of time. This is a great policy as other massage places are near impossible to get an appointment.

There is a reason we have been loyal customers all these years and will continue to be as long as Tsingtao continues with the level of service we have become accustomed to and appreciate. I would recommend their massage services to anyone out there looking for a professional, relaxing and effective RMT experience.

Masseur skill was average although really nice. Missing n inconsistent steps, ask for medium pressure but feels nothing much.

Same issue on the force service charge which shld b told as tips.

Lastly. I went in great condition, no pain or aches. Jus want to use my benefits up. But after masaage my right wrist hurts during home workout. It sucks

Great service and massage by the RMT. They don’t do direct billing but still very easy to submit using the receipt they give. Prices on the website do not include tax and tip. Free tea is given at the end of the massage.

It was very easy to book an appointment. I got the Zen Revival package and had Keiko as my massage therapist. She is really great! Kept checking to make sure that the pressure was good. I will definitely come back again.

I have been coming to the Markham location regularly for the past year; I discovered it during Covid. The clinic is spotless and has a spa vibe. The staff are consistently professional and accommodating. I have always found the the massages to be excellent and the therapists pay attention to my concerns. I have tried both the signature massage and the hot stone. I have recommended it to several friends and relatives. Thank you for such lovely service.

The massage therapist I've used a couple of times is Yui. She is very good and finds the areas that need to be worked on and gets all the tightness out. She is very professional and is a very nice girl to communicate with. I will definitely request her again.

Masseuse was very good. Excellent Covid measures. I had some bad back pain and she was able to massage out my back and it immediately felt better.

What's the point, just hike the original price to include tips.
Reason i wasn't feeling to pay tip, because i i didn't like it at all.
She used elbows through out my upper back massage.
Actually left me sore, which i wasn't before going there. And that's why I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE TIPPING. I GUESS AM SORRY.
Place was super clean, hence 2* definitely, so hatsoff for that.

But seriously leave the people alone if they didn't like the massage and don't feel like TIPPING.

It is a very clean place. All the staff are friendly and professional. I specifically enjoy the way the RMT massage my back using their elbow techniques in their therapeutic massage. However, if the whole body massage can include areas like buttock or inner thighs, it'll be more complete. Lastly, for me, the elbow strokes on my calves and hamstrings doesnt release much tension. Hope they can combine other techniques.

I got a massage from them yesterday, and the RMT who performed the Swedish massage on me was Lili. She was very professional, lovely and she was amazing. The pressure of her massage was even throughout my whole body and she was able to relieve all the tight spots, specially the ones on my shoulders and back. I have been to a lot of massage places but this place is definitely one of my favorites. The price is worth it and their services are amazing. I would definitely be coming back and would definitely recommend this place.

Sheng is AMAZING. I have gotten the signature therapeutic massage from her several times now, and I always leave feeling like a million bucks. I am so glad I found this place - this is now my go to. The tea at the end of the massage is a nice touch, and Stephanie at the front desk is always so kind. I recommend this spa to all my friends.

Edit: changing to 4 stars due to the difficulty in booking. They’re open 11-7 but it’s unlikely someone will answer when you call. It takes over an hour for a call back. I love this place but if you’re in need of the therapeutic massage (I’ve injured my neck and greatly need the therapeutic massage), it can be frustrating.

Very clean and professional spa. I did a 90 min hot stone massage + 15 min head & scalp massage with Shey (not sure if I spelled her name right). I felt like butter during and after. Prices are very reasonable. If you have insurance that covers massages, this is a great place because they are all RMTs. Will definitely be coming back!

PS: With Covid, they do a screening questionnaire about exposures and travel by phone, then check your temperature and you wear your mask while in the spa and during the massage. I thought it would be uncomfortable to wear a mask during a massage but it was totally fine. The massage was so good, I didn't even notice I was wearing a mask.

I had been to this spa twice, feeling so relaxed after the signature massage, the massage was the best and I would recommend to my friends.

I work as an esthetician and is constantly in pain. I decided I needed a good massage and based off the reviews, I decided to try it out, and I'm extremely happy I did.

To start, the booking process is very easy and straight forwards, Stephanie, answered all my questions and was able to book me in quickly. When I got there, I was greated warmly and they took all they precautions for COVID.

My RMT, Sheng, was AMAZING. She asked what I wanted and gave me one of the best massages I've ever had. She gave the right pressure through the whole massage. She definitely has magic hands, most of my major back & shoulder pain has gone away because of her!

At the end of my massage, they made sure I was happy with everything and even gave me a delicious refreshment. Stephanie even went out of her way to open the door for me when I left. Thank you!

Ive worked in high-end spas most of my life, and I am happy to give 5 stars for my experience today. They might be a smaller spa, but for the price, the professionalism, and the RMT services, it absolutely cannot be beat! I rather come here than my own high end spa! Very relaxing and calming atmosphere, as well as clean facilities with Covid-19 protocols in place. The end-to-end process from booking to check-out was seamless. After my treatment, they provided tea and snacks to go.

My go to establishment for RMT massages. Been going consistently and the service is professional and the decor & furnishes are clean. You will be provided with slippers upon your arrival and after your session there is tea and snacks that are provided to rehydrate you which is nice. It's the little details that really make this a great place as you are provided with warm tea in the winter and cold tea in the summer.

Honestly, the RMT and services are great - I asked for the 'Signature Tsingtao Therapeutic Massage' which uses the forearm and elbow technique. I really did enjoy that service.however.

The reason for the less star review is because of the approach and the way the staff handled the gratuity. The first time I went, I paid the tip.but because its RMT, I was told by my insurance that the gratuity will not be covered and that technically, I shouldn't have done so in the first place.

Again, I also understand that this atmosphere is a 'spa' and they will provide additional services such as giving you tea, etc.therefore, they expect tips.

The second time I went, I chose not to add tip as it caused issues with my first RMT claim. Again, I understand that this type of environment expects tips from their clients, but what I felt uncomfortable with is HOW they approached the matter.

After I left, I got two phone calls about the tip, and to be honest, I felt like they were pressuring me to come back and give gratuity. I explained that the service was for RMT which is to be covered by insurance, other spa massage places that I have gone to recommend tip, but its not mandatory.

What upset me most about the situation is that my husband had an appointment booked for the same day (which they knew), so rather than give him the option to select a tip percentage (or choose not to if he had wanted to), instead they automatically included 15% directly onto his RMT bill.

Point is, what happens in MY appointment SHOULD NOT affect how you treat another client's appointment just because of my association with them.

Overall, like I said, great massage.but poor customer etiquette and aggressive approach when it comes to gratuity. I respect that they want to reinforce that the tip be mandatory, but the situation made me uncomfortable, preferably will go to other spas instead.

I've been to Tsingtao Wellness Spa twice so far and both times I had a great experience. The massages were so good. The last RMT I had was with Annie and she truly listened when I asked her to focus on certain areas (my neck, shoulders, and spine) I left the spa feeling refreshed and slept so well that night. Really great service. The space was smaller than usual but the decor made up for it. All employees that I got in contact with was really helpful. I had a massage with Min Min and it was probably the best massage I had ever gotten.

My husband and I have been visiting this spa every month or so for over 2 years, and we love it! I have had the therapeutic massage, mom to be massage, and reflexology (foot massage with acupressure points). Every session is very relaxing and professional. We have had treatments performed by various RMTs and they are all really good (great pressure and technique) and really professional. The spa is nicely decorated and always clean, also smells great. We always feel so relaxed and pampered after our massages.

Went Saturday early morning for a deep tissue massage. 60 minutes flew by too quickly but the massage was amazing. Staff is amazing and super friendly friendly. Definitely recommend it.

I had Chen and she was deceivingly strong for a petite lady. I had a fantastic 90min RMT massage from her, definitely coming back. Yes tip is mandatory, but they were 100% upfront about it when booking the appointment, so that is fine with me since that's the cost of massage.
