Tsuchi Cafe

Love this Japanese inspired vegan cafe. Tried the plant-based beef on rice and it was delicious. All natural ingredients and products with an impressive dessert/pastry case! It gets crowded on weekend afternoons, and there is limited seating, so be prepared to stand or take it to-go.

Best cafe in the world! Everything is delicious, flavours are so balanced and the service is impeccable.

A vegan cafe! Ordered the matcha and the hojicha cheesecake i believe! The taste was so good! Even if the recipe is vegan all the tastes are there, if not even better! Inside is a small cozy cafe

I had the matcha cheesecake and couldn't believe how good it was! And their washrooms are so nice and clean. I only wish they were open throughout the week

The cafe has minimalist design and uses a lot of wood and white which I really like. I got their tiramisu cake and it was pretty delicious. It’s not as rich as the regular tiramisu but it’s really good for vegan option. Would come back here again.

Beautiful little coffee and pastry shop. Had a fantastic cappuccino and loved the custard pastry!

I love this place, they have set the bar high for vegan places in Toronto. There is not one thing I have tried that I haven’t liked. The miso caramel is to die for, I love dipping my cut fruit in it. My favourites are black sesame paste cookies, the custard buns and silky flan. Thank you for all the beautiful food you create.

Very well lit in the cafe and the plants indoors made me happyThe matcha cheesecake was a bit rigid but I will come again for the food. I liked that they used eco friendly takeout boxes but for dining in, they should consider actual washable plates

I have had great experiences at the location at college street. However, the experience at the king street location was a disaster. The lady working appeared to have no cooking or food preparation skills. She failed to heat up my sandwich twice. She burnt the sandwich the third time. Waited 20 minutes for the sandwich the third. Did not tell me it ready 10 minutes ago.
Extremely disappointed in the service

The ambience of the cafe is like sitting by a warm ray of sunlight. The drinks and desserts are delivered with care and taste wonderful. You can drop in on a weekday to take in the atmosphere with your drink. The miso caramel macchiato was nutty and slightly sweet, and the Matcha Azuki Cheesecake combines the right textures and is something you can savour during your visit.

Small Japanese cafe offering different variety of bakeries and coffee. Worth a try if you a Japanese cuisine lover.

Staff was very friendly and offered suggestions! The Tsuchi burger was very savory and the bun soft and fluffy. We ordered a couple of things but the tiramisu and matcha cheesecakes had to be our favorite. Matcha lattes here are also really good, and have to be some of the best I've had.

Must go for Vegans - the Beignet was the best thing we’ve ever tried. Sandwiches are tasty plus you can travel with them

Had the iced americano & tiramisu and when i say this was one of the best tiramisu’s ive ever had… i was shocked! The decor and vibes of this place are immaculate and even with limited seating it is totally worth it to at least drop by and take in the gorgeous interior design.it’s a bit on the pricer side for a cafe but def worth it ️

Tried their hojicha latte and flan and wasn’t disappointed! The hojicha latte wasn’t too sweet and the flan was nice and silky. If you’re planning to eat the flan there I recommend bringing a tiny spoon.

There’s a lot of attention paid to the decor, the array of Japanese magazines (like Popeye), and even the washroom with its bidet. Would recommend spending a chill afternoon here!

I didn’t take photos as I was busy gobbling up the food. The sandwich, tiramisu tart and earl grey chestnut cheesecake was Wow! It’s my second time here and I love their tiramisu from the first visit so I was delighted to see they had a tart version! The sandwich never fail, fresh and yummy!

Came here for the first time and loved it! I'm not vegan and am always skeptical of vegan food. But I have vegan friends and we decided to meet up here. It was such a great place! The food is amazing and doesn't even feel like "vegan". I didn't feel I was deprived in any way. The only criticism is the lack of sitting area and the big plant kind of in the way. Other than that, it was great and will come back again.

Great drinks and incredible desserts and food to be sure. Highly recommended and would easily be 5 stars except for the complete and utter lack of recycling and composting. The packaging seems good with recycled paper, plant based cutlery but it along with the glass containers for the desserts all end up in the landfill. Plastic wrap on the cake slices may keep it moist but I bet there is a paper based product that would work just as well. Oh and for eat-in the cups and plates and cutlery are all the same single use disposable product. I guess they don’t want to wash dishes?

We spent a few nights in Toronto and visited a variety of cafes during our time there—this was one of our favorite spots and we’d 100% go back again if we had the chance!

Tsuchi Cafe is a Japanese cafe with high quality pastries and drinks. We ordered a fig pastry and lattes, one of which was a miso caramel latte. The latte was super rich, and the miso caramel was also a super interesting flavor! The miso flavor was extremely subtle but added a lot more depth to the flavor of the caramel drink. The fig cake was also extremely delicious and paired really well with the coffee.

The interior of the cafe is designed to be very modern and clean while still being inspired by Japanese design choices. Overall, it was a great place to not only stop by for a quick pick-me-up, but also a place to have great conversation, food+drink, and a wonderful ambiance. Highly recommend!

How can they make plant-base that good? I am usually skeptical about any plant-base, dairy free dessert… but I am persuaded by Tsuchi dessert. The recipe developer is creative but the food actually taste good and the appearance is elegant and beautiful.

Great place for Japanese style specialty coffee. All plant based. The sandwich is tasty as well! Really love it.
