Tucos Taco Lounge

Excellent food, by that i mean great ingredients and everything tasted fresh. Staff was on point, and orders/drinks came fast. Accommodated our two little ones as well. Will be a return stop for us anytime we are passing through Sudbury. Parking is limited and dining area is small (phone ahead)

This place is fantastic. When travelling through Sudbury, we stop by this place and everything was amazing. We started with the "Original Nachos and Carnitas Taco" which set the tone great.

The atmosphere is cozy. The servers are super friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was amazing!

They recently changed their tables and chairs, and they are comfier! I love eating at Tucos Taco Lounge!

I love Mexican food and know fresh ingredients when I taste them. Even the mint garnish for my Mojito beverage was fresh. If more restaurants used fresh grown ingredients and realized that people actually have taste buds, more places would do well. My wife and I will definitely go back again next time we visit Sudbury. Thank you for the great food.

Food was great - Green Goddess Tacos always hit the spot. The tacos are always filled generously and taste fresh. Deep fried cauliflower was cooked perfectly.
My drink was another experience entirely, though. I was extremely disappointed with the Caesar i ordered - it wasn't mixed, all of the Worcestershire sauce was pooled at the bottom and I had no utensil to mix it with. It turned out so dark it looked like a glass of balsamic vinegar. The most egregious part was the absence of a rim on my glass - often you order a caesar and they give you a straw with a rimmed glass (what's the point?), well at Tuco's it was the complete opposite. No rim, no straw. At a premium price of $12, their Caesar takes a fat L. Not worth the cost.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Always great food, great drinks, & great service! Having a birthday special would be nice though.

Can never go wrong with any of the menu items at Tucos! Recently had one of their chimichangas which was HUGE and delicious

Cashier is rude. I give her a tip even though I ordered and came to pick it up, to be nice. She proceeds to call me crazy. Smarten up, sound carries and your client is here for food, not idle gossip.

I am from Mexico, where I lived until six months ago and I was very excited to go to Tuco's tacos because I miss my home and I had read a ton of reviews (including replies written by the owner of the restaurant) claiming this place, while being vegan, has authentic mexican taste. Unfortunately, it does not, this is tex-mex food.
In traditional mexican cuisine, we hardly ever use cumin but I found that there was quite a noticeable cumin flavor especially in the carne asada seasoning which was definitely not what I'm used to or what I think of when I read "carne asada". The salsa verde wasn't spicy at all, the tortillas were not fully cooked.this wouldn't be a problem if they had claimed that this was mexican inspired or mexican-canadian fusion food but just the fact they claim it's authentic mexican food is misleading, especially for people who are expecting that experience.
However, the not-fish tacos were amazing and I was definitely impressed by how nice the texture of the meat substitutes is. The food is tasty and the atmosphere of the place is very nice, I just feel like they should stop saying that this is authentic mexican flavor because it's definitely not.

We had the fish tacos and the green goddess salad. And omg! The food here is fantastic! So amazed so happy! Can't wait to try everything else on the menu! This is how you do tacos!

First time at this Sudbury hidden gem. The atmosphere is cozy. The servers are super friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was amazing! I never dined at a vegetarian restaurant before, but this place set the bar really high. The mac & cheese tasted amazing, and the Buffalo Tempeh Taco had so much flavour packed in every bite. I highly suggest this place. Take a look of the pictures, it will make your mouth water.

This place is amazing! We had been here once a few years ago, and wanted to return on our way through Sudbury. Unfortunately, our ETA was 15min past their closing time. We called them and explained the situation, and they happily made our food anyway! We were able to just run in to grab it and pay, despite them being closed for 15 minutes. So needless to say, the service is fantastic!
On top of that, the food is incredible, with lots of variety. It’s great to see a vegan restaurant with such creativity. There is definitely something for everyone, vegan or not! Meat will not be missed. The portions are also huge! Very filling.
Tuco’s Tacos is a must-try if you’re in Sudbury. Thank you again for accommodating us, and for such great food!

The food was good overall and it had some neat attention to detail for their vegan mocks of meat like the avocado used as a fish replacement being sliced and fried together to resemble fish texture.

However there we a number of things that kept them at a 3 for me. The margaritas weren't very good, the paper the nachos were cooked on stuck to the chips a lot of the time, many of the nachos were soggy since they over used moisture heavy toppings, and they don't let you mix and match their tacos to try a variety of them which is usually an option at taco places I have been.

As a person who doesn’t eat vegan very often, I was absolutely blown away by the food here. Easily my top 5 favourite Mexican restaurant. The staff really took their time to talk us through the menu and made sure everything was to our likening. Not to forget their cozy patio was a very nice touch on a warm September day. Also I was impressed with their beer selection!

Amazing food. Great service. Atmosphere was phenomenal. Love this place. Ugly Bean Burrito is to die for. Highly recommend.

In town on my own on business and saw the reviews so headed over. Fun, casual vibe - friendly staff and the best tacos I've ever tasted. Really enjoyed the hot toddy special too for a cold night. Wish you were in Toronto and all over Ontario! So delicious and so fun. I highly recommended this place.

Always amazing service and food ordered the spicy Mac and cheese burrito and it is a new favourite food. Can’t even tell it’s vegan

Food isn't worth the disrespectful staff. I hope whatever was on the hostess phone was worth losing customers over.

Went in to pick up an order I placed through their site. Go in, host gets off her cellphone, walks over and asked my name. Asks me how I ordered and went to talk to her coworker.

After hearing my name come up a few times and hearing words like "double order" "guess they have the same name" "I don't know where the ticket went" I have no idea what's going on with my food and I'm concerned after hearing those words.

After their conversation, she goes back to her chair and onto her phone. While I'm just standing there confused and worried.

I had to physically speak up "so do you know what is going on with my order? " Doesn't look up from her phone "yah it's done"

I hope whatever was on her phone was worth losing customers over. Wouldn't be shocked if others have had a similar experience.

Tried the nachos with chili, buffalo tempah tacos and my favourite the grilled pineapple tacos. The taste and flavour was incredible and for the vast quantities that we received I was left feeling full but not bloated, a key in what I look for in a place. The after taste sits nicely on the roof of your mouth and I'll be making this a staple here.

I make this a stop every time I'm in Sudbury. I'm a meat-eater, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying their fantastic vegan food and they have a nice selection of craft beers as well. Love that they also spin vinyl and have the album cover displayed on the wall for whatever is playing. A cool place to check out for sure!

An excellent, unique Sudbury culinary experience. Never disappointed. Portions are huge. I recommend the nachos to all out of town visitors!

I got the phish tacos and carnitas. Wow. I topped it off with a michelada. The michelada was so good and tasted like the California ones at our Mexican restaurants. I now have a favorite place in Sudbury that gives me a home feel. Plus, all the servers were awesome. I'll make sure to come back here next time I am in Sudbury.

A nice addition to the local restaurant scene. I had quesadillas and shared regular nachos. Having never tried vegan meals before, my palate didn't notice the dairy and meat alternatives. Both dishes were delicious. The nachos were a generous portion, but I felt there could be more to the quesadillas.

When in Sudbury, and if you love Mexican food, you have to visit this place. Sat outdoors, and was comfortable as they have outdoor heaters. Nice place to relax, with great tasting food and large servings. Friendly service too! Everything is great. I highly recommended this place.

I’ve always had such a great experience at Tucos. They have a wonderful menu and great service. I 100% recommend tucos to anyone, vegan or not. Their food is authentic and tastes phenomenal (Coming from one who is not vegan and thoroughly enjoys authentic Mexican food).

A local favourite never ceases to fail in consistent flavour (all fresh ingredients) and presentation. Seemingly busier through COVID. Only reason for 4 stars.our order was missing 2 of the 4 burritos the other items Chile, guacamole, churros and cauliflower salad were there but my husband was highly frustrated that the main dinner items were missing and had to go back to resolve the issue.despite Pre ordering and paying online.
