Twice As Nice

Not the best experience, I used to eat from this restaurant a lot and I won’t ever again. Stew chicken was dry and jerk chicken had some liquid smoke flavour on it, the rice and coleslaw was the highlight. To make it worse, I found a clipped nail in my rice! The service was great, friendly and polite.

Food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered the oxtail and rice and I threw up immediately five minutes later. My friend got the same thing and had the runs. This food is old and disgusting. Do yourself a favour and don’t eat here.
Very disgraceful.

I went in at 10 AM this morning and it was a long walk up to counter and noticed there was nothing in the glass case so I asked the lady if she had any food ready, she then tried to belittle me and shouted good morning as if to say I’m to say good morning first. Normally good customer service is as soon as I walk in they would say, “good morning how can I help you” but she had her head down and said nothing before I did and wanted to make it look like I have no manners and then there was an argument. I ordered nothing because I was afraid she would spit the food if I ordered it. Bad experience bad people work there I wouldn’t recommend buying from them.

This is my favourite restaurant to go to When I visit the East End of the city. I love the fried chicken with the oxtail gravy. The only issue is they charge you extra for gravy on top of the chicken as well as the rice. I mean if you pour gravy on the chicken doesn't it fall onto the rice. I feel they should make more gravy so they shouldn't have to charge you for something that adds to the flavor of the food. Plus I'm sure if they didn't charge extra a lot more people would appreciate them for that simple little gesture. Besides that the food tastes amazing I suggest that you definitely try them out

I have not been there pre pandemic. However I went there today and their Jerk pork was amazing. The right amount of seasoning and spice. I felt like I wanted seconds.

Good portion but the oxtail was full of sugar! These ppl must be trini because I don’t know any jamaicans that put sugar inna oxtail!

The food is tasty with rice n peas good but sometimes dry. The 2 star rating is for the broken up pieces of thyme that's trying to compete with all the small bones in the oxtail/cowfoot.the overall time to remove them from your mouth while eating takes the enjoyment away from the food. Fried chicken is good tho, get that.

Food ok but expensive bad ooo and they share mean I would rather go to the chiny man who gives you a money worth. Little bit a rice little vegetable for $25 fish meal me almost drop down, but that is a regular thing with black business expensive and they ain't all that. Well, I shall drive by without stopping and not recommendations from me

I used to enjoy their food, not so much anymore. The last cow foot and rice meal I had was terrible. It’s like I paid to eat bones. There was hardly any jelly on the bones. Every time I pick out the pimento I end up biting into a hidden one in the rice and peas. It just throws off the whole taste of the food biting into one of those things. I also had their soup which tastes good, but the way they break up the thyme sticks in the soup makes you have to be picking thyme out of your mouth every second. That’s pretty annoying. I suggest you guys invest in a cheesecloth or a little seasoning bag that you can cook with and then remove when the food has finished cook. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my friends and family because I’ve had better tasting food at other Caribbean restaurants.

Garbage food only a dog will eat! The staff is horrible with attitude like it’s their yard, they can catch IT! Especially the skinny bod man dude that’s at the side door he stinks and needs a shower bod!

Whatever you do, don’t order the oxtail. If I could describe it…it would be described as sugar and pure bone!

These people are clueless. Doordash has them as being closed. I called to inform them this morning. They did nothing, don't waste your money.

I only eat fish I purchased and had no regrets they made me felt good so I went back and make them feel good excellent customer service and the vibe was pleasant. My wish is that they would dive in the VEGAN/Vegetarian/Ital World………. SEEEEEENNNN

It's a good restaurant but the place is very annoying the don't have a proper waiting area you have to stand at the street to get ur food to go

Most disgusting customer service from twice as nice today. The woman at the front not only can’t round up and down with my total but was very nasty.when I had told her that $25.02 rounds down and I only need to give her $25 exact she expected me to give her the cents, witch on my receipt I gave it to her to prove a point the it’s rounds down. She clearly didn’t like that i had said something and I got my food and left. She then continued to shut the door behind us with a very nasty and disrespectful. My receipt can show it all. I don’t care for my 0.25 cents, it’s the customer service and principle when you’re working in this kind of environment.

The food is amazing overall. Was better when it used to be across the street but overall good authentic Jamaican food.

I ordered two meals on skip.they only sent ONE. Turns out they didn't have jerk pork so they just didn't send anything lol

I'm back from BC and tried ordering again. This is now my go to place. Orders and food has been on point since my last review and I have ordered multiple times. I recommend.

**PAST REVIEW** I'm here from BC and ordered it once and it was amazing! Day before I left I had to order again. Ordered (on skip) a mix combo, they didn't send my jerk chicken, didn't give oxtail gravy and no coleslaw. Also today's fry chicken and the goat was very, VERY salty.
First order I would've given 5 stars, this one not so much.
