This is our 3rd time using Two Men and a Truck and they have never disappointed. First class service from the time you contact them for an estimate to the moment the last piece of furniture is unloaded. They make a very stressful time a more enjoyable experience! I did not think moving could be so efficient and (almost) enjoyable. From Bina’s excellent customer service, Dwayne and Matthew’s expertise, Leanne’s care, and even Andy’s on-site inspection, they were worth every penny. Dwayne even fixed my furniture and bed that I had issues with for a few years! I felt like I was in the presence of friends, that’s how good this was. Thank you for making a hard day, good! Excellent experience. The movers were great people and made the entire move very enjoyable.

The moving team was late, nearly an hour. There were two very personable men and they were easy to communicate with. They were efficient, wouldn't take a break, and just kept on working till it was done. Some furniture needed assembly and they didn't hesitate. So, all in all, quite satisfied.

Dwayne and Steve were absolutely awesome. Totally stress free and they are total experts and very friendly. I will never move along thing again in my life!

Nick and Cam were amazing movers! They were punctual, polite and followed instructions to the letter. I will be booking them again on my next move. Thank you for making our move so easy.

Our movers today from the Pickering location of Two Men and a Truck (Dave, Rob and Alex) were amazing. We had 3 Men not two. They were very professional, and took great care of my things. Great experience - We were very lucky to have Dave and Robert as our move team. We had our little 2month old baby with us to add up to the stress of a move but everything went very smoothly. From the estimate to the physical move, everyone was professional and very respectful. The movers wrapped everything with great attention, and were really nice! Best moving experience!

We moved yesterday and I cannot express in words how amazing the day went. My family and I were stressed and nervous about moving day but fortunately Dave and Robbie were dispatched to our move. Those 2 guys are THE BEST!
They were efficient and careful throughout the entire day. I’d never use anyone else and anyone I know moving in the future will be getting told to request Dave and Rob.

We have a couch that was put in the basement by some friends. Decided to hire the company to put take the couch upstairs to the living room and put a stand up freezer downstairs in the basement. The freezer made it to the basement but was told that the couch could not be moved after trying. Makes no sense because we were able to successfully get it down there so how is it that "professionals" can't get it back out? Not to mention several holes in the walls and scratched stairs. The movers said they would put in an order to get it fixed. A couple days later we heard nothing and had to call. They asked for pics and we sent it. It's been more than a month and have not heard back. Had to call back and said they can't confirm when we will get a call back. I insisted it be before the end of this week. I also asked about some sort of refund seeing as the couch "could not be moved" because we have to pay another company to move it. Was told by the person on the phone that we pay for the time moving not the amount of items? What? So I paid money to try to move something? I'm still waiting for the confirmation of when they will come fix the holes and the stairs. Maybe leaving this review would cause them to pick up their feet. Needless to say, should we move from this house we know not to use this company or else we would have to leave the couch behind.

This is the first company to charge me a $28 "administrative fee" (non-waivable) at time of reservation. A little "frosting on the cake" prior to the actual move, kind of lame if you ask me. The move was fine, two great kids took care of it all. But the "admin fee" should have been a deposit credited to my bill.just sayin'.

Fantastic staff and company! So helpful and supportive during a difficult time, especially having to make an unplanned relocation that was a nasty surprise. Efficiently arranged paperwork, storage and the move. No worries!

BUYER BEWARE!

My recent experience with this moving company was absolutely horrendous.

I contacted this company December 2020 to schedule a move for March 2021.

The office representative I dealt with in December was efficient, friendly and professional.

Unbeknownst to me, the management at this location (Pickering/Markham), had changed by the time I actually had to move.

I was advised a week prior to my move that the movers would cover the mattresses, plastic wrap any items required and take apart our bed frames.

Also, I was advised, that if the time taken (to move) was less than the quote I received and paid for, I would be refunded the portion of time not used.

Please bear in mind I was moving items from a condo into a 10 ft. X 10ft.storage unit, which is 100 square feet.

The storage facility was not even 2 km away from my condo.

My move was scheduled for 8: 00am. I received a call approximately half an hour before the movers arrival, to let me know they were going arrive at 8: 45am instead.

We were charged starting from 8: 15am.

The movers were friendly, but SLOW and on purpose. At certain points in time, I would go down to the truck and the movers would be sitting in the cabin of the truck either relaxing or smoking.

They did not cover the mattresses and they did not have any tools to take the bed frames apart. We loaned them a drill.

When the truck was finally loaded, I mentioned to the driver I will see them at the storage facility. That was at 11: 50am.

I arrived first and waited and waited and waited.
Finally, a few minutes afrer 12pm, I called the driver and asked where are they?
I was told that they stopped at a gas station to get a drink.
I was not told prior, that they needed to make any stops.

The movers got to the storage facility at 12: 19pm, again the process was very SLOW, considering there were 3 men. I myself was moving items to speed up the process.

One of the movers asked me how did I receive my quote. I told him that I filled out a form of the items we had to move. He asked “so nobody did a visit in person to do an assessment? ” And I replied no.

That is when he told me that the management/ownership had recently changed and the directive is to move as slow as possible, so that the company can bill for more hours.
He also stated that my move could have been completed already, as we did not have a lot of items. He believed his other two associates were intentionally wasting time for the reason of billing more hours.

The move finally was over by 2: 20pm.

I called the office to ask the if we are required to pay for lunch time of the movers.
The representative replied no. I told her I waited for a considerable amount of time for the movers to show up at the facility. She said that they were only gone 15 minutes according to the GPS tracker in the truck.

This was a blatant lie. When upper management finally investigated the GPS tracker, the movers were gone for a total of 31 minutes.
I had also checked with the storage facility who checked their cameras to confirm the timeline.

So not only did the movers and the office representative lie about how long they were gone for lunch, the movers also lied about letting me know they were going for lunch.
And further lied about telling me about the new management directive.

How could I possibly know about management/ownership changes as a consumer?

Therefore, if I am being billed from 8: 15am to 2: 20pm, that is a total of 6 hours and 5 minutes.

We were charged 6.5 hours, so that they did not have to refund us the half hour lunch taken by the movers. Not to mention the relaxation/smoke breaks.
So unethical.

To end this long story, was I compensated or refunded any money? No.

It is unfortunate that this company lacks ethics, empathy and integrity.

DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY TO THIS COMPANY UPFRONT!
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL!

Tried to get them booked after hearing great things about them. They insisted on an in-home estimate which was fine with me. Came and did the estimate and was promised the quote by the end of the day. Next day came and still no estimate. 3 days later I called and left a message at 7am, no call back or estimate sent. Called in the afternoon and got the receptionist who knew my name right away, told me she'd talked to the manager and get the estimate to me end of day then promptly hung up on me. Its now 4 days before my move and still no quote and I'm scrambling to find a new company to move me.

This is the type of shady moving company that CBC warns Canadians about. Their workers are very rude and inconsiderate and their office team is extremely unhelpful and scammy. 0/10 do not recommend

We just moved from a condo to a house today with Two Men and a Truck's Pickering location. We were extremely happy with how things turned out. The movers were fast and efficient, while also being very careful with our stuff. No door frames or walls were scuffed and all our belongings arrived at the new house in perfect shape. We were especially impressed that the guys were able to clear our condo of stuff in the short 4 hour time window that the building provided us to use the elevator on service mode. I can't stress enough how happy I was with how we were treated today. I think the guys were even more careful with my stuff than I am with it, and that is really truly impressive, and says a lot not only about the quality of service that this company provides, but also the moral character of the people who work there. I rate TMAT 5/5. I would rate them 6/5 if I could. I will use their service again when I next move with absolutely no hesitation, and I would recommend their service to anyone who is looking to hire movers. I really could not be happier with how things turned out. Great job guys! I'm over the moon!

Overall great move experience the movers and office staff were polite and professional and the office staff called during the move to ensure everything was going as expected. The movers were steady and careful with everything, worked throughout the entire move and drove straight to the destination (instead of taking breaks or going for lunch mid-move).

This company was great! I had hired another company and was set to move but I had a last minute red flag and my gut said to switch movers. I called Two Men and a Truck 48hrs away from my move and luckily they had a crew available. One call and we were set up to go like I had this booked a month in advance. The crew was on time, quick, efficient, and friendly. We went from a condo to a townhouse in just over half a day. Everything was done right, labels on boxes and instructions were followed, and we had zero stress. I HATE moving but these guys made it as painless as possible. Most definitely would use again!

We had a bit of an unfortunate start when the crew that was scheduled to help with our move all called in sick. The Mississauga team at Two Men and a Truck reached out to their network and managed to get a crew in from Pickering. Even with their delay in arriving and having us as their 2nd move the day, the 3 men were all friendly, helpful and worked hard to keep our move on track. I’d recommend this company to others and will keep them in mind should I need their services again. Their customer service was excellent, from the quoting process right through to the movers themselves. Thank you for making a hard day a little easier to manage!

The drivers were late for the pick up (Not weather related) and again they were late on arrival (again not weather related). Thus we missed our elevator window, which GREATLY slowed down the moving process.
In fact the senior home will be reaching out to "Two Men and a Truck" to request they NEVER send this team to there location as they were lazy, slow and did not understand the urgency of getting things done quickly.
I would NOT recommend this team and suggest if you are using "Two Man & a Truck" that you make sure you are getting an experienced team.

If I could rate the day a "0" I would.

The truck was close to being on time despite traffic construction delays, the two movers were polite and considerate and efficient. At the destination we had to change the location of the entry into the building and the movers were accommodating although it was not ideal. Full marks and we would recommend these two guys. And we would use them again.

AMAZING! The guys were so great, on time, called to give me an update on their arrival, and were just seamless in the entire process. 2nd time using Two Men and a Truck.definitely wont be my last!

Two Men and Truck recently move my belongings from my home and into storage for a short period and then to my new home. I found them on time, polite, well organized, and reasonably price. Both moves were done very professionally.

Having used TMT 3 times already, my expectations where high. The team today was on time, efficient, courteous, and very careful.
The estimate was accurate, yet the team exceeded.

Zero damage, even with some sensitive items.

I will certainly continue to recommend and use TMT.

Bad customer service, they didn't entertain well, looks like over busy.
After 5 times of follow up only got call back once that too was promised to get a call back for booking but no one called back.

We were absolutely thrilled with the service we received while moving my elderly mother to a retirement residence. My mom loved Shawn who came to do the move estimate and he added just the right amount of concern and attention to make my mom more comfortable with this huge transition. The three young men who arrived on the move day were personable, polite and flexible with last moment decisions, never making us feel rushed and happily fulfilling every request. I would happily recommend your company to anyone needing movers and especially to seniors who are overwhelmed with the moving process! You made it painless!

Having survived many moves throughout the GTA and across the country, I really have to commend Two Men and a Truck for their timely and friendly service. Emma was amazing confirming my move and providing lots of info about the move. John and Justin were the best movers I have ever had! They were fast, efficient and very professional. I was shocked every time I turned around and saw how much stuff they lifted quickly (up a hill with stairs too!). I have had movers that were rude.basically chucked my things into the truck, and cursed all the time they were moving. These guys were friendly and polite and I would definitely ask for them again. Thank you for turning my nasty move into a great experience!

I used Two Men and a Truck for an in-house move and the gentlemen were so accommodating and were concerned that if they moved certain items it would damage the walls and gave good suggestions as to what I could do. They were hard workers, never really stopped until the job was completed even though they had to go up and down from the top flight of stairs to the basement mostly and I would recommend anyone to use this service. I will again if the need comes up. Thankx so much Two Men and a Truck I really appreciate the service you supplied.
