Two Men and a Truck

I've had dealings with the two men and a truck staff on 3 occasions and they were very professional and took very good care of our furniture when moving it. I'm very impressed and would highly recommend them and use them again for any moving services.

I can’t recommend Two Men and a Truck enough! From booking to move day, their service was excellent and everything went very smoothly.

Their admin staff helped me figure out what to ask for and told me what to expect. The movers were all friendly, courteous, on time, and efficient (we ended 2 hours ahead of the estimate!). They took excellent care of my belongings and of me, too – one of them checked on me a few times and kindly encouraged me to sit down and let them do their thing. It doesn’t come naturally to me to sit and watch people work so I really needed to hear that!

I hired this company to help me move my Bistro. This was a great decision, as I couldn’t be happier with their excellent service! The entire process from the beginning to end was outstanding- from when I first contacted the office until the last item was unloaded. The team disassembled AND reassembled my beds and couch for me, which meant I could actually rest at the end of my moving day, instead of sleeping on a mattress on the floor. JJ, Denis and company did an amazing job picking up our furniture and wrapping it carefully for the trip. They also took care in unloading all our furniture properly and asked where each item would go. As well as putting it back together. These guys are prompt, efficient and friendly. I recently moved and was very pleased with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK movers. They were friendly, personable, professional, on time and efficient. My move was approximately 1and 15 minutes out of the city, and the total move took just over 4 hours total.start to finish. I would highly recommend these movers.and give them an A-Plus. The office staff was also friendly and very helpful, and always ready to answer questions over the weeks of packing and preparing for the move. Working with Two Men and a Truck was phenomenal from start to finish! We had an early December move planned, and we had to push our move date twice because of shifting closing dates on selling our old house, and they were very accommodating and understanding. The movers showed up on time, worked efficiently and professionally, and were a pleasure to chat with throughout the day. They took very good care of all our belongings and wrapped all furniture, and made sure that boxes ended up in the rooms they were supposed to which made unpacking the next few days a breeze. Moving can be a very stressful experience but this team made it actually enjoyable! We would not hesitate to recommend them to any one moving in the Ottawa area!

Fantastic experience! We moved this weekend and had a great team of 5 men and 2 trucks. The movers were professional, quick, and amazing to watch. They took the time to wrap all our furniture, they disassembled and reassembled our beds. They moved together like a well choreographed dance and they were also fun to be around. I will be recommending them to all my friends.

Two Men and a Truck used to be the best. We used them several times in the past few years. Their customer service is now terrible. The website indicates free home estimates, however, they refuse to do home estimates under any circumstances, stating COVID as the reason. The only way they will provide a quote or schedule a move team is if the customer provides a detailed list of each item to be moved. We are very disappointed in their lack of customer service.

We used them in mid March and they were professional, seemed like they knew what they were doing, moved quickly, and their initial quote was fairly accurate to the final price.

Unfortunately, our tv got damaged in the move. We contacted them about the damages and we were able to get it sorted out.

We would use their services again, but hopefully we don't have to move anytime soon!

Everything from my initial start to completion was excellent. Beth in the office is great to work with. Professional, pleasant. When I advised her at the last minute I was moving more then first mentioned she was efficient in finding a solution. Sidney, Traii, and Damien were efficient, pleasant and so very helpful. They moved quickly, wrapped and took care of my furnishings with care. This is the second time I have used this company in the last 13 months. I would highly recommend their moving services.

Five star experience. We used Two Men and a Truck for two moves in one day. Tamara was great to work with coordinating everything in the office and Eric and the team did an awesome job in the field. From the movers all the way to management, this company is terrible. They were tasked with moving a select few things (not to empty the entire house, just some appliances, furniture, etc) from my mother’s house which is being sold to a house flipping company. They showed up and within minutes they were on the phone with their boss who decided that it wasn’t safe for his workers to perform the move. They still charged my mother for 4 hours labour even though they were gone within 30 minutes, without mentioning that they left her in a really bad spot by bailing on her.

The movers were very professional and efficient. However, they accidentally damaged the front door of my condo. I reported the issue the day of the move and I have followed up consistently for a month now to be reimbursed for the damages. I still have not heard back from management and now they have stop responding to my emails. I was overall happy with the move, but disappointed with how the situation is currently being handled.

From start to finish, this was a great experience.

JJ & Steve were excellent! Your quote was bang-on: they arrived at 8: 35am and the truck was empty at the new house shortly after 2pm. They were professional, friendly, and courteous. They explained everything very clearly and they moved very fast.

I am almost completely unpacked and the only damage I've discovered so far is a very slight scuff on a storage bin! They clearly wrapped everything well and handled everything carefully.

Two Men and a Truck were absolute professionals in when I recently used their services. They took the time to carefully wrap anything that could potentially be damaged during a move, all while working extremely efficiently. They were happy to be flexible as far as timing and what the job entailed. The administrative side of the company was also exceptional - and they were willing to work with me every step of the Way. A particular shout out goes to Willy, his colleague (whose name has slipped my mind) and Melissa/Beth, who handle the administrative side of things. The movers were flexible even when we had some delays as far as getting access to our new house. I would totally hire them again!

My move took place a day before the 1st Covid Lockdown. Yes, I should have posted this a while back.
It was a perfect move; from office dealings to last delivery. The guys arrived earlier than expected, wearing masks, and went right to work. At one point, one of the guys came quietly to me and handed me a small envelope he had found stuck to the inside of an empty drawer. It contained exactly the amount of money I had withdrawn from the bank. How honest! They also offered to take several items we had intended to bring in our vehicles. So appreciated! They had to deliver furniture to 2 other homes before their last stop. It was all done before noon. They took a short break for lunch and came back to shovel the deck at my address in order to unload the rest of the truck. All that was missing was one tiny felt pad under a piece of furniture. How about that! Soooo satisfied!

We had such an amazing experience for our move. Our 3 movers were absolutely amazing. They were so friendly, helpful and most importantly efficient! I would highly recommend this company to anyone moving - 1000% worth every penny.

Was supposed to be first job, 9 am confirmed, 5+ hours later, no update calls to advise on what's happening, so I called, arrogant, rude & they cancelled. Go elsewhere.

It has been a horrible experience to deal with them. They are fast to respond to get you a quote. After that its a nightmare. They overbooked themselves and changed my move in day with little notice. During the move they damaged appliances. They sent someone over to have a look and it ended there. Over a year later, they have yet to return a call of mine. I would stay away from this company. You will avoid many issues. Totally unprofessional.

I needed the service twice. The first time was great. I was really impressed. The second time (same two employees) was terrible. I complained and the managers did absolutely nothing about it. Please use a different company.

Easy booking, pretty accurate estimate and quote, arrived on time, did professional work and carefully moved our furniture. Only hiccup was with the double billing, but it got resolved quickly. I contacted the company about moving to a four-bedroom house.
I sent pictures of the house and the things that we are going to transfer. They advised that I need two people to do the work.

On the day of the move, they advised me to have an extra person who will decrease work time for the total expenses. I agreed. They ended up sending two workers.

I paid 1600 for the move. I was surprised that after two days, I was charged extra 300 dollars. When I asked them about it, they said it is for the 4th worker, but since we didn't agree on four people (we decided on 3), Paul (the company owner) said he would refund me. Two months passed, and I didn't get the refund despite more than three follow-up emails.

Moved us out of our Orleans home April 2021. Exceptional service at a fair, competitive price. Everything went smoothly. Incredibly diligent movers - courteous, responsive, hard-working, friendly, and professional. Charges were in full agreement with our pre-agreed contract.

The team from Two Men and a Truck were professional and ontime, everything was wrapped and secured properly in the truck, and their team was on time and in budget in fact they finished 1 hour before the time scheduled. Best move yet, stress free, and I will use them again, and recommend them highly.

I never received so much attitude like i did over the phone when i called for a quote. I was hung up on at least twice and was talked to in a very rude manner. It is at that point I hung up my self.

This is my second time using Two Men and a Truck. They have exceeded my expectations both times. On time, friendly, efficient and professional. It was a long day with three stops before the final destination and the crew were in the same spirits from beginning to end. I would most definitely recommend to anyone with moving needs and I will use again. The office staff were great, making sure I had what I needed and followed up to ensure there weren't any issue. Over all a fantastic company.

What can you say? On time, very friendly, very professional and courteous; wrapped everything; nothing was an issue or a problem. Final price was exactly as quoted (which must be hard to do in the moving business) so great response and communication from the office.

I would not recommend using this company. During our move, the movers put multiple holes in our walls and took a chip out of our hard wood floor. The movers wrote up a damage report and indicated that someone from management would be in touch with us about sending out a contractor to repair the damages in the next few days. It has now been three months and someone from management has still not contacted us. We have emailed and called but with no response. If I were to move again, I would use another service.

I used two man and a truck this past weekend. I was moving from an apartment to a house and the crew was amazing. They were on time, very courteous and professional. They did the full move in 7hours which included a 1hr drive between my places. They surprised me with how they managed to load and move my couch and bookshelf without having to disassemble. I had color coded my boxes so when we got to the new place they were quick and aware of where to place each item. They were careful with fragile items and ensuring they did not damage the walls and door openings. I would very much recommend their services and will definitely use it again in a future move!

We needed to move the contents of a condo to multiple locations in Ottawa, Mallorytown and Perth. My request for a quote was handled efficiently and with a high degree of courtesy. The move happened exactly as requested with all items being delivered to the correct locationssd with professional courtesy. Dakota and Jonathan were excellent. The final invoice was almost exactly, to the penny, what was quoted to me. I would definitely use this company again and recommend to family and friends.

Several broken glasses, many items clearly marked to be placed in basement placed upstairs, complained about amount of things I was moving even though every item was told to them a week before.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Booked a move weeks in advance, they asked for a CC over the phone which seemed odd, they assured me that they wouldn't charge anything and only wanted in case we cancelled. After the move they provided the bill which I happily paid. Few days go by and I get a surprise charge on my cc and a email stating that they under charged me despite the movers finalizing and signing a final bill stating the number of hours it took to move. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

We had 3 guys help us (thanks Denis, Dakota & Jacob) and they were wonderful! The office staff helped coordinate everything and answered my million and a half questions. They made short work of a move from a one bedroom 3rd floor apartment (with no elevator!) to our 2 bedroom condo in Ottawa. The rates are fairly reasonable and there aren’t a bunch of hidden and extra fees (like stair charges, and truck fees, etc.). Their quote system is thorough and they had an inventory list of our place to make it easier. They were on time, polite and made sure everything was where it belonged. I’d definitely recommend them for a move to save the time, effort and strain a move can cause! No damages, nothing missing, and not a single thing is broken or chipped. We are very happy customers!

This is our first time moving with furniture and 2 men made sure it was as stress free as possible. The office team is responsive and accommodating while our movers were responsible and diligent. Would certainly use their services again.

WARNING! DO NOT USE TMT to move your belongings. If something is damaged they WILL DO EVERYTHING NOT TO FIX YOUR ITEMS. Several items were damaged in our move. The movers DID NOT CARE and proceeded to tell us to “ make a claim “. Be prepared you must have ALL receipts for items moved as they WILL NOT be fixed if you do not. Just horrible customer service.

Sid and Mike arrived early, worked extremely hard, and the price came in below the quote I was given. They did not hesitate to maneuver my couch over the balcony when it wouldn't go beyond the corner stairs!

The crew arrived at exactly the time promised, and they were friendly, polite and efficient throughout the day. They handled my things with care and were very helpful with a couple of my “specialty items, ” including a very large table with a glass top. They also showed a good understanding of Covid protocols and I felt safe with their approach.

Planning a move during a pandemic and lockdown can be stressful but the team over at Two Men and a Truck helped elevate some of it with their responsiveness and professionalism. From planning the estimate and booking with the office team, having boxes and packing supplies delivered and to the efficiency of the moving team on the day of, they help make our moving experience great. First time using movers and I plan to contact them again the next time I move.

Mover were efficient and friendly. Unfortunately, our fridge door was broken in the move, but I wasn’t worried. When I signed the contract I was assured of their “Insurance” that would cover damages. Good luck if that happens to you. Our fridge was deemed “worthless” because of its age despite the fact that it worked perfectly before it was moved. Now we have to buy a brand new fridge and they not contributing a penny towards it. Zero trust in this company anymore.

The online estimating program was easy and simple to use and the admin staff were quick to contact me with a quote. On moving day the guys who came were very nice and worked very efficiently. They took the time to protect my furniture with moving blankets and were careful not to scrap the walls. Learn how to drive your trucks and slow down. Almost hit few cars today and a family. Driver had a case of road rage lost control on a curb almost flipped truck causing major accident.

Lost items and then refused responsibility and said the items were never part of move. The movers were efficient and worked hard, but they were extremely careless. They nicked a few pieces of furniture, but most importantly a valuable of ours went missing. We had a case of sunglasses that did not get moved. At one point during the move on route from our previous house to the new location the truck was nowhere to be found. They showed up 20 minutes later saying they got lost. At the end of the move I was asked to inspect the truck. The truck looked empty. The movers were so careless they left behind 4 moving blankets and 3 rolls of their plastic wrap that belonged to the company. That evening I looked to see if all the valuables made the move and the sunglass case was missing. I emailed right away and got a prompt response. They said they checked all the trucks and talked to the movers and the item was not there nor did they remember moving it. I asked them to file a claim with insurance and they told me to get a police report. After getting that they told me there was no proof that the movers moved the item and that I signed the contract at the end of the move. At this point I got a lawyer to contact the movers. The lawyer informed them that they were liable and that the contract is not binding as it’s impossible to know if all items had made the move until starting to unpack. They responded to my lawyer saying they would submit the claim to insurance. Over a year later and nothing. They no longer respond to me and my lawyer. My only option is small claims court. Our experience was extremely frustrating as they refused to compensate us for our missing item with the insurance they claim covers you.

Unfortunately i cannot give a better star rating. 2grand to move a small house. Lost my business for sure.

This company damaged a piece of furniture two drawers in my credenza. The boy took the pieces to repair them and never returned. The manager when I complained tried to intimidate me and was totally rude. I am now forced to consider legal action to recover my property. Be aware that this company in Ottawa is not reputable

I was told by ¨The 2men and a Truck¨ office rep that if I was prepared for the move, the cost would be less. I add 35 boxes all ready and labelled, no guessing as to where everything went. I had only a couple of big items to move, a 2 part china cabinet, a buffet and a dresser and a bed. The truck was roughly 1/3 full, when it was ready to leave. Nothing needed to be taken apart or assemble at the new location. My new location was 10 city locks away.
Cost of move, $1,093.27.
The Movers broke the glass in the side panel of the China cabinet, a reprt was issued. The office has made no effort to contact me to inform me about repairing this breakage. My hand carved in Africa head board was scratched.

These guys were great! They took the time to wrap most of my furniture, something the other 2 moving companies didn't do to save from scratches. Also liked how they rolled the carpets indoors without asking me if it was necessary. Very Professional and the price was right.

Amazing service from appointment setup to to the actual move. The movers we had were top notch professionals. Best of all, it was very affordable.

They were exceptionally late. I honestly did not think they were even coming but they moved quickly and were polite. The lateness wasn't their fault due to a previous booking taking much longer.

We had a good experience with this company. The receptionist was friendly and the delivery men were also. Our delivery was timely and nothing was damaged. Smooth delivery. Would use them again!
