Mike was at Hubies Variety on Culloden Line filling the ice box outside the store. I walked in between the back of his truck and the ice box instead of walking around the whole truck excusing ourselves to go into the store with my wife. He started being aggressive and mouthing off how we should walk around his truck because he was working.
We went in the store made our purchase and on the way out I escorted my wife right past him again.
He became extremely aggressive and confrontational walking toward me like he was wanting to fight.
I had no problem cursing him out and verbally lashing back at this time. His attempts to intimidate, and bully were not effective and I’m glad I was there and it was not just my wife alone.
Just a complete unprofessional and I find it hard to believe people like this are successful business owners

Mike went over and above to help me with an issue I was having with my water cooler taps. It was for a water cooler that wasn't from his store, as well. He sourced out a couple from his inventory, and provided them free of charge. What great service, and thanks so much Mike!

Just moved from Hamilton and have been using U-Fill.
Great water and ice, but was very disappointed when I recently went in for ice and the price went up by 20% without any notice.
I am editing this review, after the Owner, Mike, confronted me, while I was at U-Fill getting water refills from my account.
I am also leaving my original review at the beginning, which was a very good 4 star review, which has now been changed to a 1 Star after the confrontation by the owner.
I visited U-Fill on Saturday, June 30/22 to get water refills from my account, as I have been a customer for over a year.
While there, the Owner, Mike, angrily confronted me about my previous 4 Star review, which I thought was very good.
Apparently, he was extremely angry regarding my comment that I was disappointed that the price of his ice went up by 20%, without any notification.
While at U-fill that day, Mike loudly started scolding, berating, lecturing and bullying me about this comment in my review, he was extremely confrontational and aggressive in his behaviour towards me, in his Store with other customers present.
This type of uncontrollable and aggressive behaviour demonstrates a lack of self-control on his part towards customers and is very unprofessional for a business owner.
Fortunately, I was able to show self control and not lower myself to his standard.
Mike exhibited Zero customer service skills and requires considerable effort learning how to deal with and interact civilly with his customers.
Since Mike was not getting a response from me, he went to the counter and asked the person sitting there, how many refills I had left, he then proceeded to bring over a ten dollar bill to me and mentioned to me, not to return to the Store, as he did not want my business anymore and I was not welcomed there anymore.
I believe the older gentleman sitting behind the counter was Mike's father and I was very surprised that his father would condone such unacceptable behaviour from his Son, but then again, it was his father who went to get him to confront me, when I first arrived.
I certainly would never do business with Mike again and would definitely not recommend this establishment to anyone.
As I have observed in previous negative reviews regarding Mike's behaviour, he always seem to come up with excuses in his attempt to discredit them, so I am wondering what his excuse will be in my case, as I have a witness, who was present with me and can confirm exactly what occurred.
This person that was present with me at the store was completely shocked at the manner in which Mike acted.

Used to like getting my water and ice from here but won't be returning anymore after being spoken to rudely by the owner. You need to work on your customer service skills!

Always friendly staff behind the desk. And special on jug refills every Tuesdays. Good deal.

Stopped to look at a hot tube outside of the store, desk clerk came out and very rudely told me I can park in the parking lot. Lost my business instantly.
