The worst over the counter customer experience I’ve ever had. When I asked a question about the drop off location I was scoffed at. When I asked if I could change the drop off location I was told flatly no.
The truck was clean and drop off process was easy, but I won’t ever go back to this location.

The woman working this desk on the Saturday was extremely rude to us. She moved the drop off location from the one we had ordered, would not answer our questions about why, and gave us a hard time about registering a second driver. I am very disappointed in the service we received - despite planning ahead, booking the trip online and registering a second driver online, our interactions with UHaul on the day-of our trip caused headaches and delays.

From my experience which was utterly ridiculous, I wouldn’t want anyone going there and being treated like this, I got the rental partly empty and yet I was billed for the gas which to me was highly unreasonable an on top of that I kept being called on reminder that I have to bring back the rental, this sought of behaviour which I have experienced is one I will never advise anyone to go through.

I went to rent a uhaul here today, and had the best customer experience I could have asked for. The weather was terrible and they were clearly short staffed but Donna was doing EVERYTHING IMAGINABLE to keep the line moving and people happy, I don’t know what she’s being paid but surely it’s not enough. Thank you Donna for your hard efforts and work.

Very good service and friendly staff, reasonable prices. No on-site parking for a personal makes it a little inconvenient, need to find a street parking and risk getting a ticket if parked for too long.

I tried this location as the one closer to me is a mess. I showed up 15 mins before my pick up time and there was a 40 min wait in line before getting my trailer. Then when I pulled my vehicle in to hook it up, the guy that worked there yelled at me and told me not to park where the trailer was. To top it off, they ended up charging me an extra day (again) and I had dropped it off early. They need more staff and vehicles. I watched a couple cry because they didnt have the truck that they had booked a month prior.

I had a reservation for a covered trailer 4x8 this AM. While I was waiting in-line, another customer without a reservation inquired about the trailer, given that there was no availability, the customer offered to pay cash. With the cash offer the manager agreed to the rental, presumably to pocket the cash, or otherwise. When it was my turn at the counter, my trailer was no longer available.

The manager was visibility tense, cited policies and that she was too busy to help. That she was not there to make phone calls to verify reservations, as she handed me paper with the number for Uhaul’s support line.

I’m moving from Toronto to Vancouver which is already a stressful move, but I trusted an organization like Uhaul. This particular location may be practicing unethical business practices, and accepting cash deals.

Ok, uhaul was good. It's super crazy busy, you have to book well in advance (which we did thankfully). Be aware that if you are excessively late for your appointment (2 hours or more) they can giveaway your reservation. It happened to the people in front of us but the clerk behind the desk got them another rental, the clerk was very nice and accommodating but visibly stressed out. The team out front was busy cleaning vehicles and directing people were they needed to go. All in all a fairly reasonable experience.

Doesn't even deserve one star
We reserved a storage unit a week in advance with u haul. After receiving the renting confirmation email I called them, making sure I was so good to go. They told me I was all set and just to come in at least 30 min before closing on my moving day. We went first thing in the morning, and were told that they didn't have the storage unit I reserved. No explanation, no help. They said they wouldn't help because "their is nothing we can do", was their exact words. It didn't make sense considering they had other units available and it was THEIR mistake (my booking was legit and they could see it), they should have been able to somehow do something to honor our rental agreement.
But true to their words, THEY DIDN'T HELP AT ALL! Basically didn't give a s**t, told us we could just pay for the next size up (65$+tax for a 1 foot difference to my booking? ! WTH) And that's it, no others options, no solution. No courtesy discount on the next available size for THEIR mistake, no apologies. It was terrible, I was exhausted and baffled, got to be the worst customer service we ever had. The staff called the manager, who refused to help! The manager was awful and so unprofessional! Told the staff to charge us full price or just ignore us and get us out! So after one hour without trying to fix their mistake, they just completely ignored us and started serving other people with us still sitting there in shock. We are now left on moving day, due to leave the country in few days, with no storage to move to! How is that even possible U haul? ! Absolutely shameful

Sad there is no option for a 0 star, or minus 5 star would be more accurate.
Booked a storage online, great. Called them up to confirm we were all set to go, they confirmed our reservation was all set, advised us to go in person on the day of move in to get the keys etc, great.
Arrived on a Saturday morning, went to activate the storage at the counter and was told that our reservation was there but there were no units available.
Of course we need to move into the storage today. Waiting around we are first told there would be a solution, but after 1hr and a half the ONLY solution given to us was to pay $60+ (per month) for a larger unit. This is absolutely not an option and as anyone in the customer service industry would agree this is a mistake made by U Haul that they needed to remedee.
We asked to speak to a manager, the customer service agent called her manager a few times, eventually getting through and going away to talk privately. When she returned it was quite clear the Manager had simply told her to get us out and ignore us and serve the other customers. So we were sitting there at the counter whilst she served other customers all around us.
We have never been treated this badly before, and as it was a mistake made by U Haul who were not prepeared to offer us anything to remedee the situation (Offering us the next size storage at the agreed price, or even discounted at all) we were left in a really bad situation, needing storage immediately with no options.
Thank you U Haul - We are completely in shock about how we were treated

Great location for not only vehicle rentals but packing supplies and storage as well. A little intimidating in the parking lot at busy times as they stock a large number of panel and cube vans, and the parking lot itself is tight. Add in customers' cars, and you need to keep your eyes and ears open when navigating. It's also right on Weston, which is often traffic-jammed as well.
Outside of that, this place is 1-stop shopping for supplies, vehicles, and storage if you're moving.

I also got “ Sorry can’t help” “Company policy” “ Take it or leave it” attitude

Seems like most U-Haul places are either 1 star or 5 star which is fair considering it all depends on the actual moving day.

My experience was decent, as there were no hiccups. Borrowed a small truck, moved, and returned, and no extra charges were incurred. The facility is quite big and they also have storage area for rent.

-1 star because it’s hard to get in and out of the actual place as the traffic is crazy around there which means the accessibility is reduced (also account for delay when you return the vehicle).

Either hire staff that can fill out paperwork in a normal time frame or hire more than 1 worker. The lineups here are ridicuoiusly long.the workers all lool lile they hate kife and have no urgency to help you.

Very good customer service the beautiful young girl named Arionna was very helpful. Loved this place Its a little busy but you get what you need at the end of the day. I didn’t have any trouble getting around, overall loved this company.

Nice, well maintained calm & clean safe storage facility.
Nice friendly cooperative professional staff.
I like & use this affordable facility for long term.
Well Environment and weather controlled storage units.
Strong large dolleys are at site free of charge.
Large elevators to move bigger stuffs as well.
Can access late night up to
10 PM, while can get 24 hours access by adding a small extra charges with the base rent.

Bad experience. First, they tried to give me a truck with a missing mirror, and if I hadn't noticed before driving off the lot I have no doubt they would have blamed me for it and charged me. Then the giant key tag with the truck key on it must have been cracked and even though I kept the key tag firmly in my pocket the key somehow fell off the tag randomly while I was moving. I was stranded at my moving site thinking the key was locked in the truck for an extra 3.5 hours, and looking everywhere around the storage site I was moving into. Finally somehow I found it had popped off the tag, out of my pocket, and into one of my storage bins.

I tried to call the rental site and they said I would have to contact roadside assistance and they couldn't help at all. It took 1 hour for Uhaul roadside assistance to even answer the phone - I was on hold 1 hour. Then when they arrived they opened the truck but the key wasn't in there, but they said a new key would cost almost $300 if I couldn't find it - when it was their faulty key tag! Eventually after scouring the storage facility (which was by now closed and I had no way to get home) I luckily found the key, but what was supposed to be a 4.5 hour move turned into 9 hours of stress. I delivered the truck after the site had closed, but made a complaint during the "online" return process, and it said someone would contact me within 24 hours, but no manager even bothered to call me back, after this huge inconvenience and ruining my day with their faulty equipment, faulty key tag, and trying to give me a truck without a side mirror they couldn't even bother with a customer service call to apologize - they just charged my credit card for the full amount of the rental.

Screw this Uhaul site. Rent anywhere else, just don't go here. The manager doesn't give a damn about their customers and this was the worst moving experience ever.even though I planned meticulously for it to go well, and it was supposed to be an easy move.

They had a water leak on January 30,2022 that flooded 1/2 inch of water into our unit soaking boxes and furniture stored in there. They would not give use of another locker to move stuff into while cleaning up this locker (and we are cleaning up their flood mess including mopping up the water!). They offered no shop vacs or blowers to help clean up mess. They did get a couple dehumidifiers. We are going to have to spend days cleaning this up and there is a lot of damage to our stuff. I can’t believe that they have just left everyone to deal with their mess. They have been completely incompetent. Do not use this storage facility!

Used Stockyard services several times, and have always been met with prompt and courteous service. Friendly costumer service from the first reservation to drop off. Highly recommend.

Ordered a Pickup truck @ this location, confirmed for next morning, when I arrived they told me I have to go to another location 15kms away.
Huge inconvenience and false indication on their website. Would never do business with this location again! Experience cost me extra 2 hours and $30 more than I planned on. No explaination or concern from the business.

Literally the worst customer service I've ever received. Talking to the woman who 'helped' us on Aug 2nd at 10am was like talking to a brick wall. After waiting 45mins, we had to come back 2h later because she had no clue about our ubox.

We worked with the manager later that afternoon who at least seemed like she wanted to help us.

The WORST check in process. The was one person checking people in on the last Saturday of the month. How do you not anticipate the last weekend to be busy? Wasted over an hour just trying to get my reserved vehicle, only to be told that I should have completed the check in process before getting here (ie.a reservation isn’t enough).

Horrible customer service. I think they are not well paid, they seemed to hate the job. Two of them were not wearing mask at all (out of 3). We parked, our car in the parking to pick up boxes. Came back there were vans everywhere, blocking the path. Approached a guy he said it’s not customer parking (no sign anywhere), he said he can't help. Went inside, they said they can't help. Waited till the guy cleans and moves the van.

No complaints whatsoever. The employees followed the Covid-19 procedures (avoiding crowds), very clean, spacious, well organized environment/office, nicely displayed merchandise and very quick and efficient service. The truck was clean and run well all the time, seemed well taken cared of. Would use the location again if necessary. Very satisfied with everything. Absolutely recommended.

Extremely unprofessional - doesn't even describe how poor of an experience I had with this location. I had booked a 10ft truck for the day and my dropoff time was the next day at 10AM. I had dropped my keys off to an employee working at the counter and I had asked if we could do a walk through right there. She said that the guys out front would double check it, no need to worry. When I was leaving the premises, one of the employees driving the truck was driving way too fast for how small the parking lot is, especially with music blasting through the truck speakers. He easily could've caused serious injuries had there been more people in the lot. Furthermore, the other employee was not doing much during this time. I had dropped it off PRIOR to 4pm on the same day I picked up the truck and I STILL received a receipt of an additional day's charge as I had supposedly dropped it off at 10: 34 AM the next day. I was on hold for over 45 minutes to clarify this situation. Beyond unprofessional and irritating, the employees need to be better trained and managed as it always affects the customers in the end. Will not be using this location again.

Secure, but easy to get in to. Average price for the area I guess and it's a truck rental, which can be convenient. It's kind of a maze, so unless you go there often to access your unit, put the map in the glove box.

This is a really busy location. The staff is friendly and easy to work with. There is no long term parking on site, you cannot leave your vehicle here.

Phenomenal experience. Fast, straightforward, friendly, professional, and saved me from a bad UHaul experience just down the road.

I originally had my UHaul booked with the pickup location down the road (87 Ethel) for a 4pm pickup and the owner refused to give me my vehicle because I showed up at 4: 02pm for a pickup that was supposed to be contactless anyways (keys accessible via lockbox and mobile app).

Luckily 355 Weston had a lucky cancellation and was able to change my reservation.

Highly recommend!

The pickup process was a breeze and retuning was also swift. Uhaul has really improved their game, but they need to fix the bugs in the app.

I used the online check in and it was a breeze! Kind of like a fun scavenger hunt. The staff at this location are insanely patient with all of us who come in totally clueless and stressed. Tonight one of the staff bothered to come outside to give me protips on where to put my rental truck when she saw I had a few loads to do from my storage unit. It was really thoughtful of her <3
When I first set up my storage unit a few months back, they give you an orientation and a training of sorts. Tanya does such a fun job of it. I really like this location. Keep up the great work!

This is the second time, within 10 days, that I drive for 1 hour, only to find that my code doesn't work.
The first time, a man told me what to do, which I already knew since I've had a storage since December and have had another one, back in 2012. The store was closed, so I called next day to find out what was the problem, they check payments which come out straight from my Visa, and she found it was all good.
I came today again and had the same problem. The men in attendance this time, was closing everything and told me to try many times, and I told him I have tried 6 times already and he just walked away.
I went to the side of the store, which had a sliding door to go in, I saw a young woman inside so I knocked on the window and told her about the situation, the man shows up and interrupts, while she is giving me a phone number, to call for help.
I called the number, 1 800 GOUHAUL but they had to transfer me to customer service, which was useless. They cannot help me at all. All they could do is send an email to the manager and wait for a call during bussiness hours.
I am now driving back, without the papers I need for work tomorrow!
You cannot get help after hours and even during bussiness hours, you need to wait for at least 1 hours to be served

Rented an eight-foot pickup truck (at the last minute), and had NO problems at all, even though it was a busy 'end of month' rental day for this location.

I've rented here numerous times, and have always been impressed by the staff's excellent customer service, and their attention to detail.

Truck was immaculate, ran perfectly, and the check-out/check-in process was seamless.

A special kudos to Sonny, the rep who processed my return. He was super friendly, professional, and got me on my way quickly and easily.

Will definitely rent again!

Awful service. We booked a Storage unit and tried to sign in online as that's what we were told to do. When we tried to ask the employees for help we were dismissed as "it wasn't their job" and told to call the 1-800 number. Worst experience I've had with Uhaul. Due to this experience I will not be using them again.

My truck was reserved for 12th dec. When I got there to pick it they said they don't have any truck because people that were supposed to come with trucks to return didn't come. Agent didn't help me with anything, they didnt have anything nearby as well. Pathetic U-haul service throughout Ontario. I will never gonna do business with these scumbags again.

Completed both checkin and checkout on phone. They send padlock code to your phone. During checkin MAKE SURE you take photos of all previous damages. Takes a while (15 mins) to complete.

First and possibly last experience with U-Haul. The folks were clearly unhappy to be working there, almost as if doing me a favour. Stood up for 20min waiting for them to figure something out in the system and didn't get any feedback about what was going on. Booked 2 types of dollies online, they said they didn't have one of them, so I chose another type on the spot. They added more dollies to my final bill than I asked for. Didn't tell me where the truck was, I had to go outside and find a truck and guess whether it was the right one. The dollies were not in the truck, I had to pick them up myself and take them there. Upon opening the cargo area of the truck I found out that the dolly they said they didn't have available was actually inside the truck. They couldn't coordinate actions amongst themselves and were in disagreement about where things were a few times. Did not feel welcome or well served.

Had a good experience with my last rental. I had all my stuff ready and the staff had me in and out in less than 5 minutes, I never felt rushed either. There was a slight issue returning the vehicle but that had to do with the uhaul self return system and not with the staff. Thanks for making my rental a good experience.

Overall it was a fine experience. New cargo Van, clean, well maintained. But one bad experience- I retuithe van in after hours so had to drop the keys in the key drop box. Next morning I get a call that they can't find the key, and I would have to pay $100 fine. I asked for access to the CCTV footage of the box. Got a call few hours later that they found the key. Coincidence? Purposefully done?
So my advice- be careful, and make a video of yourself dropping the keys in the box.

Staff seemed very efficient. I used the pre-check in option and I think it helped the process go faster. Hard to tell as there were only two of us in line. Returning it was very quick and easy as well. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because there was no instruction on the app they send if you are advising there is damage not shown on the vehicle before you head out. Us "older" people sometimes need some explanation.

Unbelievably poor service!

Such a huge company, known, if not only Canada-wide, maybe even worldwide, providing with such a awful customer support as well as standard services - is a shame.

Long story short: Self pick up / Truck share has been scheduled for 10p.m. - we showed 10 minutes prior, tried proceeding with the PICK UP MY TRUCK option as per instructions - no luck, specifically literally no option to proceed any further than that tab. Okay, we wait till 10p.m, hoping that the service will work once the time comes. Same thing. We dial 2 different numbers of UHAUL expecting for at least one of them to be picked up in a timely manner. Both on hold for 50+ minutes. Once the first one got picked up - they heard me out and literally transferred to a different line with an additional hold of 20 minutes. All in all our reservation expired by then - no wonder.

They picked up after 11pm tried to help with no luck. We contacted their online chat support - they returned the call saying that the location we’re at doesn’t have any trucks available. The location, by the way, hasn’t been picked by us, they offered it days before this occurred.

Sending us for a different truck type 25KM away. 25! 11: 30p.m.

Does that sound okay to anyone?
Their website is a total joke. Our reservation has been amended multiple times after our call.with no certainty we went there to pick up the truck at the different location. Not to mention it took about 15-20 minutes for them to approve our license plate that’s been submitted DAYS prior to the pick up. Isn’t it the matter of comparing the initially given with exact same thing additionally provided.

Anyways, totally disappointed, totally do not recommend. I am very generous with compliments when they’re deserved, trust me, that’s not the case!

This location is horrible and the staff is rude and unprofessional. They also told me that Covid-19 is over and they insisted that it was over. I asked them which medical professional gave them this info. The rude lady responded saying “pay your rental late fees because COVID-19 is done. I wasn’t overdue or owing. Worst experience I’ve ever had. They fire the manager and her staff

Definitely the worst U-Haul location in Toronto. Terrible customer service. I returned a rental overnight and was told was charged twice the original cost of the rental as they claimed I didnt not return the truck with gas (I filled up to the exact amount I collected it at). They made no attempt to amicably resolve my dispute.

The staff at this location were fantastic. I needed to use a uhaul van to move to a new apartment. I called a different location previously to get some information and was not impressed with the customer service at all. However, the ladies at this location were wonderful and answered all of my questions without hesitation. They sounded enthusiastic over the phone and were wonderful in person as well. I ended up booking the van and it was exceptionally clean and taken care of. There were no hidden costs (it actually ended up being cheaper than I expected) and the drop off of the van went just as smoothly as the pick up. I dropped the van off to Sunny, who also helped me when I came outside to pick the van up, and he made sure that I was comfortable with everything and made sure to explain everything. He was kind and definitely takes pride in his work of keeping the vans and trucks exceptionally clean. Would definitely recommend booking from this location if you can!
