Extremely slow service. Sat in line for over an hour while the staff visited instead of doing their jobs. Wouldn't recommend. The place was understaffed and the lady working there clearly had no idea what she was doing and was trying to serve way more curlstomers than she had the skills to handle. Plus she was extremely rude and made this business seem like a complete joke

Quick and easy and cheap. The original trailer they had for me had a low tire which they brought up but they quickly changed to another trailer for my use. Did everything I needed.

Worse place to rent with, i had booked a 5x8 uhaul trailer almost 2 weeks ago, they give me a call stating that other customer is creating an issue and that they will need to give me a 6x12 trailer when i had booked a 5x8 the customer service is so garbage, and they should give the $50 reservation gurantee, i recommend not using this place.

Rented from here twice now. Honestly the worst part is the employees. Specifically those at the front counter I have had no issues with those who come out and check your vehicle but beware when dealing with those inside. They have been consistently rude and have on every occasion gotten upset with me for attempting to understand what to do and how their system works. This specific location makes a potentially already stressful time much worse and makes a rather simple system difficult and stressful based solely on their attitude. My recommendation would be a new general manager because this location clearly sorely lacks leadership

Terrible customer service. Manager is nothing more than a coward who hides in her office and leaves her “staff” to deal with line ups of angry customers. Reservations not honoured, wrong trucks given to the wrong people, trucks not ready on time or available at all.deplorable! This place needs a complete turnover of staff and management. I and everyone I know will never ever use u-haul again, and you have the Rexdale location to thank for that! Worst service ever, the system was down and no enough employees for a weekend shift.
I booked a dolly but was booked out when I arrived although it was confirmed on my online booking.

Will never be back to this location.

If i could give this location or the company a zero I would have done it right away.

I booked a truck for mobile pick up for 6: 30-12: 30pm. Got to the location and as soon as i start the pick up process, the website say that i have to wait for the office to open.

I called the customer service. I found out that the truck wasn’t available for mobile pick up and somebody was scheduled to pick up the truck for 11: 30am. It overlapped our scheduled time. Then, i was told i can go to another location and pick up another truck my reservation will updated. Got to the location, found out there’s no truck available for me to pick up. Called the customer service again and was told that there’s a glitch on the website thats why. Funny!

And the people that works here were no help at all. Very poor customer service, didn’t apologize. They will just brush you off or your concern.

The trailer was fine mechanically, but was not cleaned out. I had to request it be swept, had to hook the trailer myself and had to go looking for someone to check out. They really need to improve their customer service. I will rent from the Queensway store next time.

I've never had a worse experience anywhere. I'm not sure if it's specific to this location or U-Haul in general, but the problems were plenty:

1) trying to reach any voice at either the location or central customer service means a minimum of a 20-30 min wait. Make sure your questions are listed so you don't forget to ask something you need to know.

2) trying to change reservation time on the phone was told they can't do it and instead of directing me to the web site they told me I better come at the exact time I reserved or they will consider me a no show.

3) check in for a trailer was a breeze but they tried to add the insurance, making it seem mandatory. When I asked if it was mandatory there was a pause and a sigh, before the word no.

4) this one is probably my fault but didn't realize there was a 55mph limit when towing their trailers. Considering we are going a long distance this adds considerable time to our trip that wasn't planned for.

5) we paid for padding and a dolly and did not receive them. Yes, we should have checked. But their issue is no proper handoff.

6) when I asked about a hitch lock and straps the answer was a shrug and they didn't know. Clearly the worker didn't care either because she just walked away.

Basically, at every juncture except the initial online booking, there was a lack of caring for doing things correctly and caring about the customer.

Unless U-Haul is the only game in town I will be avoiding them in the future.

Worst customer service ever.
Both lady's at front desk are rude, slow and they do not help nothing at all.

I made a reservation online for moving boxes the girl didn't find the reservation at the end she was not looking properly.

Then without a notification they change my reservation to weston location and it was almost closing time. So I had to make an uber expense.

I asked why they made this and they were rude and don't even make an explain. And súper slow service. Many people and they were with bad attitude and making faces.

The staff member at check in helped greatly. I didn't know how to download my d/l. She set it all up for me. Truck performed perfectly and surprising comfortable. Put 800 KM.on it. Return was easy. Lovely staff member at return area outside. Very friendly, polite, and courteous!

Came to pick up a 24/7 mobile pickup booking and was told by the lady at the front desk to go outside and do the check in thing online. When I did do that, she came screaming at us to get out of the truck. Told her to please talk nicely and not in that tone. Well she did not speak nicely at all the whole time and instead gave us an attitude and shouted everything at us. Please improve on customer service skills and if you can’t, maybe DON’T DO A CUSTOMER SERVICE JOB:)

Overcharged! Got charged for cleaning when the truck wasn't dirty charged for extra day although I returned the vehicle at 8pm and checked out online and left the key at drop off box. Not friendly staff and never got a call back from the manager like I requested. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. Probably will never return to this location.

Was moving from Windsor to Toronto. I've always been able to bring the Uhaul from one place an dleave it with another within a different city. This time, they said I couldn't and I had to return it back and pay for the trip. There was also alot of back and forth with the papers I signed. It was over all a bad experience and everyone over the phones contradicted each other. Rules seemed to not make sense coming from phone calls. I was confused and think I was overcharged Aswell. I was quite frustrated.

Slow service when picking up truck, despite completing online check in. Definitely not the most efficient way. People picking up trucks are sourcing uhaul to complete a service of their own, and the staff working there don't seem to work with the slightest decency to help their customers. More, the outdoor parking is very poorly looked after. The way some truck are parked will inevitably lead to an accident, as not everyone will be skillful enough to leave the parking lot because of the way trucks are parked. Almost like an obstacle course. There are sometimes trailer tails in the way that in some instances I had to move my self. I would reconsider using this their service here if you are an employer. It might cost you.

The ultimate worse place, I wished I had visited this page before I did business with them. Don’t believe them when they say the truck is reserved for you. You better have a plan B if you have to move out or something. They are very unprofessional. Don’t believe the price they advertise online or in their office, $19.99 plus mileage and gaz mean $300 my friends. Very very misleading advertisement. Shameful!

Long waits, online checking system doesn't work, rude employees, no parking on site or nearby.

They also changed my reservation multiple times and mailed me a refund after telling me to come into the store.

It took a couple days to sort out my reservation. That was a bit of a challenge. U-Haul did offer fairly good support through it though. I was contacted multiple times in the process of trying to secure a 20' truck.

Pickup on the day was a little slow but there was only one person at the desk. She was very nice and accommodating - added an extra day to the booking without charge.

I got the vehicle, drove off and completed my move.

I wanted to drop off the vehicle at night, outside of normal operating hours. I called customer support and got the best service I've had in years - maybe ever. The woman I spoke with (Kristie) was amazing.

Not only did Kristie help me return the vehicle without any difficulty (outside of normal operating hours) she called me while I was on the road to check in to make sure I understood the drop off instructions and reassured me that she would take care of the check-in details.

Overall, very thankful to have been dealing with U-Haul on this move.

Worse U-haul in America so far, workers are super rude, they have 1 person working at the desk and the line gets pretty long so prepare for waiting for a very long time and they have no customer parking and they ask you to park at somebody else property across the street in Harvey's. If you wouldn't wish to ruin your day please don't go to that location.

The customer service and appreciation at this location is something that needs to be addressed by management. They should be banned from using the U-Haul name. We rented a truck from Royal Windsor location and it broke down by the airport, we were advised by the U-Haul head office to go to Rexdale location to pick up a truck so we could continue our job for the day, the employees at Rexdale acted as if they had no information about the situation and treated us as we were first time customers. We attempted to explain what had happened but the lady at the desk of Rexdale said that had nothing to do with her and it wasn't her problem. Excuse me woman? Your shirt says U-Haul, this is most definitely your problem.

Worst customer service experience ever. I had made a booking online for 10’ truck but when I reached there the lady told me they don’t have any truck available. They had my booking in their system but still they have given my truck to another. And the lady on the window was so rude that she said that it’s not our problem, call the customer care. Then I called the customer care and they took 50 minutes to pickup my call which I can understand. But they connected me to the trafficking system. To be continued

Worst service, do not recommend this location. Went at opening to pick up a truck reservation and had to wait 45 minutes because there was only one person at the desk and the line up of people was out the door. There's very limited parking available. Got a call that we'd forgotten ID there and went back in the afternoon when there was luckily no line. The woman took 10 seconds to go through the lost and found drawer, couldn't find it and went, "I don't see it" and then just started organizing her desk and ignoring me! I asked her to look again and she told me she needed to help other customers (the couple who had just walked into the store were just looking at supplies and storage sizes- they were not ready for help yet or waiting) and to wait for someone else to come help me. I had to go outside and get one of the other staff to come in and look through the drawer and she found it right away.

Absolutely horrible - place is clean enough but if you ever need to deal with staff - so ridiculously slow/lazy, walk around doing nothing while customers waiting, takes unreasonably long to process anything - too me 25 min with one customer ahead to buy Hitch supplies - refused to take product purchases before spending 25 min checking in uhual rentals - staff incredibly become very unfriendly and spiteful if they have to make any extra effort. I would avoid this place - many other comparable storage but with staff that care / trained well and treat customers as they would want to be

Seems like the csr doesn't want to work and they are just getting paid for sitting free doing nothing. It's 11: 30am and no one is willing to work, csr are roaming freely.

You made me make a reservation which I did.so reaching the location at the time we agreed to pick the truck, staff i met there were very rude and walked away claiming they have closed yet the website shows 7pm and I was there at 6: 15pm. They said I should call customer care which I did though someone I spoke to transfered me to another line which I also waited for an hour with no reply.you made me waste one hour with your bad customer service at the location, I drove my gas knowing I would get the car but all in vain. You have poor poor services and it's not the first time you always do that.

This location is an embarrassment to the U-Haul brand. If you are automatically booked to this location call U-Haul and go anywhere else. The manager himself needs to resign! They do not care for their clients at all. In a recent trailer reservation, I arrived after my online check in fully paid. I had to stand inside in line for a while and I watched both desk clerks talk down to ever costumer before me. They were rude and unhelpful. When I finally arrived at the desk they callously informed me that my trailer had been rented out from under me. Here is where everything went downhill. I was reserved for 3: 30 and was there 15 minutes early to be prepared for any missteps; however, the number of mistake made beyond this point are too numerous to write in a review. A few highlights:

1. Nobody bothered with an apology. Not once.
2. The manager did not come out despite me asking to talk to him a number of times. In fact, I could hear him in his office behind the desk. This was a situation only a manager should handle.
3. They left a first day trainee alone to work with costumers while the other girl was taking personal calls.
4. I had to sit in my car and call U-Haul head office to get any answers.
5. I was over an hour late and no Covid protocols were adhered to.
6. When I finally drove my car to the back lot to hook up my replacement trailer, there were 3 other similar trailers physically there. I was shocked!

Every staff I spoke to was rude and dismissive. They have no costumer service to speak of. The manager is clearly trying to destroy the U-Haul brand. Maybe he's running some sort of illegal side hustle out of his back office and cares not for the actual costumers who have paid for the U-Haul services. I can only guess what could make a manager so incompetent in running a business. U-Haul should seriously consider removing the franchise from this location or replacing the this manager and every staff member with people that will uphold the company's mission and values.

Rented a trailer to haul my side by side ask for a trailer that would accommodate gave the dimensions and they said there 6x10 trailer would work. Long story short the ramp is less than 5ft wide so it wouldn't fit. I returned it and the manager was very rude and when I asked for her boss she said call uhaul and walked away

I just needed to rent a truck, and it turns out that at this location I have to give another person's phone number for them to call on the spot to get references about myself. I am told this is because someone ran over someone else in Toronto, blah blah blah. How is this my issue and since when do you guys need to call my wife or whomever to ask if I have permission to rent a stupid truck?

We came here as my relative want to move their stuff. The timing is very strict, once they have said we open at 7 then you'll not see anyone near 6: 50. We came earlier. They are providing storage rooms and rental trucks. The one thing which they are not providing is car parking. They are offering to park vehicle at Swiss Chalet across the road which is kinda disappointing. People came with car and you don't have any parking spot to put our car how does this works? Apart from parking spot, everything is perfect.

Like to start off with saying that the staff are great and very customer service oriented. Now with that said the reason I give it a 2 stars is all about the site itself;

Pros: Great staff, 24hr service available, secure lockers

Cons: Rodent and pest issue, this was the biggie as there was evidence of mice and roaches in my locker, now I'd like to say I never brought any food in or brought them along myself. I found the mice droppings a few weeks into my rental and the roaches as well. The whole point of a storage locker is to keep my belongings safe, secure and hopefully in the condition I brought them in. Now the first 2 criteria were met but the condition takes a hit when you factor in mice and other rpest issues which is why I give this 2 stars.

Pro tip for current residents or those that have no alternative: invest in buying 100% pure peppermint oil-online by the litre would be better vs local in-store offerings- as it really does repell both rodents, roaches and most pests, it worked for me. Remove all belongings and wipe the storage floor down with some dilluted bleach first before applying peppermint mixture (the bleach will help disenfect the area from any mice droppings better than a dustpan and broom. Secondly add 1: 1 equal parts water and peppermint oil to a spray bottle, shake well and do the following. Spray the walls down while also applying the solution to cotton balls which you place around the openings, each corner of the unit, along the walls and amongst your belongings. What this does is creates a strong odour barrier that repells all rodents, roaches and pests as they're all very sensitive to strong smells, best part is this is a natural oil which means no harsh chemicals that will have adverse side effects on your skin or damage your belongings. This strong barrier will last for a week so you have to develop the habit of making sure to visit weekly and do a quick spray of the walls and reapplying the solution to the cotton balls. From my personal experience this literally solved my pest issue as I no longer found Rodent droppings or roaches in my locker.cant stress enough as this only works if you stay on top of it. A + is your belongings will have a subtle peppermint smell to them.

Poorly run, checkout was extremely long even with having a reservation ahead of time. Employees Confused over reservations. Over charging, and providing miss information, asking repetitive questions, saying repetitive statements.

They do greet you with a smile when you enter. But the check out process is beyond painful and just terrible.

Charged us for moving pads and a dolly that we never received. Changed the pickup location on us to this location that was not convenient at all. Like this was the only location that has a 15" truck? With all the Uhaul locations throughout the city?

This was a painful experience!

This is one of their biggest locations with a lot of equipment available. It is best to make a reservation in advance for trucks. The price per day is good, where they get you is on the mileage. We were not moving far so that didn't affect me. We actually had to rent 2 trucks. It all worked out well. I would rent from them again.

Worst customer service I ever had. They dont even do their work properly took so long just to take back the truck. Lady came on shift and went to washroom and comes back after 20 minutes. Never recommend anyone. Just stay away if you want to save your time and money.

Lots of rental vehicle selection. Big place. Ladies behind the counter were wonderful and friendly. Im thinking they were understaffed though, it took about an hour to fill my reservation and get me on my way. They have no parking, which is absolutely ridiculous. If you like mice in your storage unit, feel free to rent!
Make sure you PAY for the option to have access to your locker as every time you have to enter, you have to go wait in line for them to give you the key to access your locker as well as have your own lock. Not enough staff. Turnover staff is very high. Manager doesn't return calls. 1*

Truck rental was fast and easy and everything I needed. I give that a 5*

Criminally understaffed, don't book a rental here unless you wanna spend 20 mins on hold when trying to book and then another 20 minutes waiting in line to pick it up. Very unprofessional, staff don't have time to help customers thoroughly.

I will never return to this location! Being a Caucasian senior citizen born in Canada over 60 years ago, I have 40 years of working and life observations to evaluate my customer experiences in comparison. All staff at this location appear to be people with brown skin color. During a slow Thursday afternoon @ 1: 15 pm, I was in line with just 1 person ahead of me, also with brown color skin. The U-haul staff stretched out that basic purchase carrying on with extensive idle banter upon completing the transaction for as long as possible until the only customer in the store, broke off the conversation and left the building after I waited my first 5 minutes. Then I was the only person standing directly in front of the U-haul staff waiting to be called to the counter. Another female staff walked into the room and sat at the customer help desk next to the other female, as they both then carried on conversations with no relation to U-haul business, totally ignoring me as I waited another full 2 minutes for these people to decide to sell me 10 small boxes. Just another example of a disgruntled U-haul workers with little authority, taking every opportunity to abuse a customer.

Isn’t it a requirement to know how to manage a team and how to maintain customer service? This store manager Christine, is a very disrespectful unorganized person, she treated me so bad that I might never come to uHaul again! She was eating a cone of ice cream while at the desk, her mouth was so full while speaking, and then all of a sudden she started talking about who Is with me when I told her that isn’t important what I need done is important, she started to get mad at me and calling me names and telling me she wouldn’t help me and that I should find another location! I was shocked! She started an argument and when I said to focus on what needs to be done she refused service? Is it that easy to cancel a reservation and refuse service? What are uHaul’s standards if people like her can just walk all over you, I felt like I was in prison and she was the guard! Canada is too ahead in caring for its people to have someone like this ruin Canadian services for us. She is an embarrassment to uHaul and I will never step foot in that store as long as she is there. And if uHaul won’t do anything about it cause they don’t care well then I will boycott every uHaul I know and make sure no one in my circle ever uses it, she made me feel like a low life over an argument that she started! She is a disgrace to Canadians everywhere!

My neighborhood store, I went for boxes to ship out cargo, unused boxes were returned and my account credited. Very friendly staff, help you with carryout. I haven't used storage options, only moving.

This place is always busy, which is good, right? So sometimes the wait is long, but I always get what I want so it's worth it. The staff is okay, too.

Not sure what to say here! Used multiple times this summer, always a problem! No matter how far ahead you made reservations, they still did not have item available at a nearby location! I had to drive to a much further location to pick up. Then, they rarely had enough staff on hand - end of month, early morning, one person checking in Customers. Tried doing App online: Everything confirmed complete online, in morning to pick up truck, App did not allow me to complete pickup. Still had to go to counter and wait 45 minutes!

Terrible customer experience. First they made me drive 30 minutes from where I reserved. Then they asked for a secondary number to verify. Then they told me they were going to call the secondary number to check it. I've rented dozens of times and even had uHaul storage for 3 years. Totally disrespectful and rude. Told me it was policy so my policy is to never use uHaul again. They don't trust me so I won't use them.

This place is always so busy with never enough staff. Some staff are friendly and the others seem as though they don't even want to be there. The line up is unorganized. Today is Sept 1st and the wait to just purchase boxes was ridiculous. Not impressed.

Rented a truck from them on labour day weekend, probably one of their busiest weekends. Value for money was excellent, truck was clean and reliable and all the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a large queue of people waiting but U-Haul encourage you to do the online reservation to cut down on waiting time, which we done and got it arranged within 5 minutes of arriving!

Very bad experiencing here. I was wait here 2 hours only for check in. Staffs attitude is very bad, when I trying to negotiate with them, they drove their truck to hit my car.

Well what should I say about those bad people in this location, I hope the head office close this location for people sake, June 12th, i called and booked storage for june 30th and i asked the customer service that if i book the storage on 30 and come july 1st they said yes, anyway i went to the storage and told them hey guys i have my order number confirmed the RUDE manger said it’s canceled and we’ll try to get you new one (which is should be the same that i booked i mean should be outside one not inside storage) apparently she got me inside one i said i have to drop the truck at your location in 3 hours I cannot move all the stuff inside in this time, anyway when we went to the storage it was locked and it was belong to somebody else, then the RUDE manger we’re sorry we don’t have storage anymore, look i have reservation and order number but the gave the storage to somebody else, above all that the employer that was registering me to the FAKE storage was too slow (I mean took me about 30 minutes for just to put my phone number and address in the system) trust me guys, THIS LOCATION IS AWFUL. Don’t ever try it

Worst Service ever. They updated the wrong info in the system. Bothered me for their mistake. Desk representative admitted their mistake and still got charged twice.

Slow as hell on the desk inside. Take the person at the counter 30 minutes to fill out drivers license info! No one else on the desk seems to want to work! Needs better management!

The grunts outside are taciturn but competent. Pauline at the desk is grump and a slouch to boot. $170 for a one day enclosed-trailer rental is also quite expensive.
