U-Haul Moving & Storage at Milton Crossroads

I originally reserved a truck online a few days prior, to be picked up in Milton and dropped off In Brantford. Instead they called me less than 24 hours before my pick up and told me that they had no trucks available. The only option they gave me was to pick up a truck in Oakville but I had to return it to Oakville. They adjusted the rate but on top of the 1.5 hours of extra driving I had to do with the truck it costed more then when I originally booked it because of the extra KM’s I had to do.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The process of returning the truck after hours after a long day of moving is ridiculous and unsafe. Its a 5 step process: questionaire, photo shoot of the truck inside and out. If the photo is not to the apps liking it turns the photo frame red wont let you proceed until you take a picture the app likes. 10: 30 pm back of a warehouse no one around it took me 45 mins as the app kept failing on me and I would have to start the check in process again. If you don't complete the online return after hours they charge you.

The service at the Milton location was on point. Although it was busy at 9 am on Saturday the associates were very friendly and helpful in getting our rental to us as quickly as they could. The pre-check-in completed days prior certainly aided in the process.
We were however very disappointed with the condition of the truck. The interior was filthy! Stuck with cigarette smoke and there were cigarette butts left in the door handle of the driver's side. Clearly, the truck was not cleaned prior to us renting. The truck sounded horrible when driving, honestly felt like we were going to break down while driving on the highway.
This is the second time we have attempted to rent from U Haul, both times we were notified only days before our date the truck and trailer we booked were not available. Although the contact centre worked hard this time in helping us find a solution to this, the first time there were no options and we were left stranded with no trailer for our son's move back to residence. U Haul you need to get better at making sure what your customer books is available once the confirmation is received.

Excellent, Working professionally, Explained everything at the time of renting, Location is neat and clean.

Poor system app. Spent 2 hours to complete the rental process. Not a quick stop. Too much time wasted. Headaches before/on the day of the pick-up. Abused the fine prints.

Return equipment department (at milton / steels Avenue) lady was very friendly and provided excellent customer service

Very unprofessional and rude staff. They misspelt my name and then told me that they cannot change it. I had to be on the phone for over an hour and UHaul made me jump from one department to another. Vanessa, the general manager at the Milton ON store, was very rude and banged the phone. She really doesn't deserve to be in customer service, maybe they can use her in non-customer-facing roles. I will surely not go to this location if the staff is not changed.

Such a great bunch and Location 1000% recommend this location to anyone for all your Moving and Storage Needs.

The online booking was easy, however, the online check in was confusing and no clear instructions at the dealer how to pass the line and get the key.

Almost everything was good. Young kid at the front had some attitude issues for some reason but overall I got the job done with minimal hassle.

Verbally abusive employee by the name of Jim who pretty much erupted when myself and another customer came to him to drop off our cargo van keys. Half the staff had something to say about him when we went inside to complain. We were told to leave an email. Staff seem completely unprofessional with customer issues, figure it out folks!

Golden staff, with patience and high level of understanding. The gentleman there took his time to explain and rectify all queries… super kind staff and provided amazing service. Thank you!

If I could give them a zero I would! Staff at front desks are absolutely terrible, rude sarcastic and not friendly at all! They don’t honour your reservations and refuse to show you the storage locker you are going to rent so they want you to sign a lease on a space you haven’t even seen! Will never set my foot in this place ever and I highly recommend you don’t either!

It’s UHUAL, what else I can say. Their boxes are cheaper than other stores if you buy a pack. They will take the unused boxes back.

We have been at this U-Haul for almost a year and we felt that we needed to put a review because of how happy we are at this facility! The consistency of the service, the cleanliness of the facility and the reliable customer service are top notch. The staff are very friendly, professional and reliable, specifically Vanessa, who we believe is the Manager, she is always on top of things, very professional and always helpful. We highly recommend this location.

This location was a good experience for us they were fast and efficient with service, also kind, organized, and clean, there is enough U-Haul trucks and more if you need a U-Haul go check out this location.

Phone in your waiting on hold, come in and your waiting while they figure out if your reservation is there.they find your equipment you reserved youre now waiting for someone to help you find the equipment, if you need help youre also waiting for someone to help. Build in about 90 mins of waiting and a few years of patience.

Even though there was a lineup, it moved quickly. The lady at the check-in desk was professional, knowledgeable, and quick with my reservation. The truck was clean and ready to go, the young guys at the truck check in/return. We’re very quick professional as well.

I've been in the storage twice I guess.it is well kept, well organized, safety measures in place. I've noticed reminders and other information posted on the walls visible to everyone like tenants and movers. We've purchased some packing supplies. Staff were not really that connected to the customers so I couldn't give them a 5 stars in terms of customer service. They have lots of packing supplies available for sale.

Reserved a truck in advance with confirmation and night before picking up got a text saying that the truck wasn’t available.

Great experience with this location uhaul team. Renting my 2nd storage unit from them as well as having rented many trailers from them. Vanessa & team is always helpful and respectful to the customer.

Beth was absolutely amazing to deal with. She went the extra mile and promised me a 5x5 unit by Friday and she delivered. Many thanks Beth.

Booked a hitch installation for 7am on a Saturday morning. When I showed up they said they didn't get the wire in time and there's no one in to install the hitch. They tried calling me using an unidentified number the day before. I missed the call and they couldn't be bothered to leave a message. Very unprofessional.

Amazing customer service from Chris and the rest of the team. Went in for a hitch installation, and due to shipment issues the parts weren’t there that day. Chris went above and beyond to make sure the parts were in so my hitch could be installed before my big move! Beyond grateful for all the smiles and laughs shared in store. Thank you again!

U-Haul has become my choice for truck rentals as they allow you to do 90% of the pickup online. Still need to walk in to get the keys, but you can skip the line. I often book the night before - they usually have a lot of availability for rentals.

This U-Haul is hands down the best I have ever been to! After a last minute cancellation at a separate U-Haul, Beth at this location spent a ton of time troubleshooting, making calls and working with me to make my move a success. I cannot say enough good things about Beth’s professionalism, humour and sheer grit as she helped me. It was quite honestly the best customer service I have ever received. Would recommend this location to anyone hands down!

U-Haul Every thing is very good but when you need to drop off key after 7 pm office closed, the website is hard to use please it easy and improve your website make it more easy.

I would strongly recommend staying far away from this location if you are able to find storage elsewhere. They are apparently incapable of answering emails after the first response and will instead charge you late fees for mistakes that they have clearly made and do not want to admit to.

On top of this, my entire experience in renting the storage unit from them in the first place was an absolute nightmare, where I wasn't aware I would need photo id and was forced to pay additional fees for my truck rental because of this.

These guys are fantastic. Store is super clean and products are fairly priced. Boxes are inexpensive. We purchased all of our moving supplies here as they have a full compliment of moving supplies. By this, I mean… things that I didn’t even know existed. Staff are pleasant, understanding and excellent communicators. Product selection is complete and thoroughly addresses typical moving needs. We are lucky to have this Uhaul in Milton. Great job team Uhaul!

Inexplicably rude. Stopped by to ask about a unit and the staff was so unhelpful and weirdly sarcastic, I decided to go somewhere else.

Disappointing experience. Messed up the reservation. No apology. In fact the person on the counter Vanessa was constantly rolling her eyes. No effort made whatsoever to make a bad situation better.

I’ve been parking my vehicle and my employer has been renting a unit where we use it as a workplace extension. We store our tools and material that we use day to day, the washrooms are usually spotless, the philippino morning janitor is a very nice guy and makes my morning visit a little more enjoyable.

Great bunch of people, efficient and courteous. U-Haul renting process is easy to manage and this team at Lawson Road Milton makes it a pleasure all the way from Checkin to return of the vehicle.

They need to do something about the parking situation here.there were only two customers inside but every parking spot was occupied (over 20 spots). Ridiculous.

Best U-Haul location I've been too. The vans are modernized with a back camera, super clean and no issues with the car. There was a line to get in but it moved super quickly. Loved this location! Highly recommended

Amazing staff, very kind and helpful. I am very happy with their service. I don't have enough words to say THANK YOU. I have to share my experience and explain how kind the staff was. My son picked up a Cargo van yesterday to transport some furniture and by the time we realized the van was too small, it was only 10 minutes before their closing time. I quickly called the lady at the Lawson U-Haul store and asked her if she could exchange the small van to a bigger truck and she said if we bring it before 7PM they will be able to exchange it, but if it's after 7PM, they will have to do it the next day as it was almost 7PM. However, I had to move the furniture yesterday night as I had to vacate the place for my Tenants the next day, and I didn't have much options left. Then I explained the story to the kind lady and she was very co-operative and kind and stayed way past her closing time to help me out. It was such a relief for me. I will always do business with U-Haul and I will recommend them to all my friends and relatives. Great Team! Great spirit!

What a great team. This was the best U-haul or rental experience I ever had. All employees worked well together, knew their roles and had a customer centric focus. Knowledgeable, helpful, quick and easy. I could not be happier with my rental start to finish and would recommend this location to everyone.

Had to move couple of truck loads of stuff. It was hassle-free and I found the staff very friendly.

Vehicle was ready and waiting before I arrived. Noah did a excellent job of checking me in and had the answers for all queries. The vehicle was clean and functioned as expected, though it would appear that the transmission is on the verge of giving problems. All in all I would use U-Haul for future moving services.

No complaints. Truck was clean and ready for me for my arranged pick up time. They also have a drop box for returning keys after hours which was convenient. I would definitely rent a truck from them again

Fast and Friendly service. I was able to order and pay for my items online which was very convenient and safe. This location is also very clean and organized so it’s easy to find what your looking for.

The poor girl was by herself and multiple guys outside leaving her to work 2 cash alone, stressful for her and customers, so many guys to get trucks and no one to help the poor girl at cash

Made an appointment 3 weeks ago for today to put a trailer hitch on my SUV. Got there today for our appointment and were told they couldn't do it, as they didn't have the parts. They made zero attempt to find the parts prior to the appointment, I know because I found another U Haul within 11 miles that had the parts. They also made zero attempt to inform us that they would not be completing the work today. They didn't call us to tell us, just waited for us to get there and then lied to our faces, saying they called. As if we didn't have the phone with us, showing no calls from them as well as no messages being left for us. We both took the day off work to get this done and just zero cares given by this business. Shameful.
