I attempted to rent an equipment two weeks prior to this recent rental. The front desk sales representative was incoherent either because he was "under the influence" or was totally disinterested with working. Maybe set up a weekly automated survey for workers to gauge employee morale and correct any issues.

I moved out my belongings on 28th of October and asked the guy who was sitting at thw counter. Who told me it will be closed and cancelled my auto pay. Due to him i have been charged delinquent fee of 15 dolars and never late on my bill. I had auto pay setup, this is my last time i will use or recommend u guys to someone. Also my account is still active and you guys are going to charge me for not uaing the storage.

I initially gave a bad review, but after picking up a truck and trailer there, I am changing it. It turned out service was quite good. A staffer hooked up the trailer for me and even pointed the truck and trailer combo onto the road so I just had to drive out. Returning was easy, just go to the green tent behind and drop off the keys. I'm not giving 5 stars though since the vehicle only had 1/4 tank of gas when I picked it up

Greeted with a smile at the front desk, very professional and patient.
First time renting a uhaul van. From start to finish, this location has always been my family’s go to place.
Van was clean and ready to go.
Finished up early, when I dropped off van all employees were friendly and helpful.
Especially John, he took a moment to explain a few things to me.

Long line up for check in and pick up truck. No parking available. Employees with bad attitude to serve customers. I have a $50 credit for reservation guarantee, and they did not add it to my invoice.

Why are you giving your vans to mallard delivery company at 880 Avonhead rd? They are delivering for Amazon and hiring international students under 25 to drive. Do you not see the amount of damage done? They don't even change the lights.

Customer service is extremely bad. Staff know that customer needs truck, and has NO choice. They don't care about customer. In my whole experience only one girl was found nice and respectful.

Terrible service.
- no help
- impossible to get through to them
- no trailer availability
- on the phone waiting for way to long
- reservation made even though I asked not to when told there was no availability
- the one time they answer I'm forced to listen to them jabbering in a foreign language, still ignoring me
- all they seem to do is put you on hold, they used to be good, I rent trailers all the time, complete nose dive in customer service & availability.
Can't think of worse customer service.

One of the worst customer service. Please avoid using this location as customer service is pathetic.we booked a Day ago for a 5*8 trailer.confirmed several times. Drive to location and find out they overbooked it.

Worst place ever to install a Hitch. I reserved and paid for an installation of a hitch. Was given an appointment a month away. One day before the appointment they call me to cancel it due to a bulls&$t excuse and also the fact that they do not have the necessary parts in stock. Avoid the headache and go to a more serious business.

Woman with the headphones on was rude and uncaring. The van was dirty inside and out had not been cleaned, left me with under a 1/4 tank told me to fill it myself. You decide if you want to spend your money like this.

I just had a Neighbor have a terrible experience before a needed and scheduled rental. They had a uhal tech install trailer electrical on their car, it wasn’t tested and when they picked up the trailer they blamed the issue on their car. They didn’t test or commission and told their paying customer they had to figure it out. They left them stranded! Beware of this hack company.

I booked a hitch install appointment through the call center at this location. When I drove an hour and half (other locations close to me were booking 5 weeks out) I was told that they didn't have that hitch in stock. I was obviously upset. Sheldon the installer went above and beyond by taking it upon himself to drive to another location and pick up a hitch and install it. Thank you Sheldon!

I rent uhauls regularly for work. I use this location when my closer one doesn't have availability. I always book online and have never had any issues. Show up, get the truck within minutes and I'm off. My only complaint is that there's very limited parking so I end up taking an uber to get there and back. Not the biggest problem for me personally but something to consider.

The location NEvER picks up their phone. It always go to a call centre. Would suggest finding and alternative location. Polite staff on site but they need to answer their calls! B

The booking line takes 30 minutes or more to get through every time, which is not this store's fault. They also booked me for 8am and sent me a confirmation. When I got to the store they didn't say anything about the time required, so I left the car and said I'd be back at 10am. I was no where close to home with no car so I found things to do. At 10am it was just being looked at.

All and all, it was done 3 hours later for a 45 minute install. The installer didn't give me much confidence either, so I just hope nothing goes wrong.

June 26th 2021 - The 20 foot truck i had reserved was given to another customer. They said that this was done because my reservation was cancelled and because I was "30 minutes late". Except I had been waiting in line for 20 minutes to get to the front counter as there were 10 people in front of me with only one attendant at the front counter. I was not notified that my reservation was about to be cancelled and my assigned truck given to another customer.

They said they could only give me a 10 foot truck instead when I got to the front counter. In what world is this acceptable? How do I move a three bedroom house with a 10 foot truck?

They were very unhelpful and kept saying they could do nothing to help. I have never been faced with such poor customer service. I ended up having to rent two uhaul trucks, each from a different location and pay double the original estimated amount all because of the employees, service etc at this location.

After numerous calls ro other locations and waiting on hold, driving to many different uhaul locations to hunt down another truck in Milton, brampton etc I finally was able to complete.y move on the same day. A f5 hour move to 12 hours, o finished around 2AM.

They offered me no discounts or any other concessions for all the hassles and problems they created on my move. Moving is stressful enough without having this location try its best to deliver a poor customer experience and handle your reservation with contemp.

In case you think this was a one off mistake by one employee -> while I was trying to find a solution to the problem they created for me - another customer at the other counter also had their reservation cancelled for being "late". They too were frustrated with the situation and poor customer experience. Trust me this location has no ethical standards and will not help you in anyway. Stay far far away.

Get your uhaul truck from Oakville, Milton, brampton - or even drive to Ottawa if you have to but stay away from this location. Dont say you weren't warned!

The below review has been provided to U-HAUL on their website. The below is in response to my order # 27248836 from this afternoon June 5,2021 appointment for u-haul's installation of a trailer kit (or lack thereof) on my Acura MDX.

Does U-HAUL care about customer service? ?
This location has terrible reviews online and I have to add one more bad review to add to the list.

Firstly, they were overbooked and they did not install the items on the time i booked my appointment.

Secondly, when my dad (who is a senior citizen) arrirved for the appointment with my car on my behalf, they informed him that the parts (ball mount and ball) was not available.

Thirdly, they told him that the couldn't install the wiring kit as it takes more time and they were already running late with all their appointments. I spoke to the person at the office on the phone. I informed her to go ahead with the installation of the rest of the items and I will take care of the wiring kit install on my own

And finally when my dad picked up the vehicle after the installed (after more than 3 hour delay), they had not installed the ball mount, the ball and the pin like i discussed with the lady in the office. They only installed the hitch and that was it.

This was a enormous waste of my time and it is really disappointing.

It is also unable o call any of the uhaul locations in my area as they put you on hold forever or do not answer calls altogether,

If I call the u-haul customer service line, the wait time is on average more than 40 minutes.

Overall, I would give u-haul a big f&*5king F in terms of service delivery.

The market really needs a new player who can provide this service in a better manner. I am willing to pay more if I am able to get better service.

Had an amazing experience, I booked a truck, came picked up the keys, and got on my way, truck was clean, truck had half tank gas, and staff was very friendly, first u haul I have seen where they have storage and lots of trucks and trailers! Really nice experience, will always go here for a rental

I booked a hitch install appointment through the call center at this location. We booked a 24hour truck 10' and set up a mobile check in and confirmed our reservation with customer support via phone as well as online check in. However, the next day front desk help at this location, called "Ashley claimed it is very similar to a restaurant how we run our business here, we have cancelled your booking one hour into the booking and we would not sent a cancellation notification at all". Amazing!

Not sure what the name of the employee was, but she screwed us up with our reservation. We mentioned we need truck Friday and Saturday and she said ok, she gave my husband reservation for Friday. When we went to ask for a change in the dimension of the truck for wither Friday or Saturday, she said we do not have a reservation for Saturday as she cannot book a truck for more than 24 hours for same person. We were one week into the move, and we had movers and booked the elevator to move, but no truck. She said there is nothing to do, as they do not have any availability. She never mentioned this issue when we were there to book, we could have made a reservation into our company or my name. Nothing.she just knew from the beginning she is screwing us up.

Booked hitch install online, called to confirm, told I was scheduled in. Showed up Saturday morning, greeted by an employee (Yusef) with a "WASSUP? ".
Was told that the Hitch Installer wasn't in until the afternoon and he was too busy with other hitch installs. Awesome.

I understand that there was a mix-up but when I called to confirm the younger girl who works there told me to come in.
Disorganized, Unprofessional. Read the reviews.look at the ratings.

What a nightmare from beginning to now to deal with these Uhaul pods which are currently in storage (or so we hope given we have over $8000 worth of stuff in them). Getting them dropped off almost didn't happen (I won't go into the full story but it was nightmare and such a mess).

I just went to book the drop off date and not only can they not locate them in the system but was told by a rep on the phone that "hopefully one of the pods didn't get dropped off at someone else's house and they emptied it out and kept the stuff and lied about it". DID YOU REALLY JUST SAY THAT? ! I have never heard such atrocious customer service in my entire life. Fingers crossed they find out uboxes and they get safely delivered on the appropriate date but not looking good at this time.

Unfortunate experience and horrible attempt at booking a trailer over the phone.customer service at uhaul is definitely not their forte and definitely don’t train their employees how to properly greet customers.later that day I went to this same store to buy some boxes and I might as well just cashed myself out.this is why these places are going obsolete. Waste of time!

I would hate to ever think anyone in business would be this incompetent, and it really disappoints me to say that the service here was an absolute mess. Avoid them at all costs.

A simple transfer of ownership took one month of back and fourth. After being escalated to a supervisor it was finally complete only to hear a couple weeks later that an unrelated emergency contact who was no way connected to the new owner was being charged for the unit mistakenly.

After days of being on the phone with UHaul customer service no one seem to be able to correct the invoice and seemed to be ok with charging an innocent third party for a unit they are in no way related to illegally. There was no consent or authorization.

And no one in customer service can apparently do anything about it.

Something so simple administratively can be such a disaster. I wouldn’t trust them.

Lost complete confidence in their services.
I would give them -5 stars if I could.

We are extremely disappointed with the service we received today. Upon entering to the first desk, there were 2 men at the computer, one standing and one sitting. Without even speaking to me the man named Sheldon waved with his finger for me to move to the next counter, which we found rude and disrespectful. I thought he was busy with his colleague but when I moved and their computer screen was visible, I saw that they were playing a video game. How unprofessional is that! Later on when I was receiving the truck, this same guy was giving me the keys. I found 2 dents on the truck and I requested that they be mentioned on my papers before I drive the truck or it be replaced. He showed extreme attitude and he said shockingly to me "what a waste of time". I cannot believe that this is the customer service I received at a company like UHaul! Lastly, he was giving me back my documents for me to leave so I said to him: please fix your attitude. And he responded: you have to fix yours too. Unbelievable! I will never use UHaul again! I will tell my friends and family about this experience.

Extremely unprofessional. Long wait times, lots of excuses and unhelpful staff. Spend your money somewhere else, it's not worth the multiple trips for a simple task.

I received a call from Uhaul from the Claim's department on October 10th 2019. The agent called because on her system she saw that a vehicle that was apparently rented by me on August 22nd, 2019 was involved in an accident. I was at work the entire day and do have time sheet proof that i was there and did not rent a vehicle that day. She provided the location that the van was rented from. I finally was able to get through with this location this morning and spoke to a person by the name of Youseff. After providing my phone number he was not able to find any rentals on that date. I asked him to pull up by my name which he did and was able to find the rental. My Driver's license number was FRAUDULENTLY used to rent a van at this location. During the rental process, the agent is supposed to check the picture on the driver's license to verify that it is indeed the person renting it which they didn't do. Youseff said that the manager was in at 10 am he was passing the contract over to him to follow up with me directly. I called the Toronto police and filed a police report because of this. I called back the location at 3: 19 pm to enquire why i wasn't followed up with by the Manager. Youseff said that they were busy and the Manager has more important things to tend to. I guess IDENTITY FRAUD is not a priority that this location takes important. The answers provided by Youseff comprised of mostly stuttering and "amm" and "well" like I was the one who was supposed to figure this out for myself.

MY NOTE ABOUT THIS LOCATION: They are very unprofessional, untrustworthy and very misleading. I hope they are able to resolve this situation because I shall be escalating this issue higher.

We had two appointments to have a hitch installed. The first time waited in line for forty minutes only to find they didn’t have the parts. On the second appointment they had the vehicle for about four hours and still couldn’t do the work. Also the tech went home with the keys. We had to wait an hour for him to come back to the location and return the keys. I have never seen anything so unprofessional. They didn’t have the courtesy to communicate that they couldn’t do the work. I would not ever recommend U-Haul for anything

Great place, friendly staff, and the cheapest place to fill you bbq propane tank.where you only get charged for the propane you get, not flat rate like everyone else.no more worries of running out mid bbq, when tank gets low, simply get it topped up and enjoy worry free bbq ing

Excellent service, very efficient and friendly staff. I rented a van for a day and everything from pick up to drop off and billing went very smooth. Van was clean and in excellent serviced condition. Strongly recommend this location.

Charged me $2.15 to make an appointment to have a trailer hitch installed & when they said they did not have the parts I canceled the appointment.
I have not yet had a refund of the $2.15.

Don't rely on online reservation you won't get any vehicle even if you got a confirmation. Only a lucky few get to go with the right booked item. Customer service is not good either so try going to some other location to get your desired equipment even if you have to get it from neighboring city.

Waited 15 minutes to fill a propane tank, politely asked for service twice and was brushed off, it was quiet and there were no other customers - gave up and went elsewhere. Employees were busy chatting in the store.
