Be careful renting from here. They force you into a larger vehicle then what was ordered. They charge you an extra DAY for the rental when you're 30 min late. The service at this location is terrible. Ordering online does no count for what they actually provide you. They over charge the mileage even when you describe specific distance

I have been renting from this location on and of through out the years, but my last experience was very good. I rented a 10' truck and found that is has wheel wells, this was going to cause an issue with the load I was to transport. Even though the staff here could not remedy the issue they definitely did everything they could to try and help me out. That's what customer service is all about.

Place is a dump. The service is trash. The company service is trash. Totally slow and lazy and completely unhelpful. Can’t find anyone to help. The app is trash. The website is trash. Use Ryder they’re proper. I swear to God you’ll turn into a skeleton waiting to be served. It’s such an easy job. They’re so f’in lazy. All they do is socialize. You have to be a reptile or have zero competence and class to serve people like this.

Poor customer service that gets even worse when you ask for a managers help. Manager Sherrileigh Holder extremely rude and refused to help customer with very obvious mistake by uhaul, just needed help and instead was laughed at.

The manager at this uhal conducts business with the inclination of a emotional child. Has no sense of customer interaction or how to resolve simple conflict. If you are doing business at this location, just exercise some serious patience and don't expect the manager to help in any most of the other staff have more sense.

Looking at all the reviews I was a bit apprehensive, but I had a very smooth experience. Sarge helped me with hooking up the trailer in the rain and was very kind and helpful, on return Eric helped me, even though I was there before the official opening time of the location.

We rent a truck in January. The girl at the front desk is very nice and professional. But there was a big guy who served outside was so rude when we rent before. I am not sure if he still work there.

They try to scam me and charge me after I’ve returned the truck and car dolly hoping I will not notice it and they can get away with it. Thieves at this location charged me $67.80 for 2 days late return when I returned the car dolly 2 days before it was due. And when I called them they kept transferring my call to uhaul central contact which had long wait times.also when I returned the fuel it was checked by the rep and was above required level but they still they charged me next day $15.85 was charged to my card. Scammers!
Be aware of them when u take any rental and keep a note and pictures. I took a van for 1 day and they scammed me of 3 days.
I called them 100 times and they didn’t solve my issue. I asked them to check their cctv and they didn’t do that even.

Rented an enclosed trailer here! Great staff throughout and easy pickup process. Also very easy to return trailer using their website. My only gripe would be that the trailer had dirt inside it on the floor - would've been nice if they had swept it. Despite this minor inconvenience, I would recommend highly!

Charged me for stealing items which weren't available with neighbourhood dealer on day of pick-up. I called to explain that I never got the item they claim I stole, they agreed to give me a refund in a 50-min process, never gave the refund. Also charged me for miles + a day which were 'gifted' during the online booking but somehow the 'gifted' miles + day weren't included in the contract. They also agreed to refund for the contradiction between online quote & contract, yet I never got the refund. Dishonest company or incompetent staff to its core.

Last night (June 7,2022) while we unloaded our stuff to a indoor unit, the sliding door shut us out. The access code wouldn’t work. Our unit was still open with our stuff inside and the truck was half unloaded (We couldn’t return it as we planned to.) I couldn’t sleep through the night worrying about our stuff in the wide open unit. I called the acting manager on duty after 7 am the next morning, asking for help. His name is Joey. Joey solved the problem right away. He put a lock on the unit and waved the extra day charge to the truck. He handled the situation professionally and efficiently. Five stars to him!

Stay away. They are the absolute worst service of any business. Go to a smaller independent. Always an issue at this location. You can never have someone answer. When there is a mistake impossible to get a proper follow up. Run run and run. Go somewhere else it’s horrible here. Absolutely horrible. Worst customer service. Can't comment on the company as a whole but avoid this location. Was put on hold three times and no one came back to pick up the call. Had to lineup three times to get a van that works. The first one had a broken parking brake release and couldn't shift from park (this was after I loaded everything into the van). Had to lineup again to tell them they gave me a faulty van. They gave me keys for a new one so I can unload and reload to the new van. Had to lineup a third time to give them back the keys for the original van and complete the new paperwork. It took me about 40 mins to complete the transaction. As a result, I was an hour late bringing the van back and they charged me for an extra day. After seeing the charge, I waited nine days to see when the "hold" will be released. I was never emailed a final receipt to see how much I actually owe and had to call them back after nine days to find out and get my refund back. They won't contact you if they owe you a refund, that's on the customer. I chose this location because of the convenience of it being right off the 401 but I'll sacrifice that for a hassle-free experience next time and go to another location or Enterprise.

Booked a trailer 3 days before online and since u haul says it's 100 percent guaranted reservation seems to not apply to this specific warden/401 location. I made the reservation for a trailer for a FULL 24 hours (made the reservation at 745 pm to 745 pm the next day) - this part is important.

When I went to go pick up my "reserved" trailer i was told that they did not have the trailer that I booked 3 days in advanced and I over heard that they gave it to a customer that did not place a reservation instead.

Their excuse was that the customer did not return the trailer at a specific time and I asked them if they bothered calling the customer asking where the trailer is in which they replied "oh we will call them now"

LUCKILY when they went out back to see if they could find a replacement (which I didn't bother wanting since I needed a specific size/specific trailer) they had the trailer I needed.

I come around back to get the trailer and waited for a good 5 minutes before someone came to assist me putting the trailer on.

I get a call the next day at approximately 745 am asking where the trailer is. I told them I booked it for a full 24 hours, I picked up the trailer at 745 pm last night and you are asking me where the trailer is? !
I guess the specific worker who I was giving a hard time to decided to be petty and placed the 24 hour reservation I had made and placed it as 745 am instead.

This location has piss poor customer service and clearly does not care about the reservation system. Avoid this location and go somewhere else because I know I'am

Unable to fulfill trailer hitch install, due to supply issues. Another person I know had same issue at this lactation (pre-covid). Originally booked May 18 2021 for June 17 2021. It is August and still not complete. They have rescheduled multiple times and no have me booked for Aug 27. I don’t have confidence in their ability to deliver. Don’t waste your time. Safe Pull got me covered and already installed back In July. Comparable price.

Worst service at any uhaul location ever. Rented trailer at 6: 30pm, no one is there to help us. We ended up getting the trailer at 7: 45pm. We were not credited for this delay.

At the trailer return, we returned before our contract due time, but still got charged an extra “late return” fee. Our trailer was actually returned EARLY at 5pm.

It is best to avoid this uhaul location. If you do rent here, check your credit card statement carefully. They may add on extra charges.

I was given a van with the wrong amount of mileage and then overcharged for their mistake after an employee told me she took care of the problem which I showed her before leaving the location. There was a long line up outside that I waited half an hour to get in to get the van, then when I got the van and there was an issue with them underreporting the mileage on my contract the girl at the door never even let me in to rectify the situation before leaving. I now have been overcharged for their mistake that I have proof of. I was told to report the issue on the website but when you enter the information it tells you the milage can't be adjusted and to see a customer service agent, but then I wasn't let back in the store to speak to someone. Worst experience I ever had with any rental company. Unless you want to be overcharged I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone.

After getting a quote from U-Haul, I was directed to contact my local store to make the arrangements. I called my local store at Warden many times and then never answered the phone.
I went on site, the person said that they don't know if they have it or not but if I wanted it I would have to pay for it up front and it might take 6 to 8 weeks. There was no other information about it either. Note: A friend of mine has been waiting for her hitch to be installed for over 3 months now and it keeps getting pushed back.
Honestly that's pretty pathetic.
The person that was taking care of me was constantly distracted with something else and didn't seem to care one bit.

I recommend Paul who installed my trailer hitch on my Honda pilot. He showed me what will be done and gave me a heads up with his concerns as i do have an older vehicle which i was expecting. Very friendly and on the ball.

We paid for added insurance to cover our stuff. Some of our stuff was ruined because of a hole in the storage unit that let water in. We figured that is okay since we have insurance! WRONG! They will reimburse us only the amount as if it depreciated. We can’t even buy our kids new beds because the stuff apparently depreciated in value. What kind of scam is that? We should have had the amount to buy our children their beds returned! What it would cost to buy the exact same bed.

Anyways, DONT BUY THE INSURANCE! It’s likely more than you would get in return!

I made a purchase of hitch and installation to this location Last Mach 22 2021, the order online went great and no problem sending notification to me after I successfully have my order online, however before my schedule 2 days before they call me April 2, my schedule day was April 4th they said that my hitch was on back order so theynreschedule me after two weeks received another call that they rebooked me again for another two weeks. I have told them to just process a refund.why in the inventory dod not monitor that my hitch is out of stock.no explanation not willing to give any remediation.so turn out tobe bad experience

Rented a trailer from this location on April 29th; big moving day, so the place was busy. Place was well staffed, moved people through quickly and were super friendly. Extra shout out to the guy in the yard who helped put the hitch on my truck (it was rusted after not being used for a while) and who did the complete hook up. Can book on line, complete the vehicle/equipment inspection on line before leaving and get emailed invoice; seamless. Will use this location again.

Picked up a 15 foot truck here today at 930am. After doing the paperwork we hopped in the truck to start our day of moving. The truck was almost out of gas.less than 1/4 tank. Why would your first stop have to be at a gas station? I called and was put through to an unknown woman (hung up on me when I asked for her name). They did not offer an apology no offer any free km to compensate us for the extra time we had to stop for gas. Poor service and to hang up on a customer when they ask your name is in acceptable U haul. If you don t want to use your name don t answer the phone. Needless to say I will not be returning here any time soon

The 1 star rating is for the Warden Branch, you people need to be trained on how to properly work with customers! You are rude, inconsiderate.

It took calling customer service up and in speaking with Karen whom resolved the issue within 10min. I am thankful that at least u-haul hires employees whom are understanding, considerate, and know how to speak to customers.

I will not ever refer anyone to your location! I will speak of my experience and share my experience.

You are the worst in customer service, and you are extremely rude!

I had complications with my u-box containers that were being shipped from Vancouver to this location. Merielle (the u-box manager here) did a fantastic job handling it. She was responsive via email and made sure all of our issues were sorted out. It was my best experience dealing with uhaul yet. THANK YOU!

TL;DR Don’t ever consider Uhaul! Their management is the worst I’ve ever encountered in my whole life. Their trucks are the least reliable on the market.
Here is my experience
I rented a truck on Oct 3 2020 13: 30pm at Eglinton street and the truck broke down at the traffic light after only 40 kilometres unloaded! Me and my poor friend waited there for 90 minutes for their roadside assistance. I asked Uhaul to get us another truck immediately as I arranged for everything on that day. They gave me a solid no and let us wait. After 90 minutes waiting in the truck, their road assistance came and after another hour trying to fix it they told us the truck was done and it was not our responsibility at all. After that, Uhaul finally agreed to get us another truck. Their head office got us a truck in a different city which is more than an hour drive so I turned them down and told them I would call Uhaul by myself to get a replacement truck and they agreed. I did find a truck all by myself calling Uhaul Canada at 1555 warden street and it was a little more than 20 min drive (Uhaul ordered us a Uber to there). After I moved only my personal belonging to my new place because it was already 7 pm and the furniture store I made appointment with was already closed. That night, I dropped the replacement truck at Eglinton Street because that’s where I parked my own car to pick up the first truck knowing that any reasonable company would accommodate this after all that has happened. I even called Uhaul again to let them know I couldn’t check out the truck on my phone because of the technical glitch on their website and they told me it’s ok.

After this, Uhaul called me back to give the money back for the first truck but charged my more than $200 for the second truck because of different drop off location. I called Uhaul headquarter to deal with this but they told me it was the local Uhaul branch that charged me so I should call Uhaul at 1555 warden instead. I called 1555 warden and they told me they were not responsible for this either. But after I insisted and told them the Uhaul headquarter told me to call them, they said to me they would call me back soon. This same conversation happened more than three times and they never called me back. Everyone I had to spend half and hour to explain what happens to me on that day but they didn’t even bother to take notes of that to save me some time. Still no call back. I’m here to let you guys know what happened to me so you will be aware of what they are capable of! Try to avoid Uhaul by all means if possible.

At the end I have to pay out of my pocket for the furniture delivery ($200) because I couldn’t trust Uhaul anymore. And just calling their headquarter at US coast me more than $20 dollars. Now they have charged me more than $200 for a replacement truck out of their truck’s own problem. I would never let such company get away with this.

I rented a 15ft truck for 2 hours and they tried to charge me for 2 days. When dropping off the truck I made sure to have everything signed, inspected and the rep said I was good to go. Based on my friends poor experiences here it all seemed too easy so I checked my bank account the day after and they charged me double. When I called the store Steve hung up on me after putting me on hold for 2minutes to check my order. I waited almost an hour to speak to someone and people kept picking up and hanging up. I ended up having to speak to 2 people at the main line and another 2 people at the warden location. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT AFTER. The other lady I spoke to said Steve probably hung up on me and reversed the charge. When I asked why they charged me twice they said the rep probably didn't report the truck was returned even though I signed all the paperwork and returned the keys.

I also emailed the general manager and it has been weeks and no response. Based on what I've seen and other reviews, My suggestion would be to have everything documented and video tape all your interactions with the workers there. Stick to Discount instead it's much better and you don't have to worry about things like this.

The only reason I justify a star is that it's the largest u haul location. Other than that it was the worst experience ever. Drove out with a 10ft truck and as soon as I was on the HWY the truck started to wobble and trying to control it's self. The traction control was malfunctioning and was trying to control itself but it was a dry day and not slipping at all. Can't believe I put up with it just because I had no option to change the move date as I was running out of time for the bookings I had with the condo. I returned it And told them about the issue and they didn't even care. I bet it's out with some other person and the issue will not be addressed unless it stops or crashes next time it's rented out.

Buyer beware! This place is ran by shady characters. They charged me with cleaning fee for moving a king size bed. Which kind of mess does king bed set makes? They also gave me a charge for after hour return. No Rental company charges you that anywhere in North America.

Hard working employees, so this is not against this location. I rented a trailer and I returned it. When I got home I went online to close the contract, and I couldn’t do it. I called Uhaul and customer service said I had to close the contract at the drop off location from my cell phone. This would have been nice to know at the time of the rental. The contract does not say anything about closing only at drop off location. There is a $20 “convenience” charge, also commonly known as "money grab" charge if you allow Uhaul employees to close the contract. I had to waste time and gas money to go back and close the contract.

I have never been so disgusted with a customer service rep in my life. The warden location is beyond rude and disrespectful. Safvanahmed Shaikh and Karishmaben Vahora have no manners and are disrespectful. Please hire better and more respectful staff. I was given a uhaul thAt wasn’t fit to be on road; door doesn’t close properly, lots of dents and brakes needed to be changed. I notified the location and they said the truck was perfectly fine and then were careless enough to give it to another customer. Customers are not their priority which is very concerning.

This review is long overdue.if I could rank this review 0 stars I would.
First and foremost, this Uhaul location is grossly understaffed. For years I have used this location to rent trucks for my business simply due to convenience as it is proximate to my facility.
I have never once received a truck with more than a 1/4 tank in gas.
Yesterday I went to pick up a truck at 4pm. Waited 35 minutes in line because there was only 1 staff member handling a lineup of 10+ customers.
The truck was supposed to have 1/4 tank in gas according to the paperwork but it was under a 1/4. I was in a rush to get to work so I didn't bother going back in and waiting another 30 mins to tell them the gas is under 1/4.
I returned the truck with exactly 1/4 in gas (more than I received it with).
This morning I reviewed my invoice and there is a $30+$20 fuel surcharge fee.
I called to bring this to their attention and I spoke to a “manager” who should quite literally be unemployed as he is an atrocious representation of this massive corporation.
He was speaking over me and not listening to what I had to say.
After only 2 mins of me trying to get my point across, he hung up on me.
Will I call and wait another 20mins for someone to pick up? No I won’t because my time is worth far more than $50. However this location will most definitely not get any more of my business and I will be sure to spread the bad word like wild fire.
Disgusting service on top of the fact that the trucks are dated and almost always dirty.

Good luck to this location. At this rate it will be closed for business very soon.
I’ll get my money back from VISA.

Got to rent uhaul one way here. I may have the agent name a bit wrong but I believe it's Fusteeny.she was absolutely great with customer service. She still kept her smile and patience even through the long line up. Also upgraded me to 15 foot truck from a 10 foot when my truck was not available and was waiting awhile. Now thats customer service. Great job.

I had a hitch installed today. I got there at for my scheduled time of 11: 45 am and met with the rep Layne. Super happy and pleasant person. She is a real people person and I liked how she calls everyone "honey" or "sweetie" as it makes us feel welcome. I was a little annoyed with the 20 minute delay but I enjoyed my conversations with her about her musical tastes. It was a pleasure to deal with someone who really enjoys their job as there are so many negative people out there. Installation was fast and I am excited to be installing my bike rack on Monday and start biking down on the lake shore paths. If I ever need a truck rental, I will be renting from this location for sure.

Rented a trailer at 7: 09 on Friday and returned the trailer at 6: 45 today, Monday. Their associate helped unhitch the trailer from my SUV and when I asked if I should wait until the office opened at 7: 00 AM the answer was no, he would check the trailer in. And, he did check the trailer in two hours later and now they are charging me for an extra day. They can clearly see my red SUV dropping the trailer at the right time on their video cameras. I have been on hold now with U-Haul for 43 minutes and then they hung up on me. I must say this is the first time that I have had an issue with U-Haul.
