Not professional service at all. When I mentioned that their parking is full of nails and other metal pieces, they said that they did not serve me instead of trying feedback into consideration and cleaning the parking area. Not coming back again!

There was a little confusion with the start/end date with the flex rate. But the sales rep fixed it up.
The truck had a check tire pressure light on the whole time. The service person said it is not a problem. Still an annoying thing to have on. The sales person lent us a padlock. And the prices for boxes and other equipment is much cheaper than home depot or other hardware stores. One item of information that would be helpful is to know what the fuel consumption of the truck is for topping up the tank. I was able to figure out it was 13 mpg (18 L/100 km). But only because I pushed the right button that told me.overall it was a good experience.

Had a great experience at this location, my was even able to get the truck a bit earlier and adjust the time to return later.
Everything was clean and the worker was polite.
Truck was a little wobbly in wheels, but had no issues overall.

I got ROBBED at this location. They keep using my debit card WITHOUT my authorization. I complained with Customer Service but it seems they do NOT care. I had to get a new card. Also, the assistant manager gave me a fake e-mail when I asked for help. I sent her the incorrect charge for a refund and the e-mail does not exist. RUN FROM UHAL IN GENERAL.

Horrible customer service, accused me of possibly stealing a truck because I was unsure how long I would be with the truck. I'm paying for 24 hours but they want to rent the truck mutiple times within the day.

The worst Customer service! Gave me all scratched van and tried to charge me for damage! Stay alway from this location. This business should shut down. I do not know who is owner or manager of this store but it is the worst U-haul in Toronto

As other people have mentioned, THIS LOCATION WILL TRY AND CHARGE YOU FOR PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE!

Take pictures of the vehicle before you drive off. Do not rely on Uhaul to track all damages before you go, even if they said it has all been recorded.

I got nailed with $2400 of damages 4 months after my rental a couple years ago. When I rented from them a couple days ago, upon returning the vehicle, they were trying to blame me for damage on the bumper. Luckily, I had taken pictures when picking up the vehicle, otherwise I would have been blamed.

For all of the first timers, I found thta u- haul was the cheapest and more convient for me. You will have to drive yourself or have someone who can drive for you. Will definately recommend your buisness to others. Instructions as to what to do was also straight forward.

I booked a month earlier for a hitch appointment. Drove 100km to this uHaul, and they randomly didn't have the part in stock. I tried calling a few days beforehand just as a precaution and it was impossible to reach the actual store by phone.

Customer service was apologetic and offered to reschedule, which I didn't have a lot of trust in, so I'm getting my hitch installed somewhere else. A pretty big waste of time and messed up my moving plans.

We went to this location on a Thursday, and while speaking with the U-haul representative about a rental, Richa, she requested our phone number, she said that the number we provided belongs to someone else, we told her it is our number, and it has been for awhile. She had the other person’s account showing on the signature pad, and I could see the person’s name, address, phone number, and email. The first mistake she made was not protecting the other customers personal information, and instead of creating a new account for us, she used this person’s account. I asked her why she did that, she told me she couldn’t create a new account because of the phone number? That she removed the other person’s information and replaced it with ours!
The second issue was the representative using her personal phone to scan our drivers license, I questioned this too, she said they only have one company phone and someone else has it.
Last but not least, they charged my credit card twice, and when I went back 3 business days later to ask for a refund, and was told, by Asmita, that the second charge was pending and it would be removed from my account in three business days, and she refused to give me a refund. This second charge is not pending it is definitely posted, I confirmed this with my bank; which of whom has reversed the duplicate charge because U-haul would not. These agents are unprofessional and argumentative with customers.they refused to listen to the customer and refund this extra charge, they did not protect their customers personal information, and they are using personal devices to scan sensitive information, as a customer this is infuriating! From this one experience, I would never use this company again!

I booked a truck to be picked up at your Queensway, Etobicoke location.
When I got to the location, there were three staff behind the counter, one was busy.
I walked up to one of the staff and she said ‘I’M NOT OPEN’, I looked at the other staff and she said ‘me neither’.

Now normally, if one of them had said, ‘we will be with you in a minute’, that would have been fine and I would have waited.

However, upon the response I received, I said, ‘OK I’ll go somewhere else’, as I walked away, the two ladies laughed out loud.

I run a customer service business, I own the business and have over 50 staff. I’m a busy guy, this is not the kind of service I expected.

Obviously your staff don’t own the company otherwise I am sure they would have been nicer. They truly need to be fired.

I will NEVER, NEVER, EVER use U-Haul again.

I like Uhaul in general. In this Etobicoke uhaul all workers are friendly and my favorite was Clarissa. She was nice and accommodating.

The 15ft U-Haul was really bad, especially the transmission. Customer service wasn’t great either. When I asked if the insurance covered liability, some girl (seemed like a supervisor there) didn’t know what liability meant. When I explained it, she said you shouldn’t hit other cars

The process was simple. Costs were mentioned upfront. Just return the truck on time and follow the process correctly (i.e; refuelling the tank to half, cleanly sweeping the truck to avoid 25$ charge, taking clear pictures of the vehicle while returning, and dropping the keys in the key box only after completing the full process) - should be all good.

Note: if you are getting late by 30 mins ish, call the help desk number and get a no charge exemption rather than just dropping off late without notifying them about the delay.

The trucks are very old as mine was above 105,000 miles driven so a lot many kms.

Always take the 15$ insurance that they provide - don’t opt out of it, not worth it all.

The customer service sucks, the lady who answered the phone was rude and hung up the phone. Asked to speak to a manager and she hung up on me. I understand that you lack staff but what a rude way to speak to your customers- couldn't even get a word in. Glad that the calls are recorded.

I find U-Hauls are hit and miss.

This one was a hit.
Reservation was there and good to go on time.

As with all U-hauls, moving dollies etc.nothing is ever in stock even if you're there at 9am.

Truck was clean.
Staff was friendly.
After-hours drop-off was great.

I was able to extend my reservation with ease.

Would rent again from here.

Wry bad experience, they gave me a dirty truck with dirty towels on the floor and once I returned it I got charged 50$. On top of everything I never knew that is you extend the truck and you use it for 24 hours you will get charged almost 400$. I won’t never use u-haul or recommend to friends and family. I usually don’t post reviews but this time they overdid it with charges (they charged 70$ for one line of gas used). Ridiculous!

Some staff here are awesome and then you get the random ones who may have been burned by previous customers who continuously question whether you've filled the gas tank back to where it's supposed to be and then keep telling you that they'll charge you if you're lying.uhmm thanks for threatening me with your policy, that I've completely read, understood and signed in agreement.

Rented a trailer, had to hook it up myself, almost no staff. They are running around, too busy to provide customer service, while the manager gets 10K bonuses every month, they cut down payroll to hire help. Why? Because we still return lol that's why.

I use this place often for my real estate business when I'm staging. The Etobicoke location is super convenient right off the highway. The hours of operation are also long so it's easy to rent and return trucks. The staff is super helpful and friendly. I will continue to rent trucks from this location and highly recommend this establishment. The photo attached is me in the driver's seat. It looks like a really big truck but it's easy to drive.

Casey was fantastic checking me out and she was very through. The vehicle was probably parked outside for a long time, the windshield, window glass and mirrors were dirty. It would help to get a clean vehicle, especially in the winter months. Lastly, the left over cigarette smoke was an irritation with closed windows and heat blowing inside the van. Small things and attention to detail can make this a 5 star experience.

I made a booking and reserved a vehicle plus a storage locker. When I went in for my booking, they did not have a single truck available. By the time they finally found one, I missed my elevator slot. Then I came back to get my storage locker and the guy tells me they're out because it's first come first serve. Then why did I book anything then?

I've previously rented cube vans and trailers from U-Haul but this experience by far was the most sufficient, easy and friendly. They fixed an issue that I encountered by calling 1-800, gave me a promo discount and on the spot and had me going shortly. Recommend this location, busy or not.

Out of all the Uhauls I canvassed in toronto. This one had the most professional service and had the best prices. They have alot of rental trucks parked outside as well

Vehicles are always clean, however the wait times are completely unreasonable. Ive used this location three times now and most recent used the online checkin service - I still had to wait in line for 45 minutes because the vehicle couldn’t be located and I needed to be “re-approved” whatever that meant. Eventually the online system approved me, but then told me I needed to go inside, and collect the keys from the desk. Online service said I should skip the line, but let me tell you that when there are 8+ people in line and you just walk up to the front and ask for keys, nobody, and I mean nobody is happy. Process could easily be improved by having more than 1 staff working on a Saturday morning. Poor woman was very polite and expedient, but must have been stressed beyond belief with how cranky everyone was for having to wait - which was entirely out of her control.

Hitch Installation. Honestly, don't bother. While they are by far the most affordable option and ultimately I did get my hitch installed, it was not worth the hassle.

On April 6,2021 I scheduled a hitch installation online for April 20,2021. The total came to $278.69, this included the hitch ($217.69) and installation cost ($60) - you pay online in advance (I assumed, since I was required to enter the make and model of my car, etc.that the part was available for installation on the date selected). Prior to the original installation date, Uhaul contacted me to let me know that they had not received the part and that the installation would be delayed - they estimated a couple of weeks max - no big deal. As of June 20 (a full two months later), Uhaul still had not procured the part. Every week I would contact Uhaul and request an update. It is not possible to contact the store directly, instead you can only call the 1-800 number. The phone operator then would have to contact the store, and then I would have to wait for the store to contact me just to tell me that they still did not have the part and they could not provide me with an ETA. Only after about 4 calls and explicitly requesting that they leave a voicemail if I couldn't answer did I begin to get updates from them every two weeks - always the same story - no hitch, two more weeks. After two months of waiting, I cancelled the order, since I was able to order the hitch myself on Amazon - the exact same product that Uhaul was originally going to install - and it was delivered to me in two days. I then had Uhaul install the part - for which I was charged $126.00 - more than double the initial installation fee that I was quoted. While Uhaul remains by far the most affordable option for installation, I honestly could not in good faith recommend this company to any anyone looking for a quick and reliable hitch installation.

After an hour booking a trailer in the store, I drove out back to get the trailer and found there were no trailers. The staff member apologized and assured me they wouldn't charge me and he would reverse/cancel the rental. Guess what, a couple days later I got an email confirming my rental and showing charges. I called and the manager assured me they would reverse the charges. A week later, the charges have not been reversed. Terrible run location.

I wish you could give 0 stars. The truck we reserved well in advance was not available. Lady working the front desk was rude and VERY unhelpful. She kept saying "that's just how this company is". While I was asking a question she turns around to help her employee.totally ignoring me. Finally, we were given the wrong size truck and she told me I could find it in the front or maybe the back of the parking lot.could we not be given at least the location of the truck? Moving is stressful without the added stress of unhelpful employees. UHaul needs to do better and send employees to customer service classes.

I've rented a truck here a few times. This has been for both personal and business moves.

The first time, we were attempting to use the contact less pick up. While waiting for confirmation, standing beside our truck, it was rented out from under us and we had to go through the entire process all over again.

The next two times were more straight forward and faster but I wouldn't say that staff are excellent. The staff always seem stressed and annoyed. If I rent again from this location, I will definitely use contact less pick up.

Arrived at uhaul in the early morning for my hitch installation. The staff and team leader Sunny was already there waiting for me and took my car in a few min earlier. Was pleasently surprised by the professionalism and nice atmosphere there. Hitch installed within 40 min. Highly recommend

Nothing really against this location, moreso the company and their online ordering. I placed an order online (3 days ago) for a variety of boxes and moving supplies, and this process was fairly easy. They let you choose a date and time to pick up the order which is also good.

I arrived at the store today at the scheduled time and had to wait a while as there was only one employee working while others milled about, and apparently couldn't help customers when asked. I saw one (not working) employee pass what looked like my order sheet to the other (working) employee so it seemed they would have my order ready. However, when I confirmed my order number the employee told me they were likely out of stock of most items (due to it being the end of the month, but then I confirmed in stock items only a few days ago!), and went around laboriously collecting the boxes they did have on the floor. What is the point of a scheduled pick up when the order is not prepared? The order even said ready for pick up, so according to this employee, within that time people came and bought all the products I ordered and they didn't update my order?

The process of collecting items took a while and by now, other customers started to line up impatiently behind me. When the employee had finished collecting all that they could, I asked about a refund on the out of stock orders. They could not process the refund which was really frustrating, and then went looking around the store for someone to help but no other employees were there! They lamented that the other workers just left them there alone. In frustration I asked for the whole order to be refunded/cancelled instead if they couldn't do specific items. They couldn't do this either and told me I had to call customer service because this was an online order.

I'm not sure if this is something wrong with this location or employees not being able to deal with online orders (this far into the pandemic too, where most places like even small shops have better online processing than this!) or that this is a systemic UHaul problem in general. Either way, extremely aggravating and asinine, and now I have to chase the refund myself. AVOID ONLINE ORDERS FROM THIS LOCATION AND POSSIBLY UHAUL ALLTOGETHER!

Absolutely horrible service. Ordered a hitch to only find out 5 days later it was never ordered. Scrambled and found one, booked an install date. Showed up and said they had no record of the install and cant do it. Almost ruined my vacation.

Had a good experience. Completed the booking online and saw many warnings about hidden fees and to make sure the cost was the same. I did not have this issue, cost was the same. Booked a truck a tow trailer for the car and a staff member hooked up the trailer for us. The only annoying part is that due to liability they will not hook your vehicle up to the tow trailer but it is understandable. Express drop off at our destination was quick and easy using the online portal.

Storefront didn’t open on time, many of us were standing around outside for an hour until an employee finally showed up. They apologized though and my rental truck was promptly ready. Everything went smoothly afterward. Truck got the job done.

Brutal! Do not go to this place. You will regret it. I "booked" a trailer a couple of weeks in advance. I called the morning of the rental to confirm (and waited 30 minutes on hold to do so). When I got there after driving an hour through traffic I was told that they did not have the trailer I had booked. THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS.

I have used uhaul before but will not use them again after this evening. I was disappointed when I was told that I couldn't return my truck even though the door was open and an employee was behind the desk. The frustration increased when I was told to go outside and use the self return online form in the cold. I survived but have lost faith in their customer service.

Went on time to pick up the truck and there was 12 people infront of us and only 2 cashiers. Took an hour to finally get our truck.
We were moving so time was very important that day.

Youre better of going with Budget rentals.

Simply put the most disappointing experience with a truck rental service. I give them 1 star because customer service is polite and nice. But their reservation is non existant. After having reserved a 20 ft truck over 1 month in advance, they called 3 days before saying they don't have my reservation. As a Realtor I am going to warn ALL MY CLIENTS OF THEIR GARBAGE RESERVATION SERVICE. Will never use again.

Disappointed with the service. Tried to contact the store ahead of my rental but had to go through a call service with a promise of a call back. No call back. Now standing in line for a 9am express pickup. Line looks to be about 45 min long. First person still checking out and it has taken 10 min (9 people in line).

Update: very nice person behind desk. Feel sorry for her. Now 15 people in line.

That was the worse customer service I ever seen in my life. I called Head office 3 times make sure the truck will be there. Showed up after 8: 00 am today no truck and trailer at 1472 Queensway.
After an hour a truck was located in Brampton, trying to get to nova Scotis. Not today. Not happy with Etkbicoke service at all.

Actually a zero rating, was given an appointment date and time (Aug 6/19,7.00am) for hitch installation, over a week prior to install date, took day off, doors were not opened until 7.20am, was informed no hitch delivered, was told by counter person that manager would call me by 11.00am, no one called the entire day.i feel i should be compensated by u-haul for showing up for my appointment and them not doing assigned work and me losing a days pay.i will reach out to the manager today and update as required

After waiting over 30 hrs for the managers call which was to be at 11.00am yesterday, which never happened I reached out to Safe-Pull Trailor Hitches and they said the could have the hitch the next day, I set the appointment and was confirmed today by the service dept, so if you want to be a satisfied Trailor hitch customer stay away from U-haul and check out Safe-Pull Trailor Hitches, that is my opinion after such a let down and wasted day by U- haul Etobicoke
STAY AWAY.from here!

The worst company! I booked a truck through costumer service assured me I can rent for 24 hours. When I was about to pick it up the time they're giving me is 6pm-4am. Keeping the truck at the is pointless when your moving time is 10am- 4pm the next day. I was surprised when the Manager told me never book online or costumer service as it won't gonna work for them. Ruined my day and moving schedule!
