U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

Reserved a cargo van but when I arrived there were none available. The only thing they could do was provide a cube truck, and it would incur the additional km rate.

We took it to get the bookshelf we needed to pick up, but it was larger than needed and meant we canceled our other errands.

Would not recommend, especially for the smaller vehicles, as reservations mean nothing.

Faced 3 notable issues with this awful location - I highly recommend going to another UHaul dealer:
1) Received a truck which needed a new battery. I had a 2h delay waiting for UHaul maintenance to replace the battery.
2) Upon return, due to the delay above, I missed my return time. The staff onsite proceeded to blame me for the issue, speaking to me with anger in an unprofessional manner.
3) After return, I was assessed $60 of additional fuel charges, despite bringing the vehicle back at the same level I had received.which was less than a quarter tank of fuel.

Best Uhaul experience I have ever had. The chap at the desk was efficient, friendly and came out to the yard during hooking and unhooking the trailer. He deserves a raise.

Input the wrong starting mileage and claimed I drove over 200km in 2 hours. Claimed they sent the confirmation access link, however I did not receive anything of the sort. Unwilling to accept mistake and make right.

I use this u haul every time. These guys are nice and friendly an honest. Honestly it's not your typical u haul experience

Brilliant service! He called one day before and also in the morning of the booking day. We were traveling 5 hours to get there and he called the third time to ask if we needed to change the pick up time (because after one hour past from the pick up time the booking gets cancelled). At the check in everything went smooth and fast. We had a trailer to drop off at a different location but he accepted to take it there so we didn’t need to do another 30 minutes drive to return the trailer.

The guy running the show here was awesome! Really friendly and eager to help.was having trouble w the website pickup option so he called in for me and then dealt with it in person. Would recommend.

Do NOT rent from this location. You will regret it. Why people like this are in business amazes me. Totally unprofessional, unreliable and untrustworthy. Take a hard pass on this one.

Friendly service, quick and easy dropoff. Had to wait a bit for pickup due to tech issues, but the person helping us apologized a cpl times (a first for me). And let's face it, we've all experienced tech issues before. Will definitely rent from here again.

Super fast, no bs Uhaul rental. Owner was respectful and quick with the service. Highly recommend this location.

Very friendly owner nice and accommodating. This is not on the owner but on Uhaul, if your paying with a visa debit card to do your reservation. It doesn't charge you the taxes. Unfortunately his setup can't take Visa debit cards. So had to call in to pay the rest off.

Very friendly customer service and accomodate us when we were running a bit late. Truck was clean and ready to go. Great experience.

Called to book a uhaul and a man answered and i could barely hear him. When i told him that i couldnt hear him, he responded rudely with "WHAT U WANT? "

What a waste of time. Poor service, unrealistic excessive procedure that could have been done before t hand if informed. After more than an hour they decided it wasn't worth their effort

Selected this location to pick up a U-Haul van which turned out to be a very big mistake. After showing up 10 minutes early to check in, I learned the manager had decided to close up early (2 hours before closing). After waiting around for 15+ minutes, a lower employee approached and attempted to help but could not access keys and forms for the vehicle and called the manager to let him know we were present for our reservation, but the manager had said he would not show up. This was extremely poor service and complicated an already time sensitive move.

I had a reservation for jan 17. Was called that morning to say my truck was stuck in the snow. Sent to Brampton but told upon arriving there they did not have a truck. Went to another location and found a truck after being told there was none. By then i was 1 pm. My move was very delayed. I needed the truck for the second day to finish due to this delay. That was a blizzard. The truck had very inadequate tires and broken wipers. Putting myself and my sons lives in danger.
Upon returning the truck, the employees were very rude. And now have charged me twice! I am very upset

Rented a trailer from this U-Haul dealer. All was fine, a bit of a sketchy place. I would be hesitant to recommend anyone who is less than an experienced driver with a trailer due to their very tight parking area full of taxis and unused containers and car/truck wrecks.

Slow, disorganized, and unapologetic service. They did not have the dolly I needed and never told me until I went back to inquire. Avoid this location, if possible.

They took an incorrect reading of the odometer before I left the lot, effectively charging me for an extra 100 km ($50). I called them and explained, they told me that they would be in touch when they double checked the odometer history. Never heard back from them, never got refunded.

When we arrived, we were told "yeah, we don't have the van. " They then called one specific other location in Scarborough (!) and told us were "lucky" to get a van (again, which we reserved). We were told "it's the end of the month; everyone moves at the end of the month, " and that we should have had moved some other time. We left and I called the College Street location and explained the situation and got a van there straight away.

The employee wasn't really rude but didn't seem to apologetic, either. It seemed shady to me that in one phone call to another local dealer I was able to find a truck, but he wanted us to go to the other end of Scarborough.

To their credit, U-Haul did call us at with a potential alternative, but that was the head office and not these guys.
