Terrible and the owner is a liar and a thief. I’ll give the 5 stars for professional stealing cause they charged me twice for payment without my knowledge

We went a trailer on Saturday and they charge us Double what UHAUL said it would cost. I uhaul called Saturday evening to make sure everything was okay because they have had trouble with this location. I still have yet to be refunded. The man who was at the store called me this am to get my email address to he could e-transfer the balance. I sent it to him right away- it’s been 5 hours. My husband drive over there and no one was there to open the door. I feel like I’ve been scammed.

WORST Location. He’s a thief. This man stole 200 dollars from me for bringing the truck in later that day. Stating that it was in my unknown “contract”. Uhual couldn’t do anything about because the charge did not show on their end.

Contract said to return truck to them with 1/4 tank so I returned it with 1/2 a tank. They stated I left it below 1/4 and charged me $55.

Tried to call several times to get it sorted but they never answered.

Update:

After calling over a period of weeks, finally arranged to meet with the guy, agreed to etransfer the refund the next day. After another couple weeks of no refund or returned calls, uhaul head office stepped in to correct the matter.

Nobody in the building every time I’ve visited this location. I’ve shown up for trailers and nobody’s been here. Cancelled and gone to Essa Road location. Van rental went well due to the fact that it was self serve pickup. Voicemail is always full. Overall bad experience here except for my recent one because I checked myself in. Should turn this location into a fully self serve instead of relying on the business. Van however was dirty when I picked it up, and was parked on an angle not in the lines. All vans were parked horrendously. There’s also an unplated U-Haul van here with smashed out windows and beat up. This location obviously doesn’t care about their customer satisfaction. Use the U-Haul on Essa Road (Whimsical Emporium) or Cash Express on Dunlop for a better experience.

Absolutely zero issues in years I have used this location. Run very professionally and thanks to the courteous staff.

Stay away from this place. They charged my card 100$ flat under “able Barrie Uhaul”. I called U-haul corporate and they told me that the charge in question wasn’t them and to dispute it with the bank. Called other people who rented from this place and the same thing happened to them. Use another U-haul dealer. One that doesn’t have a sign on the door saying “if no one is here call this number” all the time.

This place is very unprofessional and constantly recharging my card and opening new contracts without my knowledge or concent even after speaking to scheduling head office and them saying it's been closed. I do not recommend this location nor do I believe what there doing to be legal.
Aswell while I had my rental they where texting my phone number from a personal line to receive my credit card information.

They switched my truck 1 hour before the scheduled pickup and wanted me to drive an extra 25 or 45 minutes out of my way to pick up a smaller truck. Would have been way more in gas. Horrible experience. We booked over a month in advance.

When making my reservation, I encountered a significant issue with the pickup/drop-off location and time being switched without prior notification. Had I not checked my reservation online, I would have been left uninformed. When reaching out to this particular location, I was advised that the head office can adjust the date, time, and truck size at their discretion, and that I was to directly contact them for any changes. Despite my initial concerns, the head office ultimately updated my reservation, again with the incorrect address, which I had to rectify. To top it all off, on the day of the move, I was informed that no trucks were available for my reservation in Barrie or its neighboring areas. This left me without a truck for a move that was time-sensitive and scheduled for that afternoon. This marks the second unacceptable experience I have had with this company. I am unable to comprehend how such mismanagement and unprofessionalism continue to be overlooked while they maintain business operations.

Rental snowed-in and filthy dirty.not offered any help in clearing the snow or connecting the trailer.agent doesn't follow U-Haul payment practices. Will never do business or recommend this location

Nobody at the location and Nobody answering the phone. Staff at the business next door told me this is common practice for this business and they are rarely there. Shouldn't be a uhaul dealer if you're never open.

Over charged for my uhaul and no one was there upon scheduled pickup time. Thanks to able moving I will never be using uhaul again.

They charged me a $25 cleaning fee for some reason, the van was left in the exact shape we picked it up. They charged me another $47.40 for mileage when I was asked to provide an estimate for KM's I did so and that was part of the original ad, no extra charge for mileage. There was nothing on the website about the first 149 km's being free. This is nothing short of robbery. False charges of $75.65 on my CC, I emailed the dealer and they are ignoring me. Waiting to here from the corporate side of UHaul, these guys are dirty, stay away at all costs! How they are allowed to operate is shameful.
